Any eugenics program would require intentional selection of those to be sterilized/aborted. This is not being done. Who gets an abortion is who wants to get an abortion.
I do not see them turning away white women from abortion clinics...
The fact of eugenics in the USA is that it WAS IMPLEMENTED for a while, mostly in the South, and its targets were principally three groups: blacks, Appalachians and Italians.
The victims were sterilized, usually without understanding what was being done to them. The goal was to prevent "inferior" genes from contaminating the mainstream population. Appalachians were especially targeted because it was feared that as they left Appalachia for jobs they would quickly mix with the mainstream white population and dirty it with their genetic contamination from Native and black ancestry, which whom many are mixed, especially with Cherokee and Shawnee.
MANY women were sterilized during this period, up until WW2 basically.

More twisting of history. Social Darwinism is not a philosophy of the Left, but of the racist right. It is social Darwinism even the conservative belief that the poor are poor through their own inferiority. Blame the victim = social Darwinism. They think that's "natural selection".
They also use a lot of misappropriated Darwinism in talking about capitalism generally.

Note by Me: I disagree with him that this issue is a Left vs. Right deal. It's a freedom vs. oppression deal since people from across the political spectrum want freedom and abhor oppression of any form against anyone.
