Times of the 21st Century.
Christianity in the 21st century has been filled with excitement, people being saved, and massive controversies in this continuing war on terror. Like in all religions and social movements, there are diverse Christians with divergent views on theology and political matters. By 2001, Armenia marks the 1700 anniversary of Christianity as its state's religion. The King of Armenia in 301 A.D. was the first country to adopt Christianity as its state religion. By 2003, Mission Province is formed in the Church of Sweden making a new era for confessional Lutheranism in Scandinavia. There is the publication of "Back to Jerusalem Called to Complete the Great Commission in 2003. By 2003, the Coptic priest Zakaria Botros started his television and internet mission to Muslims, resulting in thousands of conversions. By 2005, Pope John Paul II died, and Pope Benedict XVI was elected by the Vatican. Controversies exist involving Christians grow. In 2005, the United Church of Christ became the first Protestant denomination to support same sex marriage in America, and one of the first denominations worldwide to so do. In 2006, the World Methodist Council voted unanimously to adopt the Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Justification. By 2006, Abdul Rahman, an Afghan Christian convert, was forced out of Afghanistan by local Muslim leaders and exiled to Italy. To this day in 2026, Christians are persecuted worldwide from Africa to Asia by terrorists and extremists who don't respect the legitimate, sacrosanct concept of religious freedom (which is a very vital human right). Another theological debate is the issue of Zionism. There are two groups. One group of Christians follow Christian Zionism or the belief that Christians must support Israel in fulfillment of Bible prophecy and doctrines found in the OT and NT. Many other Christians oppose Christian Zionism because they follow the replacement theology (or that Gentiles are grafted into Israel thereby the Church replaces Israel), some are opposed to the policies of the Israeli government, and some don't believe that Israel being a nation now is not prophetic. In 2006, there was the Jerusalem Declaration on Christian Zionism being signed by many Christian denominations in the Middle East that criticizes the doctrine as associating the Gospel with imperialism and militarism. What is the truth? The truth is more nuance. There are Christian Palestinians, and they are our brothers and sisters in Christ who should be treated with dignity and respect. Netanyahu's government in Israel using war crimes in Gaza, etc. have no justification. Yet, the war crimes by Netanyahu are not to be blamed on all Jewish people collectively (which is akin to blaming all Americans collectively for the war crimes in Iran and the Caribbean). Therefore, Israel is an imperfect nation, but God is not finished with the Jewish people as the book of Revelation cited 144,000 people from the tribes of Israel. If the Church replaced Israel completely, then that passage of the book of Revelation would have never existed. Pope Benedict XVI promoted personal ordinariates for Anglican Use Catholic. By January 1, 2011, there was a bombing of a church in Alexandria, Egypt, killing 21 people, mostly Christians. Many people like Shahbaz ZBhatti, a Pakistani politician was murdered. She was the only Christian elected member of the National Assembly and spoken openly against Pakistan's blasphemy laws as a violation of religious liberty rights. By the 2010s, Pope Francis was the Pope. Many Christians in the world, from across the political spectrum support conservative or liberal political causes. In the 2020s, there is growth of climate change, and many Christians have been outspoken on environmental issues too. Theological debates continue Christianity from once saved always saved, legalism, the Trinity, social issues, racial issues, gender issues, economic issues, free will, prophecy, and other matters. Yet, one thing is true. Christianity started with Jesus Christ who brought love, truth, and light in the world that all of humanity can be saved. It is important to have racial justice and economic justice plus equality. Along with that, people should repent of sins, live a holy life, and treat people with dignity and respect too. In other words, it is very great to have social justice, but we don't live by bread alone but by the words from the living God.
The Fall of 2026 is almost here. For generations, we have seen history change all of the time. We are in the later part of this 2020s decade. A lot of things have changed from technology to culture. Yet, one thing remains the same which is the truth. Time is ever going fast. I remember 1996 and the year of 2001 just like yesterday, and now we are less than 4 years before 2030. We have lived through a movement more dangerous and powerful than Reaganism and the Southern Strategy put together. It is the MAGA movement, whose major spokesperson is Donald Trump. MAGA is possible the biggest deception in human history, because it has infected the minds of religious people, secular people, people of all ages, and even some person of color have been brainwashed to agree with Trump unconditionally. Trump is supported by far-right people and white nationalists who have perverted interpretations of American history and the belief in the great lie (that true Americans are only made up of white people and everyone else must submit to the agenda of white racism). If Trump was truly honest, why did he try his best to suppress the Epstein files until public outcry forced him to release the Epstein files? Why is he signing laws that benefit the super-rich that only perpetrates the growth of economic inequality in the globe? Why is glorifying traitors and other folks who harmed lives like Thomas Jefferson, Robert E. Lee, Andrew Jackson, etc. This signifies how MAGA hates America. If they truly love America, they will promote policies and laws to clean our environment, promote diversity, strengthen our voting laws, protect our civil liberties, and expand human rights for all people. We don't need far right authoritarianism and fascism masquerading as "patriotism." We just need true liberty. The unjust Iranian war was truly a turning point. Many MAGA people have left the movement over the Iranian War, because that war was so unjust that the vast majority of Americans didn't agree with it when true, strong diplomacy would have saved lives.
Infrastructure has made the world go around for millennia among human history. Infrastructure is about the foundational physical and organizational systems that support a society's economy and daily functions. It is mainly divided into hard infrastructure (in dealing with tangible physical networks) and soft infrastructure (that deals with services and institutions that support human and economic development). In terms of hard infrastructure, people created these physical, capital-intensive structures to a keep daily events occurring. They can deal with transportation. That has systems that enable physical movements of people and goods such as Roadways, railways, aviation hubs, ports, and bridges. Nowadays, we have plans that can break the sound barrier and light rails that came go above 300 mph (like Japan's L0 Series Maglev and the Shanghai Maglev). You have energy that has facilities and grids that generate transmit, and store power and energy (from coal, natural gas, nuclear, and renewables like wind and solar). Water and waste have networks for clean water supply, irrigation, wastewater treatment, sanitation, and waste management. There are telecommunications that has telecommunication lines, cellular towers, broadband internet, satellites. There is IT infrastructure like hardware, data, centers, and cloud computing architectures that support digital data exchange.
Social infrastructure deals with education, healthcare, public security and governance, and financial services. Education has infrastructure that deals with learning, skill development, and it is filled with locations like public schools, universities, and training centers. Healthcare has hospitals, clinics, and public health agencies that promote public health and physical wellbeing. Public security and governance have institutions that deal with order like police forces, dire departments, courts of law, and national defense. There are many financial services that handle monetary systems like banking networks, and other regulatory bodies that manage economic activity.
I have lived during the time of September 11, 2001. It was a sunny day when it happened on a Tuesday morning. Then, the attacks transpired in a brutal, coordinated fashion. The terror on that day was unlike anything that I have witnessed in my life. It was the worst terrorist attack on American soil since the Pearl Harbor bombing back on December 7, 1941 (and the pogroms against black Americans in Red Summer and during the 19th century). The 9/11 tragedy existed in New York City, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Buildings fell down, there was smoke all-over Downtown Manhattan, and people in New York City ran for their lives. To this day, many victims of 9/11 suffer cancer from the smoke spreading around vociferously in the air. Many victims of the smoke from 9/11 have passed away from cancer and other illnesses for years. The only people responsible for these attacks are al-Qaeda terrorists who were stone cold cowards. There is absolutely no excuse whatsoever for murdering innocent human life in cold blood period. Morality and integrity matter, and Osama bin Laden and his al-Qaeda network are the antithesis of true honor and morality. News coverage of the events was everywhere involving the attacks. Yet, these events never existed in a complete and utter vacuum. Heroes were in 9/11. People in planes fought the hijackers to prevent Flight 93 from hitting the White House or the United States Capitol building. People saved lives in the rubble of the Twin Towers and the Pentagon. Some first responders sacrificed their lives in protecting lives and saving human beings too. These are the real, sometimes unsung stories of the real champions of liberty and justice for all. Immediately after 9/11, there was a sense of patriotism, but some exploited patriotism for nefarious purposes. Many racists, xenophobes, and Islamophobes illegally and unjustly vandalized mosques and Islamic cultural centers immediately after 9/11. I remembered that vividly back in 2001. There was anthrax in many locations spreading too. Many Muslims in New York City and nationwide were harassed, profiled, assaulted, and discriminated against. Even President George W. Bush had to condemn these evils as a person's creed or religion shouldn't be used as an excuse for anyone to express bigotry and discrimination. Bush Jr. and the neo-conservatives promoted the War on Terror, attacked Afghanistan, created the unjust war in Iraq, and passed controversial (in my opinion) anti-civil liberty laws like the USA Patriot Act. There was the warrantless spying on Americans too by the NSA, etc. So, we live in a Brave New World when police with automatic weapons are around and the growth of Big Brother technology (which has been accelerated with new A.I. devices). By the 2010s and the 2020s, we have more regional wars and conflicts found in the Middle East, other parts of Asia, Africa, Europe, etc. September 11th should make us awareness that evil exist and the only way to combat it is to promote goodness and righteousness in causing the Dream to be made real in the Universe.
A tree is part of nature in many ways. A tree is a perennial plant with an elongated stem or trunk, usually supporting trees and leaves. In some usages, the definition of a tree may be narrower, e.g., including only woody plants with secondary growth, only plants that are usable as lumber, or only plants above a specified height. Wider definitions include taller palms, tree ferns, bananas, and bamboos. Trees are not a monophyletic taxonomic group but consist of a wide variety of plant species that have independently evolved a trunk and branches as a way to tower above other plants to compete for sunlight. The majority of tree species are angiosperms or hardwoods; of the rest, many are gymnosperms or softwoods. Trees tend to be long-lived, some trees reaching several thousand years old. The earliest trees evolved around 400 million years ago, and it is estimated that there are around three trillion mature trees in the world currently. A tree typically has many secondary branches supported clear of the ground by the trunk, which typically contains woody tissue for strength, and vascular tissue to carry materials from one part of the tree to another. For most trees the trunk is surrounded by a layer of bark which serves as a protective barrier. Below the ground, the roots branch and spread out widely; they serve to anchor the tree and extract moisture and nutrients from the soil. Above ground, the branches divide into smaller branches and shoots. The shoots typically bear leaves, which capture light energy and convert it into sugars by photosynthesis, providing the food for the tree's growth and development. Trees usually reproduce using seeds. Flowering plants have their seeds inside fruits, while conifers carry their seeds in cones, and tree ferns produce spores instead. Trees play a significant role in reducing erosion and moderating the climate. They remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and store large quantities of carbon in their tissues. Trees and forests provide a habitat for many species of animals and plants. Tropical rainforests are among the most biodiverse habitats in the world. Trees provide shade and shelter, timber for construction, fuel for cooking and heating, and fruit for food as well as having many other uses. In much of the world, forests are shrinking as trees are cleared to increase the amount of land available for agriculture. Because of their longevity and usefulness, trees have always been revered, with sacred groves in various cultures, and they play a role in many of the world's mythologies. In its broadest sense, a tree is any plant with the general form of an elongated stem, or trunk, which supports the photosynthetic leaves or branches at some distance above the ground. Trees are also typically defined by height, with smaller plants from 0.5 to 10 m (1.6 to 32.8 ft) being called shrubs, so the minimum height of a tree is only loosely defined. Large herbaceous plants such as papaya and bananas are trees in this broad sense. Many trees expand by growing more rings. Trees grow large to capture more sunlight.
The popularity of women's basketball has increased around the world for decades. By the 1970s, women's basketball had attracted the International Olympic Committee, which added women's basketball as an official sport of the Olympic Games in 1976; the men had debuted in 1936. Throughout the 1970s, funding for (and interest in) women's basketball began to dramatically increase as schools receiving federal funding began to come into compliance with new laws mandating a lack of discrimination based on sex. The sport was also gaining attention at the collegiate level, under the auspices of the Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (AIAW). America's first professional basketball league for women was founded in 1978 as the Women's Basketball League. The WBL competed for three seasons, launching in 1979 with 8 teams. The league expanded to 14 teams in 1980. Financial issues, poor marketing, and the cancelation of America's participation in the 1980 Summer Olympic Games severely impacted the league's viability, and it collapsed at the end of its third season in 1981. The next major development in women's basketball occurred in 1982 when the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) began to sponsor the sport. After several failed attempts at women's professional leagues in the U.S., the NBA founded the WNBA in 1996. The first nationally televised championship game occurred in 1979. Ivy Kirkpatrick of Stephen F. Austin State University coordinated the collaboration between NBC Sports and the AIAW. Only the title game was televised with Old Dominion University defeating Louisiana Tech University. Thereafter the Women's Final Four has been televised as an annual event.
The creation of the WNBA was officially approved by the NBA Board of Governors on April 24, 1996, and announced at a press conference with players Rebecca Lobo, Lisa Leslie, and Sheryl Swoopes in attendance. The new WNBA had to compete with the recently formed American Basketball League (ABL), another professional women's league that began play in the fall of 1996, but ceased operation during its 1998–99 season. The WNBA began with eight teams: the Charlotte Sting, Cleveland Rockers, Houston Comets, and New York Liberty in the Eastern Conference; and the Los Angeles Sparks, Phoenix Mercury, Sacramento Monarchs, and Utah Starzz in the Western Conference. While the first major women's professional basketball league in the U.S. was the defunct WBL, the WNBA is the only league to receive full backing of the NBA. The WNBA logo, "Logo Woman", paralleled the NBA logo and was selected out of 50 different designs.
After a much-publicized gold medal run by the USA women's national team at the 1996 Summer Olympic Games, the WNBA began its first season on June 21, 1997. The first WNBA game featured the New York Liberty facing the Los Angeles Sparks in Los Angeles. The Liberty defeated the Sparks 67–57. A crowd of 14,284 attended the game at the Great Western Forum in Inglewood, California. The game was televised nationally in the U.S. on the NBC television network. At the start of the 1997 season, the WNBA had television deals with NBC (NBA rights holder), ESPN, and Lifetime. Penny Toler scored the league's first point. The early era of the WNBA dealt with the Houston Rockets dominance in team play from 1997 to 2000. The WNBA centered its marketing campaign, dubbed "We Got Next", around stars Rebecca Lobo, Lisa Leslie, and Sheryl Swoopes. In the league's first season, Leslie's Los Angeles Sparks underperformed, and Swoopes sat out much of the season due to her pregnancy. Perhaps the WNBA's first star was MVP Cynthia Cooper, Swoopes' teammate on the Houston Comets. The Comets defeated Lobo's New York Liberty in the first WNBA championship game. The initial "We Got Next" advertisement ran before each season until it was replaced with a "We Got Game" campaign.
Two teams were added in 1998 (the Detroit Shock and Washington Mystics), and two more in 1999 (the Orlando Miracle and Minnesota Lynx), bringing the total number of teams in the league to 12. The 1999 season began with a collective bargaining agreement between players and the league, marking the first collective bargaining agreement to be signed in the history of women's professional sports. That year, the WNBA also announced it would add four more teams for the 2000 season (the Indiana Fever, Seattle Storm, Miami Sol, and Portland Fire), bringing the league to 16 teams. WNBA president Val Ackerman discussed expansion, saying: "This won't be the end of it. We expect to keep growing the league."
In 1999, the league's chief competition, the American Basketball League (ABL), declared bankruptcy. Many of the ABL's star players, including several Olympic gold medalists (such as Nikki McCray and Dawn Staley) and a number of standout college performers (including Kate Starbird and Jennifer Rizzotti), joined the rosters of WNBA teams, enhancing the overall quality of play in the league. On May 23, 2000, the Comets became the first women’s professional team to be invited to the White House Rose Garden. At the end of the 2000 season, the Comets won their fourth championship, capturing every title since the league's inception. Led by the "Big Three" of Cooper (who won the Finals MVP for all four championships), Swoopes, and Tina Thompson, the Comets dominated every team in the league. Under head coach Van Chancellor, the team posted a 98–24 record their first four seasons (16–3 in the playoffs). After 2000, Cooper retired from the league, and the Comets' dynasty came to an end. Cynthia Cooper entered the WNBA at the age of 34 and won Finals MVP in each of the Houston Comets' four championships. Then, the L.A. Sparks had success in 2001 and 2002. Back then, Lisa Leslie led the L.A. Sparks who was a three time MVP and the first player to dunk in a WNBA game. The Los Angeles Sparks had the best record during the 2001 WNBA season. Led by Lisa Leslie, the Sparks posted a regular-season record of 28–4 and advanced to their first WNBA Finals, sweeping the Charlotte Sting.
Looking for a repeat in 2002, the Sparks again made a strong run toward the postseason, going 25–7 in the regular season under head coach Michael Cooper. Again, Leslie dominated throughout the Playoffs, leading the Sparks to a perfect 6–0 record, beating the New York Liberty in the 2002 Finals. Teams and the league were collectively owned by the NBA until the end of 2002, when the NBA sold WNBA teams either to their NBA counterparts in the same city or to a third party as a result of the dot-com bubble. This led to two teams moving: Utah moved to San Antonio, and Orlando moved to Connecticut and became the first WNBA team to be owned by a third party instead of an NBA franchise. This sale of teams also led to two teams folding, the Miami Sol and Portland Fire, because new owners could not be found. The Women's National Basketball Players Association (WNBPA) threatened to strike in 2003 if a new deal was not reached between players and the league. The result was a delay in the start of the 2003 preseason and the 2003 WNBA draft, along with negative publicity for the league.
Bill Laimbeer took over the Detroit Shock in 2002 as head coach and general manager. He had high hopes for the Shock, despite the team having gone 9–23 its previous season. Three Shock members made it to the 2003 All-Star Game (Swin Cash, Cheryl Ford, and Deanna Nolan), and Laimbeer orchestrated a worst-to-first turnaround with the Shock finishing the season 25–9 and in first place in the Eastern Conference. In the 2003 Finals, the Shock defeated the Los Angeles Sparks 2–1, winning game three in front of a league-record crowd of 22,076. After the 2003 season, the Cleveland Rockers, one of the league's original eight teams, folded because its owners were unwilling to continue operating the franchise.
The WNBA's growth continued. The Seattle Storm had consecutive first-overall draft picks in 2001 and 2002, selecting Lauren Jackson and Sue Bird. The Storm's young core broke through in 2004, finishing second in the Western Conference and advancing to the Finals. In a battle of two first-time finalists, the Storm defeated the Connecticut Sun 2–1 and won their first WNBA title. Anne Donovan became the first woman coach to guide a team to a WNBA championship. Val Ackerman, the first WNBA president, resigned effective February 1, 2005, citing the desire to spend more time with her family. Ackerman later became president of USA Basketball. On February 15, 2005, NBA commissioner David Stern announced that Donna Orender, who had been serving as the senior vice president of the PGA Tour and played for several teams in the now-defunct Women's Pro Basketball League, would be Ackerman's successor as of April 2005. The WNBA awarded an expansion team to Chicago (later named the Chicago Sky) in February 2005. In the off-season, a set of rule changes was approved that made the WNBA more like the NBA. The 2005 Finals was the first played in a best-of-five format. In another matchup between two teams seeking their first championship, the Sun came up short for the second consecutive year, falling in four games to the Sacramento Monarchs led by Yolanda Griffith. In 2006, the league reached a milestone as the first team-oriented women's professional sports league to exist for ten consecutive seasons. On its tenth anniversary, the WNBA released its All-Decade Team, comprising the ten WNBA players who had contributed, through on-court play and off-court activities, the most to women's basketball during the league's existence.
The Shock bounced back in 2006 behind newly acquired Katie Smith, along with six remaining members from their 2003 championship run. The Shock finished second in the Eastern Conference and knocked out first-seeded Connecticut in the second round of the Playoffs. In the Finals, they faced reigning champion Sacramento, winning in Game Five on their home floor. In December 2006, the Charlotte Bobcats organization announced it would no longer operate the Charlotte Sting. Soon after, the WNBA announced the Sting would not operate for 2007. A dispersal draft was held on January 8, 2007. Teams selected in inverse order of their 2006 records with the Chicago Sky receiving the first pick.
The Phoenix Mercury hired coach Paul Westhead before the 2006 season. His up-tempo style of play was perfect for the team, especially after the league shortened the shot clock from 30 to 24 seconds in 2006. Led by their "Big Three" of Cappie Pondexter, Diana Taurasi, and Penny Taylor, the Mercury averaged a league-record 89.0 points per game in 2007, far surpassing the previous record, and were propelled into first place in the Western Conference. Facing reigning champions the Detroit Shock in the 2007 Finals, the Mercury beat Detroit on their home floor in front of 22,076 fans in Game Five to claim their first-ever WNBA title. In October 2007, the WNBA awarded another expansion franchise to Atlanta. Atlanta businessman Ron Terwilliger was the original owner of the new team. Citizens of Atlanta voted on the new team's nickname and colors, selecting the name Atlanta Dream.
During the 2008 regular season, the first-ever outdoor professional basketball game in North America, the Liberty Outdoor Classic, was played at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City. The Indiana Fever defeated the New York Liberty 71–55 in front of over 19,000 fans. In the 2008 Finals, the Shock swept the first-time finalists, the San Antonio Silver Stars, winning their third championship in six years under coach Bill Laimbeer. The victory effectively marked the end of the Shock dynasty, as Laimbeer resigned early in the 2009 season, with the team relocating shortly thereafter. Late in 2008, the WNBA took over ownership of one of the league's original franchises, the Houston Comets. The Comets ceased operations on December 1, 2008, after no owners could be found. A dispersal draft took place on December 8, 2008, with the first pick, Sancho Lyttle, taken by the Atlanta Dream.
Paul Westhead left the Mercury following the 2007 title, and the team faltered in 2008, becoming the first defending champion in league history to miss the playoffs. New head coach Corey Gaines implemented Westhead's style of play, and in 2009, the Mercury once again broke their own record, averaging 92.8 points per game in the regular season. Helped by the return of Taylor, who missed the 2008 season and a large part of the 2009 season, the Mercury clinched first place in the Western Conference and advanced to the 2009 Finals. The championship series was a battle of contrasting styles as the Mercury, number one league offense, faced the Indiana Fever, number three league defense. Phoenix won Game One in overtime, 120–116, the highest scoring game in WNBA playoffs history, and defeated the Fever in five games, capturing their second WNBA championship. Westhead's system influenced his Mercury team, but it also created a domino effect throughout the league. Young athletic players were capable of scoring more and playing at a faster pace. As a league, the 2010 average of 80.35 points per game was its best, surpassing the 69.2 average in the league's inaugural season.

End of the Week Updates in July of 2026.
Todd Blanche was questioned at the confirmation hearing by the Senate. The hearing was very contentious at times and filled with political fireworks. Also, Todd Blanche proved that he would submit to the interests of Trump unconditionally instead of following the Constitution, even if constitutional law contradicts the agenda of Trump. For Blanche to justify the pardoning of January 6th terrorists (many of them convicted of seditious conspiracy) by virtue of him saying that the President has the legal right to pardon who he wants shows his moral lacking. The January 6th terrorists tried to overthrow the government, and these criminals should be in prison not coddled. Blanche was asked questions about the handling of the Epstein files, and he said that he made "mistakes" involving the release of the files showing victims' addresses and other personal information. Blanche purged many hundreds of career Justice Department lawyers. He supported the IRS corrupt immunity deal. Pam Bondi said that Blanche was involved in the release of the Epstein files. Blanche moved Ghislane Maxwell (who worked with Epstein and has been convicted of five counts related to sex trafficking and the sexual abuse of minors along with Jeffrey Esptein on December 29, 2021) to a minimum-security prison. Blanche met with Maxwell with her lawyer before. Blanche was asked by Senator Durbin to meet with the Epstein survivors. Blanche said that new indictments involving the Epstein can occur in the future based on the evidence. Blanche was asked about the scrapped $1.7876 billion "anti-weaponization" fund too. So, Todd Blanche has proven by his words in his confirmation hearing and by his actions that he lacked the political independence to be the new Attorney General of the United States of America.
Trump's DNI pick won't say that Joe Biden explicitly won the 2020 election. The year of 2020 was one of the most important years in human history. I compare that year to 1968. In 2020, political polarization was high, people protested against police brutality, and the COVID-19 pandemic was at its peak killings millions of human beings worldwide. Trump had a lax response to the pandemic, and the pandemic caused a global recession that contributed to Biden winning the 2020 election. After that election, the Trump administration sued massively in trying to steal the election. Yet, they failed. Terrorists on January 6, 2021, invaded the U.S. Capitol building, harmed police officers, spread excrement on the Capitol grounds, waved Neo-nazi and Confederate flags (for the first time in American history in the U.S. Capitol), and had people who wanted to hang former Vice President Mike Pence. Biden won that election fair and square, and that has caused hatred among Trump to this very day. We want to stand up for truth and justice not misinformation.
Vice President J.D. Vance is oblivious to what is going on in America. We have high gas prices, food prices are still high, rent prices have increased, housing supply is low, and the government has allowed ICE to execute people in the streets. Vance talking to Joe Rogan doesn't magically cause those nefarious complications go away. Even Vance's secret service detail said that Vance is having too many vacations. Also, NBC and ABC will not air Trump's Primetime Address Live. The reason is that Trump has promoted so many lies about the 2020 election, that these media companies probably feel that it is unnecessary for the American people to be subjected to anti-democratic propaganda. We have unprecedent corruption among the Trump administration from the crypto situation, lucrative foreign investments, and major stock trades made by the administration's key officials. Trump has fired many federal inspectors' generals, he has allowed the DOJ to target Trump opponents, and the federal agencies have dropped hundreds of corporate fraud investigations and antitrust enforcement actions to benefit corporate donors and special interests. If any Democratic President did one percent of these actions, that President would face impeachment by Republicans. Therefore, we know the truth.
There are many races in Texas. Talarico wants to debate Ken Paxton. Paxton hasn't been in a debate stage in a debate in a long time. Ken Paxton has tons of scandals from money scandals, adultery allegations, and other issues. Paxton wants to hide behind Trump to justify his actions, but no person is above the truth. In Texas, the Texans deserve an elected official who trusts the people of Texas. It is only recently when Ken Paxton has welcomed a debate with James Talarico, but Paxton didn't commit to a specific host. Paxton has been impeached before, made a recent plea deal offered in a child sex abuse case, and accumulated millions of dollars while in office. In foreign affairs, many far right agents love Putin and follow him. Some of them take money from the Russian government to condemn Ukrainians using their God given right of self-defense to defend their lands after being invaded by Putin's forces.
Some sad, shocking news is that Paul Riddick recently passed away at the age of 78 years old. His daughter-in-law confirmed the news today on July 15, 2026. Paul Riddick was a political icon of Hampton Roads, Virginia in the 757. I'm from the 757, and I heard of Paul Riddick for years and decades. I even saw him before on numerous occasions. He was a former Norfolk, Virginia Councilman who was first elected to Norfolk City Council in 1992. He served for over 30 years in Ward 4 in Virginia. He was outspoken, bold, and stood up for the civil rights of black Americans. Riddick was a member of the Southeastern Tidewater Opportunity Project (STOP) and served as an alternate to the Hampton Roads Regional Jail Authority. He was the former President of the Norfolk Branch of the NAACP and was the lead plaintiff in the Riddick v. School Board of the City of Norfolk. Congressman Bobby Scott was his friend and gave his condolences to. Paul Riddick was certainly a giant in the history of Virginia.

Mid Week News.
The New York Times reported that Todd Blanche was pivotal to Trump's retribution campaign via emails (between Trump and Blanche). It is no secret that Donald Trump has worked with Blanche in indicting people that disagree with Trump from James Comey, The SPLC, Letitia James, etc. Blanche will appear before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee on July 15, 2026, for a confirmation hearing. Trump has nominated Todd Blanche to be officially the future U.S. Attorney General. Blanche is currently Acting Attorney General since April 2026 after Trump fired his predecessor, Pamela Bondi. Todd Blanche has not acted independently in his duty. He acts very similar to a defense attorney of Trump as he has weaponized the Justice Department and has total allegiance to the President for political reasons. We need an Attorney General that is independent, defends civil rights, and protects the human rights of the American people comprehensively. A federal judge ruled that the DOJ essentially conceded violations of the Epstein Files Transparency Act. Many Epstein survivors and advocacy groups oppose the confirmation of Blanche because of Blanche's handling of the release of the Epstein files (these survivors said that the DOJ revealed personal information including their names, phone numbers, and home addresses while he names of many alleged abusers and powerful people linked to Epstein remained redacted).
Many states are suing Paramount over its proposed deal with Warner Bros. These states want to stop the controversial, blockbuster merger. Trump supports the merger as a means for him to control the political programming of these corporate powerhouses. These states suing this plan are led by California. The proposed merger between Paramount and Warner Brothers would unite some of America's largest movie studios, television newsrooms, and other entertainment properties. That merger will definitely grow the power of monopolies and the agenda of oligarchy. California Attorney General Rob Bnota said in a suit that the merger is unlawful that would cause higher prices, lower quality, and less content for film and television. He states that such a plan would harm movie theaters, basic cable distributors, and audiences of the people in general. Paramount accuses Bonta of having the antitrust laws and the facts wrong. Paramount claims that this plan will grow jobs. The merger deals with Paramount+, CBS Sports, Comedy Central, Vh1, MTV, TNT, TBS, HGTV, Discovery, etc. The owners of Larry and David Ellison have been praised by Trump. Trump wants Warner's CNN to be sold to new owners publicly. Bonta said that the acquisition will be $111 billion and including debt and investment stakes from Saudi Arabia. Paramount and Warner Brothers being merged has not been signed off by the FCC yet.
On this time, it seems that Ukraine is winning the war against Russia. In just one week, Ukraine destroyed or immobilized 105 Russian ships in the Azov and Black Seas. Ukraine has dramatically expanded its long-range capabilities and drone production. Ukraine is targeting tankers, ferries, cargo vessels, ports, and fuel infrastructure. Ukraine wants Russia's supplies involving fuel to go down, so both sides can go into the negotiation table to end the war. Recently, the Sea of Azov is now closed to Russian traffic by order of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to Reuters, Russia halt shipping through the Don-Azov canal after the Ukrainian attack. Ukraine has hit an oil deport in Mikhaylovsk in the Stavropol Krai region of Russia. Russia now has a fuel crisis. Germany will finance the production of 50,000 Shrike FPV drones for Ukraine. The drones will be manufactured by the Ukrainian company SkyFall, while the German firm Auterion will equip them with software and targeting modules. The Shirke 10 was the first Ukrainian drone to shoot down a Russian Mi-8 helicopter since the start of the full-scale war.
Other news is going on. Senate Democrats have blocked Trump's Defense bill over the Iran War. Corporate spending on elections have topped $500 million this year. That's one third of the $1.58 billion dollars in total that corporations have spent since Citizens United in 2010. Hawaii and Montana have plans to neutralize Citizens United. In Iran, the ceasefire seems to be gone now. We have America using new airstrikes in Iran, and Iran attacking Gulf States nations involving military bases, etc. There are more stories coming out about Lindsay Graham. Michael Fanone, one of the D.C. officers assaulted by the January 6th terrorists said that Graham looked at the grieving mother of a dead police officer in the face. Graham told her that he wasn't going to listen to her blame Trump for January 6th. When Fanone showed in camera footage from that day, Graham turned away and looked at his phone. Lindsay Graham was a hypocrite who not only didn't want to embrace truth, but he reveled in promoting policies that hurt Americans and people overseas. Therefore, it is easy to call Graham every name under the sun, but I won't do that. It is certainly time to be bigger than that and to show what we disagree with the man on, so future generations won't have to suffer what we are going through presently.
There have been the recent killings of Lorenoz Salgado Araujo of Houston, Texas and another 26 years old man, who was shot and killed by ICE agents in Biddeford, Maine. The victim in Maine was named Joan Sebastian Guerrero, a 26-year-old who originally came from Colombia. According to the neighbor of Guerrero, Nelson Elias, Guerrero was a young man with a wife and daughter. Nelson told these words to the Portland Press Herald. Elias saw Guerrero's wife crying while holding her daughter's hand when the shooting occurred. There is video and eyewitnesses showing that immigration agents pursued Guerrero in downtown Biddeford in unmarked vehicles, rammed the passenger side of his white sedan, and surrounded him with weapons drawn. The agents fired at least six shots. There is footage showing ICE agents pulling his body from the driver's seat. His wounded head shake the pavement and shackling his wrists behind his back as he lay dying. He was not even the target of the warrant the agents were attempting to execute according to Maine Senator Angus King. The federal government changed stories about why they killed the man. For a while, ICE have killed people with basically immunity and impunity. We have to call this out as it is. This is fascism. Our ancestors and relatives defeated the Nazis by 1945, and we must defeat fascism in our generation. Now, ICE has paused low level vehicle stops after deadly shootings. Abolishing ICE makes perfect sense in my opinion.

Facts About Existence.
Recently, Lindsey Graham passed away at the age of 71 on July 11, 2026. Preliminary information showed that Lindsey Graham passed away via an aortic dissection from cardiovascular disease. In many cases, heart disease can come to people in a silent fashion. There are many people who want to praise him, and others who want to curse him out. What is the truth? The truth is obvious. Lindsey Graham's death was a tragedy, because Graham knew of Trump's bigotry, xenophobia, and disgusting character, but Graham still decided to ally with the MAGA agenda anyway. Back in 2015 and 2016, Graham rightfully called out Trump's bigotry and extremism. Later, Graham became one of Trump's most vociferous supporters from Trump's war in Iran by 2026 and his advocacy of the proposed SAVE Act (which will violate the voting rights of millions of Americans). Lindsey Graham was so extreme in foreign policy matters that he pondered about desiring America to blow parts of Iran off the map. Graham was a fervent imperialist who was a hardliner involving war policy. John McCain opposed Trump, and McCain was a friend to Graham. Yet, Graham supported Trump when Trump used disrespectful comments about McCain, disabled people, black journalists who asked Trump legitimate questions, and people who dissented with his views. Therefore, Lindsey Graham had shown hypocrisy, cowardice, and a sense of desperation to love the MAGA cultic movement by any means necessary. There are those who want to call him every name under the sun. I won't do that, because it is so easy to do that. We are better than that, and it is important to show decorum during this tragic time. I will show in what areas that I disagree with him on. Now, I do agree with Graham on supporting Ukraine as Ukraine has every God given right to use self-defense against Putin's Russian illegal and immoral invasion of Ukraine. Anyone who rightfully condemns war crimes in Gaza (against the Palestinian people) but omits Russian war crimes in Ukraine is a hypocrite period. Lindsey Graham's passing is an end of an era, and we must do our part to stand up for justice for all. The cult of Donald Trump must be opposed, and people should have the right to live in a better world than the present or the past. I won't celebrate his death, because I'm not that type of person, and it's inappropriate in my eyes. Yet, his reactionary views harmed tons of people in South Carolina and worldwide. His life should be a lesson and cautionary tale of what we should not do in our lives. We desire all people to wake up, but Graham failed to see the light of truth on many issues. So, Lindsay Graham knew better, and the disappointment I have for him is very clear.
There is more history that should be known about African American women and men in early basketball leagues during the early to mid-20th century. The New York Rens were the first Black-owned fully professional African American basketball team in history. In 1939, they won the first World's Championship of Professional Basketball. They were the first team to win an official world's championship in the sport. New York City is known as the mecca of the sport of basketball in general. There were dozens of African American women's basketball teams throughout the Black Fives Era of basketball. There are many unsung black women players back then too. There was Dora Cole who played basketball in 1910. Dora Cole played for the New York Girls of Harlem, and she married Conrad Norman, who was the team's head coach who was one of the founders of the Alpha Physical Culture Clubs. There were the Spartans Girls of 1910, Helen Smith in 1934, Eva Miller in 1912, and Inez Patterson who played in ca. 1932. There were Kate Bard of 1937, Edith Trice of 1912, and the Golden Arrows team of ca. 1949. The Spartan Girls Athletic Club of Brooklyn, the sister squad to the Smart Set Athletic Club, featured the Harris sisters, Bernadette, Mary, and Genevieve. Edith Trice played for the Younger Set, whose first game was played in late October 1912. The Roamer Girls of Chicago had Isadore Channels and Kate Bard. Helen Smith was a very tall women who played for the Club Store Co-Eds of Chicago. The team of the Jamaica, Long Island Golden Arrows had star players like Louise Woods, Shirley Farnum, and Ruby Perlotte. The games of these early black women teams were reported by the Amsterdam News, the New York Age (both newspapers were based in Harlem), The Defender (from the Chicago's South Side), and the Courier all over Pittsburgh. There were other teams too. New York City, Big East teams, and the Barclays Center continue to celebrate the early African American women basketball teams in the 21st century too.
The modern times since 9/11 has been an acuminate of dynamic historical events. Since September 11, 2001, we have seen things that would be seen as unimaginable in previous generations from CRISP genetic research to the usage of A.I. to create robotic technology. The U.S./NATO attack in Afghanistan by October 2001 changed everything. It was a war that the West created to find and defeat al-Qaeda and the Taliban. Over 20 years later, the Taliban still controls Afghanistan, and Osama bin Laden was killed in a mission in trying to kill him by U.S. military forces. The Iraq War intervention took place in March 2003 under the orders of then President George W. Bush. It was one of the worst foreign policy blunders in history filled with the deception of Iraq having massive amounts of weapons of mass destruction (promoted by Bush Jr., Powell, and the neo-conservatives), the Abu Ghraib scandals, and other events. Even after the Iraqi surge, American forces left Iraq in a high level after the existence of ISIS by the 2010s. The early 2010s saw the Arab Spring where Middle Eastern people tried to stop authoritarian Middle Eastern government which mixed results. The existed of COVID-19 since 2019 saw up to 33.5 million death being the worst pandemic in over 100 years. We face massive recessions since 2008 and during the 2020 COVID-era (this was the largest global recession since the Great Depression in the 1930s). The COVID-19 pandemic was a global health crisis since mid-2023. The 2020s saw an increase in wars globally like the illegal Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Gaza war, and now the 2026 Iranian war. This era saw hybrid wars, militarized police in America, the growth of authoritarian movement in the world, and a political polarization that has been at its highest since the 1960s and the American Civil War. We witnessed the rise of more 21st century Presidents like Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Trump. Kamala Harris lost the 2024 election, and now we have Trump in his 2nd and final term of office as President. Trump has shown authoritarian policies from attacking the free press as "enemies of the people," supporting DOGE (that has fired tons of innocent people from federal government jobs without a legitimate reason), supported militarized ICE agents to aggressive detain U.S. citizens (not just undocumented immigrants), ending DEI (or Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) programs that has harmed the human rights of various minority groups, trying to whitewash black history, and pardoned the January 6th terrorists. Trump has allowed the U.S. government to murder people in the Caribbean without due process of the law which is in violation of national and international law. Trump's major One Big Beautiful Bill has cut taxes for the super-rich, cut funding for Medicaid and SNAP (with adding more work requirements for people), and the CBO (or the Congressional Budget Office) says that the bill will increase the budget deficit by $3.4 trillion by 2034 (causing 11.8 million people to lose Medicaid coverage and eliminate SNAP benefits for three million people). One good news is that the Supreme Court ended Trump's birthright citizenship ban plan. Now, the DOJ wants four New York Times journalists to testify in court over leaks in dealing with an Air Force One report. This has nothing to do with classified information. This has to do with Trump and the DOJ attacking the freedom of speech and the freedom of the press in trying to intimidate journalists who disagree with Donald Trump. This is in 2026.
I always remember the events of 9/11 like yesterday. The surreal and ironic thing is that many young adults were born after 9/11. Some young people today never seen the Twin Towers fall on live television before. People like us are one of the few people who experienced 9/11 back almost 25 years ago. It started on a Tuesday morning being a very sunny day in Virginia for me. During that time, I was 17 years old and my 18th birthday was coming up in a few months later in the year of 2001. The start of the day was normal and without controversy. It was during the late Summer near Fall. I was a freshman in college back then. First, I woke up to go to a college level Algebra class. I was in the university early in the morning. It was on a Tuesday, so classes readily end early. After the class was over, I came into the University's library to relax. There was a Yahoo chat that was very popular back then. On that Yahoo Chat, people talked about hijacked planes hitting a building in New York City. I didn't believe that at that time, because I couldn't fathom such a horrible event occurring like that. Such terrible events were only imagined in movies or television shows. So, I had great skepticism. I came home early, and I turned on the television at my house. Immediately, I saw the TV screen from the news showing the fires from the crash and massive damage on the Twin Towers. I saw the emotion of reporters and other journalists. An immediate shock certainly was in my consciousness. I knew that this time represented a new era of human history, and nothing will ever be the same again. It was so serious and bad that schools in Virginia came home early. I ate lunch, and tons of people asked questions about the whole nefarious attacks in the United States of America. The whole atmosphere of the day was filled with sadness and shock. Other people unfortunately did evil by vandalizing mosques and Muslim centers across America. Yet, we believe in religious freedom, not religious bigotry. No one of any creed should have his or her houses of worship harmed or desecrated. No one religion should be blamed for the September 11th attacks, only the terrorists who did such cowardly, evil actions. Networks like ABC, NBC, MSNBC, FOX, CNN, etc. have shown nonstop coverage of 9/11 throughout the whole day including the night. I witness the collapse of both Twin Towers live on television. The collapse of Building Number Seven transpired during the afternoon. Many people fought the hijackers on Flight 93, and the airplane crashed as Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Even during the early morning of 9/12, reporters were still on the scene talking about the tragic news. People were in a daze in their faces for weeks after 9/11 too. It took a long time for society in general to break out of the emotional malaise. It took a long time for many human beings to adjust to this new reality.
Back then, many Americans didn't know about Operation Cyclone which was a CIA program to aid, finance, and arm the Afghan mujahideen in Afghanistan from 1979 to 1989 in trying to stop the Soviets from being in Afghanistan. Sources show how the CIA funded Haqqani and Hekmatyar (who were key allies of Osama bin Laden. Many CIA agents, journalists, and U.S. government officials deny any direct CIA funding of Osama bin Laden. You have the right to believe them or not). Haqqani had direct cash payments from CIA agents without the mediation of the ISI. Haqqani and his network were involved in the formation and growth of Al-Qaeda. The US worked with the Pakistani ISI to aid the Afghan Mujahideen too. The victims of this horrendous tragedy of 9/11 suffer pain every day. Afterwards, many voices were suppressed if they spoke out against the most egregious policies of the War on Terror like unjust wars, profiling Muslims unjustly, the Patriot Act, and the warrantless spying against American citizens. One example was when MSNBC's Phil Donahue show was on, his show was immediately cut after Phil spoke out publicly against the Iraq War in 2003. I remember watching the Phil Donahue show and Dave Chapelle debating Pat Buchannan (who was the Knight of Malta known for making far right, extremist statements for decades. He was only an aide to Richard Nixon back in the 1970s). Another example was when Jeremy Glick, the son of a 9/11 victim, was cursed out and disrespected by Bill O'Reilly (who was on FOX News. Bill O'Reilly was later fired for allegations of sexual harassment of women. O'Reilly works for Newsnation now in 2026). Jeremy Glick spoke out against the invasion of Afghanistan. The Bush administration reached massive popularity during the immediate aftermath of 9/11 until the events of the Iraq War and Hurricane Katrina existed. Also, the news coverage has shown the heroic firefighters and other rescues who saved lives. They risked their lives for others. Many of them passed away, so their memories of almsgiving and courage will always be remembered by all of us. After the events of September 11, 2001, I did embrace the love of civil liberties more thoroughly. After the Great Recession of the late 2000's, I certainly became more progressive on economic issues. Every day of my life, I will always remember 9/11 completely.

She later shared that they began dating when she was nineteen, after a year and a half of friendship. On June 14, 2003, she premiered songs from Dangerously in Love during her first solo concert, which was broadcast as a pay-per-view television special. Released ten days later, the album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, selling 317,000 copies in its first week. The second single, "Baby Boy", spent nine consecutive weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100; "Me, Myself and I" and "Naughty Girl" both peaked within the top five. Some of them are lavender, hosta, daylily, and peony. Annuals are plants that last for only one season. They are perfect for beds, borders, and containers like begonia, cosmos, marigold, and petunia. There are cactus and succulents which are water storing plants that are perfect for low-maintenance gardening. They come in all shapes and sizes. They are snake plants, aloe vera, jade plant, and prickly pear cactus. There are roses like hybrid tea roses, grandiflora roses, floribunda roses, and climbing roses. Vines can soften fences and wall like clematis, wisteria, honeysuckle, and ivy. There are bomboo plants like golden bamboo, black bamboo, and Buddha Belly bamboo. Orchids existed like vanilla, cattleya, and phalaenopsis. Houseplants are mostera, pothos, philodendron, peace lily, and Zz plant. Bulbs store energy underground and burst into bloom each season with various colors. They are daffodils, tulips, hyacinths, dhalias, lily, and gladiolus.

There are Democrats and one GOP Senator who want to hold Kash Patel, the FBI Director, accountable for Patel's antics and accused corruption allegations. These Congressional leaders want answers on Patel's BMW purchases and his use of the bureau jet. Whistleblowers said that during his taxpayer funded travels all over America, and that Petel has had helicopter tours and jet ski excursions. Republican Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley written a note in May demanding Patel turn over information about his flights on FBI aircraft and about the FBI's purchase of BMW vehicles. FBI spokesman Ben Williamson said that Patel's travel is consistent with the executive branch requirements. He said that Patel reimbursed all travel and expenses following the Office of Management and Budget rules. The Democrats accuse Patel of demoting personnel in Brussels because Patel wasn't adequately entertained. It is no secret that the Trump administration has wiped out over $1.5 billion in penalties and restitution for taxpayers and victims (after his sweeping pardons of convicted fraudsters). We still have the Iran war when Trump claimed to want to end forever wars. The Republican Congress has refused to give Trump accountability on this issue.
The body of Nolan Wells was recently found in Mississippi. The issue of missing black innocent lives being found dead still exists. Many people are race-neutral and view America as totally free of racism in 2026. That is a lie. In the 2020s alone, racist Patriot Front members marched in Washington, D.C. to promote the agenda of white nationalism and that group existed from another Neo-Nazi organization. In May 2025 (not 1955), a black child was called the n word by a white woman named Shiloh Hendrix. Black soccer players have been called slurs even in the 2026 World Cup in America. Many non-black people make no bones about their disgusting hatred of black people. We have a notorious racist and sexist Pete Hegseth firing qualified black people, women, and other minorities for no legitimate reason whatsoever. This coward Pete Hegseth refuses to allow the military to recognize Black History Month and other heritage month observations when these observations have nothing to do with hate but celebrating cultural diversity. Morgan Freeman is 100 percent wrong to say that ending racism requires us to not talk about it. Ending racism requires ending the system of racism, ending microaggressions, and other comprehensive solutions to defeat racism once and for all. Therefore, Wells should be alive today. A real investigation should take place about his passing. We don't live in a Utopia. That is why we, as black people, must always have THE TALK with black youth about how the world is.
There are many questions not yet answered about the passing of Nolan Xavier Wells. According to Attorney Benjamin Crump, there were deleted messages on Wells' cellphone. Nolan was a very great athlete and he could swim. His family is skeptical that Nolan would drown accidentally. His family wanted the world to know that Noland was a supportive and great young person. The people on the boat took Nolan's cellphone. Hopefully, investigators can use technology to retrieve the deleted text messages. Crump said that there are conflicting accounts from witnesses about whether Nolan said that he was staying behind with a young woman or planned to get back on the boat with his friends to continue to celebrate July 4th. Nolan's body was found near the west end of Horn Island. The state of Mississippi has a long history (back then and now) of reactionary political policies, racial tensions, and resistance to progressive progress in American society. Regardless of what the truth is, Nolan's family deserves the total truth about how their child passed way. Like always, all black lives have dignity and they matter.
On voting rights, one judge rejected the DOJ push for trying to get Fulton County voting data. According to the source of Propublica, Ken Paxton may have violated voting laws in Texas. The issue is that Paxton appears to have used an address where he didn't live to vote six times. This is total hypocrisy from Paxton. The Trump administration wants states to change election practices, or he will withhold federal funding. He wants state election officials to face arrest if they don't remove noncitizens from voter rolls. The problem with those threats is that it is already against federal law for any noncitizen to vote. There is no evidence that there is a massive number of noncitizens voting in federal, state, or local elections. The courts usually rejected the Trump administration's previous efforts to harm voting rights and harm election procedures. Today, the Justice Department is acting as an agent of the Trump administration instead of an politically independent organization. Also, the court has ordered the disbursement of funds to E. Jean Carroll (who accused Trump of sexually abusing her. The court said that Trump is legally liable of sexually abusing E. Jean Carroll).
A lot of news is going on in the world. It has been nine months after the Sharm el-Sheikh peace agreement. It was signed by many Middle Eastern nations and major powers were in attendance. Gaza still is in ruins, the Palestinians face famine, and Israel has expanded its military control across most of the Strip. The agreement wanted to secure the return of Israeli hostage and return of many Palestinians. The issue is that Israeli has been free to violate the conditions without consequence. More than 1,041 Palestinians were killed after the ceasefire started, and 3,372 people were injured. The UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry concluded that Israel's campaign includes the deliberate targeting of Palestinian children. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) used the truce period to expand territorial control from 53 percent to about 64 percent of Gaza. This pushes the Yellow Line westward and carving out new restricted military zones. Netayanhu publicly stated that Israel's military are instruction to go to control 70 percent of Gaza. Israel cut humanitarian aid from 600 trucks a day to 300. Gaza's population control to have food insecurity, water supply issues, and deaths of aid workers. Therefore, this is a war crime.

The NATO Summit, Platner, and Other News.
The NATO Summit is taking place now in Turkey. Turkey is in an unique space. It is part of NATO, it is a gateway country between Europe and Asia. Also, the leader of Turkey has hostility towards Israel. The Iran war continues as Iran has attacked a civilian vessel, and the U.S. attacked Iran in response. The Iranian War has been exposed by the majority of American people and many military leaders. This is not the Iraq War as Iran has a stronger Airforce, army, and navy than Iraq. The 2nd term of Donald Trump has a pure agenda to expand the powers of the executive branch as much as possible to support the MAGA movement. The unitary executive agenda is part and parcel of Trumpism. Now, DOGE has been shutdown after DOGE has ruined the jobs and economic conditions of millions of Americans including black women. Elon Musk ran the program and acted as almost like a co-President. DOGE didn't talk to Congress but shown down USAID which has helped people from other nations for years involving fightingpoverty, fighting HIV/AIDS, and building up foreign aid in many nations of the world. Congress has ceded their authority to Trump plainly speaking except those who disagreed with Trump's political views. Recently, Serbia detained "disposable" Russian agents who are suspected of planning explosions at German defense facility. This foiled attack was one of the first results of Germany's new Center for Countering Hybrid Threats. U.S. Germany, Netherlands, Poland, and Sweden signed a govt. to govt. deal at NATO's Ankra summit to explore a PAC-3 maintenance facility in Europe, per Lockheed Martin. Canada will aid Ukraine to help the nation defend itself from Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine.
We have another woman who said that she was sexually assaulted by Graham Platner, who is running for the Senate in Maine. Many of us have warned people that Platner's fascist tattoos, his previous reactionary statements, and women accusing him of raping and abusing them make us aware that he isn't the best person who should run for the Democratic side of this Maine Senate race. Now, more information and allegations are coming out. Platner denies all allegations. This recent accuser actually dated Platner and agrees with much of Platner's political views, but she wanted her story to come out. She told her therapist first and then went public with her story. Like always, no one should do sexual abuse, sexual harassment, or any evil against any human life. The best thing for this person Platner to do is to drop out of this race and allow another person to run on the Democratic side for the Senate race. Enough is enough. There is a difference between having a few imperfections and allegations of sexual assault and verbal abuse. We are not hypocrites here. Trump has been found liable of sexual abuse, and Trump has disrespected black women journalists, the soldiers, peaceful protesters, and people with mental disabilities. I opposed Trump's views too, but some people still voted for Trump in a disgraceful fashion.
More and more voices are calling for Platner to resign. Platner has been claiming for the working class, and some people claiming to be leftists should be blamed as promoting him as the only option to run against Maine's Republican Senator Susan Collins. As Yemisi Edgeweole said that it best that Platner was cosplaying as being part of working-class values when many so-called "progressives" justified him having Nazi tattoos, said wicked comments, etc. You don't need to give up on character in order to win an election. Even Bernie Sanders desires Platner to step down now. Now, here we are. Many women have accused him of sexual assault, sexual harassment, and verbal abuse. Platner has admitted to having an alcoholic problem. The same hypocrites who lecture us on values decided to promote a person with massive scandals. Daniel Moraff and other Democratic Platner supporters should be blamed as well. David Hogg, who is borderline ageist in my opinion, once supported Platner until these new allegations existed. Hogg even went oyster fishing with Planter on his farm. Then, you have people like Cenk Uygur who said that the national media is politically assassinating Graham Planter. They are not as the media is just reporting on the allegations, the controversies, and the deceptions of Platner. Governor Wes Moore is right to say that Planter should get out of the race now.
The fascist Patriot Front group marched in Washington, D.C. Photos show a black man and a black woman being near them fearing for their lives. One Trump official refuse to say that Trump must condemn the Patriot Front. The evil agenda of Patriot Front has nothing to do with free speech as the agenda of Patriot Front is to desire a white racist ethnostate in America. The Trump administration hates free speech that is anti-MAGA. Trump explicitly called the media the enemy of the state. The DHS promoted remigration which is the agenda to making America have mass deportation of immigrants (especially immigrants of colors) out of America. America is a more diverse, multicultural nation than decades ago, and people like Stephen Miller and the Patriot Front don't like that. The myth is that racists and xenophobes are just wearing a hood. Some wear suits and ties to spew their lies. The Popular Front hid their identities like cowards to show anonymity. Truth doesn't need anonymity. It just exists 24/7 265. Trump sharing a racist post of the Obamas (which shows a falsified image of Barack Obama and Michelle Obama waving before boarding an Air Force One that had spray painted with graffiti shows Trump's jealousy, racism, and rage against progressive ideals).
In the UK, plans are being made to heavily restrict the Internet and social media access. Plans are in America too. For example, some want no one to have access to social media without a ID. These plans have nothing to do with protecting children. It has to do with promoting a Big Brother system that tries to strife the freedom of speech. Some want people to give up their Social Security Number to go into online platforms which is total authoritarian. From Trump promoting massive deregulation of crypto and other people promoting Big Brother policies, we must be clear to promote free speech, democracy, and a totally free Internet. The agenda of promote total and complete removal of anonymous Internet is beyond Democrat vs. Republican. It is about freedom vs. tyranny. FIFA reverses a U.S. soccer's star suspension after a Trump call to FIFA. The situation started when U.S. soccer star Folarin Balogun was given a red card and was suspended. Later, FIFA (with a history of controversies and scandals) later rescinded the red card suspension. Now, Folarin Balogun can play in the U.S. World Card match against Belgium. Trump didn't believe that there was a foul involving that play that caused Balogun to be temporarily suspended. The truth is that during the game of the USMNT's 2-0 victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina had inadvertently stomped on the ankle of an opponent while vying for possession. Trump asked FIFA to review the U.S. player's suspension. The President of FIFA is Gianni Infantino. The Belgium head coach opposed the decision or reinstatement equating to an April Fools' Day joke. The fundamental point is that Trump wanted to get his way with undue influence over the power structure of FIFA.

Early July 2026 Information.
Vatican II was one of the most important events in religious history. It changed the Roman Catholic Church forever. It has been called The Second Ecumenical Council of the Vatican. It was the twenty first and most recent ecumenical council of the Catholic Church. This meeting was in St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican II from October 11, 1962, to December 1965. The two popes who presided over Vatican II were Pope Jon XXIII and Pope Paul VI. The Vatican II conference didn't compromise too much from Vatican documents. It promoted a renewal of Catholic life and discipline, had liturgical reform, promoted ecumenism, and dealt with the modern world. The part of ecumenism called Unitatis redintegratio (or the Restoration of Unity) made it very clear that they want all Christian denominations to be controlled by the Vatican. Its opening words of this decree were "The restoration of unity among all Christians is one of the principal concerns of the Second Vatican Council." Therefore, the Vatican wants all of Christendom to be under the unity of the Vicar of Christ or the Pope. On the other hand, real believers in God must be unity with God alone. Pope John Paul II decades later built on the teaching of unitatis Redintegratio in his encyclical letter of May 25, 1995 called Ut unum sint. Vatican II had four constitutions and nine decrees. The Vatican II event deals with ecclesiology, and the Church's approach to religious freedom. There were controversies of the Council among Protestants and Baptists who viewed it as promoting the heresies of Catholicism. Many traditionalist Catholics disagreed with the Vatican II conference as going too far in compromising in their minds and the traditionalists sought a more hardline approach to Catholic theology. The schematic Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX) was founded in 1970 by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre who is against the Vatican II's decrees. Lefebvre was excommunicated from the Vatican in 1988 after consecrating bishops without papal approval. Pope Benedict XVI lifted the excommunications of the surviving bishops consecrated by Lefebvre, while stating the SSPX had no canonical status in the Church (and its ministers didn't exercise legitimate ministry). As of 2026, the SSPX in its entirety has been excommunicated.
The group called sedevantists believe that the Vatican has been vacant since the death of Pius XII or John XXII, while sedpreivationists hold that later popes are materially but not formally popes. The degree of Digitatis humanae (Of the Dignity of the Human Person) related to religious freedom issues. It spells out the church's support for the protection of religious liberty via a vote of 2,308 to 70. It was significant and promoted by Pope Paul VI on December 7, 1965. This was opposed by many traditionalist Catholics. The Vatican II's views dealt with the evolving world around all of us, but they didn't reject its core doctrines. The Roman Catholicism affirms the head of the church being the Pope, centralized power of the Vatican, the Roman priesthood being celibate by force, sacramentalism, veneration of Mary and the saints, and other false doctrines. The Vatican II Council was an official Catholic doctrinal convocation lasting more than three years and attended by more than 2,400 Roman Catholic bishops. Vatican II believes that the mass is a re-sacrificed, that Christ is present physically and spiritually in the Mass, and the mass's wafer Host must be adored in communion. This is heresy as Communion is symbolic to celebrate the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross. Vatican II is clear that they believe that the Catholic Church alone is where all Christians must get salvation through. Obviously, I don't subscribe to this view. Vatican II believes in the old heresy that Mary is the co-redemptress and intercessor. The Bible is clear that the only mediator between human beings and God is Jesus Christ. So, the Vatican II council have minor changes in some views, but the core doctrines of Roman Catholicism remain very firm.
Building and infrastructure are made up of two main categories being substructure (items made below ground) and super structures (buildings made above ground). They have to have a combination of structural elements, utilities (or building services), and civil works to allow infrastructure to be safe, functional, and connected. There are three major groups of essential components of building and infrastructure. One part is called the structural components (or the skeleton). The skeleton has the foundation (or the lowest load bearing element that transfers the weight of the structure into the soil), columns and beams (or vertical columns supporting the weight from above, while horizontal beams connect them to support the floors and roof), slabs and floors (or flat, horizontal surfaces that act as ceilings, floors, or the foundation for the next level), and walls (or vertical structures that divide rooms, provide security, and support the roof. It can be called partitions or load bearing walls). The 2nd part of infrastructure is the architectural and finishing elements (with the shell and interior). This part has the DPC (or damp proof course being a waterproof layer typically found above the foundation to prevent ground moisture from seeping into the walls), doors and windows (giving access, natural light, and ventilation), staircases plus elevators (or vertical transportation systems connecting different levels), and finishes (or paint, plaster, ceiling tiles, and flooring that give the building its final, aesthetic appearance). The third part deals with utility services like the mechanical/HVAC (dealing with heating, ventilation, and air coordinating systems), pluming and sanitation, electrical and telecom (with power grids, lighting, internet connectivity, and broadband access), and fire and safety (with fire detection, suppression, systems, and emergency exits). The overall point that deals with the broader picture is that true infrastructure is filled with transportation, unities and energy, and water and waste (made up of infrastructure).
The 9/11 Truth Movement remains one of the most controversial social movements in human history. It still is very much powerful in modern day society. To the mainstream corporate media, 9/11 Truth is seen as persona non-grata. In the corporate media, the 9/11 Truth movement has been dismissed and disregarded as lunatic fringe and ought not to be given any serious discussion. Many mainstream newspapers, television hosts, and journalist castigate everyone in the 9/11 Truth movement as extremists without any nuance. We have to reject unnecessary hysteria and view any form of dissent as wrong. In our generation, we should evaluate the 9/11 truth from a fair appraisal. Since we are living in the 25th year anniversary of 9/11, we have to evaluate this movement conclusively for historical and research purposes. Now, the 9/11 truth movement is very diverse in their members. Yet, they are unified in believing in the premise that the official story of 9/11 is false. The official story of the September of the September 11 attacks that a group of Al-Qaeda terrorists had hijacked four airliners and crashed them into the Pentagon and the original World Trade Center Twin Towers (without any governmental knowledge), which consequently collapsed. The 9/11 truth movement rejects the major findings of the 9/11 Commission and the official National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) reports, such as the collapse of 7 World Trade Center. They are divided into many categories. One group believes overtly that the Bush administration or other government/corporate entities engineered the September 11th attacks themselves. Another faction of 9/11 truth believe that the U.S. government had foreknowledge and intentionally allowed the 9/11 attacks to exist. Another group believes that the government covered up the 9/11 attacks for various nefarious purposes. All of these factions are mostly unified in opposing the war on terror, opposing the Patriot Act including the USA Military Commissions Act, and desiring to see social changes in the world. 9/11 Truth members have been made up of people from across the political spectrum like liberals, conservatives, and libertarians. They have promoted their messages via new media platforms like online social networks, blogs, documentaries, podcasts, etc. In 2004, John Buchanan ran for president on a 9/11 truth platform. Jeff Boss ran in the 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020 US presidential elections on platforms promoting the movement. Many desire an independent investigation into the attacks of the September 11 attacks. By June and July 2001, William Cooper and Alex Jones claimed that the US government planned terror attacks that would be blamed on Osama bin Laden. Both began broadcasting the "controlled demolition" conspiracy theory on the day of the 9/11 attacks. Alex Jones is compromised now, and he has been one of the major voices of the 9/11 Truth movement. Other members are Michael Ruppert, Barrie Zwicker, Charles Brisard, Andreas von Bulow, and other people. President George W. Bush has publicly criticized 9/11 Truth as promoting "outrageous conspiracy theories." A major percentage of 9/11 Truth believe that the Twin Towers and Building Number Seven collapsed by a controlled demolition like Steven E. Jones in his 2006 paper, "Why Indeed the WTC Buildings Completely Collapse?" Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth is an organization of architectural and engineering professional who agree with Steven E. Jones. Critics of the 9/11 Truth movement include Matt Tabbi of Rolling Stone, MIT professor Thomas W Eagar, and other people.
My contention or belief is that I agree with the 9/11 Truth Movement on some issues and not on others. Ironically, the 9/11 Truth Movement has did some good in getting more people interested in researching the war on terror, promoting human freedom, and questioning authority. They have done a great job in organizing people to promote human civil liberties and peace in the world. We all know about the imperfections found in the Patriot Act and in the USA Military Commissions Act. We know of the high level of surveillance technology in the world that came after 9/11 too including the excessive actions of ICE in communities nationwide. Many 9/11 Truth members unfortunately have promoted overt hoaxes that only advance falsehoods and not the truth. There are two major factions of the 9/11 Truth Movement. One faction is made up of sincere human beings who try to document information. They want serious research to be presented to the public. The other faction of this movement is made up of people who advance disinformation, falsehoods (like the myth that no plane hit the Pentagon which only distracts from real issues), and don't advance serious, documented information.
Back in March of 2004, the 9/11 Truth movement members met in March 2004 at the International inquiry into 9/11 being held at San Francisco, California. There is the intersectionality of 9/11 Truth members working in peace, environmental, and anti-imperialist movements too. It is not unusual to find that governments throughout human history organize terror to advance fear and control over the people. For example, Operation Gleiwitz was done by the Nazis in order to provoke the Nazi Germany invasion of Poland. We know about Operation Northwoods when some in the government wanted to bomb places in America to provoke an invasion of Cuba. President John F. Kennedy rejected that plan outright. We know about President LBJ exploiting the Gulf of Tonkin situation to advance the Vietnam War in another level. Operation Ajax was when British and American intelligence used a false flag operation to overthrow a democratically elected leader Muhammad Mossadeq from power in Iran (so, Western forces can get the oil resources in Iran. The Shah was installed, and the Shah was a dictator in Iran for decades). Operation Gladio was involved by NATO. Many 9/11 related questions still remain. By the end of this prose, you will know where I agree and disagree with 9/11 Truth. We know that just before 9/11, George W. Bush was ready to sign papers to involved the U.S. in Afghanistan (as sited by the British Jane's International Security magazine, the magazine of India Reacts from June 26, 2001, and from an article from Julian Boger as cited in The Guardian). Also, many of the same folks who claim to be against governmental corruption are allied with the far-right movements of extremists (and excuse neoliberal capitalism).
Some far right extremists even falsely equate neoliberalism with socialism when socialists defended labor rights, civil rights, and human rights for decades and centuries. Some of the fake "patriots" even equate any kind of government intervention with communists. These folks are the paleoconservative, anti-governmental individuals who dismiss any health care programs and have a fetish of gun rights (there is nothing wrong with an innocent person owning a gun, but criminals should never own a gun. A gun is a tool not a god). In our time, we have many of these paleoconservative, info-entertainers who want to sell products and are multimillionaires at the expense of promoting paranoia, xenophobia, nativism, and other evils. We know which info-entertainer that I'm talking about. He's from Austin, Texas. His name is Alex Jones. On February 12, 2016, Alex Jones praised Barry Goldwater. Goldwater was the man who disgracefully opposed the federal Civil Rights Act of 1964 and didn’t rule out using nuclear weapons in Vietnam. His friend was General Curtis LeMay (he executed firebombing of even Japanese civilians during World War II) who tried to provoke war with the Russians during the 1950’s and the 1960’s. Alex Jones is silent on the American Security Council, the World Anti-Communist League, the Council for National Policy, the Western Goals Foundation, and Le Cercle. Alex Jones is also the friend of the notorious racist and sexist Ted Nugent. Birds of a feather do flock together.
It is true that many political elites have done evil against many people and the Third World people, but I reject anti-progressive lies that are meant to advance xenophobia, sexism, and racism. Now, it is very important to expose government corruption. We know that the oligarchy has done illegal actions. I have noticed that these paleaoconservatives only attack the so-called “liberal” Eastern Establishment. They never attack the conservative establishment groups like the Council for National Policy, the American Security Council, Le Cercle, the Pilgrim Society, the John Birch Society, etc. because many of these groups have links to the far-right movements that they endorse. One leading Skulls & Bones author is Kris Millegan. He published the works of Sutton, Iserbyt, and others. His father is Lloyd Millegan, who was a ranking OSS, Army G2, and CIA officer. Lloyd Millegan Sr. was acquainted with John Foster Dulles from a very young age. A few years later Millegan, Sr. was recruited into the OSS and kept tabs on the notoriously reactionary and stubborn General Douglas MacArthur as one of the general's staffers. A full decade later, in 1956, years before the massive American troop involvement in the Vietnam War broke out, he was partying with General Edward Lansdale and even a few North Vietnamese leaders in Saigon. The common lie and myth was that JFK started American military involvement in the Vietnam War. The truth is that Eisenhower had military advisors in Vietnam long before JFK was President. Dulles, along with his brother, later belonged to the Pilgrim Society. MacArthur and Lansdale were favorites of the American Security Council. Even author Alexandra Robbins was a member of the Scroll & Key.
Gordon Duff is senior editor of Veterans Today, has promoted the missile into the Pentagon myth. Dick Eastman is not only a person who believes in the lie that no 757 hit the Pentagon. He is an evil anti-Semite who believes in the slander of Holocaust denial. Jewish people, Roma people, black people, Slavic people, etc. died in the Holocaust by the murderous actions of the evil Nazis. I’m glad that the Allied forces defeated the Nazis by 1945. Many of the disinformation agents are racist Holocaust deniers like Ryan Dawson. Dr. Richard Falk is a CFR member, a proponent of the no plane hit the Pentagon myth, and he was a vocal support of the radical Ayatollah Khomeini back in the day. The CNP have members with links Oliver North and Jack Abramoff. The son of CNP board member Elsa Prince, Erik Prince, later founded and chaired Total Intelligence Solutions and Blackwater USA (with links to the Knights of Malta), the private CIA and Bush White House nexus of the JSOC assassination programs in the post 9/11 world. The CNP or the Council of National Policy is like the conservative version of the CFR where conservative leaders unite to promote their political philosophies. Blackwater later changed its name to Academi, with the new chairman being a long-time key shareholder in Coast to Coast AM. Top-level neocon, former CIA director and known CNP speaker James Woolsey chairs the advisory board of Executive Action, LLC, a firm named after the CIA's term for assassination. Also, these palaeconservatives who talk about conservativism readily believe in unrestrained corporate fascism by opposing any kind of involvement of the state in the market. Some want a ban on taxes and a powerless government. There is a huge difference between moderate socialism and communism. Even socialism is a reality in the world, and some aspects of socialism has helped many people. The corporations that treat its personnel the worst - the lowest wages, the least amount of benefits, the longest hours, the harshest spy and enforcement measures against unionists, etc. are abysmally unjust. Even the good parts of FDR's New Deal program (with similar programs appearing in Western Europe) had progressive parts to it. The New Deal established a minimum wage, a maximum number of working hours, abolished child labor, provided pensions, and set up watchdog agencies for banks and corporations. To a large extent it ended the age of the robber barons and is one of the cornerstones of the modern social democracy. Therefore, there is nothing wrong with exposing real conspiracies, yet we must use accurate information and inspiration to call for justice too. The official story is accurate to mention that many Islamist extremists wanted to attack America, and these extremists did attack America. Yet, it ignores how that anger is a product of U.S. and Western intervention in the Middle East. Also, the official story definitely ignores how governments have exploited terrorist attacks for their own aims of expanding the power of the oligarchy. The official story ignores how U.S. allies provided specific warnings about terrorist threats to America. Many FBI agents who tried to stop the attacks were blocked by headquarters. That was obstruction not incompetence. The official story ignores the CIA’s “plane into building exercise” and NORAD war games (which were conducted by Western forces) during that morning. Around noon on 9/11, air traffic controllers who handled some of the hijacked flights made a recording recalling their experiences of the events from a few hours earlier. The tape was later destroyed by an unidentified FAA supervisor without any transcripts taken. These men were involving in having great influences in the entire WTC complex from leasing to security or involvement in the Western establishment. They are Peter G. Peterson, David Rockefeller, and Maurice Greenberg. Peterson was part of the Blackstone Group, he was a member of the Pilgrim Society, and he visited the Cercle group too. Sir Ronald Grierson was a long-time advisory board cochairman of the group. David Rockefeller, Maurice Greenberg, and Henry Kissinger are friends of each other and part of the political establishment. Many of these people have links to the Trilateral Commission and the Pilgrim Society. Blackstone is headquartered at 345 Park Avenue in Manhattan, New York City, with eight additional offices in the United States, as well as offices in London, Paris, Dusseldorf, Sydney, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing, Shanghai, Madrid, Mumbai, and Dubai. The 9/11 Truth Movement correctly says that there was a deliberate conspiracy (by the neo-cons and other political establishment figures) to use the attacks as an excuse to promote the war on terror, an invasion in Middle Eastern and Central Asian nations, and for the West to get resources throughout the Earth. The 9/11 Truth movement is right that the 9/11 Commission is a complete whitewash of the facts. Some 9/11 truth people unfortunately mix true conclusions with myths and falsehoods (like the no plane hit the Pentagon myth, only explosives alone caused the Twin Towers to fall, and the pod myth). So, the 9/11 Truth Movement has been praised, reviled, and slandered. One thing is true. The 9/11 Truth Movement is here to stay. The 9/11 Truth movement has been courageous to show their views whether people agree with them or not. I agree with 9/11 Truth on some issues and not on others. I want to make that point known.
The 1993 World Trade Center bombing was a prelude to the September 11th attacks. It took place on February 26, 1993, when I was in the fourth grade of elementary school. I remembered the bombing just like yesterday. On that date, Ramzi Yousef and associates carried out a van bomb terrorist attack below the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York City. The 1,336-pound (606 kg) urea nitrate–hydrogen gas enhanced device was intended to make the North Tower collapse onto the South Tower, taking down both skyscrapers and killing tens of thousands of people. While it failed to do so, it was successful in killing six people, and caused over a thousand injuries. About 50,000 people were evacuated from the buildings that day. The attack was planned by a group of terrorists including Yousef, Ahmed Ajaj, Mahmud Abouhalima, Mohammed A. Salameh, Eyad Ismoil, Nidal Ayyad, and Abdul Rahman Yasin. In March 1994, four men were convicted of carrying out the bombing: Ajaj, Abouhalima, Ayyad, and Salameh. The charges included conspiracy, explosive destruction of property, and interstate transportation of explosives. In November 1997, two more were convicted: Ramzi Yousef, the organizer behind the bombings, and Eyad Ismoil, who drove the van carrying the bomb. Emad Salem, an FBI informant and a key witness in the trial of Yousef, Abdul Hakim Murad, and Wali Khan Amin Shah, stated that the bomb itself was built under supervision from the FBI. During his time as an FBI informant, Salem recorded hours of telephone conversations with his FBI handlers. In tapes made after the bombing, Salem alleged that an unnamed FBI supervisor declined to move forward on a plan that would have used a "phony powder" to fool the conspirators into believing that they were working with genuine explosives.
Yousef arrived illegally in the United States on September 1, 1992, traveling with Ahmed Ajaj from Pakistan, though both sat apart on the flight and acted as though they were traveling separately. Ajaj tried to enter using a forged Swedish passport, though it had been altered and thus raised suspicions among Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) officials at John F. Kennedy International Airport. When officials put Ajaj through secondary inspection, they discovered bomb-making instructions and other materials in his luggage, and arrested him. The name Abu Barra, an alias of Mohammed Jamal Khalifa, appeared in the manuals. Yousef entered on a false Iraqi passport claiming political asylum, and was given a hearing date. Yousef set up residence in Jersey City, New Jersey, traveled around New York and New Jersey and called Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman, a controversial blind Muslim cleric, via cell phone. After being introduced to his co-conspirators by Abdel Rahman at the latter's Al-Farooq Mosque in Brooklyn, Yousef began assembling the 1,500-pound (680 kg) urea nitrate–hydrogen gas enhanced device for delivery to the WTC. He ordered chemicals from his hospital room when he had been injured in a car crash – one of three accidents caused by Salameh in late 1992 and early in 1993.
El Sayyid Nosair, one of the blind sheikh's men, was arrested in 1991 for the murder of Rabbi Meir Kahane. According to prosecutors, "the Red" Mahmud Abouhalima, also convicted in the bombing, told Wadih el Hage to buy the .357 caliber revolver used by Nosair in the Kahane shooting. In the initial court case in NYS Criminal Court, Nosair was acquitted of murder but convicted of gun charges (in a related and follow-up case in Federal Court, he was convicted). Dozens of Arabic bomb-making manuals and documents related to terrorist plots were found in Nosair's New Jersey apartment, with manuals from Army Special Warfare Center at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, secret memos linked to the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and 1,440 rounds of ammunition. According to the transcript of his trial, Yousef hoped that his explosion would topple Tower 1 which would fall into Tower 2, killing the occupants of both buildings, which he estimated to be about 250,000 people in revenge for U.S. support for Israel against Palestine. According to journalist Steve Coll, Yousef mailed letters to various New York newspapers just before the attack, in which he claimed he belonged to "Liberation Army, Fifth Battalion." These letters made three demands: an end to all US aid to Israel, an end to US diplomatic relations with Israel, and a pledge by the United States to end interference "with any of the Middle East countries' interior affairs." He stated that the attack on the World Trade Center would be merely the first of such attacks if his demands were not met. Yousef did not make any religious justification for the bombing. When asked about his religious views, he was evasive. The attack took place after noon. Ramzi Youself worked with his Jordanian friend Eyad Ismoil to use a yellow Ford Econoline Ryder van to attack the World Trade Center. They parked on the underground B-2 level. Yousef ignited the 20-foot (6.1 m) fuse, and fled. Twelve minutes later, at 12:18 p.m., the bomb exploded in the underground garage, generating an estimated pressure of 150,000 pounds per square inch (1.0 GPa). The bomb opened a 100-foot-wide (30 m) hole through four sublevels of concrete. The detonation velocity of this bomb was about 15,000 feet per second (10,000 mph; 4.6 km/s) The bomb instantly cut off the World Trade Center's main electrical power line, knocking out the emergency lighting system. The bomb caused smoke to rise to the 93rd floor of both towers, including through the stairwells (which were not pressurized), and smoke went up the damaged elevators in both towers. With thick smoke filling the stairwells, evacuation was difficult for building occupants and led to many smoke inhalation injuries. Hundreds were trapped in elevators in the towers when the power was cut, including a group of 17 kindergartners on their way down from the South Tower observation deck, who were trapped between the 35th and 36th floors for five hours.
Six people were killed: five Port Authority employees, one of whom was pregnant, and a businessman whose car was in the parking garage. Additionally, over 1,000 people were injured, most during the evacuation that followed the blast. A report from the US Fire Administration states that "Among the scores of people who fled to the roofs of the towers, 28 with medical problems were airlifted by New York City police helicopters." It is known that 15 people received traumatic injuries from the blast and 20 complained of cardiac problems. One firefighter was hospitalized, while 87 others, 35 police officers, and an EMS worker were also injured in dealing with the fires and other aftermath.
Also as a result of the loss of power, most of New York City's radio and television stations (except WCBS-TV (channel 2)) lost their over-the-air broadcast signal for almost a week, with television stations only being able to broadcast via cable and satellite via a microwave hookup between the stations and three of the New York area's largest cable companies, Cablevision, Comcast, and Time Warner Cable. Telephone service for much of Lower Manhattan was also disrupted. Yousef's plan was that the North Tower would fall onto the South Tower, collapsing them both. The tower did not collapse, but the garage was severely damaged in the explosion. Had the van been parked closer to the WTC's poured concrete foundations, Yousef's plan might have succeeded. Yousef escaped to Pakistan several hours after the bombing. The bomb had 200 to 300 pounds of a plastic explosive called Semtex. According to the FBI, Yousef was assisted by Iraqi bomb maker Abdul Rahman Yasin, who helped assemble the complex 1,310-pound (590 kg) bomb, which was made of a urea nitrate main charge with aluminum, magnesium and ferric oxide particles surrounding the explosive. The charge used nitroglycerine, ammonium nitrate dynamite, smokeless powder and fuse as booster explosives. Three tanks of bottled hydrogen were also placed in a circular configuration around the main charge, to enhance the fireball and afterburn of the solid metal particles. The use of compressed gas cylinders in this type of attack closely resembles the 1983 Beirut barracks bombing 10 years earlier. Both of these attacks used compressed gas cylinders to create fuel-air and thermobaric bombs that release more energy than conventional high explosives. According to testimony in the bomb trial, only once before the 1993 attack had the FBI recorded a bomb that used urea nitrate. Moreover, FBI agent Frederic Whitehurst was strongly critical of the procedures used to determine that the bomb contained urea nitrate; according to his testimony, he urinated in a vial, dried the urine and gave a sample of it to the analysts, who still concluded that the substance handed to them was urea nitrate. There is the 1993 World Trade Center Bombing Memorial located at the North Pool on Panel N-73.
The capture of Salameh and Yasin led authorities to Ramzi Yousef's apartment, where they found bomb-making materials and a business card from Mohammed Jamal Khalifa. Khalifa was arrested on December 14, 1994, and was deported to Jordan by the INS on May 5, 1995. He was acquitted by a Jordanian court and lived as a free man in Saudi Arabia until he was killed in 2007. In 2002, it was made public that Yasin, the only person involved in the bombing who was never convicted by US authorities, was being held as a prisoner on the outskirts of Baghdad, Iraq since 1994. When journalist Lesley Stahl interviewed him there for a segment on 60 Minutes on May 23, 2002, Yasin appeared in prison pajamas and handcuffs. Yasin has not been seen or heard from since the interview. He was not located during the 2003 invasion of Iraq. In March 1994, Salameh, Nidal Ayyad, Mahmud Abouhalima and Ahmad Ajaj were each convicted in the World Trade Center bombing. In the course of the trial, it was revealed that the FBI had an informant, a former Egyptian army officer named Emad Salem. Salem claimed FBI involvement in building of the bomb. He secretly recorded hundreds of hours of telephone conversations with his FBI handlers. Federal authorities denied Salem's view of events and the New York Times concluded that the tapes "do not make clear the extent to which Federal authorities knew that there was a plan to bomb the World Trade Center, merely that they knew that a bombing of some sort was being discussed." On September 22, 2011, the New York Court of Appeals, in a four to three ruling, excluded the Port Authority from claims of negligence related to the 1993 bombing. In May 1994, they were sentenced to 240 years in prison. In the years since, they have received several sentencing reductions, which could allow them to walk free in their 90s or 100s.
Women's basketball started before 1900. It was part of a dream for women to play basketball professionally. So, women's basketball started in the fall of 1892 at Smith College. Senda Berenson was recently hired as a young physical culture director at Smith. Senda taught basketball to her students, hoping that the activity would improve their physical health. While for men, basketball back in the day was created as an indoor addition to existing team sports like baseball and football. Basketball was the first women's team sport, followed shortly after by hockey, rowing, and volleyball. Basketball's early adherents were affiliated with YMCAs and colleges throughout the United States, and the game quickly spread throughout the country. However, Berenson was taking risks simply in teaching the game to women. Nineteenth-century Victorian culture stressed the frailty of women and prioritized the status of women in the home, and Berenson expressed concern about the women suffering from "nervous fatigue" if games were too strenuous for them. In order to keep it acceptable for women to play at all within Victorian ideals of refinement and gentility, she taught modified rules. To be clear, these Victorian rules are blatantly sexist, but I cite this information for historical context of this time. She increased participation to nine players per team, and the court was divided into three areas. Three players were assigned to each area (guard, center, and forward) and could not cross the line into another area. The ball was moved from section to section by passing or dribbling, and players were limited to three dribbles and could only hold the ball for three seconds. No snatching or batting the ball away from another player was allowed. A center jump was required after each score. Variations of Berenson's rules spread across the country via YMCAs and women's colleges, where educated middle-class women were following the prevailing trend in men's games of playing intercollegiate sports.
Early basketball was played with peach baskets and soccer balls, similarly to the men's game, but women's uniforms again reflected the Victorian culture of the times and were designed to be practical, yet maintain the woman athlete's dignity and femininity. While upper-class women had been playing sports at country clubs since the mid-nineteenth century, they were able to participate in activities such as tennis and croquet in full-length skirts and corsets. However, similar attire was impractical for a more active sport like basketball, so the first trousers for women were worn. Initially loose and covered by a knee-length skirt, these early pants were replaced soon after by loose bloomers over stockings. Despite men being forbidden from watching these collegiate games, the attire still drew public ridicule.
Originally exclusively intramural, the first intercollegiate women's basketball game was played between teams from Stanford University and the University of California, Berkeley, on April 4, 1896. Berenson herself opposed intercollegiate play for women and prioritized the health and fitness benefits for a larger goal: she believed that women, newly entering the workforce and seeking paid jobs outside the home, were at a health-related disadvantage to men, which she saw as limiting women's opportunities and the possibility for equal wages. Obviously, Berenson is wrong to oppose intercollegiate play for women. For much of the early 20th century, other coaches and administrators felt similarly, due in part to an increasing sentiment that men's college sports were becoming too commercialized and exploitive of the athletes. The women's branch of the National Amateur Athletic Foundation was founded in the 1920s, and the organization's goals included keeping women's sports non-competitive by discouraging travel and awards, discouraging publicity, and keeping women coaches and administrators in charge of women's sports. From 1895 until 1970, the term "women's basketball" (or, in New Zealand, "outdoor basketball") was also used to refer to netball, at the time a women's only sport broadly derived from basketball, which evolved in parallel with modern women's basketball. The first professional women's basketball team were the All-American Red Heads. They were founded by C. M. "Ole" Olson in 1936. A lot of people don't know the history of African American history involving basketball during the early 20th century. During the early 1900s, there was the Black Fives Era. This was when many independent all-black women teams existed like the New York Girls, the Spartan Girls of Brooklyn, and the Golden Arrows. The Tribune Girls and The Romas were famous teams. They were sponsored by the Philadelphia Tribune; The Tribune Girls was led by the pioneering athlete Ora Mae Washington. The Tribune Girls had a record of 102-12 record between 1931 and 1934. The Bennett College built one of the best women's basketball teams in America in the 1930s, and the team was disbanded by the 1940s in favor of intramural sports. The Chicago Romas was another great black women's basketball team that went undefeated for six years after World War II. African American women played basketball for sports and to refute the lie that African Americans lacked discipline, leadership skills and intelligence involving athletic expression. Everything changed in 1972 with Title IX. It was passed as an amendment to the Higher Education Act of 1965. The legislation didn't mention sports, but Title IX helped to increase the number of women to compete in amateur and professional athletics. Title IX opened doors to African American and women of every color to be players, coaches, and administrators. Then, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) gained a lot of control of women's collegiate sports.
