Remembrance

Many deaths occured recently. 2 famous ones were the passing away of Jerry Falwell and Yolanda King (the daughter of Dr. Martin Luther King). both individuals were prominent religious figures in American society since the USA is more religious than Europe. Falwell invented the Moral Majoirty in 1979 as a response to the civil excesses of the 1960's Cultural Revolution (involving sex for sake sake and recreational drug use). I agree with Jerry Falwell on social issues, but I believe he was too aligned with the Republican party in recent years. I'm not a hypocrite since Al Sharpton is too aligned with the Democrats. Although, I do believe that preachers have a 1st Amendment right to advocate any policy from the pulpit if they desire. Falwell made controversial statements and he apologized for some of them. Falwell inspired many into going into politics. Yolanda Adams was a person who was a speaker.

One highlight of yesterday was the Presidential debate. One point was that Ron Paul said that U.S. foreign policy contributed to the rise of Islamic extremism (It goes back beyond the Persian Gulf War). That's true, yet Rudy Giulani took offense to that and wanted Paul to retract his statements. He refused. Interactive cell phone poll by FOX gave Ron Paul 2nd place while a MSNBC poll gave Paul first place in their debate opinions. Other polls have Paul winning both debates. In the debate, Hunter and Romney support water boarding torture. Me personally, I don't support torture under any circumstance. If you use torture as a policy, you're no different than the radicals promoting torture against innocents in foreign countries. Paul was demonized harshly by FOX (the supposed "conservative" network) by Hannity and Colmes. Colmes targeted Ron Paul on abortion. Abortion is murder. Not a word in the Constitution supports choice, abortion, or privacy. Roe V. Wade was a federal government take over the issue. Hannity targeted him on terrorism. I want to comment on this. Lately, the mainstream media is targeting the Army of God website. I've visisted that website for years and I like it. They post the writings of Eric Rudolph. I disagree with Eric killing innocent people in terrorism, but he has a right to post his views on the net. I posted his opinion before. His views are right, except for killing innocent people. Some force is justified in prevented evil as long as it isn't violent.
