"Urban Thugs"....­"Yo"......­really? Hes not talking about blacks?? Lets be honest about both these quotes. Who populates the "urban" areas of our major cities (especiall­y Atlanta)? I doubt you will find any White "urban thugs" there. And please lets not pretend that "yo" is a reference to anything other to a common colloquial­ism used most often by blacks and latinos in Americas inner cities. at sending a coded message without them realizing the intent. He is without any
moral integrity. He is playing to the lowest denominato­r in our society.

The Black community is right to be offended. I agree with them.

FYI: The term "thug" is the new n-word. Its code for "black youth." For instance, when a basketball player hits another with his elbow on a rebound, he is called a "thug." When a hockey player swings his stick at another hockey player or starts a free for all fist fight, it is deemed necessary as "part of the game." When a black kid wears his pants on his behind he is called a "thug", when Justin Beiber wears his pants that way its "new teenage culture." When a black kid gets into a fight in school he is considered a "thug". When a white kid gets into a fight at school its because he is going through "teenaged rebellion.­" So yes, when the term "thug" is applied about a city predominat­ed by blacks like Atlanta...­the message is clear! C'mon, dont be so naive. Im sure you got the memo!

Here are the real urban thugs: CEO's making tens of millions of dollars a year while the firms they run practice legalized theft, air and water pollution, the creation of dangerous products for consumers, and fight very inch of regulation on their destructiv­e habits while shipping jobs overseas and paying the least amount for the most work they can squeeze out of a human.
Right on Ed: keep up the good work on calling out these people who get on the radio yelling the equivalent of fire in a movie house!
