News for the end of the Week in Mid May of 2012
There are more information coming about the deal with the debt. Some want to make the debt to take precedent above and beyond human lives. I don't agree with that assumption since human lives are much more important than the debt & deficits. The Speaker of the House Jon Boehner wants to deal with the debt limit. In August of 2011, the nation narrowly avoid hitting its debt limit. This was a product of a last minute deal cut by Congress. The House Republicans threatened to push America into default unless the Democrats supported spending cuts that were larger than the amount of the debt limit increase. Our economy is in a crossroads. Standard & Poor even downgraded America's credit rating. The group did it, because it cited the GOP's complete intransigence regarding revenue increases. The Speaker of the House John Boehner from Ohio wants more austerity and more compromise or hitting the debt limit can come again. So, John Boehner wants the sick policy of massive spending cuts and austerity acts to occur if any increase of the debt limit comes about. This same demand almost pushed the Treasury to the brink of default during last summer's debt limit standoff. According to the Economic Policy Institute, the cuts demanded by the GOP in exchange for raising the debt limit will cost the economy 1.8 million jobs this year. Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner already pushed back on Boehner’s remarks, saying, “this commitment to meet the obligations of the nation, this commitment to protect the creditworthiness of the country, is a fundamental commitment that you can never call into question or violate.” The Republicans allowed ex-President George W. Bush to increase the debt ceiling 7 times under George W. Bush, but they or the Tea Party crowd are reluctant of a debt ceiling increase now (unless their demands are unconditionally met). Trickled down economics caused our recession. The deficit was run up in the trillions for years by unfunded wars, tax cuts for the rich, etc. during the era of the previous President. Economic policies should benefit the 100 percent of America not just the 1% that some desire.
People claim that the CATO Institute is independent, but their record doesn't bore that out. Some people believe that the CATO institute is all about being a corporate front that advances much of the agenda of the Republican Party machine. The Koch brothers (Charles and David) own 50 percent of the libertarian Cato Institute. They filed a suit to recover a 25 percent stake that was held by longtime chairman William Niskanen. Niskanen died last fall and his widow has yet to relinquish those shares. Some view this legal dispute as the nonpartisan Cato Institute battling against the billionaire Koch brothers. The supporters of the CATO Institute said that this group was one of the earliest and most principled critics of the Bush administration's wars abroad and attacks on civil liberties at home. This is strange since John Yoo (the author of the torture memo) served on the Cato Editorial board for the CATO Supreme Review during the Bush Presidency. John Yoo wrote a chapter for a CATO book that talked about the President Clinton administration in an unflattering light. Yoo supported waterboarding, the existence of the Guantanamo Bay facility, warrantlesss wiretapping, etc. CATO executive Ted Galen Carpenter (former VP for Defense and Foreign Policy Studies) agreed with Bush's war on terror and called on Bush to invade Pakistan. The "CATO Policy Report" on their November/December 2001 issue criticized progressive critics of Bush's War on terror as "terrorism's fellow travelers." Some in the CATO Institute wanted the Republican Congress from 2002-2004 to use military strikes in Pakistan. CATO Institute executive Roger Pilon supported the Patriot Act, the expansion of FBI wiretapping in 2002, and he supported Bush's attacks on civl liberties. Sometimes, the CATO Institute did criticize Bush's wars and attacks on civil liberties, but these attacks weren't consistent. Back in 1995, CATO leaders worked with Republican Dick Armey on political matters. The CATO's Institutes board of directors and staff have always included Republican Party supporters, donors, and operatives. Even Knight of St. Gregory Rupert Murdoch was once a CATO board member since he protrayed himself as a civil libertarian and a free marketer. Republican operatives in Cato are numerous and include former Phil Gramm staffer and Bush HUD deputy assistant secretary Mark Calabria, director of Cato’s Financial Regulation Studies; and former Senate Republican Policy Committee analyst Michael Cannon, director of Cato’s health policy studies and adviser to Florida Republican Governor Rick Scott. The racist Charles Murray supports the CATO Institute and has a friendly acquaintance with the Koch brothers for more than 20 years. More recently, since the killing of Trayvon Martin, the Cato Institute has been one of the staunchest defenders of the “Stand Your Ground” laws.
Popular Culture is everywhere. Donna Summer passed away. A lot of folks know the prominent woman Donna Summer as the major anthem singer of the disco musical movement. Disco came about as early as the late 1960's, but it was popular until the early to mid 1970's. She is the Queen of Disco. Her voice was strong (as proven in her songs "If You Walkin' Alone" and "Can't Understand"), sultry, and in many times underrated. Controversy, repentance, and spirituality were a part of her life. Her music celebrated life and celebrated tolerance for human beings of all backgrounds. Today in 2012, we have some "grown folk" music for adults, yet Donna Summer will stand out for generations in the future. When she passed away, she was only 63 years old. She was too young. She passed away because of lung cancer. She believed that the toxins from the 9/11 attack commenced her lung cancer illness. Her life is a reminder that life is precious and we should live our lives to the fullest. Also, we have imperfections and Donna Summer's life proves to us we should strive for personal improvement in spite of our imperfections. I do feel sympathy for her family and her friends. She could never be replaced. Her voice even in the late 1960's was distinct, definitive, and very strong. She had a true gift from God. We have gifts too and it's time in 2012 for us to be live out the real creeds (of equality, the pursuit of happiness, liberty, life, and righteousness). There is something to know about though. People know about the dirt found in Hollywood. One of the major influences in Hollywood is the showing of pantheism in their movies and cultural structures. What is pantheism? Pantheism is a belief that God is not separate from Nature. It's a belief that adheres to the notion that God is found in all matter including Nature, humans, oceans, the sky, animals, etc. (and people can have a religious communion with the natural world). Followers of pantheism view God as just a force found in the Universe that humans can tape into in order to have a connection with the divine. This New Age ideology is embraced in various forms from people like Deepak Chopra, Eckhart Tolle, and others. The reality is that Nature should be respected. I don't believe in wanton destruction of mass trees or the extermination of animal species. Yet, Nature isn't God but a creation of God. Nature isn't perfect and only Almighty God is perfect (since God is the representation of perfection and infinite power. Nature lacks infinite intelligence and infinite power). The worship of Nature (including the worship of the sorath or the sun) is nothing new. It's a common fixture of the Ancient Mystery Schools. This mysticism extends today in various religions, cults, and other organized secret societies. For example, the Masonic and occult imagery from yesterday is found plainly in the infrastructure of the Mormon religion (which uses Mitt Romney as a Trojan Horse to advance reactionary policies. Mormonism teaches the blasphemy that Jesus was a polygamist with many wives and that we can be our own god with a planet filled with wives plus children. Mormonism teaches that Jesus and Lucifer are spirit brothers. Whether Mitt Romney or President Barack Obama is the next President, we have to continue to fight for justice in the world), Roman Catholicism, etc. As for the current President, we know what his agenda is. That is why I oppose the TSA molesting innocent people inside of airports nationwide. I disagree with unelected czars created by this current administration monitoring society and I believe in the sanctity of human life period. I agree with the ideal of self-defense or a human being having the right to bear arms (as found in the Second Amendment). The system of global governance and a single global currency have been goals of elitists for decades & centuries. These policies are antithetical to the aims of nationalism as the higher up establishment hates nationalism obviously. Still, we shouldn't be like some Republicans and present visceral, bigoted hatred toward President Barack Obama. We respect the President as a human being and we honor his family (if we disagree with the man, we disagree with him by using reasoned information excluding fear mongering). Our eyes need to be wide open with discernment from God.
Rep. Dennis Kucinich believes that HR 568 and the NDAA can pave the way for a Western attack in Iran. The House introduced HR 568 in order to scuttle any significant talks with Iran. The Ohio Democratic Congressman said the following: "...Congress is considering two pieces of legislation relating to Iran. The first undermines a diplomatic solution with Iran and lowers the bar for war. The second authorizes a war of choice against Iran and begins military preparations for it.” Section 6 of the HR 568 bill doesn't want any policy that would rely on efforts to contain a nuclear weapons capable Iran. Section (7) urges the President to reaffirm the unacceptability of an Iran with nuclear-weapons capability and opposition to any policy that would rely on containment as an option in response to Iranian enrichment.” In other words, the legislation would sabotage talks with Iran that are scheduled for May 23 and all but ensure an attack on the country. The bill promotes possible war even if Iran has nuclear capability, which is different from developing nuclear weapons. Iran is peacefully developing nuclear power and energy. Iran is permitted to develop nuclear technology for peaceful purposes according to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. The IAEA, the CIA, the Mossad, and The President's Defense Secretary Leon Panetta have all said that Iran is not developing nuclear weapons at this time. Dennis Kucinich believes that HR 4310 or the National Defense Authorization Act can being military preparations for war. Section 1221 makes military action against Iran an U.S. policy and Section 1222 directs the Pentagon to prepare for war. “A plain reading of these provisions in H.R. 4310 taken together with H.R. 568 makes it clear: Congress is setting the stage for war with Iran,” he warns. On May 16, we reported U.S. ambassador to Israel, Daniel Shaprio, told a closed conference in Tel Aviv that the United States has completed preparations for a military strike on Iran. His comments were recorded by a reporter and aired on Israel’s Channel 2 TV and scantily reported in the United States. I definitely believe in negotiation to solve problems without warmongering. The corporate 1 percent should have no cultural or social domination of the rest of us.
Muscles are some of the most important parts of the human body. Some people want to build muscle mass and other folks want their muscle to be more streamlined (or lean). We have the right to choice either function or do something independently with our muscles. As a saying goes: to each it's own. One of the easiest means for a person to build muscle mass is to use dumbbells. Dumbbells can make a person's ancillary muscles work and to produce more compound mass. If someone uses a greater range of motion, it can increase the number of muscles used in training. Using compound movements can allow muscles in every fiber to grow. A person can focus on less developed muscles in order for your can more perfect your training routine. Some muscle groups are easy to grow and other muscles aren't so easily to develop, so it is precisely reasonable for a person to improve muscle development in the trouble areas. It is possible for us to experience unique exercises in order for us to find the best muscle exercises. Warming up before doing exercises is a simple method to gain maximum results and for us to describe the risk of injuries. Using optimum sets (or training heavy and performing numerous repetitions) can burn calories and build up muscle mass. The only exception is that we can't over train. Common sense dictates that proteins and various meats can cause muscles to increase in size (along with the right nutrients). If you want lean muscles, cardio (using done 3-4 days a week) is one special method where that goal can be accomplished. Also, a person can use low weights with many abs and muscle workouts (including sculpting classes & pilates). Consult your doctor before beginning an exercise program, especially if you have previously been inactive, have or are recovering from an illness, or take medication. Start slow when you first begin your workouts and go at your own pace. If you have pain, stop exercising and consult your doctor. If you are using weights, begin with comfortable, light weights and work your way up toward heavier weights as your strength increases. Also, I want to mention this. I'm not ashamed of my personality, of my hair, of my thinking, or what I look like period. I appreciate who I am. I am created in the image of one God, so you shouldn't be ashamed of you. You should be you and do what you need to do in your life (as long it is the right thing). Always question the so-called "knowledge" given to you by the establishment. Believe in wisdom & TRUTH alone.
