Note by Me: You notice how she says that she talks very negatively about the black community. The black community collectively has nothing to do with her being assaulted, but only a small group of sick, criminal individuals. Her being spit upon and disrespected by some ignorant fools is wrong. No one should experience that treatment under any circumstances. So, the Sister is right to criticize those evil people abusing her, but she is wrong to collectively classify the black community in such false, vile, and negative terminologies. Cops like these is a reason why I agree with opposition to police brutality. The police are not some sole guardians of law and order. Real laws and the people are. The people make up the government and the cops. The power of the people created our social systems and the authority of the cops. A lot of those "officers of the law" don't give a inch of concern (what did you think I was going to write. LOL. You know what I'm thinking) about the community. You should never tap dance and scratch your head to the instruments of a devilish system. You stand up for justice and defeat the system in order to a better system that can better the aspirations and the goals of the people. That's the right way in how to fight oppression.

Try and visit some rural south Ga towns like Donalsonville where the white folks who run da town make there on laws, and 99% of the inmates are blacks. And they ride and sit in the black neighborhoods just to profile African Americans. And no black police officer will ever stand up for that injustice. Then you've got cops in large cities like Dallas telling lies like she did in this article. Cops and respect straight b____. ALOT of them are just bullies with badges and to much power. Officer Edwards says, "The Black community that we're there to serve and protect, was trying to kill us."
Clearly, Officer Edwards thinks that the entire Black community was out to "kill them". As if every member of that community (including the children) opened fired upon them. Officer Edwards should understand that it was BLACK THUGS who happened to live in that BLACK community that tried to kill her and the other officers.
This "Sister" is the perfect example of how police officers view Blacks. WE (BLACK FOLK) are the face of criminals even if we are law abiding citizens that happen to share communities with BLACK THUGS. I hope Officer Edwards and other so-called Black officers are also required to undergo RACIAL SENSITIVITY CLASSES.

The majority of the prison population (of all races) are in prison for NONVIOLENT offenses. Therefore it shouldn't be "scary" for a trained officer to deal with the population at large. Now let's talk about numbers. It's a known FACT that Caucasian males use drugs more than Blacks and Hispanics. So, why do you believe Blacks and Hispanics make up a disproportionate amount of drug arrests? Oh never mind, we'll just use those statistics of yours based on RACIAL PROFILING to justify cops mistreatment of minorities. GOT IT.

Sheesh...there's a case going on RIGHT now where the community is questioning the actions of a Dallas police officer. If any person doubts Dallas police is notorious, they should send a black "friend" to Highland Park or Preston Hollow. Dallas police will be around to greet them within five minutes.

It's not that black cops are all of a sudden racist, it's the fact that they turn a blind eye at the HUNDREDS of black men who are KILLED by police annually in this country. The police officer in this article is from Dallas of all places and she's saying she's never seen any police brutality? And when she mentioned it she tried to downplay it! When white cops kill random black men...the black cops help hide the gun. That's the problem.

I have too many male friends who have had to go into Preston Hollow and they were relentlessly harassed. These are some of the most square individuals you would ever meet and they were basically told to do their business and keep it moving. Maybe as a female you were perceived to be less threatening, but please believe that under the right circumstances with the right police officer, regardless of your "appearance" you can become a target.

She's from Dallas police. That pretty much sums it up for me. They (black, white, Hispanic cops) notoriously harass minorities.

She's actually not with the Dallas Police, she is with the Dallas Co. Hospital District police. which is not part of DPD it' just in Dallas. Basically, she is policing the hospital area.

I have never picked up the phone and called for the cops in my ENTIRE life and I'm in my 30's. So no I really don't think I need their help. Cops always use that stock argument as if people especially black people come crawling to them when we need help.
