Yawn. That's not the IMPORTANT question. It's still corporate health care with some reforms. There must be univesal single payer care. Corporations and corporate profit motives must be gotten out of the way. Corporate power itself must be gotten out opf the way.
Is Obamacare a tax or not? This is a simple question, dumbdumb, why can't you answer it?
It is an obstruction to progress and an enemy of democracy.

Yes, I've not had time to do more than peruse Marable's book on Malcolm. But the many of us, the reactionary role of Farrakhan has been obvious for some time. From my perusal, which I will follow up with closer reading once I finish some other projects, it does seem that Manning Marable has documented and pulled together our more fragmented knowledge about what happened between Malcolm X, Noi and Farrakhan.
Right on Sir.
Marable's book is clearly explaining that with a strong documentation from the beginning of the movement.

There's an article by Marable called (if memory serves me well) "Black Nationalism in the 1960s & 70s." I think it came out in 1980, and I definitely read it during the 80s while studying philo at VAnderbilt. I think it was initially published in some edition of Socialist Review b efore it appeared in one of his books.
It's a very interedting piece on the modern historical development of Black naionalism, and he different forms of nationalism. Marable's thinking is a little more nuanced than the analyses once offered by 1960s Panther leaders (for whom there's only REVOLUTONARY & REACTIONARY nationalism)
Marable analyzes more closely the diffent forms of Black nationalsim, describing revolutionary forms ss "left nationalism" and distinguishing it from "Right" nationalism, and various forms (somewhere in between.
NOI, he definitely sees as a form of "right nationalism." It and similar forms of right nationalism resembles a phenomenon that Fanon describes in the opening chapter of Les Damnes de la Terre (The Wretched of the Earth). European colonizers degrade ane exploit the native, relegates him to the status of an animal, depicts him as the "quintessence of evil," and insists "All natives re alike." The native replies that "all settlers are alike", and depicts the whites as evil incarnate. An understandable (maybe unavoidable) reaction, Fanon argues. But also counterproductive and counterrevolutionary in th long run.

But first, you must state which THREE socilist thinkers you've read, and which works of those thinkeres you studied, that allows you even to hve a clue about soaialism at all.
Who have you read: Marx, Martin Buber, Kropotkin, Eugen V. Debs? Rosa luxemburg? Who? I've read them; and since you claim that your master Savant is the ignorant one, you ought to be more infored than I.
So, start by telling us which THREE socialist thinkers you'v read. Then present the evidencd, based on your knowledge of socialism, that the USA & Obama himself are socialist.
