we propped up the shah if iran, saddam hussein, and the dictators of egypt, the saudi royal family and the kuwaiti royal family. the cia also murdered the democratically elected prime minister of iran in the 1950's.

Scarborough should try to talk to people who actually know something! Richard Engel, NBC News's chief foreign correspondent in the middle-east, lives there and speaks the language and is exceptionally knowledgeable. I get so frustrated listening to every Tom-Dick-n-Harry spout their cockamamie theories, and that may be the only thing some people hear.

Way to categorize an entire religion Joe. We are in that hornet's nest because for many decades now, we have attempted to control the region for the sake of oil by manipulating the running of those countries. If Egypt were here doing the same, I know how I would feel. So to believe that the problem is Islam is just a load of baloney. These countries are in turmoil, and they need to establish some reliable leadership.
