Yes, I too agree with Dr. Claude Anderson’s definition of racism -which I presume is what you’ve presented here. Although; now that you’ve ignited the question, I see that it might be useful to also add (to the list of things that racists attach negativity to) “claiming the physical differences of the affected group, to be due to inherent inferiority of that group”. That of course would remove the confusion, that our encouraged race-image hating was not to support the racism that came about at the same time.
Our ancestors did not leave Africa viewing their unique hair, and skin color as: ugly, unrefined, and socially malignant; -to the point where we “their descendants” must still struggle to remove that mindset, while reducing the effects of our efforts, by trying to deny racism’s full impact. It is not normal or natural for any group of human or beast to so overwhelmingly prefer the image of others, as we do; and worse, to try to deny and deflect. Therefore, the problem did not follow us from Africa. It was artificially encoded by psychological and physical tactics of fear.
And since racism was introduced after our ancestors were already producing unlimited wealth for white people, what other reason would compel whites to employ such degrees of evil mechanics, (to get an already disempowered people to become so collectively self-hating) unless to reinforce White-Supremacy Racism, when it became necessary to justify the evil that their guilty consciences couldn’t otherwise reconcile?
So yes my sister! White people not only had to shift blame by skewing their evil actions as the benevolent concern from their supposed superior status, but they also had to ensure that all succeeding generations of us believe it too. Our stark differences in physical features were the best weapon they had us use in our own debasement, which we’re still doing today. Our unnatural race-image-hating succeeded due to the power of group racism, on us as a group too. Therefore it is not enough for so many of us to assert individual rights on the subject of need to lose the group dysfunctions we inherited as a group.
Still; I was calling on us to take responsibility for our Caucasian-image-preference, and start showcasing to the world more of our authentic selves. Then with such self-acceptance and self-worthiness, how could those still with per-programmed racist notions, continue to feel superior, when we’re no longer presenting ourselves as fractional -and worse, as bad imitations of them? The fact that our hair-insanity is a result of racism, did not mean that racism was the issue I was asking us to address. Therefore, to have “racism” undermining the attention we need to give to our hair-insanity –by itself, means that “racism” has automatized us to keep us going around in circles, with every attempt we make to escape. But we can whip it. And I feel that the greatest way is to start again to love and wear our hair!!

Just look at the many white racist comments on the CNN forums in any article about Blacks, to see how many people have white supremacist feelings. It is very, very widespread.

Another great post Lexe

I was once told by an black boss that the guy who I would be sitting next to was racist in not so many words, yet when the guy started making all kinds of trouble for me the black boss, only saw my actions as unforgivable or not right for the work place. This guy could sleep at his desk while the guy who was my supervisor's boss would just walk by and look, and nothing was said. However, my black boss at the time took a fast track way on firing me.
Something how even other blacks will side with the racist. Even when they know who they are. I also remember when I was younger a black lady became supervisor of my unit, all the white men left or resigned in mass, This was in 2000 - 2003. She was a good fair boss, but you could see the white guys hated being told what to do or have their mistakes pointed out by a black person. Which those guys made a lot of mistakes and got away with it under the white managers.
Good post that bring back bad memories.

Timsomor This same racist dynamic is spread across many environments, from academia, business, employment, even when out on the town. Then they say that Blacks tend to have high blood pressure - I wonder why, could it be that hate we are receiving every single day we leave home ?

Great post Lexe,it's just to damn bad most people are to dumb to know why Black people have high blood pressure more then anyone else.I would like all those other races to go through in just one week of what BLACK PEOPLE have to go through everyday dealing with these crazy a** white folks. Then let's see how they feel about them after that.

__________

for anyone to not believe what you said , all you have to do is look at how obama is being treated. thats their proof.

No but the truth is staring you right in the face. If you haven't been listening or watching top republicans just admitted their party is mostly racist against our own POTUS. What a shame white folks like living in the past....

Whites hate blacks but try to imitated everything we do. I don't understand how a race that can't stand our color so bad wants a our way of swag. They want to sing like us, talk like us, dress like us, even tan themselves to look like us. Hell, they are even trying to get our women because they are so dog gone fine. But as far as excepting us in this world; well thRee just not going to happen.....

The article also says:
The poll finds that racial prejudice is not limited to one group of partisans. Although Republicans were more likely than Democrats to express racial prejudice in the questions measuring explicit racism (79 percent among Republicans compared with 32 percent among Democrats), the implicit test found little difference between the two parties. That test showed a majority of both Democrats and Republicans held anti-black feelings (55 percent of Democrats and 64 percent of Republicans), as did about half of political independents (49 percent).
A plague on both their houses.

Do you see what is occurring here? This is no more than a political tactic perpetuated by the AP. After all, the Associated Press is comprised of middle-aged white men. They have never been a friend of President Obama. This is no more than a ploy to remind white people that they must vote their racist insecurities. On another African American website, there is a similar story about everyone voting against whites. This is classic propaganda by the Mainstream Media. All this 'late" polling data around race is indeed nothing but racism. Never mind these polling firms are mainly Republican. Again, this is to make whites feel they are being victimized by all other groups. I'm just sad that African American media has not seen through this farce.
Mainstream Media is not our friend. They never have been. Look at the hell they have put President Obama through. Yet, with our cable and satellite subscriptions, we continue to pay for a system that at its core is racist and shows disdain for the entire American public.

________

And in other news water is wet, republicans are racist, and the sun is very hot.
