The Truth Continues

We know about Rand Paul's Neo-Confederate aide. We have seen the history of racial anti-government libertarianism having links to slavery and racism. This has existed among many slaveholders. Now, Senator Rand Paul hired a senior staff aide who has espoused extreme neo-Confederate views. The reactionaries have all along been linked with slavery, segregation, and racism in America. We know that the libertarian icons Thomas Jefferson, George Mason, and Patrick Henry were slave owning racists. Back then, Southerners disdained federal interference in preventing them from owning other human beings. Some extremists now have a nostalgia for that wicked era of American history. We see the libertarian heroes Ron and Rand Paul criticizing civil rights laws as intrusions to property rights. Jack Hunter is Rand Paul's senior staff member. Jack Hunter toasts the birthday of John Wilkes Booth or the assassin who murdered President Abraham Lincoln at the end of the Civil War. Even the conservative Washington Post columnist Michael Gerson wrote that Hunter has a history of neo-Confederate radio rants. Rand Paul came to the defense of his aid. Hunter said these rants when he was an adult. He even defended the Confederate regime, which was founded on slavery. He compared Abraham Lincoln to Saddam Hussein and made a personal toast every May 10 to celebrate John Wilkes Booth's birthday. Hunter is sick of course. Ron Paul attacked Lincoln for causing the Civil War, which is a lie. He said that Lincoln ruled with an iron fist. Lincoln was not perfect, but he had much greater character than Jefferson Davis. At least Lincoln, changed some of his views by 1865. Rand Paul will not repudiate totally the neo-Confederate movement or his father's words at all for obvious reasons. Extreme libertarianism has always been opposed to the 150 years of expanding federal power even if it is meant to give liberty to human beings. Paulites oppose the 1964 Civil Rights Act for in their minds, it violates states' rights and individual property rights.  Even Gerson falsely claimed that these extremists are not racist, but they wanted private power not the federal government to end the oppression of black human beings. The reality is that private power was never going to do it at all. Libertarians opposed the Constitution since it gave more federal government power as compared to the Articles of Confederation. Anti-Federalists like Patrick Henry and George Mason feared that slavery would end with an expansion of the federal government. This is shown in historians Andrew Burstein and Nancy Isenberg's 2010 called, "Madison and Jefferson." That is why the Jeffersonians tried to enrich Virginia's plantation owners as a means to expand slavery. Even the federal government intervened against segregation. That was a good thing. Back then, these same Southern racists tried to use the argument of the threat of "big government" as a means to justify Jim Crow segregation. The hatred against the first African American President by the racists is beyond just ideological differences. It is about a goal of the reactionaries to roll back key civil rights laws that were enacted almost a half century ago. GOP obstructionists want a Second Jim Crow by using gerrymandering, voter IDs laws, etc. The slick libertarians use the imperial military overreach, government abuses, civil liberty issues, and War on Drug evils as a means to want to destroy any form of the federal government (which is silly since the government can help humanity if it is controlled by the people not by corporate interests). We don't need to love fascism where you are on your own. We are still our brother's keeper and our sister's keeper. There is still value and beauty in the concepts of the individual and the collective. They work in harmony and they can balance each other out in a truly, progressive society. We have huge unemployment, homes being foreclosed, and factories closing their homes. We should fight back and believe in economic populism. So, we need justice from corrupt bankers not a worship of the economic system that brought this crisis in the first place. The free market is not God neither is privatization.

Syria is still important to discuss and mention. The Washington consensus could call for an all-out war with Syria. The conflict continues. Dozens or more die daily in it. The Syrian forces outmatch the Western backed death squad terrorists. These terrorists are not true rebels. They are lawless invaders and hired killers sent to harm the Syrian people. Many of these U.S. proxy fighters are imported from dozens of nations. They are fighting against Syrian independence. Assad's military outguns and outflanks Washington's shock troops. There are reinforcements coming into Syria. Syria could be the next Libya or Libya 2.0. Now, Russia wants a September international peace conference, which should occur. It was at first planned for June. Washington still prioritizes war. Its reactionaries spurn peace. Last year's conference failed. Peace is hard to come by in this situation. European Council President Herman Van Rompuy said the following words: "A military solution to the crisis is impossible. (T)he solution is only diplomatic.” The conflict can end if Washington stops funding proxy terrorists. The White House is involved with the Syrian civil war. The White House can end it. Joint Chief Chairman Martin Dempsey said that he provided the President with options for the use of force. He said the following words: “(I)t would be inappropriate for me to try to influence the decision with me rendering an opinion in public about what kind of force we should use.” John McCain is very hawkish and of course he wants to have a possible military intervention from the West into Syria. He wants a no fly zone implemented, he wanted more arms sent to the terrorists, and there are weapons sent to the rebels now. These actions are illegal without Security Council authorization. This is meddling in Syria's political, economically, and military affairs. These acts harm international law. The military commanders have asked the White House for options. Even the so-called liberal Senator Carl Levin wants Syria to be bombed. He wants Obama to attack airfields, airplanes, and massed artillery. He supports the terrorist insurgency. Many other Democrats love this action. The anti-Assad forces are fighting each other. Extremist Al Nusra insurgents are clashing with the Free Syria Army elements. On July 19, Russia Today headlined “Al Qaeda’s planned emirate in Syria is West’s own doing.” Most Syrians want a secular state. So, Al-Qaeda wants an evil theocracy while the people of Syria want a secular state. So, the extremists want the Western forces to more militarily intervene in Syria. America loves to fight smaller nations. We know that NSA spying undermines civil liberties. Senator Carl Levin and Angus King are still hawkish against Syria. We know that Washington directly aids Al-Qaeda and other extremist groups.

One NSA spokesman accidently admits that the government is spying on virtually all Americans. The NSA has pretended that it only spies on a small number of potential terrorists. The NSA Deputy Director John C. Inglis inadvertently admitted that the NSA could spy on just about all Americans. Inglis told Congress last week that the agency uses a three hop analysis. It is also called three degree analysis. It means that the government can look at the phone data of suspected terrorists, plus the data of all of the contacts, then all of those people's contacts, and all of those people's contacts. This means that the dragnet extends to numerous human beings. If an average human being calls 40 unique people, three hop analyses could allow the government to mine the records of 2.5 million Americans when investigating one suspected terrorist. There are approximately 875,000 people in the government's database of suspected terrorists including many thousands of Americans. This could mean that every single American living on U.S. soil could be caught up in the dragnet. For example, 350 million Americans divided by 2.5 million Americans caught up in dragnet for each suspected terrorist, means that a mere 140 potential terrorists could lead to spying on all Americans.   There are tens of thousands of Americans listed as suspected terrorists including just about anyone who protests anything that the government or big banks do. Even the Electronic Frontier Foundation exposed the following information: "...According to an unusually blunt Senate investigation of so-called “fusion centers” released last month, the TIDE [i.e. suspected terrorist] database is also full of information of innocent people that have nothing to do with terrorism. The report gave examples of: a TIDE profile of a person whom the FBI had already cleared of any connection to terrorism, a TIDE profile of a two-year old-boy, and even a TIDE profile of Ford Motor Company..." So, we know that the NSA doesn't just find out about potential terrorists. They find information two to three hops away from suspected terrorists. That is why more folks can be investigated for analysis. Under the NSA's FISA requests, Google, Microsoft, and other Internet services companies can be compelled to hand over relevant data from their services on any account that falls within the three hop range and is flagged as belonging to a person of interest. The Internet now has a high level of interconnectedness.
Legendary NSA cryptographer and mathematician William Binney – who worked at the agency for 32 years, and who was the head of the NSA’s global digital data efforts – created a much better “two hop” system before 9/11. Called “ThinThread“, the system created by Binney (with the help of Thomas Drake, Kirk Wiebe and Ed Loomis) automatically encrypted all Americans’ communications to protect our Constitutional rights.  Information was gathered on people within two hops of suspected terrorists, and information could only be decrypted by a court order. In other words, Binney’s system created a structure in which innocent Americans couldn’t be spied on unless there was  a court order showing probable cause. Binney’s system was actually cheaper and more efficient than the NSA’s current Constitution-violating system.  We are a nation filled with unjust laws. Laws like Stand Your Ground, stop and frisk, mandatory minimum sentencing rules, voter ID laws, etc. are immoral. These laws seek to discriminate against criminalize Black Americans and all Americans. We should improve housing, education, jobs, health, etc. We ought to fight against poverty and crime. The social and economic inequalities in the world have been enforced by the police. Our civil liberties are important to advance in society.

The United States is having specific war games in Africa. The Pentagon is having a hidden agenda to make Africans fight Africans. The Pentagon is organizing war games obviously. They are doing these actions as a means to advance the war on terror and for the justification of national security. The South African media has reported on the military exercises. They are between the U.S. military and the South African National Defense Force (or SANDF). The South African and U.S. armed forces are to conduct war games in the Eastern Cape over a period of almost two weeks (24 July to August 5). The joint war games are to be coordinated by USAFRICOM’s  “US Army Africa Contingency Command." South African Captain Jaco Theunissen said that the militaries would share technical expertise during the exercise. It will involve 5,000 soldiers. "We are exercising to do a human support intervention in an unstable country,” said Theunissen. “What we simulate is what is currently happening in a lot of countries in the world, especially in the African continent. “You’ve got warring factions destabilising the country…. We are exercising the war fight, where you will fight against rebel groups.” Medical units will also give basic medical healthcare in a practice to local populations in an unstable warring environment. Some imply that the Republic of South Africa is slated to participate in US-NATO sponsored “humanitarian interventions” directed against other countries in sub-Saharan Africa, which have been tagged by Washington as “unstable nations.” That is why the war games with have the SANFR to participate with their army, air force, navy and health. Those nations called unstable by the West would be the object of a Western engineered political and economic destabilization process including the imposition of deadly IMF-World Bank economic reforms. These actions allow the West to try to recolonize sub-Saharan Africa. These July to August war games were prepared in prior exchanges in February at USAFRICOM headquarters in Vicenza, Italy between the U.S. Army Africa Contingency Command and SANDF commanders. Col. Vuka Sean Mahlasela is the 44th Parachute Regiment commander from the SANDF. He wanted to militarily cooperate with America and South Africa. “Joint and multinational operations have become the norm of the day. The national defense forces play a very significant role to be able to operate with regional, international and multinational forces to test tactics and share skills and knowledge as well as to learn from each other as multinational forces,” Mahlasela said. The agenda of such neo colonialism is still here. USAFICOM is all about trying to use the SANDF to fight proxy wars in Africa.  It is worth noting that the SANDF was recently involved in fighting rebel forces in the Central African Republic, in which 15 SANDF soldiers were killed. The SANDF is supportive of US hegemonic objectives in Africa. By collaborating with the US in joint military operations, the South African National Defense Force (SANDF) is, in some regards, playing a similar role to that of the SADF of the Apartheid period. There have been some recent war games done by the U.S. in Asia Pacific. There have been military exercises in Korea. There have been the U.S. largest joint war games in Australia back in July 18. It involved about 20,000 troops. The Pentagon called these exercises Asia Pivot on Australia's eastern seaboard. This was a signal to Chinese. Also, the West is increasing the number of American military forces in the Asia/Pacific region. The West wants to build up military alliances. The U.S. and Australia has strengthened in recent years. According to Press TV, the U.S. military is growing its presence in Australia and plans to send 2,500 Marines there on six-month rotations each year starting in 2016.

We know of the civil rights movement for a long time. We fought in slave revolts for centuries. We fought in anti-apartheid efforts in South Africa. We fought in the civil rights movement where the Deacons of Defense defended civil rights activists. We fought under the UNIA standing up for black social consciousness. We fought like men and women. The war is not won yet, which is the accurate point. Market forces are never a god to me, but economic solutions are important for the black community. I could care less if the racists respect us. They never respected us anyway. We should be concerned about our own interests. Some mistakes were made in the civil rights struggle, but to assume that we didn't fight is disrespecting the memory of Sam Sharpe, Fannie Lou Hamer, and Kwame Ture. It is in our Nature to fight for justice. Before the marching of the 1960's, a lot of innocent folks were getting lynched for no reason whatsoever. Before the marching of the 1960's, our communities were not witnessing some Utopia for our people at all. Yes, Dr. King taught us that all of us that can use nonviolent means to fight the enemy courageously. Malcolm X taught us all of us that we can use also self-defense strategies to fight the enemy courageously. Dr. King by the late 1960's came to realize that the oppression of blacks was heavily to do with the question of class not only racism. He knew that the much of the gains achieved by the civil rights movement was mostly limited to the black middle class and the rich. So, he wanted to have a radical movement to help poor human beings. “We are saying that something is wrong … with capitalism,” King said. “There must be a better distribution of wealth, and maybe America must move toward a democratic socialism.” Both men (or Dr. King and Malcolm X) agreed on much more views than what is shown by the establishment. Dr. King has a lot of domestic insight to the issues in America and Malcolm X had a lot of natural insight into the international affairs of the world (and how black people fit into the world picture. Malcolm X knew domestic affairs also including about the wolves and foxes). They each knew that we have to defeat the white supremacy, imperialist power structure via numerous means as a means to have revolutionary justice in the world. We have the same struggle, we know the same enemy, and we want the same end (which is liberation for us, justice, and independence). So, Dr. King expressed the compassionate side of our people and Malcolm X expressed the relentless strength of our people. Today, we have issues. There is a massive assault on the working class including the poor by reactionaries. Some leaders want to exploit the civil rights movement as a means to cultivate a wealthy, capitalist class being hostile to real social services (or the aspirations of all workers). The worship of the profit system still plagues us today. The imperialism of the West is definitely linked to the oppression of the poor. We have to fight bigoted institutions and form our own independent institutions to help humanity. We must not follow the acts of T.R.M. Howard in loving political passivity, but radical revolutionary action in society. We should never bow before the elephant or bow before the donkey. We need to fight against declining living standards, attacks on democratic rights, and war by using all of power.
