Ukraine Updates and other Conscious Information

The Ukraine and Russian conflict continues. The mainstream media from CNN, FOX, and to MSNBC have given a similar narrative of the situation. They present the view that it is all or mostly Putin's fault and that we should support the current puppet regime in Ukraine that came about after an US/EU sponsored coup d’état in Ukraine. The West is now allies of the fascists and anti-Semites in Ukraine. They are allies of fascism globally too. Hillary Clinton now likens Russia's response to the U.S. backed fascist putsch in the Ukraine to Hitler's quest for a Greater Germany. That is disrespecting the 25 million Russians and other Soviet nationalities that were slaughtered in the Hitler racist jihad. The same people that defeated the Nazis are now being treated as the Nazis. After WWII, the same U.S. government officials allowed thousands of Nazi war criminals to built up the nuclear/chemical/biological military juggernaut that would usher in an American Century. The Western empire confiscated Paul Robeson and W.E.B. Dubois' passports too. Washington funded fascist military regimes in Latin America and one exterminated 200,000 Guatemalan Mayans. John Kerry talked about the brave Ukrainians taking it to the streets to stand against tyranny and demand democracy. Yet, the political heirs of the Ukrainian Waffen SS units and concentration camp guard that eagerly joined Hitler's genocidal rampage in the mid-20th century are some of the leaders in Ukraine now. The Ukrainian fascists command 40 percent of the electorate in some western regions of the country. Some of them hoist the Confederate flag in Kiev's city hall. We have experienced this in America. Fascists in America promoted Jim Crow even among both parties before. The apartheid order in Dixie predates the establishment of fascist regimes in Europe and, in terms of its racial component, has more in common with the Nazi strain than Mussolini’s Italy. When the Black Freedom Movement forced a split in the national Democratic Party in the early sixties, many southern whites bolted to the Republicans. The Republicans used coded language that dealt with race as a means to gain support among some whites. Today, imperialism is shown in the scheme of supremacy, global privilege, and an ordained national mission. Some journalists are getting emotional at the truth being known. The mainstream media is an instrument of the U.S. imperial machine. CNN's Christiane Amanpour was very angry when Wolf Blitzer when he quoted a Russian official that fascists and anti-Semites are in Ukraine now, which is an accurate statement. Folks have the right to express congruently independent thinking on this issue. The reality is that the West has done war crimes and aggression including coup agitation in Iraq, Haiti, Libya, Venezuela, and Ukraine in the 21st century alone. The West is allying with NATO, Poland, Moldova, etc. as a means to isolate Russia. Paul Craig Roberts is accurate to mention that: "... The fact of the matter is that those 16,000 Russian troops have been in Crimea since the 1990s. Under the Russian-Ukrainian agreement, Russia has the right to base 25,000 troops in Crimea...Putin has been granted authority by the Russian Duma to send troops to Ukraine, but Putin has stated publicly that sending troops would be a last resort to protect Crimean Russians from invasions by the ultra-nationalist neo-Nazis who stole Washington’s coup and established themselves as the power in Kiev and western Ukraine." So, we have to reject propaganda. The Crimea Parliament are to hold a referendum in March 15. This doesn't mean that Russia is a perfect nation. We should never support every policy in Russia, but we should seek the truth.

RIP to Chokwe Lumumba. I looked at the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement website before. It has great information. Brother Lumumba was a hero who stood up for economic justice, black self-determination, and real justice for our people. His organization stood up against the extrajudicial murders of black people. He believed in reparations. He wanted economic cooperatives, which I have been researching heavily recently. I think that cooperatives are a great economic alternative that can enrich the lives of so many human beings. The Brother was a revolutionary Mayor and many of his views were hated on by reactionaries. We have to be fair and examine as much concrete facts as possible to see if the Brother was murdered or not. Also, I will listen to Minister Farrakhan's whole speech on Saviour's Day. Folks have the right to hear many voices on issues in order to witness information. Chokwe Lumumba was certainly an inspirational man. They or the enemy plan ahead years and something decades in advance. Gentrification is one tactic that they have used. Imperialism is another since our legacy as black people have always been opposition to imperialism from Malcolm X, the Black Panthers, and to Dr. King (now, some black people want to support imperialism even against Africans). So, the enemy uses strategies and we should use strategies to fight back too. One thing that the establishment hates is Strong, Intelligent, and Independent thinking black people. That is why they always tolerate black misleading spokesmen instead of true BLACK LEADERS. Very touching message from Tia Mowry too. The Sister Tia Mowry told the truth. Black men should never feel ashamed of their unique personalities or their unique gifts that they have. In other words, a black man has the right to hike, have the right to sail across the seas, have the right to build buildings, and have the right to fulfill his own pursuit of happiness. Black men have the right to be themselves and work towards excellence in their lives. Brothers also should respect the Sisters too. False, sick stereotypes are always perverted and we have every right to combat them in our daily lives. There is nothing wrong with black men being strong, intellectually gifted, and caring. Education is very important to advance and a fight against poverty too. We have to improve the social conditions of the world. The lives of black men do matter.

The people who made the video (relating to the UCLA School of Law) have every right to make their grievances known. Any human being in the university should be treated with compassion. Many of the bigoted responses to the video are sick and perverted. Hypocrites cry about affirmative action, but refuse to expose corporate welfare, refuse to talk about legacies for the rich white people, and refuse to talk about the reality of white privilege. Many affirmative action programs have nothing to do with an explicit quota process, but they use numerous factors as a means to allow qualified people to come into their university system. The hypocrites forget that not everyone in America are treated the same. There is discrimination and oppression against the poor, so you have to do revolutionary action to address these problems (without ignoring them and we should never tell people to get over it. These hypocrites will never tell Jewish people to get over the Holocaust). The reality is that we should allow qualified people to come into the university, but any university should find unique ways to develop diversity. Many poor people are highly qualified, but they can't go into a law school because of the costs. That is why I support policies that advance economic justice and racial justice. We face RACIAL and CLASS oppression. Bigotry should be condemned and we should inspire our black people to be as excellent as they can be. We suffer racism, but we use racism to fight to be better. If we do what is right, then we will win this battle. I wish the best for Gregory Davis and all of the other Brothers and the Sisters there. Some folks fail to realize that we can both fight racism/white supremacy and believe in individual responsibility (which means we condemn black on black crime and we encourage black people to be morally upright, treat human beings with respect, and follow real ethics in daily life) among us as black people at the same time. The solution is a long process, but we have to start creating policies that help the black community. Black people should both live their lives morally (and strengthen our families including our communities) and black people have the right to fight evil in the world too. Black males should be encouraged to achieve their dreams and never back down from injustice. There is nothing wrong with Black Unity either. She gave an emotional, moving speech. Lupita is a very intelligent, strong human being. Long term, it is right for us as black humanity to establish our own standards in acting and to be more independent in developing our own infrastructure. We have the capacity, the wisdom, and the insight to formulate established ways to develop more success in our communities.

This story is a tragedy about childhood adversity, but it has to be shown and known in the world. The reason is that we as a people can never solve anything without honestly understanding the severity of our issues. Childhood adversity is a very serious issue. The solution deals with a multifaceted approach. Many Brothers and Sisters are right every black man in the world should try their best to mentor or at least assist one black male child in the world. All of us who are black men never achieved any level of success without direction from others and it is our responsibility to help out our people who are suffering. The bonds of family should be improved upon and there should be more efforts to improve our families. Dysfunctional families contribute to childhood adversity. We have to tell young black boys that they are somebody and it don't matter what others say, but it does matter on what you do. I don’t care if folks call me every name under the sun, but I have the right to ignore that negativity and to keep on working to improve my life. Also, we have to work on marco solutions too. The system is filled with corruption. We have to fight economic inequality, lax educational opportunities, racism & discrimination (beyond just legitimately fighting crime, encouraging upright behavior, etc.). Subsequently, we have to promote the concept of community development. We are a community and our solutions should be community related. We have to teach humanity and make it known that there is nothing wrong with a male having social connections with other human beings. In a stereotypical context, many males are told to keep their feelings in and to have a distant, enclosed relationship with humanity. The reality is that any male has the right to present real strength, to show real honesty, to express real self-determination, to love real independent thinking, and to establish progressive social bonds with humanity too. Some Republicans are hypocrites on various issues. Some Republicans claim to follow a certain view on abortion, but reject maternity leave, some love imperialism, some are pro-war, some reject universal health care, some reject public programs to help the poor & the homeless, and some want to seek policies that harm the social safety net. Not all Republicans are monolithic. That is true. So, at the end of the day, folks should find common ground to improve the quality of life of humanity without going into the path of reaction and extremism. We are still fighting for the common good among the human race.

Throughout out time, we see that neoliberalism doesn't work. It just doesn't work. Reaganomics doesn't work either as scholars from across the political spectrum have mentioned. Austerity doesn't work to end poverty completely or radically improve the economy either as shown in Greece. Also, eliminating unfair tax breaks is not wrong, going out to end the war on terror is not wrong, there is nothing wrong with making Wall Street accountable for its actions, and believing in maintaining legitimate regulations in the world is not wrong either (as supported by the even most conservative economists). A recent study by the Chicago Federal Reserve found that raising the minimum wage to $9 an hour would increase household spending by about $48 billion the following year, amounting to a .3 percent boost to GDP. Raising the federal minimum wage to $10.10 an hour could lift about 4.6 million people out of poverty directly, according to a new study from economist Arindrajit Dube. Longer-term effects could reduce the number of people living below the poverty line by 6.8 million. Also, most folks are not asking for 20 dollars or 30 dollars an hour. Most folks want a reasonable increase of the minimum wage. People want small doses of increases, because of adjusting for inflation and increasing it reasonably doesn't negate the fact that it is increasing. It has increased for the past decades, especially in multiple states. The American people have spoken. Ironically, I just read many pages from Michelle Alexander's "The New Jim Crow" book today and this story is interesting. I don't know if Ray Jasper is innocent or guilty, but we all know about the vicious nature of the prison industrial complex. Many folks in prison and even in death row are completely innocent and many folks have been exonerated via DNA evidence and other new information. Prisons today are not equivalent to American slavery, but they are cousins without question. Abuse, mistreatment, rape, economic exploitation, etc. occurred in slavery and in the prison system. Mass incarceration have ruined the lives of black people, especially black men (who are stripped of job opportunities, voting rights, and other rights that many of us take for granted) even after they have paid their debt to society. Therefore, whether we agree with folks' innocence or not, we should deal with the marco issue at large (that issue is that we have to oppose the war on Drugs and many oppressive laws that harm the black community in huge ways. We have to confront the system of white supremacy and deal with solutions in order to counteract the mass incarceration of our people since even some non-violent drug offenders have longer sentences than rapists and assaulters. That is totally unfair). Now, we should still oppose any crime, but we should be fair when dealing with legal matters too. FAIRNESS AND JUSTICE ARE LINKED.
