We have the current political race continuing. Donald Trump has been rightfully criticized for his offensive views on abortion. He once said that women, who have abortions, should be punished when people among both parties have criticized him on that issue. Presidential candidates must express cogent judgment and real principles. Trump has shown a pattern of showing multiple views on multiple issues in the span of years and even months. Trump has in a cold way predicted riots if he is not selected as the GOP nominee. Trump is a fraud. He has supported torture, misogyny, and imperialism (in considering the use of even nuclear weapons). Trump also believes that there should be no increase of the minimum wage when workers have experienced stagnant wages for decades. He scapegoats immigrants when Wall Street capitalists are heavily responsible for infrastructure problems in America. He is silent on the poverty problem in America. Ted Cruz and John Kasich are in the race. It appears that Trump will lose Wisconsin. This may be the beginning of the end of the Donald Trump Presidential Campaign. In the Democratic side, both Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton campaign in New York. There is no question that the Bill Clinton administration accelerated the mass incarceration rate. When Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State, she blocked an increase of Haiti’s minimum wage. She laughed about Muammar Gaddafi’s extrajudicial assignation on camera. Bernie Sanders has huge supporters among the young and others. Bernie Sanders calls himself a democratic socialist and he said that if Hillary Clinton wins the Democratic nomination, he would support her. Sanders has a reformist program and his campaign has rallied many people. So, we see the paradox of Sanders not being anticapitalist, but some may see his message and transform themselves into anticapitalist conclusions. Both Democrats and Republicans are not infallible and embracing political independence is important.
There is no question that there are business connections between the Bush and Bin Laden families. Osama bin Laden’s brother was Salem. English papers had shown a photograph from 1971 that showed Osama when he was 14 and Salem when he was 19. They were in a summer holiday at the Astoria Hotel in Falun, Sweden. So, the bin Laden family is a very wealthy family. According to the Daily Mail’s Peter Allen, “…Salem went on to become a business partner of the man who is leading the hunt for his brother… In the 1970s, he and George W. Bush were founders of the Arbusto Energy oil company in Mr. Bush's home state of Texas." During the 1970’s, the Bush and bin Laden family worked together a lot. Salem was the head of the bin Laden family business by 1977. George W. Bush set up his start up oil company called Arbusto Energy, Inc. and Salem invested in Bush’s Arbusto Energy, Inc. "Arbusto" actually means "shrub" in Spanish, but the Bush family interpreted it as "bush." Salem dealt with the construction industry. Many sources have said that James R. Bath used to send money to Salem bin Laden to set up George W. Bush in the oil business according to the Wall Street Journal and other sources. Salem met with a tragedy when he died in a flying accident near San Antonio in 1988. Salem was a close friend of Saudi King Fahd. Arbusto later became Bush Exploration, when Bush's father became vice president. As the company neared financial collapse in September 1984, it was merged with Spectrum 7 Energy Corp. in an effort to stay afloat. During the 1980’s, the controversial BCCI banking institution grew as well.
The BCCI was the Bank of Credit and Commercial International. It was a crooked offshore bank that the CIA used to run guns to Hussein, finance Osama bin Laden, move money in the illegal Iran-Contra operation, and carry out other secret agency “ops.” BCCI was created in 1972 by a Pakistani banker, Agha Hasan Abedi, with the support of Sheik Zayed bin Sultan al Nahyan, ruler of Abu Dhabi and head of the United Arab Emirates. Its corporate strategy was money laundering. It became the banker for drug and arms traffickers, corrupt officials, financial fraudsters, dictators and terrorists. The CIA used BCCI Islamabad and other branches in Pakistan to funnel some of the two billion dollars that Washington sent to Osama bin Laden's Mujahadeen to help fight the Soviets in Afghanistan. It moved the cash the Pakistani military and government officials skimmed from U.S. aid to the Mujahadeen. It also moved money as required by the Saudi intelligence services. The BCCI was so corrupt that it ended in 1991. The Washington Post reported that the Carlyle Group (which supported investments globally) met at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Washington, D.C. one day before 9/11. In that meeting were former President George H. W. Bush and Shafiq bin Laden or the brother of Osama bin Laden. Shafig bin Laden is an investor. George H. W. Bush would make many speeches years ago on behalf of the Carlyle Group. No commercial planes, including chartered flights, were permitted to fly into, out of, or within the United States until Sept. 13, 2001. After the air space reopened, six chartered flights with 142 people, mostly Saudi Arabian nationals, departed from the United States between Sept. 14 and 24. One flight, the so-called bin Ladin flight, departed the United States on Sept. 20 with 26 passengers, most of them relatives of Osama Bin Laden.
The Boston Massacre was one of the major catalysts for the American Revolutionary War. The Boston Massacre happened on March 5, 1770. During this time, Boston was a strong city of pro-independence sentiment. The British in Boston and all over the colonies enforced the Townshend Acts. These acts were duties and taxes on glass, lead, paints, paper, and tea imported into the colonies. Many Americans saw these acts as an abuse of power as the American colonies had no representation in Parliament. By 1770, the duties did exist on tea. British custom officials were repelled in many cases of enforcing the Townshend Acts. On March 5, a large crowd was in Boston. Soldiers from Britain were there. Heckling exists and shots were fired. They or the British soldiers fired into the crowd, without orders, instantly killing three people and wounding others. Two more people died later of wounds sustained in the incident. Three Americans—rope maker Samuel Gray, mariner James Caldwell, and Crispus Attucks (who was of black African descent) died instantly. The British officer in charge, Capt. Thomas Preston, was arrested for manslaughter, along with eight of his men; all were later acquitted or released. In an effort to demonstrate the impartiality of colonial courts, two Patriot leaders, John Adams and Josiah Quincy, volunteered to defend Captain Preston and his men. The prosecution produced little evidence, and Preston and six of the soldiers were acquitted; two others were found guilty of manslaughter, branded on the hand, and released. The killings of March 5, promptly termed a “massacre” by Patriot leaders and commemorated in a widely circulated engraving by Paul Revere, aroused intense public protests and threats of violent retaliation. This pressure caused Lieutenant Governor Thomas Hutchinson to withdraw the troops to an island in the harbor. Paul Revere and Samuel Adams talked about the incident to promote animosity against British authorities. John Adams wrote that the "foundation of American independence was laid" on March 5, 1770, and Samuel Adams and other Patriots used annual commemorations (Massacre Day) of the event to fulminate against British rule.
Racism and discrimination should never be tolerated anywhere on this Earth. Pharmacies should be one of the progressive places on Earth, but we have a serious problem of racism in such locations unfortunately. Like usual, the civil lawsuit has every right to be executed. I hope that those who enacted discrimination in the CVS are held accountable. Lawsuits are necessary in this situation. Also, there must be structural change where anti-discrimination policies are enforced by all levels of government and programs are enacted to make sure that black people and anyone have fair employment opportunities in the medical fields or pharmacist jobs. There is no excuse for racial slurs or other bad policies to exist in any location that houses medicine. No words can describe the suffering involving this melancholy tragedy. A mother lost her life. A baby's life was saved and that is great news. It is probably many factors that lead into the unfortunate death of Sister Brianna Bailey. The hurt of breaking up is real. Also, it is important to know that life is a precious gift. It exists for us humans in less than 150 years during our time. Therefore, such a sad story reminds us that life is not only precious, but while we are here, it is important for us to promote humane treatment, compassion, and amicable social connections. We hope and we pray that the complete story is known to the family of the baby and we wish for the baby to have the necessary, adequate resources where the young child can have a fruitful, strong human existence. I send condolences to the Sister's family and friends.
