Kavanaugh, etc.
There is no question about the agenda of Brett Kavanaugh. He has publicly advanced the view of the promotion of a supremely unjust authority of the executive branch when even the Constitution cites the principle of the co-equal powers found among the 3 branches of government (as outlined by the philosopher Montesquieu). That precisely means that each branch of government has an equality of power along with checks and balances prescribed, so one branch of government doesn't have inordinate powers. Kavanaugh also endorses the sweeping surveillance of phone records. He wrote an amicus brief that said that he might not believe in the interest in a diverse student body as a justification for affirmative action. He dissented from a panel’s ruling declaring the U.S. Forest Service’s policy of random drug testing a violation of the Fourth Amendment, and voted to expand police power to search suspects during “stop-and-frisks.” On issues of civil liberties, workers' rights, human autonomy, and on other matters, Brett Kavanaugh has been on the wrong side of history. Now, with the sexual assault allegations against him, he is not fit to be the next Supreme Court justice. The Federalist Society endorses him. Today, the woman accuser is being slandered and reviled by many (especially from the far right reactionary crowd), but she has shown public courage in outlining her own story. That is why the Senate has the responsibility to delay any vote on his nomination and not confirm this person.
Her life has been filled not only with excellence, but with a motivation of giving other entertainers (including actors and actresses) advice on life lessons. She is multifaceted in her career from being part of comedy movies to having leading roles on serious TV shows. It was her Birthday yesterday and she is Jada Pinkett Smith. She is now 47 years old and she was born in Baltimore, Maryland. Her mother's side of the family has Jamaican descent. Her mother has always been her glorious inspiration. She has worked as a nurse and she has an amazing consciousness that inspires Jada in many endeavors of her life. Her grandmother is the daughter of Jamaican immigrants. When Jada Pinkett Smith was young, she played the piano, did ballet, etc. Pinkett Smith attended the Baltimore School for the Arts where she met and became close friends with her classmate, rapper Tupac Shakur. She attended the North Carolina School of the Arts and then pursued her acting career. She was on the sitcom called True Colors. I loved her role on A Different World, which is one of my favorite shows ever. She was in movies, has performed music, and is an excellent actress. She married the love of her life, Will Smith, in 1997. As a blessed mother, Jada Pinkett Smith greatly loves her family. Subsequently, she is a human being who always teaches us about consciousness and true living in the human family. Enlightening us is her specialty and her legacy will further grow as time proceeds forward. I wish Sister Jada Pinkett Smith more blessings.
She is part of a legendary group of Sisters who has impacted culture and music in the world. Her name is Sister Towanda Chloe Braxton. It was her birthday yesterday and she is now 45 years old. For years and decades, she has toured the world in expressing musical talent and she has enthusiastically cherished her family. Severn, Maryland is the place of her birth. All 4 of her sisters including herself were in one group and signed a contract in 1989. They, as a quintet, made a record together in 1990 called "Good Life." She sang with Toni Braxton when Toni's career grew massively in the 1990's. Also, Towanda is her own woman who has made great decisions involving her own life too. She can sing contralto too. A woman, a chef, an entrepreneur, and a person on a mission to bless herself and her family outline the great essence of her life story. Towanda shows us that we can be ourselves, care for people, and still enjoy the blessings bequeathed upon our lives at the same time. I wish Sister Towanda Braxton more blessings.
It is certainly important to promote a just cause which is about ending police brutality. No matter how tough things are, the truth always wins out in the end. Kaepernick did the right thing in making known of issues that people needed to hear about the priority to give black lives respect. The only thing that we want is to live without discrimination and without oppression. More black voices give more insights into the wide range of expression found in our people. The essence of racism denies the humanity of us, but we just want to be free. Freedom is not about token assimilation and it isn't about compromising our integrity to suit those in privilege. It is about an idea that we have the right to express our feelings and our thinking anyway that we choose without apology. Blackness is about an experience filled with the love of black souls without disgraceful distractions, it is about advancing a legacy from Africa as the original location of human life, and it is the promotion of the liberation of black people along with the elimination of the system of racism worldwide.
The events in North Carolina and South Carolina definitely make us aware of the importance of infrastructure investigation. For decades in America, much of our infrastructure (in terms of roads, bridges, hospitals, schools, etc.) have been crumbling. Over 680,000 people are without power and one infant died of a tragic death as a product of Florence. The common misconception is that we don't have enough money to fund infrastructure. That is false since one priority in any nation is to invest in its citizens. If the USA can spend billions of dollars to send men to the moon, then it can spend billions of dollars to help fellow Americans and their infrastructure right here on Earth. New Bern and Wilmington, North Carolina have been devastated. Many of my ancestors are from North Carolina as well. Therefore, Congress should invest in shelters, levees, and other storm infrastructure. Storms also leave a great psychological trauma among the victims of it. Therefore, it is a necessity to take care of human beings in the right way.
