The Impeachment Inquiry Report.

There is the recent release of the House Intelligence Report. Adam Schiff promoted the report as exposing Trump as being unethical who thinks that he is above the law. The report shows tons of evidence about how the person Trump used his office to solicit Ukraine in trying to find dirt on the Bidens in order for him to influence the 2020 election. The report cited evidence of obstruction and Trump's intimidation of witnesses. The whistleblower has initially shown evidence that blew the Ukraine scandal wide open. Schiff said that Trump used misconduct and used his personal plus political interests above the interests of all Americans. The House report describes Giuliani's phone calls with an Intelligence Ranking member and the White House. The impeachment report showed calls between Giuliani and Nunes, OMB, Bolton, and Parnas plus Fruman. House Democrats have said that Trump abused his power, used an obstruction of Congress, and used obstruction of justice. Today, the Republicans are desperate. The GOP impeachment report said that Trump did nothing wrong in pressing for investigations. We have to be honest about the facts. The GOP members, who support Trump, are blatantly in a cult of personality where they have unconditional support for a corrupt President. Impeachment is a legitimate inquiry. It is done by the House of Representatives. Only the Senate can remove a President from office. Trump has went out of his way to use habitual lies. He has promoted a Muslim ban. He has opposed legitimate subpoenas, tried to intimidate and lie about witnesses, and he has mocked Lisa Page in graphic terms in public. This person is never a role model for young people. His actions constitute racism, sexism, and xenophobia. There is no evidence that Ukraine meddling in the 2016 election .There is evidence of Russia doing it. Now, the House Judiciary will be a part of the impeachment inquiry.

Recently, Rosa Parks was honored with a statue in Montgomery, Alabama. Rosa Parks wasn't just a person who refused to sit in the back of the bus. She admired both Dr. King and Malcolm X. She supported self defense. She fought against the prison industrial complex. She was a member of the NAACP since the 1930's and defended the Scottsboro Boys. She supported the Selma Voting Rights movement. Her friend was Malcolm X. She visited a Black Panther school in Oakland, California. She lived to be 92. I have mentioned these things, since in recent years, many people believe in the lie that Rosa Parks wasn't a revolutionary. The truth is that she was a revolutionary who was in the front lines of the struggle before tons of people were born on this Earth. Montgomery Mayor Steven Reed, who is the first African American mayor of Montgomery, Alabama, was at the ceremony to reveal the statue.

U.S. Attorney General William Barr has disgraced his office and his himself. He actually gave a speech to the Federalist Society defending autocratic power possessed by the executive branch. He even wrote an infamous report titled The Case for More Incarceration in 1992, in which he advocated an increase in the rate of imprisonment. He was a former CIA analyst. In a speech to the Federalist Society to advance the disgraceful doctrine called originalism. Originalism means that you must follow the literally letter of the original intent of the Founders without taking into consideration evolving times or new additions to the law. Barr seems to forget history. History teaches us that the executive branch must have limited power. It is a co-equal branch of government. In other words, the executive branch ought to have equal power to the legislative and judicial branches of government (as cited in the Articles of the Constitution). That is why we have checks and balances in government in to ensure that one branch of government doesn't have too power over others. Today, we have serious legal issues. We have people (some in both parties) who promote the evils of immunity of the police, mass deportations, detention of children, extrajudicial assassinations without due process of law, the limiting of dissent, the harassment of whistleblowers, and the recent coddling of a convicted war criminal by Trump. Barr's unspeakable lies and defense of authoritarianism is shocking but not surprising.

Kid Rock recently expressed a drunken rant where he made a vulgar comment about Oprah Winfrey. Regardless of how people feel about Oprah, no black woman should be disrespected like that. Kid Rock is wrong on all fronts. Before I show what the real Kid Rock has done, it is important to make an important point. We should always defend our people if they are unfairly disrespected. In this incident, Oprah (who has actually donated millions of dollars to Spellman and other HBCUs in real life. Oprah has actually supported real black directors like Ava Duvernay, etc.) was disrespected, and Kid Rock is wrong. Kid Rock denied being racist, but that is a silly comment by him. Kid Rock supports Donald Trump (who is a racist). Also, Kid Rock defends the usage of the Confederate flag. To black people, that flag is equivalent to how Jewish people abhor the Nazi flag. The Confederate flag is a hate flag, and the Confederacy wanted to maintain slavery and racial injustice against my people. The Confederate Constitution explicitly supported slavery. Also, Kid Rock has said the N word before. It doesn't matter if he has a biracial son. Just because a person has a biracial son doesn't mean that this person Kid Rock is the representative of total virtue. Kid Rock is a notorious culture vulture that exploits hip hop for his own benefit back in the day. Now, he is rocker and country music artist. We have to embrace the real and reject those who are fake like Kid Rock.

Right now, Kamala Harris has officially ended her Presidential campaign. It's certainly shocking and sad news. She ended her campaign, because she didn't have the resources to fund her campaign. The great irony is that her views are much more progressive than the 2 recent, Presidential candidates. She has been among the most popular campaigners. The debate stage in December will change because of this. Because of Kamala's exits, the people in the December PBS debate stage will be potentially all white people. She made history in many ways. She called out Joe Biden on issues. She dealt with criminal justice controversies. She also was an important voice to condemn Trump's corruption. Kamala Harris has a brilliant intellect and is totally qualified for any political occupation. The irony is that the Democratic candidates in 2019 included the most diverse Democratic candidates in history, and then its turned into something else. It is difficult for a woman of color like Kamala Harris to win a Presidential race. Harris wasn't perfect, but Kamala Harris is not a reactionary person. Therefore, we have this field. The moderates and the neoliberals are trying to take over the Democratic Party permanently. The progressives must do their jobs in making sure that this doesn't happen.
