People have the right to be outraged. Our ancestors were brought on ships against their wills, oppressed, and brutalized for economic exploitation and social degradation for centuries via the Maafa (and slavery). Today, it is a horrendous fact that the murder of a black woman has not caused justice for a grieving family. The justice system for a long time has shown the world that it doesn't respect black human life. The grand jury gave a disgraceful indictment against one officer. An Attorney General Daniel Cameron (who is a a traitor. He is a disgrace to black Americans) trying to justify this token act shows us that all skin folk aren't kinfolk. Cameron said the lie that the officers were justified in their actions, but many witnesses said that the officers didn't knock or announce themselves. Louisville, Kentucky is a city that has been through a lot from Jim Crow apartheid to police injustice. The indicted officer (who shot a weapon in a window recklessly) is only indicted on 3 counts of wanton endangerment in the 1st degree. That's it. Jonathan Mattingly and Myles Cosgrove are not charged with any crime. Mattingly has shown recent emails that mocked legitimate civil rights probes, claimed FBI agents aren't cops, and desires the status quo. Mattingly's despicable words should shock no one. Many police officers have been lawless for centuries, and Mattingly's nonsense should always be condemned. This announcement has opened up wounds. Now, National Guard has arrived in Louisville. As black folks, we knew that a decision like this will come. We witnessed such erroneous, offensive decisions for years and decades of our lifetimes.
The prosecutor and the Attorney General in Kentucky are Trump supporters. Trump has advocated violence in many speeches, but the Attorney General hypocritically wants protesters to not be violent. Trump has sympathized with white nationalists (which even the FBI cited as a major terrorist threat in American society). Breonna Taylor was a woman who saved human lives daily in Kentucky as a compassionate nurse. She never deserved death, and the nerve of some officers to try to slander her life after her passing makes the blue wall of silence ever real. Police should never have carte blanche to do whatever they want. Officers didn't wear body cameras during the time of Taylor's passing. Now, far right militias (like the National Patriot Defense League) are in the area, but black people have disagreed with far right militias for a long time. There is a rule of law and justice for a reason. The real thugs aren't us. The real thugs are those who harm innocent black life causing tremendous pain and heartache for black families. Breonna Taylor's death was more than some tragedy. It was a murder. It's a shame that justice for her isn't realized currently.
Black Lives Matter.
Today, we know the truth. Trump has publicly not ruled out peacefully transitioning power. He continued to demonize mail in voting. He believes that voting dealing with mail in ballots relates to fraud which is a lie. Trump wants a reactionary new Supreme Court Justice. Trump wants nine justices on the court to overthrow democratically protected laws. That is why Trump wants to use contingency plans to appoint loyal electors in battleground states in order to steal the election from the popular vote. This comes after protests come in Louisville, D.C., NYC, Milwaukee, New York City, and other places of America after the wicked Breonna Taylor decision. Trump is not trying to support reason. He is using authoritarianism as his goal. That is why he used the June 1 speech to threaten to use Insurrection Act to deploy the military against domestic protests. Ruth Bader Ginsburg's body at the U.S. Capitol was the first time a woman was having a Capitol Hill ceremony celebrating her life. The rabbi at the ceremony was powerful. We should use this time to be inspired to advance social justice. American democracy is being harmed by one of the worst Presidents in history. That is why people should vote. Voting deals with school boards, Presidents, judges, DAs, Attorney Generals, etc. Voting deals with our health care, education, our environment, our housing, our resources, and our communities.
Tariq Nasheed is at it again with him being obsessive with Kamala Harris by questioning her ethnicity, her relationship life, and her political history. Tariq is the ultimate hypocrite for many reasons. He talks about Kamala's ethnicity, but his wife is a biracial woman. How can he criticize IRs that he doesn't approve of, but he has a white mother in law. He has not apologized for making music back in the day that glorified violence and the exploitation of women. Kamala never did that. Tariq is the person who said that black single mothers are not entitled to reparations which is ludicrous. Tariq Nasheed is known for his misogynoir, especially in his wicked books like the Art of Macking, The Mack Within, etc. Macking relates to exploitation, manipulation, and deceit. True people never use deceit in developing romantic relationships. Nasheed loves the FBA movement, but he is known for making derogatory comments about Afro-Caribbean people. Tariq is a known xenophobe. Years ago, he lusted after white women in Brazil, and he said that he lusts after Brooke Hogan (whose father said the n word), but he claims to be some black superhero of consciousness. Real ones know about Tariq's secrets that he does behind closed doors. Tariq Nasheed said that he wants tangibles, but even Kamala has written policies and done things that has helped the black community for a long time. One example is that Kamala Harris worked with civil rights activist Lateefah Simon to form the San Francisco Reentry Division. This program helped many young people to live better lives after paying their debts to society. The program was very successful. Kamala Harris fought against economic fraud. She has been a leader in environmental protection policies in America. Likewise, it is important to note that Kamala Harris made mistakes which I make no justifications for. I want to make that clear. Tariq has no policies to help black people involving housing, economic inequality, education, the environment, and other real issues. I don't know how any man or especially any woman supports Tariq Nasheed, because he has a known track record of disrespecting women. Nasheed doesn't even support Black Love (and Black Love is beautiful), because he constantly ignores the truth that being politically engaged by voting and refusing to use anti-black racial slurs against black people is the ultimate form of showing respect to black people. One of the biggest lies of Nasheed is him saying "Voting is useless." Doesn't this liar know that if voting is useless, why do reactionary people in the GOP funded policies to restrict voting rights in states for years? Jim Crow apartheid was about grandfather clauses and suppressing the black vote. That is why people fought for the Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act. That was created by the sacrifice of our ancestors and people voting. So, voting is very useful. That is why Tariq is an agent in my view, because he refuses to promote political activism in getting solutions accomplished. We don't need economic growth alone. We need both political and economic growth in getting real black liberation. Now, many people know the truth.
One of the most interesting finds of my ancestry was finding out that many of my distant paternal cousins live in West Virginia and Indiana. Many of them don't know a single thing about me, but I know my ancestry. To start, many of my paternal ancestors came from the Eastern Shore in Virginia. My 4th great grandfather was George Perkins I who was born in 1815. His wife was Esther Perkins. Their song was George Perkins II (1847-1932). His son was Sophonia Perkins (1870-1926).She was my first cousin. She married Sam Casey (1863-1938) and the couple lived in North Carolina. Their daughter was Nannie Rebecca Casey (1890-1943). She married Charles W. Smallwood (b. 1888). This couple moved from North Carolina into West Virginia. The couple had many children like James Bethel Smallwood (1923-1981). James was my 3rd cousin. His wife was Geneva L. Cox (1922-1995). One of their children are Deborah Zoe Smallwood (born in 1955). She was born in West Virginia and moved into South Bend, Indiana.
