Infrastructure.

The Georgia Democratic legislature  Park Cannon said that Kemp's law is totally unjust. She is correct to speak those words. The new Georgia law is the most evil voter suppression law since the days of Jim Crow. It's that egregious. Boycotts are being called on companies who support that unjust law. The MLB All Star game is being moved outside of Georgia, because of the law. I agree with President Joe Biden who described the evil law as Jim Crow on steroids. It is totally a pro-Jim Crow law. The law even bans people from giving food or water for those in line to vote. That is complete cruelty without question. The Republicans are clear on what they want. They desire total oligarchy, total bigotry, and total status quo. That is why pressure is needed to make sure that every single American has the right to vote without any exceptions. Hollywood are heavily invested in Georgia, because Georgia is home to many movie studios. Also, for Mitch McConnell to oppose Biden's infrastructure bill outlines his following the archaic view of trickled down economics instead of real progressive economic values.

The Biden infrastructure bill is a big deal. If he gets this bill passed, then that bill will be on the scale of FDR's legislation in reconstructing American society. The total cost of the plan is $2.2 trillion for 8 years being paid for by 15 years (being paid for by taxing corporations including taxpayers earning more than $400,000). President Biden gave a landmark speech in Pittsburgh advocating this goal. Building infrastructure is the hallmark of any human civilization. Being free is all about building something. You need hospitals, schools, religious places, a social safety net, airports, and other institutions invested in order to make economic growth paramount. That is just plain common sense. In America, roads need to be built, bridges need to be upgraded, many schools need modernization, the poor deserve respect including economic justice, and we have the power to do these things. Governing is hard at times. Yet, if you promote a just cause and a just result transpires, millions of Americans will definitely benefit truthfully. If this infrastructure bill is passed, it will be a game changer in American society with the growth of jobs, expansion of health, and a future being better than definitely the Trump years.

Biden is showing his $2.5 trillion infrastructure plan. He wants money to invest in jobs, roads, green infrastructure, services to help elderly Americans, services to help those with disabilities, and other plans. It's a legitimate bill that should have support among those from across the political spectrum. Yet, the same deficit hawks like Mitch McConnell, etc. oppose it, because they care more for adherence to an archaic economic philosophy (i.e. laissez faire capitalism) than adherence to economic and social justice. The Republican deficit hawks are always refuted, because it is a fact that public investment in infrastructure, education, and basic research plus development is now a lower percent of the total economy than at any time since WWII. Therefore, this bill will go through rough roads. It is important to note that the filibuster is not mentioned in the Constitution explicitly. It won't be easy for this progressive legislation to be passed by Congress, but I have faith that reasonable people will pass such a bill so our nation of America can be stronger in so many ways.

Day 4 of the trial of Chauvin had more emotional testimonies. The paramedics have described seeing George Floyd being unresponsive with the police still on him. The supervisor of Chauvin said that Chauvin should have not kept his knee on George Floyd's neck. George Floyd's girlfriend spoke on the circumstances of the incident too. Derek Chauvin is charged with 2nd degree murder, 3rd degree murder, and 2nd degree manslaughter in Floyd's death. Chauvin outlined a callous attitude towards human life. He was devoid of emotion when Floyd was pleading to him to save his life. The prosecutors gave witnesses their opportunities to speak their minds, and the defense utilized cross examination towards the witnesses too.

There are always many people who stood out because of their gift. Yesterday was the Birthday of a late legends whose gifts dealt with music including spoken word poetry. He not only expressed his eloquent prose to move crowds. He desired real social change for our people the rest of the human family. He was the godfather of modern day hip hop music, and he was the man whose albums were heavily conscious. He is the late Brother Gil Scott-Heron. He was born in Chicago. As a soul singer, jazz poet, and musician including author, he has lived a full life. Pieces of Man and Winter in America are his early 1970's albums that influenced and predicted the rise of hip hop including neo-soul. In fact, Gil Scott Heron had music that included rapping. One of his most revolutionary songs was called, The Revolution Will Not be Televised. It showed the truth that real revolutionary won't be seen by corporate control or by social media. Real revolution starts at the heart by unsung human beings who reject the status quo. He wrote music until the day of his transition. Very few men and women have his genius. Yet, the ancestors are with him now. He was an icon of the spoken word, and his words inspire us all. Many of his work are found at the National Museum of African American History and Culture NMAAHC) at Washington, D.C.

Rest in Power Brother Gil Scott Heron.
