News on the World Stage.

We live in a time where some people care more for nefarious deception than sacrosanct justice. Trump worship is part of Lindsay Graham's legacy. Graham promotes the myth that Trump is worthy of honor and respect. Trump is the person who has cursed out peaceful protesters knelling during the national anthem and regularly makes illogical statements. Liz Cheney is a conservative Republican human being. For GOP members to try to oust Cheney from Republican leaderships shows how extreme the Republican Party is. Trump cultist Ted Cruz promotes Trump and even hates federal voting rights legislation. The voting rights bill promoted by Congress must be passed. Ted Cruz promotes the lie that the bill will ruin voting. Graham said that anyone who tries to "erase" Trump will get "erased." You can interpret that nonsensical extremist comment anyway you wish. Back in the day, there were moderate Republicans like Colin Powell (before he voted for Democratic Presidential candidates) and even Jackie Robinson (before he left the Republicans in 1964, because white racists disrespected him. Jackie Robinson supported civil rights policies which is why he supported Hubert Humphrey in 1968). So, we live in interesting times, but our moral convictions remain the same.

The moderates are typical in their deceptions. Now, they claim that progressives are the enemy. The truth is the opposite. The biggest threat to societal progress is not only the far right racists who seek bigotry. These far right extremists were complicit in the attempt coup of American democracy via their January 6, 2021 riot at the U.S. Capitol. It is also the moderates who seek the status quo instead of true justice. Moderates don't like history either. The truth is that Ella Baker was a progressive, and she was so great a civil rights icon that she is the equal to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (who was another progressive). We know that Malcolm X was never a moderate as he condemned imperialism and capitalism in 1965 (as I have seen his quotes saying these words). Claudia Jones was a progressive women who promoted the Carnival and economic rights in the Caribbean including at the United Kingdom decades ago. We know that other progressives helped to promote civil rights, voting rights, environmental regulations, expansion of health care, and women's rights. So, when a moderate lies about progressives, remind them of these historical facts.

Right now, there is an escalation of tensions in the Middle East. There has been protests at the mosque in Jerusalem being one of the holiest locations of the Islamic religion. Israeli forces came to try to push protesters out, then violence has occurred in Israel and in Palestine.  Many Palestinians have been forced out of their own homes. Rockets have hit Gaza and in Israel. This conflict has existed for centuries and thousands of years in our modern time. People from both sides of this conflict are as strident as ever. The biggest irony is that Western powers could have easily solved this problem during the early 20th century. Weizman and Hussein almost had a true Middle Eastern deal representing both Palestinian rights and Jewish people's dignity. Then, the 1930's came, and we know what time it is. An Israeli life is as valuable as a Palestinian life. Also, occupation in Palestine is unsustainable, immoral, and reckless. You can't claim to love freedom and claim that occupation of another group of people is freedom. Therefore, reasonable people among all sides must end the occupation of Palestine and form real solutions to solve the Middle Eastern crisis.

Secrets are meant to be revealed. I found out many major studies showing stories about my ancestors (from Virginia state funded archaeological groups to William and Mary). I started to read these studies, and I started seeing so many of my ancestors' names, that it was incredible. So, here is some of their stories about my ancestors. Some of this information is the first time I revealed it here in this format. Long ago, back during the start of the French and Indian War, my 7th great grandmother was born. Her name was Nancy Woodson, and she lived in Southampton County, Virginia in the lands of the Nottoway Native Americans. Nancy was a Nottoway Native American human being. He married a man named Micajah Woodson, and their children were Jincy Woodson, Anny Woodson, William G. Woodson, and Winifred Woodson-Bozeman. Winifred (or Winny) Woodson-Bozeman was my 6th great grandmother born in 1791. Winny Woodson-Bozeman married Burwell Williams (who was a free born black man who lived before 1860). Their children are Mary Woodson-Williams (b. 1814), Sally Williams (b. 1822), John Williams (b. 1815), and Patsy Williams-Crocker (She was born in 1812, and she married the African American Thomas Crocker). Mary Woodson-Williams was my 5th great grandmother who married Parsons Turner (the couple were Nottoway human beings). Patsy Woodson-Williams was my 5th great grand aunt and her children with Thomas Crocker (1814-1877) were: Indiana Bozeman Crocker (1831-1896), Caroline Bozeman-Crocker (b. ca. 1831), and Martha (Patsy) Bozeman-Crocker (b. ca. 1828). These children are my 1st cousins. Their children are Betsy Woodson, Rebecaa Woodson (b. ca. 1829), and Milly Woodson-Bozeman (1830-1910).

Milly Woodson-Bozeman was my 4th great grandmother, and she married a free African American named Morefield Hurst (1827-1918). One of their many children was Susanna Field Hurst Turner Claud (1862-1949). Susanna Field Hurst Turner Claud was a matriarch of the Claud family, and she was my 3 great grandmother. Susanna cooked food, fished, farmed, and traveled to sell food to the people of Courtland, Virginia. Susanna married Rev. James Thompson Claud, and their children are Nannie, Mattie, Sarah, Addie, Arthur Boss (1891-1974), Lila, Virgie, Lilly, Alice Rosetta, Eddie, and Joshua. Arthur was my 2nd great grandfather. Later on, I came about.
