U.S. Representative Ihan Omar played recorded threats made against her. This comes after Lauren Boebert made offensive comments about her. Boebert's racist and Islamphobic remarks are abhorrent. She disrespected Andre Carson and Rashida Tlaib, who are Muslim members of the House of Representatives too. Boebert once said that Omar never had a backpack, so she was safe. Democratic leaders strongly condemned Boebert's remarks. She made the lie that Omar sympathizes with terrorists. Boebert have slandered progressives and Muslim members of Congress as part of the "jihad squad." The fascist Republican representative Majorie Taylor Greene of Georgia defended Boebert's hate speech. Greene made the lie that someone is anti-Semitic if they defend the humanity of Palestinian people. Even Republican Nancy Mace (who publicly condemned the racism and bigotry of Boebert and Greene) of South Carolina criticized Majorie Greene as going too far. Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy is a coward for not controlling the Republicans' extremism. The GOP is a fascist party, and they attempted to enact their coup on 1/6. Our democratic rights must be protected against fascism indeed.
Dr. Oz is running for the Senate as a Republican in the state of Pennsylvania. As time is going on, we know more about his political views. For years, he has promoted dubious drugs and assertions about cancer fighting foods that ended up being false. FOX News hosts him on their shows, because he is aligned with FOX News' pro-GOP views. Donald Trump once appointed him as part of his council on sports, fitness, and nutrition back in 2018. Dr. Oz has financially endorsed Republican candidates in the past too. He believes that the federal government response to the conoravirus took away freedom but living on this Earth would be better when health safety measures are enacted.
Many Republicans are silent on the recent shooting at Michigan. These are the same people who hypocritically claim to advocate the sanctity of human life, but they do nothing to fulfill that precept by promoting universal background checks or banning weapons of war in school locations. The GOP extremists view the gun as an idol to be worshiped. There is no other way to put it. The murderer at Michigan wanted to kill as many people as possible. He is a coward, and he deserves no sympathy. The sympathy should be sent to the innocent lives at the school and the victims' families who suffer unspeakable anguish. This shooting is the 28th school shooting in 2021. This is beyond some limited situation. This gun violence epidemic is a national public emergency in the United States of America. Congress is not passing any gun control legislation, because Congress is held hostage by extremists.
The omicron variant of the virus is now in California, Michigan, and Colorado. Biden said that he wants to invest in more boosters, more vaccines, and more information without lockdowns. Europe have new COVID-19 records, and omicron continues to spread in America. President Joe Biden has walked a line, because many people reject overt lockdowns in America. Some studies show that the omicron virus (with about 50 mutations) may be more infectious than the original pandemic virus. One person who had it was a large NYC amine convention at the Javits Center. That is why New York City authorities are treating this situation as it's an emergency involving omicron. We know that Trump was hiding testing positive of having the coronavirus before the Biden debate (according to Mark Meadows).
Days ago was the Birthday of Sister Golden Brooks, and she is 51 years old. San Francisco, California is the place of her birth. People know her for being part of the show called Girlfriends. Also, she was on the shows of Linc's. She was in movies like Timecode and Impostor. She studied dancing. Also, Brooks studied and taught ballet, jazz, and modern dance. At UC Berkeley, she studied literature and sociology. She majored in Media Representation of Minorities with a minor in Theater. She earned a Master's degree from Sarah Lawrence College. Rodny Theater Company was a group that she was active in. She has been on many shows from The Jamie Foxx Show to Moesha. She won the Black Reel Awards for the 2004 film Motives, co-starring Vivica a. Fox and Shemar Moore. She was on the film Beauty Shop too. Brooks worked in Yellowstone from the Paramount Network and I Am the Night on TNT. She loves her daughter and family. By 2019, she was in an episode of Black-ish with her Girlfriends co-stars Tracee Ellis Ross, Jill Marie Jones, and Persia White. We all wish more blessings for Golden Brooks.
