It is ironic that Elon Musk (the richest person in the world) wants to let one of the worst Presidents in American history back on Twitter. Trump was banned not because of censorship. Trump promoted hate speech, lies, slurs, and overt racism when he was on Twitter. That is why Donald Trump's Twitter account was banned, and Twitter is a private company. His role in the January 6th insurrection on the U.S. Capitol should cause anyone to see that Trump's legacy is filled with corruption and extremism. The Republican Party is known for taking away rights. The common myth is that them taking away rights from certain human beings doesn't deal with me. The truth is that oppression against any group of people is an attack on all of us, regardless of our background. When the GOP abuses the filibuster, harms the rights of women, invades privacy, bans legitimate anti-racism books, harms voting rights, and cries about critical race theory, it shows that they aren't in favor of the freedom of speech or the freedom of expression. They are in favor of an authoritarian, neo-fascist agenda. A conflict of interest is found in the Supreme Court when Clarence Thomas's wife, Ginni Thomas, tried to overturn the 2020 election (Clarence Thomas voted to keep White House messages secret). That is a total emergency in the Supreme Court.
There are massive strikes worldwide in their fight for economic rights and working rights in general. For example, workers in Sri Lanka are trying to fight government corruption. There are medical students joined by workers protesting at Ragama, Sri Lanka on May 9, 2002, against the attack at Galle Face. There is a nationwide curfew done by President Gotabhaya Rajapakse. Mass protests have existed across Sri Lanka to demand the resignation of the president and his government. People, in Sri Lanka, are having skyrocketing prices, power outages being lengths, and a shortage of food, fuel, and medicines. In Los Angeles, California, Los Angeles County workers voted by 98 percent to have strike action. Many medical workers have been involved in a strike for real change. 20,000 dockworkers in Los Angeles and on the West Coast, in general, want to have adequate jobs and benefits. There are protests in Santiago, Chile where workers want no repression. Many unarmed protesters were attacked in Chile too. Many journalists were shot at while reporting on demonstrations in Chile.
Russia fired hypersonic missiles in Odessa. It landed on 2 hotels and a shopping mall on Monday. These are obviously part of Russia's continued war crimes against Ukraine. On its Victory Day in Russia, Vladimir Putin lied and said that the West left him no choice but to invade Ukraine. This is silly as a peaceful resolution could have easily resolved the crisis. Yet, Putin violated the national sovereignty of Ukraine by executing an unjust invasion of the country. Still, far-right defenders of Putin and fake leftist defenders of Putin still support the Russian invasion. It's disgraceful. The EU is talking with Hungary on the Russian oil ban too. In America, the House of Representatives will consider an additional $40 billion in supplemental funding for Ukraine. I agree with investing in Ukraine, but many people in America need tons of investments too when record homelessness, poverty, and economic inequality exist nationwide in the USA. Black Americans do deserve reparations too. Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold out in the Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol, the last holdout of Ukrainian resistance in the city.
Haley Taylor Schlitz is about to be Southern Methodist University's youngest-ever law school graduate. She is only 19 years old. She was accepted into 9 different law schools in 2019. She attended SMU's Deadman School of Law in Dallas. Schlitz has been an author, public speaker, and advocate for students. She graduated from high school at the age of 13 after struggling to be acknowledged by her public school's gifted and talented program. At 16, she was the youngest graduate on record from Texas Woman's University according to her website. Taylor Schlitz is clear that she wants girls and students of color to be part of the nation's gifted and talented programs. She wanted to work on education policy issues and increase opportunities for gifted and talented girls including students of color.
Yesterday was the Birthday of Sister Aya Danioko, and she is 27 years old. She is a famous singer. One of her hit songs was Djadja. Her stage name is Aya Nakamura. She was born in Bamako, Mali. Later, his family immigrated to France. She grew up in Aulnay-sous-Bois (which is a northern Paris suburb). Her family consisted of griots, and Aya is the oldest of five siblings. Aya studied fashion at La Courneuve. Later, she worked hard to publish her music online, gaining a following with Karma and J'ai mal. Dembo Camara, her friend became her producer and manager, helped her out. She is a gorgeous black woman. Her song Brise was very popular. As one of the most important international musicians of our time, Aya has earned her first nomination at the BET Awards as Best International Act. Djadja was a platinum album worldwide too. Jolie nana was the lead single from her third studio album Aya. In 2021, Nakamura was featured in the music video for Sans Moi, a track in the Franglish's album Vibe. Degaine is her recent 2022 with Damso. She won many awards like the 2021 Apple Music Awards for Artist of the Year in France. I wish Sister Aya Danioko more Blessings.
