The Passing of Queen Elizabeth II (The End of an Era).

The news now is that Queen Elizabeth II has passed away at the age of 96 years old. Crowds of tons of people in Buckingham Palace and other places of the world mourn her passing. She died peacefully at Balmoral in Scotland. I am still shocked at the news, because she experienced health scares before. I thought that she would overcome it this time around. Now, she is remembered as a long legacy. Now, Charles becomes King Charles III. Queen Elizabeth II was a monarch for 70 years in the world with children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will have a publicly funded state funeral. Many people have sent condolences to her and her family. President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden visited the British embassy in Washington, D.C. to pay their respects and address embassy staff after Queen Elizabeth's passing. Biden said that he mourned her death. She lived during the end of the British Empire. For centuries, the British Empire including the Royals have been complicit in racism, imperialism, economic exploitation, and colonialism. These evils have no justification, and we want the world to exist in a better fashion in the future than in the past. Queen Elizabeth II was a stateswoman who met with 14 American Presidents. She also witnessed the massive decolonization of areas from the Americas, Africa, Asia, Australia, and Oceania. She saw massive political and social changes in the world atmosphere. Biden signed the condolence book for Queen Elizabeth II just after 6 pm. Many British people gave their condolences like Helen Mirren, Elton John, Patrick Stewart, etc. Flowers were laid to the gates of Balmoral Castle. Queen Elizabeth II owned lands and was part of the Church of England. For us in the States, Queen Elizabeth represented a long-lasting person who changed the cultural iconography of the 20th and 21st centuries in a great deal.

Some breaking news is that classified nuclear documents have been found in Mar-a-Lago. Trump having these documents is highly wild. Nuclear secrets found in Trump's home shouldn't be found in his home. That is why Bill Barr said that the DOJ might indict Trump because of Trump's reckless action. There is no executive privilege in terms of handling these documents after he was in office. Harvard's Laurence Tribe, and former federal prosecutor Andrew Weissmann believe that Trump should be indicted over this controversy. The Washington Post said that the documents included foreign nuclear documents. This is about the national security issues of the United States of America. The DOJ has decided to appeal the order for the Special Master to research the Mar-a-Lago warrant. The Department of Justice is fighting back against Donald Trump. The Justice Department wants the U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon to pause part of her order. The FBI seized more than 100 classified records during the August 8 search of Mar-a-Lago, according to the DOJ. Legal scholars have outlined that the home of Trump doesn't merit a retraction based on "executive privilege." The 1974 Supreme Court case of United States v. Nixon mentioned that the government's need to retrieve evidence trumps executive privilege. Donald Trump could be charged with violations of the Espionage Act because of his reckless action of even getting documents filled with American nuclear secrets in them. The DOJ told Judge Cannon that if she doesn't grant their request to suspend parts of her ruling by September 15, 2022, then they will seek the intervention of the 11th U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals.

Some breaking news is that Apple has unveiled the new iPhone 14, new Apple Watches, and AirPods. The iPhone 14 has been in the waiting for a long time now. The iPhone 14 and the 14 Plus will start at $799 and $899 respectively. The iPhone 14 Pro and the Pro Max will start at $999 and $1,099 respectively. The iPhone 14 eliminates the need for a physical SIM card and uses a digital e-SIM card. Users can store multiple e-SIMs on the same device and have multiple cellular plans and phones numbers on the same phone. This stops others from removing the physical SIM card if your iPhone is lost or stolen. Apple mentioned that all U.S. models of the iPhone will not have the SIM tray. The different colors of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro will have the colors of midnight, starlight, blue, purple, and red. Apple's new smartwatches will be the Series 8, the SE, and the Ultra. The Ultra model will have endurance training, scuba diving adventures, and triathlons. It can charge for 36 hours and can work at night, in the ocean, and in other conditions. The iPhone 14 Pro has A16 Bionic which means that it has almost16 billion transistors, which is faster than any smartphone. There is the digital island where you can interface music with Apple air pods. The camera system of iPhone Pro has a 48 MP quad pixel sensor with 4 advanced lens. The camera uses 4 trillion operations to create an advanced image. A 48 MP image shows great advancements. The phone has action mode to create movies in the phone. The cinematic mode has 4 K resolution and 24 frames per second recording. For the first time in human history, the iPhone 14 Pro has a satellite system to help with emergencies and gives people access to their locations if an emergency occurs (via its Emergency SOS system even when Wifi is unavailable).

The Russian illegal invasion of Ukraine continues. Ever since the Russian invasion, far-right extremists and hypocritical "leftists" have defended Putin's actions. Ukraine's chief nuclear inspector has said that the country is considering shutting down the Zaporizhzhia power plant. Russia and Ukraine are exchanging accusations over the shelling of the Moscow-occupied facility. Ukraine has advanced to the east of Kharkiv with recent footage which was geo located by CNN. It showed soldiers in a town that was occupied by Russian forces until recently. Ukraine wants to retake Kherson by the end of the year, according to U.S. and Ukrainian officials. Chinese leader Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin want to have a face-to-face meeting next week as China has grown its power. Russia's military is struggling. According to the UN, Russia has made civilians have obscene body searches. Therefore, America is sending billions of dollars to Ukraine to fight its war for its survival. In America, we deserve resources to build up our nation too.

Yesterday was the Birthday of the icon Sister Ruby Bridges Hall, and she is 68 years old. She is a famous civil rights activist. She was the first African American child to desegregate the all-white William Frantz Elementary School in Louisiana during the New Orleans school segregation crisis on November 14, 1960. She was born in Tylertown, Mississippi. Bridges-Hall was the eldest of five children to Abon and Lucille Bridges. Later, she loved to jump rope, softball, and climb trees. She moved to New Orleans. The NAACP inspired her family to try to desegregate a school in that city. This came after the Board v. Brown Supreme Court decision and the Little Rock Nine students integrating a high school Ruby Bridges succeeded. It was long and tough. Racists hated Ruby, and obstacles existed. Yet, she has shown the world that the right to education should never be restricted based on skin color or ethnicity. Her parents and Former United States Deputy Marshal Charles Burks praised Ruby's courage. Now, she loves her husband, Malcolm Hall, and their four sons. She worked as a travel agent for 15 years. Later, she is the chair of the Ruby Brides Foundation. This organization was formed by her in 1999 to promote tolerance, respect, and appreciation of all differences. Bridges and President Barack Obama were in the White House to view the Norman Rockwell painting on July 15, 2011. Ruby Bridges Hall earned many awards like the Presidential Citizens Medal by President Clinton on January 8, 2001, the Carter G. Woodson Book Award in 2000 for her work of Through My Eyes, etc. I wish Sister Ruby Bridges-Hall more Blessings.
