Poland has broken with its NATO allies by wanting to send fighter jets to Ukraine. Poland will transfer four of its MiG 29 fighter jets to Ukraine in a few days. The Polish President Andrzej Duda has said this. This is the first NATO nation to fulfill Kyiv’s request for advanced aircraft to counter Russian attacks. The NATO nation of Slovakia has done the same thing too. The newly declassified video of the U.S. surveillance drone being shot down in the Black Sea has caused questions. One senior U.S. official said that the video confirms the physical collision and the dumping of fuel. Russia has denied direct contact with the drone. Strong fighting continues in the city of Bakhmut as Ukraine destroyed a Russian Su-25 jet over the eastern Ukrainian city, according to a commander. The Czech Republic and Poland are united in sending fighter jets to Ukraine in dealing with humanitarian and military issues. NATO allies have agreed to send modern Western battle tanks to Ukraine. The fighter jets are more controversial because U.S. and allied officials said that these jets require massive training (and Russia has a strong anti-aircraft system that can easily shoot them down).
The Biden administration approves of a huge oil extraction project in Alaska. Many progressives and environmentalists have criticized him for it. Many far-right people want Biden to do more, even drilling more in the Arctic. Biden once said that he will not drill on more federal lands. This $8 billion oil drilling project was on Alaska’s North Slope, to be operated by ConocoPhillips. Wells will be drilled in the areas of the National Petroleum Reserve, Alaska. That is federal land which is the largest area of undeveloped wilderness remaining in the United States. Some of the people who don't approve the project are the local Alaska Native American community. Rosemary Ahtuangaruak, mayor of Nuiqsut, the village closest to the drilling sites, in a letter to Interior Secretary Deb Haaland, pointed to the impact of the project on traditional hunting and fishing activities, and declared, “We are at ground zero for the industrialization of the Arctic.” Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski and Democratic House Representative Mary Peltola approved of the drilling Willow project. Willow will not produce any oil for at least 6 years, according to a study from the Center for American Progress (which opposes Willow). Corporate power from ConocoPhillips and others desire this plan.
What can you expect from Charleston White. For a long time, I warned people about his anti-black self-hatred, his misogyny, his advocacy for extremism, his mocking of the poor, and his anti-Asian hate. Recently, White went on a massive anti-Asian hate rant so graphic that I can’t mention it here. He or White also disrespected a black man’s young daughter (the black man is Math Hoffa) and disrespected Dr. King, Malcolm X, California, New York, DMX, and other human beings. So, White is a reactionary, Trump supporter, sellout, and baiter who seeks to provoke people into anger in trying to get an edge argument-wise. The truth is that his arguments are silly. White is wrong to use vulgar, offensive words in trying to get change. He is wrong to trivialize human suffering for profit. Therefore, I always mentioned that Charleston White should be boycotted.
Many people are expecting a possible indictment against Donald Trump. Michael Cohen gave his testimony to authorities involved in the Stormy Daniels investigation. Trump is being investigated in New York, Georgia, and by the Justice Department (over January 6th) too. The Manhattan district attorney's office has to decide whether to indict Trump. There is evidence of payment to Stormy Daniels that Trump's attorney Joe Tacopina has tried to explain away. Yet, we know of Trump's habitual lying on many issues, his hatred of subpoenas, and his disregard for the rule of law. Trump is being accused by some of doing a hush-money scheme. Cohen said that Trump needs to be held accountable for his deeds. Cohen called Trump a liar, a racist, and a deceiver. He is right. He testified for many hours on Wednesday. His attorney is Lanny Davis. Cohen facilitated the hush money scheme payments, which were made days before the 2016 Presidential election. He was reimbursed by the Trump organization for advancing the money to Daniels. Joe Tacopina told CNN that Trump won't appear before the grand jury. Typically, an innocent person would go to a grand jury. Trump has something to hide in my view. Daniels met with prosecutors with the Manhattan district attorney's office on Wednesday too.
There are a lot of stories of my late 3rd cousin Lula Viola Claud Worrell. One thing is true is that she was a great human being who lived from November 10th, 1937, to September 18, 2013. She lived in Richmond, Virginia and in Fresh Meadows, New York. Her parents were Guy Franklin Claud Sr. (1896-1966) and Viola Bell Rogers (1896-1971). Lula Claud Worrell lived a long life of compassion and faith. She was called "Mistess," and she was from Southampton County, Virginia where my maternal ancestors came from. She had three children who are Viola Worrell (b. 1956), James Sylvester Worrell (b. 1957), and Joseph A. Worrell (b. 1958). Joseph Avester Worrell had many children who are Anietra Renee Worrell (b. 1977, whose mother is Christina White), Chauntice Viola Worrell (b. 1979, whose mother is Christina White), Jamael Alpha Avester Worrell (b. 1988), Jermaine Elijah Worell, Naomi Worrell, Taneisha Reid (whose mother is Selena V. Reid-Worrell), SephJuan Worrell, Jacob Worrell, Joshua Worrell, and Jonathan Worrell (whose mother is Selena V. Reid-Worrell). Many of the Claud family via the Great Migration traveled to New York state, Philadelphia, New Jersey, and other locations in the United States of America. Lula Claud Worrell had at least 14 grandchildren. She had many brothers and sisters (who are Doris Virginia Claud Moody, Dasie Claud, Naomi Claud, Mildred Claud, Oliver Theodore Claud, Guy Claud Jr., Frank Claude, Sudie Odell Claud, Lilla Lorraine Claud Hayes, Beady Gabrilla Claud, Obadiah Claud, Webster Marie Laud, Israel Claud, and James Emanuel Claud). On Ancestry.com, Anietra Renee Worrell's name came up being mentioned as being related to me genetically. Therefore, I'm a descendant of the Claud family via Zilphy Claud. I know my kinfolks as we have a culture in our family to discover family history on the paternal and maternal sides of my family.
