Witnesses for E. Jean Carroll corroborate her story in the trial. This is a civil trial, so a financial verdict can exist. Carroll said that Donald Trump raped her in a department store. A friend of E. Jean Carroll said that Carroll was raped. Carroll has been through tons of pain, even by the defense attorney telling her bizarre and offensive pro-Trump talking points. Rape doesn't discriminate. It's not about age, financial status, sex, or color. Rape is about violence, control, obscene actions, and causing immense pain to victims worldwide. That is why we believe in the Golden Rule. We treat people like we want to be treated. Trump on tape admitted that he wants to touch women in their personal areas without their permission. We know about Trump's disgusting character from him glorifying January 6th insurrectionist terrorists to his habitual lying. Birnbach is a witness who said that Carroll had trouble breathing after her assault. Therefore, anyone who supports Trump is a person that I don't respect. E. Jean Carroll has shown tons of bravery in telling her story to the people in a trial. The jury will decide on the verdict.
It's not complicated to see the truth about gun violence. Gun violence is beyond just mental health issues as the majority of people with mental health situations aren't murderers. It's about a society that glorifies guns more than the protection of human life. It's about how people can have an easier time buying a gun than voting or buying a car. When Connecticut passed gun control legislation, its gun violence rates went down. In states with a huge level of gun laws without restraint, there is a high gun crime rate which is found in heavily Republican-controlled areas. The recent murder of kids and grown adults in Texas by a coward represents the need for gun regulations. Texas Governor Greg Abbott, in his usual fashion, exploited immigration issues in a cruel fashion. The truth is that it doesn't matter what their immigration status is as human compassion is what we advocate. The murderer should be caught, and the murderer was recently caught. We have many states who have passed reasonable gun regulations after protesters and activists have stood up for justice. It is wrong for some to have a concern more for guns than the lives of human beings. Yet, this is the unfortunate reality that we live in today.
Film and TV writers in America went on strike on Tuesday to protest lax wages. This strike involves bout 11,500 film and TV writers on both the West and East coasts. The Writers Guild of America (WGA) and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) have not reached an agreement for a new deal. Writers want a fair wage in the face of record-high inflation. People want legitimate working conditions and job security. Now, many shows and movies are put on hiatus, even the show Abbott Elementary. That is why working-class human beings are fighting for their human and economic rights globally in France, in the UK, in America, in Germany, and in Sri Lanka (where human beings have used mass protests against IMF austerity).
Days ago, was the Birthday of Sister Tina Campbell, and she is 49 years old. She has been part of the gospel group of Mary Mary for years. Also, she has established her own solo career too. She was born in Inglewood, California. Her parents were well-known spiritual people. Her father was a pastor, and her mother came from Stamford, Connecticut. She loves her siblings too. Her music career started in 1998 with her older sister Erica Campbell, who make up Mary Mary. Mary Mary took gospel music to the next level with a mixture of R&B flavor too. One of her solo records in 2008 was Don't Waste Your Time. That was the soundtrack to the independent film A Good Man is Hard to Find. Her first studio solo album was It's Personal. She loves her husband, Teddy Campbell. Her family lives in Los Angeles California with their five children. Her 2nd album was It's Still Personal. For years, she has inspired many human beings with her voice and spiritual walk. Tina Campbell has worked extremely hard to spread gospel music in an exceptional fashion to millions and millions of people worldwide. I wish Sister Tina Campbell more Blessings.
The recent Dear Mama documentary of 2023 has been released on FX. I saw the first three episodes, and it's easily the greatest Tupac Shakur documentary since Tupac Resurrection (it was released in 2003, twenty years ago). The Hughes Brothers directed the documentary. I had suspicions that the documentary might be biased because Tupac and the Hughes Brothers didn't get along. Yet, the episodes are fair, outline many views, and many of Tupac's friends and relatives speak about Tupac and Afeni Shakur's life. One of the most interesting facts in the documentary is about how the NYPD informant Eugene Roberts (who was an agent near Malcolm X back in 1965) was also in the Black Panthers as an informant. Tupac Shakur was born from a revolutionary Afeni Shakur who overcame drug addiction to be a shining example of human resiliency. Tupac Shakur is easily the most influential hip-hop artist of all time with his trials, tribulations, and joy. The documentary shows a great scene where Afeni Shakur defended herself in a trial called the Panther 21. She and other Black Panthers in New York City were falsely accused of being involved in a conspiracy to blow up buildings in NYC. Afeni Shakur defended herself and won the case which outlines the strength or power of the mind of a black woman. The Dear Mama Tupac/Afeni Shakur documentary is completely excellent.
