This incredible journey involving studying my genealogical family tree has been audacious and sagacious. For the past few years, my consciousness has grown about many important topics about the Universe from atoms to architecture. Yet, I have understood so many poignant contents about my humanity. This situation (of me gathering the facts of my people) comes from my ancestors who always had a love for studying their past heritage. I did an investigation into my past in 2015, 2016, and in 2017 and found little understanding about my family lineage beyond my great grandparents. That would undoubtedly change in 2018. By 2018, I discovered truths about my ancestors in another level via Ancestry.com, 23andMe, and other sources. Now, in this year, I can trace my lineage back into the 1700's. From communicating to distant cousins online to identifying more details about Southampton County, Virginia (where my maternal ancestors like Susanna Field-Hurst Turner, Morefield Hurst-Turner, etc. existed. Their names are found also in mainstream, professional studies) and Cape Charles, Virginia (where many of my paternal relatives are from), it's a humbling experience to witness history on a personal level involving your own identity. Learning about DNA, maternal and paternal haplogroups, ribosomes, chromosomes, and other genetic components of life has always been a blessing. The reality of the unique genetic parts of DNA proves our gifts and our marvelous, distinctive wonder found in humanity greatly (i.e. there is a relationship between DNA and RNA. Not to mention that the proteins in our body contribute to our genotypes and phenotypes). Therefore, the inspirational research into my own history (both genealogical and genetic as most of my DNA is from Western and Central Africa) will always be a cherished part of my life forever and ever.
Trump's coup against America didn't stop in 2021. Trump has smeared judges, bashed prosecutors, intimidated potential witnesses plus jurors, and has an anti-democratic mentality. DeSantis regressed more and more by saying that he wanted to "slit the throats" of federal employees. That is reprehensible and extremist. Any other person saying that in public would be investigated immediately by the federal government. In my state of Virginia on November 7, 2023, there are important elections that will determine my state's legislature. There are many candidates running for office. Commercials are abundant about various candidates who are running for office. Hopefully, a more progressive Virginia state government will exist. Yet, we have to vote. Voting is very important and deals with saving our lives literally. The MAGA cult is horrendous. We have to be clear to oppose anti-Semitism and anti-Muslim hatred as we have an epidemic of both evils in modern-day society. There are cases dealing with banning Trump from being on the ballot in Minnesota and Colorado because there is the insurrection clause of the 14th Amendment. We have to expose slick deceptions like No Labels too. No Labels is secretly funded by far-right donors to try to promote moderates who will try to put Donald Trump back in the White House regardless of what they say.
The Israeli bombing of the Jabaliya refugee camp represents a new era of this tragic war between Israel and Hamas. This happened on Tuesday. Many people tried to justify the attack by saying that Hamas uses civilians as human shields. Yet, it is better not to target a civilian location in the first place when a refugee camp has tons of people who have nothing to do with Hamas trying to survive. This is why no nation on Earth is immune from critique. The bombs damaged the Jabaliya neighborhood. Dozens of people have died in this bombing alone. The IDF or the Israeli Defense Force bombed the Jabaliya camp again. More Americans have evacuated from Gaza. Even President Biden said that Israel must use periodic pauses in their bombing campaign. I know the truth and you know the truth. Let's spell it out. Hamas kidnapping raping, killing, and harming Innocent Israeli is wrong. Also, the massive killings and occupation of Palestinian people are wrong. Former Information Minister of the Israeli government, Galit Distel-Atbaryan wanted all Gaza to be erased. This is hate speech, not justice. We must oppose the war crimes of restricting electricity, food, water, and other supplies in Gaza. We desire all Israeli hostages to go back to Israel. There must be a total humanitarian ceasefire period.
On Wednesday, Donald Trump Jr. testified in the fraud trial case. He is Donald Trump Sr's eldest son. He said that he was not involved in the preparation of his father's financial statements at any point in time, including after his father became President in 2017. He was appointed trustee on Donald Trump's revocable trust. Donald Trump Jr. testified for 90 minutes in the civil fraud trial against the family and their business. Donald Trump Jr. said that the accountants worked on various financial statements. Trump attacked the judge on social media. His son joked with the judge about the pace of his answers. Trump Jr. is named as a defendant in the $250 million lawsuit brought by the New York attorney general's office against Donald Trump Sr., his company, and several executives, including three of his adult children. Donald Trump Jr. testified that he relied on the accounting and legal departments at Trump Organization when he signed the paperwork.
There is massive Christian persecution worldwide that many people either don't know about or ignore intentionally. In India, many mobs have destroyed 300 churches in India. According to tradition, the apostle Thomas traveled to India. This is going on in a remote part of northeast India. The BJP party has made lax comments about this in India. In Manipur, India, many Christian women have been raped. This isn't representative of every follower of Hinduism, but it is done by radical people who have religious bigotry against Christian human beings in India. In China, crackdowns on independent Christian churches continue, even in 2023. Many people have mentioned that the government of China has promoted Bible Burnings, surveillance of Christians, and other tactics of harassment. In Nigeria and Vietnam, there is persecution of Christians too. We are not silent. Religious persecution of any form is wrong period. We are in solidarity with those who promote their religious liberty right and their freedom of conscience.
