Trump calling the January 6th terrorists in jail as hostages is inappropriate and evil. The January 6th terrorists, on January 6th, 2021, destroyed property, assaulted police officers, and use weapons against people. These terrorists wanted to hang former Vice President Mike Pence after being agitated by Trump in his reactionary speech. These insurrectionists waved Confederate and Neo-Nazis flags in the U.S. Capitol for the first time in American history. Tons of people are in jail for illegal actions, and Trump glorify these terrorists because is an authoritarian threat to democracy. We live in a time when there is a new wave of far-right fascism found in Orban, Trump, the leader in Argentina, and other places of the world. These people promote policies against religious and social minorities. They love corporate exploitation, they hate the concept of human equality, and they desire to dominate the world. So, we have to stand up for our rights vigorously, vote, and stand up for justice for all.
Robert Hur gave his testimony to Congress about Biden usage of classified documents. He is a former special counsel. He wanted to explain his investigation into President Joe Biden's handling of classified documents that led to President Biden being not charged with any crime. Hur called Biden as a well-meaning elderly man with poor memory which is unprofessional in a criminal report. Hur defended his investigation. He outlined a legal case about the situation. Republicans attacked Hur as not desiring to prosecute Biden, and Democrats attack Biden on his characterizations of Biden. The Democrats wants the focus on Donald Trump's criminality. Hur said that he won't exonerate Biden, but he won't call him senile either. The transcript proved that Biden did recall the death of his son's death despite the Special Counsel's claim that Biden didn't remember the date of his son's death. Hur didn't want to recommend criminal charges against Biden. Also, Trump is charged with mishandling documents by intentionally preventing documents to return to the government and only with pressure did Trump return some of the documents. Trump is accused of allowing people to destroy documents and obstructing justice.
President Joe Biden said that he is opposed to cuts to Social Security and Medicare. Some Republican extremists even want to raise the retirement age for Medicare. Many of us are blessed to qualify for Social Security because we worked hard for over 10 years meriting enough credit for Social Security benefits. We earn these benefits by hard work, not a free ride. Now, President Biden is more energetic to release ads, raising money, and being active to show his message. The cabinet members are out there representing their views too. Meanwhile, Trump promotes overt bigotry, revenge, retribution, and a sense of fascism that we all must reject. The infrastructure growth in America now is miraculous. Still, we have a long way to go, but we are much better now than four years ago with Trump as President.
The Middle East crisis continues. Many things can be true at the same time. There should be a ceasefire and the Israeli hostages should be freed immediately. There are negotiations happening constantly. Also, Netanyahu is unyielding in his far-right extremism. When even President Biden says that Netanyahu should not invaded Rafah in Gaza when over 1 million Palestinians live in the area of Southern Gaza. These events represent a turning point in our history as human beings. The Netanyahu regime in Israel and Hamas merit legitimate criticism. When innocent Israelis were attacked by Hamas, the Netanyahu did nothing for hours will Israeli men, women, and children were murdered, kidnapped, raped, assaulted, and mutilated harshly. Therefore, real justice is about fairness for all in the region.
Many people talk about Ozempic. What is the truth? Ozempic was originally prescribed for people who have diabetes. In our time in 2024, more people are using it for cosmetic purposes in losing weight. My view is that people have the right to use it to lose weight if they desire, but there is another point to be made. There is no substitute for eating healthy and exercising plus adequate sleep in promoting a full, enriching health culture. Ozempic shouldn't be used as an idol to solve all health problems. There is greatness in people who become healthier physically by hard work and determination. Those acts are truly inspirational.
