The End of the Week Updates.

Elon Musk and Ramaswamy met with Congressional leaders to promote cutting government programs and firing federal jobs. That will cause pain and suffering to thousands of Americans. They promote this nonsense because they believe in the archaic myth of laissez-faire capitalism. They promote the DOGE agenda. This is nothing more than Reaganism on steroids. We have seen this playbook before. The Trump supporters hypocritically claim to be the working class, but they desire to cut the social safety net in a radical way that will harm the working class and poor Americans the most. Elon Musk is the richest person on Earth, and he wants contracts to be favorable to him and his interests. Musk has a massive influence on the Trump orbit. Trump wants massive billionaires to dictate policies toward working-class Americans. Only deluded people and hypocrites think that a habitual liar, convicted felon, Wall Street agent, and liable for rape person can promote economic justice for all Americans.

Many pundits and haters want us to move further to the right to win battles. That is the wrong idea because freedom for all people means that. All people on this Earth deserve equality and justice without compromise. We won't use derogatory language against minority groups for the sake of appealing to MAGA cultists who want to slur those who disagree with them. We should focus on fighting economic inequality and ensuring that human justice is spread among every human being.

That means that we are opposed to massive tax cuts for the super-wealthy, we must have trade deals that benefit the workers, reject the deregulation of the banking system, refuse to support Big Money dominating campaigns, and support investments (in clean energy, microprocessors, manufacturing, agriculture, etc.). These policies are opposed by Trump and his acolytes. Trump's tariffs will increase the prices of goods, and his tax cuts for the rich will increase the deficit and cut the power of unions. We reject corporate welfare and allow people to be paid fairly. This economic situation of massive economic inequality is not because of women, black people, sexual minorities, and immigrants. It is because of large wealthy interests promoting the status quo. This reality can change.

Some good news is that a Wisconsin judge struck down former Governor Scott Walker's Act 10 law this week. This action will restore public workers' collective bargaining rights. This should inspire more people to defend workers' rights. Also, we know that monied interests dominate the Trump cabinet. Trump wants another billionaire to join his administration. He is offering private equity executive Stephen Feinberg the job of deputy defense secretary. His firm has investments in defense companies with huge Pentagon contracts. This is a conflict of interest. Trump's wealthy cabinet nominees and transition officials are worth a combined $313 billion. That is 616X higher than the mean wealth of the typical American household. We know how RFK Jr., Pete Hegseth, Kash Patel, and Tulsi Gabbard represent the reactionary agenda of Donald Trump. Dissent is paramount against authoritarianism and fascism.

Pete Hegseth said he is not dropping out of the race to be Trump's defense secretary. His future has been in jeopardy because of multiple scandals. He believes in the illogical view that women shouldn't be allowed in military combat when women Air Force pilots, Army members, Navy members, etc. have been in the Armed Forces for decades and centuries. He has been accused of rape, and his mother wrote a note condemning him (until she apologized). Hegseth is a former FOX News host, so Trump's propaganda network has been FOX News for years. Hegseth has multiple misconduct allegations like the sexual assault allegation from 2017. Once again, Trump supports unqualified, controversial, and reactionary people, because Trump is an authoritarian person. Trump supporters are representative of Trump and his illogical views.
