Now, we have two narcissistic, insecure males (who are Donald Trump and Elon Musk) who have an actual falling out. They are arguing with it other on the GOP budget bill and other issues. Musk said that Trump would have lost the election (and lost the House) without his help. Musk opposes the GOP bill, because he feels like it doesn't cut services far enough. Donald Trump said that he is disappointed in Musk. Musk hypocritically talks about the deficit and debt, but the Trump administration has been given millions of dollars from Musk. Also, the Trump administration has given financial support for Telsa. Ever since Citizens United was supported by the Supreme Court, billionaires have completely taken over politics and try to ruin our democracy as we know it. Musk gave over $290 million into the 2024 election to get Trump and other Republicans elected. We have broken campaign finance laws, and Trump has broken many promises to his supporters. The Republican tax bill has a $164 billion tax break for corporations who invest offshore. That is wrong too.
Elon Musk said that Trump is in the Epstein files escalating this new public feud between Trump and Musk. Also, Trump's attack on immigrants is very real. It is part of hatred and overt bigotry. Steve Bannon said that he wants Musk deported, and Trump is threatened to withdrawal federal government from Musk's projects. Trump's fascist regime is the most xenophobic Presidency in over 100 years. Every day, we have heavily armed, militarized, and masked immigration agents who target workers, students, parents, and longtime residents in America (on many occasions, without due process of law). This mass deportation agenda has been condemned by lower courts and by the Supreme Court too. In the first 100 days of Trump's 2nd term, ICE has been reported to have deported over 65,000 human beings. Nearly 49,000 individuals were in immigration detention centers. Trump and his allies promote the lie that there is an invasion of America by migrants when all people should have due process of law. People are protesting this injustice too nationwide from urban to rural areas.
Trump has a new travel ban on 12 countries and partial restrictions for 7 other nations. I remember the 2017 travel ban where people nationwide have protested in Chicago, New York City, and in other places of America. This took place on January 2017. Today, we have a new travel ban with a more vicious travel ban. Xenophobia is not just embraced by Trump, but it has been supported by tons of Americans (including many Americans who harbor this form of bigotry behind closed doors). Trump is a hypocrite by not making nations have a travel ban with a financial interest to him. These bans harm innocent people who have nothing to do with terrorism. It has to do with them being a different skin color or being a different nationality. Trump has lied and claimed that he is doing this because of security risks. There are tons of ways to protect U.S. national security without a travel ban. To protect America is to use the law does not circumvent the law for tyrannical reasons.
The GOP budget bill is bad. If Musk and his allies are concerned about the national debt involving the Trump bill, why don't they advocate cutting $664 billion in tax breaks for the one percent (involving tax expenditures like preferential rates on capital gains and dividends), the $420 billion in tax breaks for large profitable corporations, and the $150 billion in increased military spending. They don't advocate for that, because many of them advocate massive cuts to programs that help the poor, the working class, and the middle class Americans. The lie from conservatives is that the super rich alone can create jobs. The truth is that super wealthy corporations have record profits, but we still have high inflation, high grocery prices, and economic disruption. That is not massively creating jobs, but many Democratic Presidents for decades have made massive job growth because of progressive economic policies. Also, middle class people, working class people, and poor people do create jobs by forming businesses, grow consumer spending, and by investing in their futures. Trickle-down economics never works as tons of mainstream economic studies have documented.
While, we have distractions in the world, the Republicans are trying to take away health care from 16 million people to pay for tax cuts for billionaires. Trump and Musk caused millions of Americans to lose crucial public services. Trump and DOGE have cut many services of government programs that people need. DOGE has freeze spending on FDA slowing testing food products and fired many agricultural workers. This will increase the risk of poisons in our food supplies that the sellout Robert Kennedy Jr. has not talked about in public. Without workers at the USDA, food can be rotten. Food banks are doing their best to help people. DOGE cut billions from the USDA to help feed people. DOGE has cut services from NOAA that helps to warn people about weather disasters. FEMA has been cut too. DOGE is making it harder to travel by cutting jobs from the National Park Service causing longer rate time and take a longer time to clean parks. DOGE cut 10 percent of workers from the NHTSA and the National Aviation Administration. The CFRB has been attacked by Trump and DOGE. We have extremists, traitors, and fascists controlling our American government now.
