The End of the Week News.

There is the Trump attack on a small vessel in the southern Caribbean on the pretext that it was carrying drugs and alleged members of the Venezuaelan Tren De Aragua gang. Such actions are illegal, against international law, and shows the fruit of U.S. imperialism being wrong. The White House and the Pentagon said that it killed 11 people in the strike. This usage of illegal mass murder is being used to promote imperialistic interests overseas and justify forming a dictatorship in America. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said that he got assets in the air, water, ships, etc. He doesn't want to stop with this strike. Now, there is the deployment of a growing U.S. naval flotilla off the Venezuelan coast, including at least 8 warships, aircraft, and 5,000 sailors and Marines. Trump believes that the whole Venezuelan government is a narco-terrorist cartel wanting a bounty of President Nicolas Maduro for $50 million. Maduro doesn't control Tren de Aragua. The U.S. government has been complicit for decades in supporting military invasions, coups, and funded fascist military dictatorships in Caribbean and Latin America explicitly. Trump wants to instigate conflict in Venezuela to make the nation a puppet client state and gain its mineral and oil resources. Venezuela has the largest oil reserves in the world. This comes after the federal appeals court rejected Trump's attempt to use the Alien Enemies Act to deport Venezuelan migrants.

The vast majority of Democrats, Republicans, and independents want the Epstein files to be revealed to the public. Some of the Epstein victims will release the names of the people involved in their abuse. Many Democrats and Republicans have said that they will support the victims and any name released that was involved in abuse will be spoken in Congressional chambers. There is not an excuse for abuse of any kind. The victims are victims of sick people who wanted to exploit human beings for sick purposes. The perpetrators of abuse are not just poor of middle class people. Many of them are some of the richest, most powerful people on Earth.

Robert Kennedy Jr. faced strident questions and overt opposition by many members of Congress, even by some Democrats. The issue is Robert Kennedy Jr. is that he uses anti-scientific rhetoric in claiming to be "independent" or "cutting edge." Yet, his activities only put to risk the lives of men, women, and children. The Senators in Congress asked Robert Kennedy Jr. poignant questions about the CDC, vaccines, and other important scientific issues. Democratic Senator Maria Cantwell of Washington state called Kennedy Jr. a "charlatan" and Senator Mark Warner of Virginia said that his approach to vaccines was a "giant step backward." Some Republicans hated a testy exchange with Robert Kennedy Jr. like Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana and John Barrasso of Wyoming. Robert Kennedy Jr. said that he doesn't know how many Americans have died from COVID-19. That's rich, because the Department of Human Health Services leader should know that fact. Over million Americans have died from the pandemic. Senator Michael Bennett of Colorado said that Kennedy was wrong to dismiss his independent vaccine advisory panel to the CDC and replace them with Trump acolytes. Like usual, the White House has praised Robert Kennedy Jr.'s performance.

Epstein survivors have met on Capitol Hill to demand justice and transparency. Trump made the insensitive remark that the Epstein issue is a hoax. It's not a hoax. Epstein and his girlfriend Maxwell were explicitly involved against people in a sex trafficking ring. This is one of the few times when people from across the political spectrum (including Republicans and Democrats) have united to oppose the abuse of innocent human beings. The Epstein survivors want action on Capitol Hill. Many Republicans and Democrats have backed a bill to compel the release of the case records in full. Meanwhile, Speaker Mike Johnson maintained his opposition to the discharge petition from Rep. Thomas Massie that would compel the release of the Epstein files despite pleas from survivors at a press conference on Capitol Hill to do so. Trump continues to follow the agenda found in Accelerationism, Project 2025, etc. by using National Guard troops in American cities without just cause, allowing ICE agents to deport human beings without due process (which is against national and international law), desires to ban the 14th Amendment's birthright citizenship component, and trying to defund universities for political views. While Russian forces go into NATO airspace and Putin kidnaps Ukrainian babies and children, Trump's team has coddled the child kidnapper Ghislaine Maxwell.

Some bad news is that Missouri will start a special session on redistricting. This could divide up Missouri and cause less political power for black residents who live in Kansas City and St. Louis (who urban areas who bring a lot of economic growth in the state). More people would be aware of this. The only solutions are lawsuits and people voting people out who endorse the GOP redistricting plan. This comes after Texas started its redistricting plan just before the midterm elections. This also comes after the Voting Rights Act is under threat to being completely gone. Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act has already been gone by the Supreme Court back in 2015.
