Voting Rights.

One of the most terrible Supreme Court decisions existed on April 29, 2026. The Supreme Court made an indefensible order. In a landmark Supreme Court case (in a 6-3 decision), the Court tossed out Louisiana long contested Congressional map. The Court said that it was an unconstitutional gerrymandering. This result from a mostly far right court could impact future elections, including the midterm elections of 2026. The decision will make it harder for plaintiffs to challenge future maps in opposing racial discrimination that will undermine a key part of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 (in Section 2). These same Justices also seem to be open to support Trump's plan to end the TPS system that could potentially cause millions of legal foreign nationals to be deported (who came from countries experiencing wars and natural disasters). The xenophobic plan from Trump would end TPS for Haitan and Syrian immigrants. The Supreme Court's narrow decision that gutted the Voting Rights Act weakens that act again. The decision struck down Louisiana's 2nd majority black congressional district. Now, the GOP can try to eliminate many more legally established majority black districts (and brown ones too) while stopping those who challenge anti-black racist maps in court. It's a shame that our parents and grandparents have more voting rights protections than us now in 2026 indeed. We will continue to stand up and speak up in favor of voting rights.

There is a paradox of Charles III in Washington. It comes as the Monarch Charles III came to speech in Congress in 2026, the Trump's regime's actions are repudiation of the concept of opposition to the agenda of monarchy and oligarchy. Charles is the great-great-great-great-great-grandson of King George III, who was against the American Revolution. Charles had received full ceremonial honors by the ruling class and the two major political parties of America. The White House shown the offensive tweet of "TWO KINGS" to signify how the White House feels in favor of oligarchy. Charles is the only the 2nd British Monarch to ever address a joint session of Congress. King Charles and Queen Camilla were honored at a white tie banquet in the White House State Dining Room with a guest filled with oligarchs and the low key monarch in America form Paramount CEO David Ellison to Apple's Tim Cook. The American Revolution banned the titles of nobility as found in Article I, Sections 9 and 10. That means your birth doesn't make you confer authority on the masses unjustly. You being born means you should have equal rights to all irrespective of wealth. The paradox is now in 2026, an authoritarian in the White House is violating the Bill of Rights on many issues and we have legitimate grievances against his policies similar to the grievances listed in the Declaration of Independence against King George III. From Lexington and Concord in 1775 to our time in 2026, we must be steadfast to oppose tyranny in peaceful means.

The events in 2026 have been unparalleled in human history. By January 2026, the United States launched a military raid in Venezuela. Later, Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro was captured and sent to New York City to be charged with many crimes. The January 7th killing of Renee Good, a 37-year-old woman by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer (in Minneapolis, Minnesota) caused outrage including massive anti-ICE protests nationwide including in Minneapolis. The 2025-2026 measles outbreak continues. On January 22, 2026, Trump's Executive Order 14253 is carried out, removing exhibits commemorating the history of slavery in the United States at the President's House. This is nothing more than pure racism by the Trump regime. House Representative Ihan Omar was attacked by a chemical substance on January 27, 2026. The Epstein files are released more. The Reverend Jesse Jackson passed away on February 17, 2026.  By February 2026, the U.S. and Israel launched a major attack on Iran with the stated goal of regime change. The attack killed its leader Ali Khamenei. Domestically, the US underwent two partial government shutdowns, with the second shutdown currently ongoing and impacting the US Department of Homeland Security, with the core issue regarding the funding of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

In addition, 2026 saw the first major judicial actions against prediction markets, in particular Kalshi and the usage of its platform and other prediction markets to bypass state regulations on sports betting, with Nevada being the first to land a court-enforced ban of Kalshi and Arizona being the first to file criminal charges against Kalshi.  The third No Kings protests were held (on March 28, 2026) in all 50 U.S. states against the policies of Trump and his administration including the Iran war, ICE operations, and the January shootings of Renée Good and Alex Pretti. In science and technology, the most prominent story so far has been the April 2026 NASA mission Artemis II, the first crewed deep-space mission since 1972. Artemis II sent four astronauts—including the first woman, a black man, and Canadian—to circumnavigate the Moon. On April 27, 2026, the suspect in the White House Correspondents' Dinner shooting is charged with attempting to assassinate the president, along with weapon offences relating to the incident at the Washington DC Hilton. He does not enter a plea. King Charles and Queen Camilla arrive in America for a state visit on April 27, 2026.  Former James Comey has been charged by the DOJ for threatening Donald Trump. There has been massive drought across the South especially by April of 2026.

Louisiana postpones the House primaries after the Supreme Court ruling. This is fascism as the election is underway, and the governor of Louisiana has no right via fiat to postpone House primaries. This anti-voting measure could come in many more states. This is why voting matters. People need to vote and invest in attorney and activities to combat these illegal edicts.
