The Minnesota Mass Shooting.

There has been another mass shooting in Minneapolis. It happened at a Catholic school when 17 people were shot and 2 children murdered by a coward. The murderer died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. There is no justification for murder and shooting innocent people period. Anyone who does such actions are evil and ought to face the ultimate punishment. Also, there is the elephant in the room. I really don't care if MAGA people like it or not, but the truth must be told in season and out of season. The elephant in the room is that we have a public health emergency involving gun mass shootings, and the lie is that nothing can be done. If human beings can create the Internet or send people to the Moon, then we can enact real solutions to fight against mass gun violence in our society. The lie of nothing can be done should outrage us all as something can be done. People shouldn't give me the jazz about gun not killing people. Gun have killed people for centuries. We shouldn't ban all guns, but we should have regulations on them. The same hypocrites who lecture us on regulations on social conduct want no regulations on weapons. That is pure hypocrisy and people who subscribe to that nonsense know it. Most Americans want federal gun background checks, a ban on assault weapons, and other policies like investments in our communities. The murderer had all of the characteristics of a racist monster. This person had a manifesto and had videos of this individual hating black people, hating Latino people, hating Jewish people (being anti-Semitic), and hating Christians. So, this racist, xenophobic person hates the diversity of America and desired to glorify violence and murder being completely evil. There is evil in the world, and good is always superior to evil. Moms Demand Action and other groups are doing yeoman's work in fighting for real solutions relating to common sense measure, not total gun bans. We desire human lives to be saved in this world.

There is a lot of corporate financial interests behind the Trump's executive orders to deploy the National Guard in U.S. cities. For centuries, the oligarchy seeks not only to harm the rights of the working class and the poor. They want to control people in centralized institutions too. The Trump administration is showing retribution against his political opponents, sending National Guard troops to American cities (even without the approval of Governors in those states), and expanded the executive branch in an authoritarian fashion (when there should be three co-equal branches of government with equal political powers with checks and balances). This reality is unprecedented in American history since the days before the American Civil War. Trump allowing a military force to carry arms in American cities is totally historic and reactionary. Trump is acting in submission to the financial oligarchy as his narcissism represents his hatred of democratic freedoms. I'm not a fiscal conservative, but America's national debt is $37 trillion, and the extension of his tax cuts for the super-rich is running almost $2 trillion per year. Trump is doing these actions to make sure that he won't be held accountable for his overtly unjust, illegal policies. We have massive austerity with cuts to Medicaid and other social programs. Trump wants bans on mail in voting and controls over our 2026 election. Trump is motivated by demonic revenge and an embrace of fascism.

We have warned people that Trump will do this. It is the height of sacrilege and hypocrisy for MAGA hypocrites to claim Trump is godly but ignore how Trump does inhuman actions like restricting due process rights, going about to seek Muslim bans, and desiring to do what he wants (that he has said publicly). The MAGA hypocrites claim to follow God, but deny God giving people the power to address gun violence in making solutions to the epidemic of mass shooting. We can make solutions, but many extremists care more for a gun than human life. Either a human life has more value than a gun or vice versa. I believe that a human life has much more intrinsic value than a gun. If dead babies from gun violence don't motivate you to endorse reasonable gun solutions, then those people, who support the status quo, are sadists. There is no other way to put it. A perverted President Trump who made perverted comments about his own daughter, says that he doesn't ask God forgiveness, and jokes about being a dictator has no credibility in claiming morality or sane leadership period. MAGA hypocrites claim to be in favor of small government, but they are silent when Trump expanded the executive branch of government in an authoritarian fashion. It is the cruelty against the homeless, against immigrants, against qualified black women, against black people in general, against other oppressed people that Trump supports via his policies and his words (when he constantly calls black women with whom he disagrees with "low IQ" in a racist, sexist fashion). I do believe that some MAGA cultists view Trump as infallible. I don't, and I make my points clear on that. We must always do the right thing, fight for justice, protect our God-given rights, and endorse victory for democracy.

There is a walkout protest after CDC officials were unjustly fired by Robert Kennedy Jr. Many CDC workers resigned. The CDC is ousted as Robert Kennedy Jr. has extremist views who not only made racist remarks about COVID-19 but is skeptical of tons of vaccines. Robert Kennedy Jr. also wants to rubber stamp his views and CDC Director refused to do anything illegal and unscientific. Robert Kennedy Jr. is a sellout who was once an environmental lawyer, but he supports the most anti-environmental President in American history who is Donald Trump.

I found a new cousin from Ancestry.com DNA list. Her name is Sandra Elliot, who is my 3rd cousin. We are descendants of Morefield Hurst-Turner (1827-1918) and Milly Woodson Bozeman (1830-1910), who are my 4th great-grandparents. Morefield was an African American freeman and Milly Woodson Bozeman was a descendant of the Nottoway Native American people. They lived in Southampton County, Virginia. They had many children and one of them was Cordelia (Candy) Turner (1856-1934). Cordelia Turner married John Henry Wiggins (b. 1853) on December 14, 1876, at Southampton County, Virginia. One of their children was Lula Wiggins (1899-1971). My 1st cousin Lula Wiggins married Ernest Hines on November 22, 1919, at Suffolk, Virginia. By this time, many of the descendants of Morefield and Milly Turner traveled into Suffolk, Norfolk, Baltimore, Portsmouth, and beyond. The children of Lula Wiggins and Ernest Hines were Annie Betty Hines (1920-2022), Charlie Ernest Hines Sr. (1921-1998), and Leroy Hines (1924-1991). Charlie Erenst Hines Sr. married Fannie Sirlinster Hines (1923-1998) on December 9, 1946, at Nansemond, Virginia. Nansemond is a term meaning Suffolk now. The couple had many children who are Sheila Diane Hines (b. 1949), Charlie Hines Jr. (1950-2010), Sandra Laverne Hines (b. 1951), Cynthia Yvonne Hines (b. 1953), Paula Wisteria Hines (b. 1957), Phyllis Denise Hines (b. 1962), Barbara Annette Hines, and Gwendolyn Hines. The daughter of Sandra Hines is Lauren Elliot.

Late August 2025 Updates.

Trump hypocritically claims to want to fight crime, but he along with Congressional Republicans cut over $800 million in public safety and crime prevent grants nationally, including cutting $158 million in funding to Illinois. The National Guard never signed up to be sent to cities in this fashion at all. Now, the National Guard troops are being forced to clean up trash around Washington, D.C. Now, Russia has depleted tank reserves due to the Ukrainian war. This shows that Russia may have nuclear warheads that can travel thousands of miles, but Russia is not omnipotent. Only God is omnipotent. I find it telling that the same fake "leftists" to talk about imperialism are stone cold silent on the war crimes of Putin. You can't only expose the war crime of Netanyahu but silent on the war crimes done by Putin. Doing that is hypocrisy and cowardice. Many of these fake "leftists" are covertly or overtly funded by Russian intelligence via their media services, etc. China is wise. China was probably shocked that Russia is struggling against Ukraine militarily. This is no time for appeasement. The only solution to this war is for Russia to leave Ukraine, and Ukraine to be allowed to be an independent, sovereign nation. Also, I make a distinction between the dictator Putin in Russia (he is using drone attacks against apartments and other civilian locations which is a war crime), and the millions of Russian people who sincerely want peace and democracy in Russia. Many Russian dissidents have been jailed in Russia for heroically opposing the authoritarian edicts of Putin. Also, Ukraine deserves freedom in its own right.

Once upon a time, many people wouldn't believe that a President would send military forces to occupy cities using peacetime with no national emergency. Now, we live in that reality. Trump said that he wanted to be a dictator on day one. Many deluded Americans unfortunately agree with military occupations of American citizens permanently. This is part of some folks who love tyranny instead of liberty and justice for all. Now, many people are speaking out against this corrupt administration at GOP town halls, even in the conservative state of Missouri. Now, we have financial issues that are growing. In Texas and Florida, there were housing booms. Yet, many people in those states relied on credit. Now, costs in construction, insurance premium going up, and property taxes being high have left many households relying on credit cards and personal loans to survive. Louisiana and Mississippi have places with slower growth, lower incomes, and structural poverty that leave people vulnerable. There is unequal wealth distribution that causes tons of people to live paycheck to paycheck with high rents and growing economic stress. If nothing is done to solve these financial complications, then a financial recession will happen in the near future. That is why I say now that people ought to save and invest in their money, own resources, and prepare for the future.

Trump has threatened Chris Christie with an investigation after Christie criticized him. Trump has a hatred of the separation of powers as he believes that the executive branch must have supreme power over all other 2 branches of government. Christie has every right to dissent with Trump. Trump can't stand dissent. Ironically, Christie is a Republican who has supported Trump for years. Trump wants to bring down former Biden officials. We have a historic, unprecedented crisis of the harm done to the working class in America that only can be solved by mass social struggle. This reality is not just done by MAGA extremists. It has also been done by centrists, who recently, with their Third Way agenda, want people to not say the words of incarcerated, unhoused, Latinix, cultural appropriation, and other non-offensive progressive words, because the Third Way wants to show bigotry by silence. See, we know that the far right is filled with bigots, incels, sexists, xenophobes, Hoteps, etc., but centrists in many cases are more of a threat. The reason is that they are slicker, realizing that a centrist never caused revolutionary change in human history. Malcolm X, Dr. King, Harriet Tubman, Frederick Douglass, Fannie Lou Hamer, Septima Clark, Ella Baker, etc. were not centrists but progressives and revolutionaries who changed the world in numerous positive ways. The Third Way doesn't even want people to say the words of democracy or housing insecurity which shows their out-of-touch mentality and hatred of grassroots activism. The Third Way's list of banned words is not only censorship and cowardice. It's bigoted to be silent on incarcerated people, and it strips the identities of minorities who live in urban, suburban, and yes, rural locations. The Third Way promotes the stereotypical lie that rural people don't understand complex concepts of social issues. I don't need some token list of banned words from the Third Way. I say what I want whenever I want, however I want, with limited exceptions (i.e. I don't use libel, slander, etc.). The Third Way is nothing more than a corporate, Wall Street backed movement that seeks comfort and the status quo instead of justice for all of humanity (which acknowledges the diverse identities in the human family).

The Supreme Court made another bad decision that Trump can slash $783 million in DEI research funding. In Gaza, the famine has killed 289 Gazans as Israel attacks Gaza City. These 289 people included 1115 children who have died of malnutrition and starvation since the start of the attacks in Gaza. This news comes after the UN-backed Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) hunger monitor officially pronounced a famine in Gaza on Friday. The report said that the famine is totally man-made and it can be halted and reversed. We have starvation in Gaza and in other places of the world that must end. According to UN figures, almost 12,000 children under the age of five were found to have acute malnutrition in July 2025 (which has continued to go up). Munir al-Bursh, the director of Gaza's Health Ministry, said that in the past 24 hours alone, 8 Palestinians, including one child, had died of starvation or malnutrition. IDF wants to conquer Gaza City. They are raging war for control. Netanyahu said that the attacks on Gaza would take place regardless of a ceasefire or agreement with Hamas. Also, many innocent journalists have been killed by Israeli military forces constantly.

Illinois Governor Pritzker gave a speech in response to Trump issuing threats to send the National Guard to Chicago. He said that the state of Illinois will oppose the plan of sending National Guard troops to the court system. He said many legitimate arguments about the agenda of Trump being not about fighting crime, but he wants authoritarian control over American society. He said that you can delay justice for a time, but you can prevent justice. Trump said that he can do whatever he wants. No, he can't. The Governor of Illinois said that crimes in Chicago and in blue states have gone down. The Mayor of Chicago Johnson have spoken on this issue too. We don't need autocratic actions, and we have fascism in America now. Trump is a fascist in trying to use armed troops in American citizens which is totally illegal. Trump has been a convicted criminal for years. Trump wants to target elections and blue states for ideological elections. Governor Pritzker said that the top 8 states with the highest crime rates in America are found in red states which is true.

New Information Galore.

The myth now is that people are not fighting back against Trump's reactionary, retrograde policies. There had been a Day Without Immigrants protest in American cities in February 2025. By February 5, 2025, thousands of protesters gathered at state capitols for the American Opposition and 50501 protests to protest the policies and actions of the 2nd Donald Trump administration, in America. Many protesters marched in West Hollywood, California, on February 22, 2025, to oppose Elon Musk's DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) and the Trump agenda. There have been African Americans boycotting Target and other companies that promoted anti-DEI programs. We have a crisis in the black community. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, black men earn less than white men weekly if you place the data in a controlled analysis where both had the same qualifications in 2023. We have less home ownership now than we did in 1968, and about 300,000 black women were fired unjustly since April 2025 because of the rollbacks of DEI. That reality is wrong as black women's and black men's dignity must be respected. Also, many protesters in town halls have confronted pro-Trump Republicans on the bad budget law that promotes austerity, on the Epstein issue, on constitutional issues, and other harm done to our democracy.

About five years ago, one of the biggest tragedies in black history and human history existed. It was the brutal and intense murder of George Floyd in the Midwest at Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was a hard worker and a father. He begged for his life crying out for his mother, but the officers showed no compassion or empathy to his suffering. Derek Chauvin placed his knee on his neck for over 8 minutes until he died. Chauvin, the murderer, was convicted in my opinion only because the evidence was so overwhelming that he was guilty. Unfortunately, many families of black victims of police brutality never have true justice in the world, regardless if video evidence existed or not. We live in a new generation where the crimes of the oligarchy and their agents are recorded by social media constantly. The Internet was created decades ago by DARPA, but the establishment never anticipated the grassroots and independent scholars using the Internet to give the truth to the people. Afterward, protests existed. The vast majority of the protests were peaceful. Some people did violence and vandalism which have no justification as many of the people who did it were agents provacetuers or straight up agents trying to discredit the movement for social justice and racial justice. The 2020 George Floyd protests were unique being the largest anti-police brutality and anti-racist protests in human history where people of every color stood up for black human lives from Minneapolis to Australia. This caused some reforms to exist from body cameras to police regulations. Yet, with progress comes the backlash. The backlash was head by the MAGA movement to cut services to communities, to bash woke as a slur when it isn't, and to go about to harm civil rights and voting rights policies. The MAGA movement endorses restrictions to legal protests and prevented legal federal investigations into police departments with a known history of police misconduct. Trump is in head of this cult, and Trump wants any governmental workers and all Americans to pledge total allegiance to him which is immoral. We have allegiance to our conscience, to the truth, to our God, to the legitimate parts of the U.S. Constitution, and to morality plus integrity. We have allegiance to righteousness not to a President unconditionally as we have the right to our independent thinking. So, we have a long way to go in 2025, but truth is on our side. At the end of the day, we are inspired by the George Floyd movement to stand up against up against evil, speak truth to power, and defend the dignity of human lives.

This year is the 100th year Anniversary of the Brotherhood Sleepy Car Porters. This moment is very important part of African American history and culture. This group of the BSCP was the first labor organization led by African Americans to receive a charter in the American Federation of Labor (AFL). Back in the day, many black people were heavily discriminated against in the labor movement. Labor unionism is a legitimate aim for workers to pursue, but our black ancestors had to fight to not only end oppression against all workers. We had to fight racism, even in some unions back in the day. The BSCP grew very large with a membership of 18,000 passenger railway workers in Canada, Mexico, and the United States of America. After the American Civil War, the Pullman porter had a decent wage for black Americans. Major leaders of the BSCP were of course, the civil rights leader and socialist A. Philip Randolph (its founder and first president), Milton Webster (vice president and lead negotiator), and C. L. Dellums (vice president and second president). All three black men were involved in the eradication of Jim Crow apartheid in the South. BSCP members like E.D. Nixon were involved in grassroots organization and economic empowerment, being involved in the 1954 Montgomery Bus Boycott. By 1978, the BSCP merged with the Brotherhood of Railway and Airline Clerks (BRAC) to become the Transportation Communications and International Union.

By the 1920s and the 1930s, the Pullman Company was one of the largest single employers of black people. Back then, being a black Pullman Company worker would mean a middle-class or an upper-middle-class life. Yet, there were issues. Many workers were called George, not Mr. or Sir. Some were called slurs. Some had to work long hours and paid little wages. They weren't promoted to conductor, which was reserved for white people back then. So, 500 porters met in Harlem on August 25, 1925, to organize again. They wanted equal rights for workers. Randolph and Webster (they had differences) fought for the common cause of black workers having great working conditions, workers' rights, and other rights to benefit the black communities and their families. By 1937, the BSCP fought to allow the Pullman Company to increase wages for porters and maids, have a 240 hour month, and give overtime pay after 260 hours. Women in the BSCP were African American and Chinese Americans. Many women had fought for union like in the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union like Rosina C. Tucker and Halena Wilson including Frances Albrier. In 1953, Violet King Henry was the first black woman lawyer in Canada and the first black law graduate in Alberta). The union's president and vice president traveled to Alberta to recognize her. Today, movies and books celebrate their legacy like The Porter in 2022 being an 8 part CBC and BET television drama (being a worker of fiction partly inspired by the creation of the BSCP).

There are many hockey legends. One prominent one was Wayne Douglas Gretzky. He is a former Canadian professional ice hockey player and former head coach. He played 20 season in the National Hockey League (NHL) form 1979 to 1999. He is known as the greatest ice hockey player ever by the NHL. He is the leading point scorer and assist producer in NHL history. Gretzky has more assists than any other player has total career points. He is the only NHL player to total over 200 points in one season, a feat he made in four times. Gretzky scored more than 100 points in 15 professional seasons. By the time of his retirement in 1999, he held 61 NHL records, 40 regular season records, 15 playoff records, and six All-Star records. He played centre. He was born and raised in Brantford, Ontario. As a child, he played hockey above and beyond his peers. He had stamina and an intelligence plus reading of the game that caused him much success throughout his sports career. He set up behind his opponent's net too. He can improvise on the fly. He worked on many hockey teams too. He loves his wife and his children. The first black NHL player was Willie O'Ree who played first with the Boston Bruins on January 18, 1958. He was honored with the NHL's Willie O'Ree Community Hero Award and he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2018. He was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. His grandparents were escapees of slavery in the United States, moving to Canada via the Underground Railroad. He played organized hockey when he was five years old. He played in his family's backyard rink. His autobiography is The Willie O'Ree Story: Hockey's Black Pioneer. He experienced racist slurs from people in the stands, but he stood firm in performing his sport that he loved. There were 23 black players in the NHL by the mid 2010s. Other black players are Art Dorrington, Mike Marson, and other human beings. O'Ree has been the NHL's Diversity Ambassador to go in North Africa to schools and hockey programs to promote messages of inclusion, dedication, and confidence.

Viola Davis is married to actor Julius Tennon since June 2003. The couple has a daughter named Genesis via adoption. Davis is also a stepmother to Tennon's 2 children from previous relationships. As part of her partnership with Vaseline to promote the Vaseline Healing Project, Davis attended the groundbreaking of a free community health center in Central Falls, Rhode Island in October 2016 that was sponsored by the project. The project provided dermatological care to help heal the skin of those affected by poverty around the world. She was a speaker at the 2018 Women's March event in Los Angeles.

Viola Davis is easily one of the greatest and influential actresses of our generation. She helped to promote dark skinned black women actresses in a positive light, similar to what Cicely Tyson did decades ago. For her stage work,  Davis has won two Tony Awards, three Drama Desk Awards, an Obie Award, and a Theater World Award. She holds the distinction of becoming the first actress of color to win the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. Davis is the first African-American to win five Screen Actors Guild Awards. Davis is also tied for the most film wins for an actress at the Screen Actors Guild Awards; and with six overall wins, she is the most awarded African American. She has also received nominations for six Golden Globes Awards and three BAFTA Awards, winning one of each, in addition to winning the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Fences (2016). This led to her becoming the first black performer to achieve the Triple Crown of Acting by winning a competitive Oscar, Emmy and Tony. She is also the first actress of colour to have received four Academy Award nominations. Davis was awarded an honorary doctorate in Fine Arts from her undergraduate alma mater, Rhode Island College, in 2002. On January 20, 2020, Davis was awarded an honorary doctoral degree in fine arts from Indiana University. In February 2023, she was awarded the Grammy Award for Best Audio Book, Narration & Storytelling Recording for the narration to her 2022 autobiography Finding Me, making her the 18th person to achieve EGOT status. In 2024 it was announced she would receive the Golden Globe Cecil B. DeMille Award. In December of 2024, the Coalition for Faith and Media presented Davis and her husband Julius Tennon with an inaugural Faith and Spirituality in Entertainment Honor for the work of their production company JuVee Productions.

Viola Davis stands on the foundations of giants from Cicely Tyson, Sarah Vaughan, Dorothy Dandridge, and other artists who love their work. She was born in the South and raised in the New England state of Rhode Island. So, her diverse experience greatly influenced her diverse contributions involving movies, television, and the stage. As being a winner of the EGOT, her contributions to acting are paramount and diverse. After recieving the Cecil B. DeMille Award in 2025, she is still going strong to outline some of the great stories of our time period. She went on the Braodway play of August Wilson's Seven Guitars in 1996. For those who don't know, August Wilson is one of the greatest playwrights in human history. She has been on Wisods, The Woman King, Doubt, Fences, and other films that shows not only the confortable side of life. She has been involved in controversial, complex roles, because human beings are filled with nuiance and complexity in our lives personally.

So many years have passed now. We are in the 25th year of this new century and nearing 2030 at a rapid pace. Today, America is at a crossroads in its audacious history. After almost 250 years of America's existence, you still have some people who want to whitewash its past for political reasons. The reality is that America's history is filled not only with slavery, but with Jim Crow, the peonage system (which was de facto slavery lasting into the 1940s), the War on Drugs, and other evils like structural racism that persists to this day. Also, we have heroes in America back then and now who have stood up against injustice constantly. Many of these human beings aren't just famous but unsung. Also, it is important to note that many members of the far right are not only fascists but historically have ties to fascists, dominionists, and promote extremist views. Heritage Foundation founder Paul Weyrich supported voter suppression in 1980, saying that he doesn't want everybody to vote at all. There is hypocrisy among many Republicans. Many of them lecture people on family values, but they support Trump, who was once a friend of the sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein (Trump had a party with Epstein at Mar-a-Lago back in 1992). Trump has coddled Putin in Alaska, and Putin being allowed to ride in the Beast vehicle raises questions in my mind. The Washington Post reported as early as 2017 that Donald Trump met with Russian diplomats in the Oval Office and shared intelligence with them. There have been rumors that Trump is a KGB agent. I don't know if this is true or not (Felix Sater is a convicted felon who has many ties to Donald Trump), but we know that Trump is known to glorify dictators and authoritarians like Hungary's leader, Putin, and other people.

There are many more children and grandchildren of my late 1st cousin Arthur Harris (1923-2009) that I didn't know about until recently. He was married twice. His first marriage was to Sarah Mattie Russell (1927-2005) on November 13, 1945 at Portsmouth, Virginia. That marriage ended on March 15, 1951 at Portsmouth, Virginia. His 2nd wife was Essie Marie Johnson (b. 1935) who was married on July 20, 1951 at Portsmouth, Virginia. Arthur Harris had the following children with Sarah Mattie Russell: Marvin Napeoleon Harris (b. 1948), Ronnie Harris (1959-2024), Ella Webb, Madeline Cecilia Harris (b. 1950), and Ulyssses Erikin Harris (b. 1949). Ronnie Harris married JeNette Jones Harris and had the daughter of Amircale Harris. He had other children who are Kiyaaan Shanise Cox (B. 1985), Andrew Williams, Anquan Williams, Jasmine Willaims, and Joshua Burton. Ronnie Harris attended Carddock High School and spent two years at Western Tidewater Community College. He is known for his sense of humor.

My 2nd cousin Marvin Napoleon Harris married Marie Rawls (b. 1950) on December 18, 1968 at Portsmouth, Virginia. Marvin Napoleon Harris and Marle Rawls had these children: Marlene Harris Thoren (b. 1969), Linette P. Harris Reese (1971-2013), and Tyrone Harris (b. 1981-2015). Tyrone is survived by a daughter, Keshayla Wynn; a son, Jaylin Dancy; a sister, Marlene Thorne (Vertie) and three brothers, Marlin Lee, Derrick Lee and DaRon Bynum; two very close friends, Quentin and Tenshia Norvell as well as a host of family and friends. Linette P. Harris-Reese (who once married Tracy Kevin Vaughan) has a daughter named Marquita Harris Evans. Marquita Harris Evans is married to Chris Evans, and their daughter is Heaven Evans.

Marvin's brother, Ulyssess Erskin Harris was married twice. His frist wife is Catherine W. Terrell, who was married on January 2, 1973 at Lincoln, Tennesse. His 2nd wife is Claudia Mae Richardson on September 2, 1994 at Portsmouth, Virginia. Ulysses Erskin's Harris and Catherine W. Terrell had the daughter of Marlene Maria Harris Thorne (b. 1969). She has the son of Rae Harris and Brehon Harris. She is married to Vertie Winnie Thorne since January 20, 2012 (at Portsmouth, Virginia). Ulysses Erskin Harris lives in Georgia now. He grew up in Portsmouth, Virginia. He went to high school by September of 1966 as one of just seven young African American children to be admitted into one of Portsmouth's all-white schools. He said that he played with kids of many colors until high school. He went to Keto School before, an all-black school. He went to Cradock High School by 1966. He was the first black person on Cradock's wreslting tema, winning 2n overall in the local dvision. He served in the U.S. Miltiary and graduated with his Asscoiate's Degree from Tidewater Community College. Today, he lives in Atlanta, Georgia. Arthur Harris and Essie Marie Johnson had the following children of Delvonia Marie Harris (b. 1949) and Mordecai Harris (b. 1955).

Trump saying that museums show too much information about how bad slavery outline his delusion, his racism, and his total abhorrence of the truth. The Maafa and chattel slavery should be shown not to dull the consciousness of people who believe in a whitewashed interpretation of history. It ought to be presented to the world as a historical fact and a reminder of how America was created. The truth is that the 2 original sins of America were slavery against black people and the genocide of Native Americans. Many Americans made great accomplishments and did good, but it is a lie to assume that America is without sin. Showing the truth about slavery and real American history is paramount in seeing the real truth about America. Museums showing slavery is not about hating every white person as an unrepentant devil (as many conservatives claim). It is about showing what really happened in our history. Slavery did happen, black families being split apart forever happened, rape against black people during the Maafa and chattel slavery actually happened, and other evils happened in the worst form of slavery in human history. The Maafa was unique in it involved the rape, torture, kidnapping, stripping away of culture and creeds of innocent people by force, abuse, and torture of millions of black African people being sent to multiple continents over the course of centuries. That never happened before in human history, regardless of MAGA followers like Jillian Michaels have said. White racists believe that they alone have a monopoly on virtue and freedom, and all non-black people must be in subservience ideologically, socially, spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally to all white people. We don't believe in that lie.  We believe that history shouldn't be sugarcoated, we believe that black is beautiful, and we must defend the rights of the oppressed. What is happening at the Smithsonian is a disgrace by the far-right movement. It is important to note that black people fought back against the Maafa in Africa, on the ships, in the Americas, and beyond. The sacrifice of our ancestors who fought for freedom and justice will always remain in our souls forever and ever.

Newly unredacted filings reveal FOX hosts prioritized ratings over verified reporting during the 2020 election. Pirro on FOX (when she was a "journalist") said that she wants to help the Republicans and Donald Trump. This wasn't honest reporting, but many people at FOX made a conscious deception to advance false views. Trump wants to ban mail-in voting and control how states count votes, which is fascism. There is still the issue of the decline of geographic and job mobility in many places of the United States of America. The reason for this reality is because of housing market rigidity, job inflexibility, and massively expensive items. The needs of the working class have been bound to the dictates of finance capital. According to the Journal, the share of Americans moving upward each year has declined from ca. 20 percent during the mid-20th century to 7.8 percent today. Job switching rates have been lower. That is why many people have low-paying jobs, unaffordable housing, and other bad conditions. This happened after the postwar economic boom after WWII. It ended by the mid-1970s with the stagflation, the end of the Bretton Woods system, and other economic complications. There was deindustrialization that harmed entire cities of industrial jobs and an economic power base from Detroit to Pittsburgh. Today, we have speculation and luxury development forcing numerous working-class people into homelessness. Now, the Trump crew wants to criminalize homelessness while denying that housing is a human right in a cruel sense of hypocrisy and cruelty. Cruelty is the point is th motto of the MAGA movement. There have been attacks on public services, blocking rent control, and promoting corporate tax cuts for the super wealthy that cut local budgets, causing massive austerity.

The reactionary and cruel actions of Trump and ICE have been opposed by tons of Americans. Only 43 percent of Americans support Trump's immigration policies. The far right has a monolithic view of immigration, as they desire to deport any undocumented immigrant, because they believe in dehumanizing certain people for xenophobic reasons. ICE has been caught arresting U.S. citizens, legal migrants, and harassing communities nationwide. The images show families split, due process violated, and a lacking of nuisance and compassion towards the struggles of immigrants. Family separations are happening daily, even in New York City, because an extremist in the White House desires authoritarian rule. Most people believe in deporting undocumented immigrants who are murderers, sex criminals, and transnational gang members after due process of law. Most Americans don't agree with splitting families and deporting undocumented immigrants who have lived peacefully in America for years and decades. Immigrants being massively deported will cause schools to shut down, hospitals to shut down, and the economy to be harmed, as America relies on immigrants for economic vitality. We have to call it as it is. These mass deportations involve ordinary people, beyond gang members, and this is done to promote racism and the promotion of the lie of replacement theory. ICE is using violent arrests against people to promote fear. These actions are antithetical to the Golden Rule. That is why we need a comprehensive immigration policy that focuses not only on security but also on compassion for immigrants, irrespective of their status.

Texas House votes on the GOP redistributing plan. This effort by the GOP is not only against voting rights as this is not a census year. It relates to how the GOP in Texas is stealing the votes in Texas unjustly for the sake of growing political power. The hypocrisy is that the Republicans claim to love individual rights, but they want to strip away the legal representation of mostly black and brown citizens in Texas to increase the GOP power base. They claim to hate big government but want to expand the government involving ICE and other institutions to promote fear and anti-free speech measures. I make no bones about me not believing in small government, but I don't advocate tyranny against people who disagree with me. That is why people must be in the offensive to defend voting rights and support courageous people who reject the corruption found in the status quo. Some said that the actions of the GOP violate the Title II section of the 1965 Voting Rights Act. Like always, this is not a time for moderation, as centrists never caused revolutionary change in a meaningful way. That was done by progressives and revolutionaries who sacrificed their time and their lives to promote voting rights, civil rights, and human rights in general, along with economic justice. Kamala Harris (who was a DA, Attorney General of California, a Senator, and a Vice President proving her experience in government) gave words of encouragement to Texas state legislator Nicole Collier. Nicole Collier is being held hostage in the Texas chamber because she rightfully refused to sign a document to be escorted and stalked by DPS officers. Nicole Collier is a victim of kidnapping, and this is truly anti-democratic.

California Democrats have retaliated against Texas GOP's power grab by passing policies to benefit California Democrats. We have a constitutional crisis and a national emergency of people targeting our democracy. That is why people have every right to call their Representatives, attend town halls, volunteer, mentor people, and be actively involved in the solution making process. It is not enough to criticize evil. We have to be part of the fight for democracy in our lives. We have power, and we have every right to boycott companies, law firms, and other institutions that support the Trump agenda. That is why Target's power is lowering because of black protests against Trump's anti-DEI policies. We can support local and state politicians who are making a difference. We can invest in community groups that help people every day. We have the right to rebuke and refute bigoted statements made by some people. Democracy is our birthright, and we have to fight for our God given freedoms.

Trump Attacks Black History: CNN Debate on Erasing Slavery from Museums ...

The Reality that We Live In.

It has been over 10 years since the MAGA movement has started, and it has been the greatest threat to our democracy since the American Civil War. Back then, the Confederate enemy wanted slavery to spread in America, but they were defeated by black people and Union soldiers (which included many black people too). Today, we have the MAGA cult that have members who unconditionally support Trump, silent on genocide, silent on violations to our democratic freedom, and silent on Trump's bigotry. These Trump supporters should feel shame as the Trump administration has burned over 500 metric tons of U.S. emergency food rations meant for starving kids in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and other places in the world. This is cruelty. These MAGA hypocrites invoke God in their justification to support Trump, but such behavior by Trump is demonic and anti-God. This agenda of oligarchy and monarchy rule has been planned by Project 2025, the views of Curtis Yarvin, the Claremont Institute, and other extremists for centuries. These extremists not only want revenge for the Biden victory in 2020. They want the progressive blessings (like civil rights, voting rights, environmental protections, conservation, the rights of women, labor rights, the dignity of workers, etc.) to be heavily curtailed or gone. Yarvin is overt to abhor liberal democracy seeking it to eliminate from society. Many of these extremists support Putin who is kidnapping and murdering civilians in Ukraine on a daily basis. Now, we have some fake liberals supporting Putin when Putin is anti-progressive and a murderer. When Trump puppets like Hegseth opposes the view of diversity is our strength, Hegseth forgets that massive diversity caused the Union to win the American Civil War and for the Allied forces to win WWII (filled with courageous men and women of every color to fight for justice). Many ICE agents arresting law abiding citizens and undocumented immigrants in many cases without due process is ignored by MAGA followers. What is going on is also the stripping away of legal protections for legal migrants, even those who have asylum, the harassment of universities in trying to make them accept Trump's views (against the freedom of speech), and Trump wanting to rid of mail in voting. This is fascism, but once against many people ignore this evil. This traitor in the White House, who said perverted comments about his own daughter, pardoned January 6th terrorist insurrectionists, and habitually lies, is the greatest deception of the 21st century. We have to stand up for truth, justice, and democracy for real.

There is certainly a constitutional crisis in Texas and all over America. Once again, many Republicans in the Texas state legislature have gone over the line into fascism. Texas House Democrats have returned to Texas after resisting the GOP Texas redistricting plan that wants to create policies that strip away representation from black and brown residents in Texas. Republican leaders wanted Democrats who came back to the state legislature building to sign off on a law enforcement escort under the guise of "arrest warrants" before they would be allowed to go home after Monday's sessions. This act is unnecessary as people have the right to peaceful protest unjust policies. Texas authorities issued warrants after the GOP legislature tried to pass policies that tear up districts to strip away voters who are more Democratic. One person refused to do this who is State Rep. Nicole Collier of Fort Worth. So, the GOP locked her in the Austin statehouse until the House reconvenes on Wednesday morning. So, the Texas redistricting plans goes to the full House, the full Senate, and Democrats plan on going to the courts.

There are the descendants of my 3rd cousin Daisy Artis (b. 1890). She was born in Virginia. She married Ernest Taylor (b. 1890) on March 1, 1913 at Sussex, Virginia. Sussex is in Hampton Roads, Virginia near Suffolk. Their children are Lee Lawrence Taylor (1916-1975) and Eutelia Purham (1926-2006). Lee Lawrence Taylor first married Mattie Granderson (b. 1916) on December 19, 1936 at Sussex, Virginia. Their children are James Taylor (1937-1937), Ruth Marie Taylor (b. 1939), Mary Rebecca Taylor (b. 1940), and Barbara Ann Taylor (b. 1942). Ruth Marie Taylor married Herbert Jones, and one of their children was Larry Darnell Jones (1954-2022). Lee Lawrence Taylor later married Thelma Seapy on June 21, 1952. Larry Darnell Jones married Constance Diane Gee (b. 1958) on May 14, 1983, at Prince George, Virginia. Their children are Antoine Darnell, Erica Taylor, Herbert Lamont, and Lashawnda Mone. Their grandchildren are Eric Taylor, Tianna Jones, Kinnedy and Kassidy Clayton, McKenzie, Madison and M'Kayla Jones.

The daughter of Daisy Artis and Ernest Taylor is Eutelia Parham. Eutelia Parham married Samuel Parham Sr. (b. 1921) on November 28, 1942 at Prince George, Virginia. That location is near Petersburg. Their children are Waverly L. Parham (b. 1948), Rojean H. Parham (b. 1948), Annanist Parham (1955-2007), Red Parham, Timothy Parham, Sam Parham Jr., and Daisy Uzzle. Daisy Artis's father was William Walter Artis (b. 1892). The mother of Walter Artis (1862) was Indiana Bozeman Crocker (1831-1896). The parents of Indiana Bozeman Crocker were Thomas Crocker (1810-1877) and Patsy Williams Crocker (1810-1870). The parents of Patsy Williams Crocker were Burwell Williams and Winifred-Woodson Bozeman (b. 1791). The parents of Winifred Woodson-Bozeman were Nancy Woodson (1760-1808) and Micajah Woodson (d. 1823). Nancy Woodson was my 7th great grandmother.

In the end, victory is ours. We don't live in typical times. We have an elite-favored economy that benefit mostly the super rich who are worth billions and billions of dollars of money, equity, real estate, and other forms of economic resources, beyond just liquid capital. We know about the epidemic of corporate greed being promoted by many of the most powerful corporations in the world. That is why monopolizes persists to this day. Still, there is a remnant of people in the world who desire no fanfare, no ego boosts, and no massive praise. They are the regular workers in a job providing for his or her family. They are protesters who are peacefully disagreeing with a madman who seeks unlimited immunity for his wickedness. They are the parents caring for the children teaching them about ethics, tolerance, and human equality. Many of them are demanding GOP politicians to be honest about the dangerous high tariffs or be transparent about the Epstein issue. These people are human beings of every color who struggle to pay groceries, pay health care costs, and seek relief in a fragile economic situation. These people don't follow propaganda, and they are heavily unsung seeking the light at the end of the tunnel. So, at the very end, truth will remain and prevail over evil. Good is always superior to evil in all ways, and we do best when we act in righteousness.

Late August 2025 Updates.

We live in many changes in the world, but one thing that remains the same is the truth. Country music has been around in the modern era for almost one century. Even before that time, country music elements have been abundant from the banjo the guitar, and to certain vocal genres. The essence of country music is diverse in dealing with rural culture, cowboys, the rugged events of life (as life will never be completely perfect all of the time), the honest expression of humanity, and the essence of having purpose to see the day. Rural life has a vibe of self-reliance and independence found at the bedrock of much of American culture. Farm, family, religious institutions, and activism encompass the landscape of country living. Not to mention, community is important too. No human is an island, and all human beings have received help at least one time in the duration of their lives. That is why there is power in the individual and in the collective. Country music has been expressed by people of all colors, nationalities, sexes, and backgrounds eloquently filled with passion and strength. It is important for us to believe in things from freedom to justice for all. After the Cowboy Carter album, which was done by Beyonce Knowles-Carter, more human beings know more about the black contributions to country music and culture. That is certainly a profound, historic blessing. Regardless of how you feel about Beyonce, you can't deny her Southern country roots (Beyonce actually been to rodeos and her ancestors are from the Deep South in real life) and her talent as it pertains to overall popular culture. Country music is part of our overall global human culture that seeks to learn to discover, to love, and to embark on an intrepid, hallowed journey to go establish a better future than the past indeed.

Hockey is a worldwide sport that focuses on teamwork and strategy. It is a very physical game, and even fights have occurred among different teams. The penalty box is ever used in hockey games constantly. Yet, what is important involving hockey is about the love of the sport that hockey players earnestly invest in their hearts. There are 2 teams filled with six players each in hockey that battle for one goal of victory. Tons of people already know about the greatest hockey players in history like Wayne Gretzky (who holds many NHL records for goals, assists, and points), Mario Lemieux, and Alex Ovechkin. There are many unsung players like Gordie Howe, Sidney Crosby, Patrick Roy, and Martin Brodeur. Hockey can be played on the ice, in the grass, and in other locations. People wear skates, helmets, protective padding, and use hockey sticks in the game. Hockey is heavily popular in Canada, America, Russia, Sweden, Finland, and other countries of the world.

I will always have an eternal love of Africa, because that is where my ancestors came from, and Africa is a blessing for the human race in general. Never give up is a precept that we all believe. Once upon a time, we didn't realize all the information that we know now. Yet, we worked hard, studied information, showed resiliency, and believe in truth with the inspiration from God to achieve great and mighty things. Africa is the location of the origin of all human life as proven by the maternal and paternal haplogroups, DNA evidence, etc. Africa is a place filled with diverse nations, cultures, religions, ethnic groups, and various infrastructure that has blessed the Universe in innumerable ways. Patrice Lumumba, Kwame Nkrumah, Thomas Sankara, and other African leaders taught the world about courage, standing up for real principles, and seeking liberation. We live in a new generation of our existence filled with a military occupation of Washington, D.C., wars in Ukraine (when the war criminal Putin continues to use drone attacks against civilians in Ukraine that even fake so-called "progressives" ignore or whitewash. These people are not real progressives to be clear) and Gaza (when Palestinians are starving to death which is evil), and increased prices on many goods and services. There is a growth of social media, the existence of crypto, the rise of A.I. into the next level, new headsets and devices, advanced smartphones, and other advanced technologies. These new developments have filled the world with fear, awe, and other emotions. Yet, the truth remains the same after all of these years. 25 years later, will be 2050, and we will see how this new 21st century and this new third millennium will evolve into. From climate change to new African alliances, Africa has always possessed a dynamic quality.

The age of Sardis saw a rejuvenated Protestant Reformation going into a caprious situation. The Protestants were here to say, and the Catholic Church also renewed its power. These 2 religious factions created a peace treaty in 1648 and spread worldwide. The paradox is that some people in both religious factions, at that time,  spread their religious views via the notorious evils of slavery (i.e. the Maafa, religious deception), colonialism, racism, sexism, and other forms of religious deceptions like the myth of white racial superiority. Likewise, many legitimate followers of God spread the Gospel internationally with love, grace, and inspiration from the Holy Spirit to grow the influence of spirituality too. By this time, there were massive kingdoms who developed mathematics, science, architecture, other forms of technology, art, and literature in Asia, in Africa, in Europe, in the Americas, and in Oceania. New religious denominations spread like the Baptists, the Methodists, Presbyterians, the Quakers, etc. Also, the slave trade used chattel slavery that accelerated. The Maafa or chattel slavery (which was racial anti-black terrorism and economic exploitation) was about kidnapping people, murdering people, rape, and abuse against black human beings. Some use the sacrilege of involving God in justifying these crimes against humanity. Yet, there is absolutely no excuse for rape, murder, abuse, splitting families apart, torture, sexism, and emotional terrorism inflicted on black African people (or anyone in the human race in general) period. There was an Arabic slave trade that ruined many black lives as well. So, the age of Sardis many developments on the eve of world revolutions that should shake monarchies at their core.

Over one billion people believe in Islam in the world, they worship Allah as God. Islam is the second largest religion in the world numerically. It has a long history who starts with many people. Ultimately, Islam was created by a man from Saudi Arabia named Muhammad. To Muslims, Muhammad was a prophet who received a message from the angel Gabriel to establish a monotheistic spiritual movement. Obviously, I am not a Muslim for many reasons. Yet, it is important to know about Islam, because you can't realize your belief system without comprehending what other belief systems are. Being ignorant of other creeds only allows irrational behavior to reign in society. Being knowledgeable and agreeing to disagree with certain religions peacefully will make perfect sense. A lot of people already know that in the religion of Islam, you can't eat pork, you have to go to hajj to worship in Mecca (if a person is able to do it), you must follow zadat, and Muslims deny the existence of the Son of God. For me, I  believe in the existence of the Son of the living God. Islam has been praised, maligned, and stereotyped. It's still here. Therefore, it is important to express our disagreements with Islam without bigotry or Islamophobia. Islamophobia is a very serious problem in the globe where many Muslims (along with Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Hindus, etc.) have been persecuted and murdered worldwide. We  can show our dissent with concepts without malice and without hatred. I wrote about Islam many years ago, so I decided to write a new work on Islam to completely outline views to a new generation of human beings.

This upcoming fall of 2025 represents a challenge and opportunity. It represents the reality of our rights being violated and hope for a better future. One lesson in life is to find joy. Joy is never about naivete or ignoring the world's problems. Joy is a sense of determination and a sense of peace plus enjoyment to witness that quiet place that we can be renewed in our spirits to fight the good fight. This joy can be about laughing with friends, walking in Nature, and praying at a still location. We must reckon with reality too. There is absolutely no excuse to have massive starvation against the Palestinian people, massive criminalization of homelessness in America, the record high prices of groceries and homes in the United States, the existence of racism and sexism, the growth of xenophobia in many quarters of the globe (according to Fortune Magazine, Trump is deporting so many immigrants that it could cause inflation to hit 4% for the time of 2026-2027), and other injustices still plaguing our lands. Now, we have Trump who has placed National Guard troops in Washington, D.C. with plans for him to place like minded troops in many cities across the country.  A lot of people want to be politically correct and whitewash the reality of our nation, but I'm not that of person. I am built differently. For years, you know me as a person who tells it like it is. Today, in America, we live in an authoritarian state filled with fascism. There is no other way to put. The more people understand this fact, the more we can work together to find solutions to end this fascist agenda. That agenda is real as ICE terrorized a 15 year old American student with autism as ICE claimed it was mistaken identity. We know of American citizens who were unjustly arrested by ICE and placed into internment camps now in 2025. We have a regime where one man wants museums to ignore the brutality of white racist terrorism, we have a regime who passed a law to cut health care and the social safety net from millions of Americans (when coal miners have black lung disease who need health care), and a regime who wants birthright citizenship to be banned. As this regime promotes our taxpayer funds to build Florida's Alligator Alcatraz, we salute the many protesters who don't desire genocide, hatred, poor scapegoating, and imperialism. The Trump regime sacrilegiously hide behind religion as an excuse to be the most anti-environmental administration in American history by gutting legitimate anti-pollution safety rules (including pro-Trump Senators desiring to remove the limits on the seven deadly poisons that were banned over 55 years ago) which can costs thousands of American lives to be lost. When I saw Triple H shake the hand of Donald Trump recently, that didn't shock me as Educational Secretary Linda McMahon has a notorious reactionary agenda involving educational services. McMahon has no extensive educational experience. There is a war on dissent by the Trump administration when it tries to intimidate universities, TV corporations, and regular people who oppose his views. People have the First Amendment right to disagree with Donald Trump and his administration. We see the big picture. Trump is doing this to promote the anti-democratic accelerationist agenda to make people revert back to a medieval, oligarchical system that the one percent has advocated covertly and overtly for centuries. The National Guard occupation of Washington, D.C. is not a long term way to reduce crime as you can't permanently militarize your way to reduce crime. Reducing crimes requires addressing the roots of poverty, going out to build institutions to help those with mental health issues, dealing with gun violence, growing anti-violence intervention programs, seeking fair treatment, and enforce laws fairly to handle criminals.

There are a lot of heroes in the history of Texas. One person was Barbara Jordan who wasn't just a U.S. House of Representative Congressional leader. She was a lawyer and civil rights activist who fought for the defense of the rights of the people. She was the first southern African American woman elected to the U.S. House of Representatives. She was in the House from 1973 to 1979. She was a member of the Texas Senate from 1967 to 1973. She earned her BA from Texas Southern University and a LLB from Boston University. She gave a powerful, eloquent speech to condemn the corrupt action of then President Richard Nixon during the impeachment hearings. She promoted Texas' first minimum wage law and fund programs to fight hate crimes. Juanita Craft was a civil rights leader and politician in Texas who was a member of the Dallas City Council in Texas. She worked in the Dallas NAACP to fight against Jim Crow apartheid. She protested discrimination throughout her life. Julia Catherine Thomas Hester was a teacher and community activist in Houston. She worked in Houston's Fifth Ward to save lives. She and her husband were active in Payne Chapel African Methodists Episcopal Church in Houston. Beulah Ann Shepard had a long career of political activism and community service. Shepard worked in Houston to allow the existence of a swimming pool, a library, better roads, parks, and infrastructure improvements for the underserved community. She was a member of Missionary Baptist Church.

Bill Pickett was born and raised in Texas. He was born and raised in Texas, and he was a cowboy and rodeo performer. In 1972, he was the first African American man to be inducted into the National Rodeo Hall of Fame. Later in 1989, Pickett was inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame. He was an actor too. He loved his wife, Maggie Turner, and the couple had nine children. He invented bulldogging or the skill of grabbing cattle by the horns and wrestling them to the ground. He was very popular among his peers and fans. There are more Texas heroes like Holly Hogrobrooks, Christine Abel Nix, Jasmine Crockett, and other people.

I found out that my 5th cousin is Corliss Yvonne Artis who was born in August 16, 1964, being a younger Baby Boomer. She is a descendant of my 1st cousin Indiana Bozeman Crocker (1831-1896). The parents of Corliss Yvonne Artis are George Washington Artis (1925-1994) and Julia Mae Newsome (1929-2005). She was married to Robert Leslie Montgomery (b. 1962) on February 17, 1988, at Chesterfield, Virginia (which is close to Richmond or the capital of my state of Virginia). The couple ended their marriage on April 2, 1997 at Chesterfield, Virginia. Corliss Yvonne Artis had a son with Ronald Thompson named Darius Carol Artis (1990-2014). Darius Carol Artis was 24 when he passed away in Richmond, Virginia. His brothers are Ronald and Cosby Burton. His son is Josiah Artis Lloyd, and his girlfriend is Shaquila Davis. The aunts of my 6th cousin Darius Carol Artis are Sophia Artis-Gee (Brock), Frances Reed (Jimmy), Hadiyah Ahmad (Nadir), Veronica Clifford (Dale), Rose Gupton (Bobby), Doris Reiseg (Greg), Vera Artis, and Joann Carter. His uncle is Larry Artis (Margie), and his great aunts are Mary Freeman and Margie Artis. His godmother is Maria Bacus. His friends are Germaine Campbell and Fred Boatwright. His many cousins include Askia Ahmad. The sister of Corliess Yvonne Artis, Frances Artis (b. 1948) married Jimmy R. Reed, and their daughters are my distant cousins Kimberly Reed and Kelly Reed. Both Kimberly and Kelly are twins born in June 1984. Frances Reed's son is Galen Faison.

'Pushing A White Supremacy Agenda': Jasmine Crockett Calls Out The GOP On Their Glaring Racism During Interview | Watch.

'Pushing A White Supremacy Agenda': Jasmine Crockett Calls Out The GOP On Their Glaring Racism During Interview | Watch

Jasmine Crockett being called a racist slur.

Conservative TV host crashes Jasmine Crockett town hall to call Democrat a ‘fake ghetto hoodrat’

News on Friday.

People are opposing tyranny in America. California Governor Newsom gave a speech at the Japanese American National Museum to promote its redistricting campaign in California in response to Texas's use of unfair redistricting policies. There were National Guard troops near Newsom to try to intimidate him, but the Governor of California said that he would not be intimidated. We have a constitutional crisis in American society. When you have Trump unilaterally using the military to occupy the U.S. Capitol of Washington, D.C., promoting historical revisionism against American museums, going out to dehumanize immigrants who are undocumented in vulgar terms, and claiming morality but cursing irrationally all of the time, then we have a problem in America. Trump lives in hypocrisy. He claims to support safety, but he has pardoned the January 6th terrorist insurrectionists who assaulted and cursed out the police at the U.S. Capitol building. Trump claims to want peace but supports Netanyahu's war crimes and genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza. Trump claims to believe in Jesus Christ, but he publicly admitted that he doesn't ask God for forgiveness. So, this is real. We warned people for years that if Trump were re-elected, he would try to usurp power, and the Supreme Court was wrong to grant him almost unlimited immunity for crimes. We must exercise our vigilance to stand up for freedom and justice for all.

There is a leaked document about Russia's future intentions. The leaked documents via the Black Moon Group mentioned that Russian war machine firms are training Chinese troops. This could be used for a future possible amphibious assault against Taiwan. The Russians are teaching the PLA on sea borne tanks to storm beaches, airborne armor drops, encrypted battlefield networks, and combat repair protocols. The leaked contracts show Russia's state arms dealer of Rosoboroneksport tasking major defense firms to train China. These Russian systems product amphibious vehicles and light banks. Taiwan produces 92 percent of advanced chips (TSMC), and Ukraine is the number one supplier of neon gas for chip production before the war and other chip making materials. The Russia/China alliance is more than about political power. It is about desiring to control economic resources of the world.

Andrea Velez is a U.S. citizen. She was detained by ICE in Los Angeles, California, in June 2025 while on her way to work. She wasn't given water for 24 hours. She worked as a production coordinator for a shoe company. She saw masked men and slammed her to the floor. She asked the person who arrested to show a badge or show a warrant. She went to a detention center in Downtown Los Angeles. She did nothing wrong and showed them her license, ID, and Kaiser card. The ICE agents still didn't believe her. She was released 2 days later, and her case was closed without prejudice or closed temporarily. The actions against Andrea Velez are obviously wrong and xenophobic, plus racist. Now, with more Americans opposing Trump's tariff policies, we know that if nothing is done, then the economy could get worse. Recently, Texas Senators walked out of the chamber to refuse to vote on gerrymandering. Trump claims that Russia always wins wars when Russia lost the Crimean War, lost the Russo-Japanese War, and lost the Afghanistan war.

Recently, Danielle Spencer passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2025. She was a person with a lot of personality and heart. She was more than an actress who played roles in some of the most iconic black shows ever, being What's Happening! and What's Happening Now! She had a gift to care for animals, and that is why she was a professional veterinarian. She was beloved by her family and peers. I remembered her being open and honest about her talents. She passed away at the age of 60 years. She transitioned at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. Richmond is in Central Virginia where many of my cousins and aunts live at in real life. She was fighting cancer at the time. Many of our legends are passing away. This reality makes us aware that life is precious and highly valuable. We have to care for people, despite our imperfections. We improve our lives and be better people by showing compassion and empathy to fellow human beings. Many of the unsung strangers in the road of life can bless us in innumerable ways too.

Rest in Power Sister Danielle Spencer.

There are more protests in Washington, D.C., over the military takeover of D.C. by Trump. Many D.C residents are protesting in the streets at night. For years, Trump wanted to exploit the military to promote authoritarianism. There is a massive decline in crime in Washington, D.C. Trump wants to permanently keep 600 National Guard troops on standby to deploy into any American city facing protests. That is fascism, as the people of America have the right to protest. Trump has revoked Biden's executive order cracking down on anti-competitive corporate practices. That means that Big Tech, Ag, Pharma, and airline monopolies can have more power to price-gouge and rip you off. While this is going on, there are still high prices involving food and housing. Now, Social Security turns 90 years old today. It is one major part of FDR's New Deal that kept millions of people out of poverty every year. Now, the Trump regime is cutting the SSA workforce, crashing its website, increasing wait times, and replacing humans with AI chatbots. With more prices for essential school supplies, we are in favor of economic justice, not far-right Trumpism.

Trump's militarized takeover in Washington, D.C.

Today, we have a new era of the Trump regime. Many people considered us extreme for calling Trump a fascist, but we have been proven right once again. Trump and his allies promoted the lie that the 2020 election was stolen. They organized a group of anti-Semites, racists, Neo-Nazis, and far right extremists to not only show their hate speech. They invaded the U.S. Capitol on January 6th, 2021 in the realm of an terrorist insurrection against the American government. It was an attempted coup d'etat. Now, this far right movement has their coup d'etat by January 20, 2025 via getting rid of people on voting rolls, passing voter suppression laws, and using trolls in trying to intimidate people who disagree with the MAGA cult. Today, Trump wants the federal government to occupy the American city of Washington, D.C. using federal law enforcement (including the National Guard) when the crime rate in Washington, D.C. has declined a lot. Trump is the same male who says that he is in favor of "law and order," but he has pardoned January 6th criminals who assaulted the police, used racist slurs, and waved Neo-Nazi and Confederate flags on Capitol grounds (for the first time in American history). Therefore, we are witnessing a new era of American history when fascism is on the march with innocent federal workers fired, legitimate environmental protections gone, black history being bashed, and bigotry promoted by many MAGA followers. Trump wants to consolidate power, make the executive branch "an unitary branch," use overt racist language, and desire complete control over America (all mentioned in Project 2025). We don't need some police state in Washington, D.C. Trump also wants homeless people to be gone from the streets by either going to a facility, pay a fine, or go to jail in criminalizing homelessness. We want freedom and justice for all people. We should always oppose fascism completely.

There are many protesters who are against the federal National Guard takeover of Washington, D.C. I'm not shocked that Joe Scarborough agree with many of this fascist policy as he is no progressive. He defends Truman using atomic weapons on Nagasaki and Hiroshima which are overt war crimes against humanity. It is not right for a new redistricting plan in Texas when a census already happened in Texas. Trump is using power grabs to make sure that the House stays Republican and to make sure that progressive policies end in American society. The GOP is trying to roll back Obamacare using gradual, slick means. For example, the budget bill can cut people off health resulting in higher premiums. Also, we know that Republicans want to end automatic re enrollment that will increase healthcare costs for years. The GOP wants low income people to pay more, and now some insurance companies won't offer ACA coverage next year like Aetna. The future higher health care premiums after the federal premium subsides expire by the end of 2025 will cause health care chaos in America. Trump voters voted for this evil. It is evil.

One major propaganda engine of the Trump administration is Prager U. Prager U is so blatantly wrong and far right that they believe that climate change isn't real and the evils of slavery were exaggerated. Prager U glorified Christopher Columbus when he was a slave owning terrorist who (and his allies) harmed Native Americans in graphic terms that I can't describe here. Prager U glorify George Washington and Thomas Jefferson as "men of virtue" but omit that both men owned slaves and never freed a slave when they were alive. Jefferson explicitly believed in the myth of black intellectual inferiority, and a black man named Benjamin Banneker (who was a mathematician, scholar, and architect) wrote a note to Jefferson to refute his white racist lies. Prager U is very popular among the Republican crowd. Prager U even denies voter suppression, and another problem is that Prager U is trying to brainwash kids to accept their historical revisionist nonsense. Benjamin Netanyahu praised Prager U to justify his actions in Gaza. They have a $25 billion budget.

There is the recent story of 6 journalists being killed by Israeli forces. This comes after Netanyahu desires to seize Gaza City to "complete the job." This is a blatantly strategy of annexation by Netanyahu as he wants to maintain power as long as possible in Israel. The reason is that he faces many financial scandals. These journalists were people who wanted to report on the story. Such murder and other events easily constitute overt war crimes. Netanyahu wants to control the Gaza City without Palestinian independence or autonomy. This does nothing to help the Israeli hostage or the Palestinian people. We recognize that Hamas is a wicked, terrorist organization who has murdered innocent Israelis on October 7th. Hamas's actions have no justification. Yet, what is going on is Gaza also have no justification from bombing churches, killing journalists, and settlers harming Palestinians in the West Bank. The journalists who were killed in Gaza were killed by an Israeli airstrike. Only a nihilistic person would justify this act. There is no solution except for this war to end now, the Israeli hostages returned home, and true independence for the Palestinian people. Far minded Israelis and Palestinians deserve liberty, equality, and justice.

There are a lot of news in the world. There is a planned Trump and Putin meeting in Alaska. While Putin continues his illegal invasion in Ukraine, many people in Donetsk and other places in Ukraine have been murdered unjustly. This comes after Trump desires Putin to stop the bombing, but he even desires Ukraine to give up some of its land as an excuse to stop the fighting. Trump is also supportive of the dictator and xenophobe Viktor Orban of Hungary. Orban desires a Russian victory in Ukraine. Ironically, Orban is on tape saying that Russians can't even beat Ukraine. Also, Orban has been the EU's poorest and one of its most corrupt countries. The good news is that Russia has less Ukranian territory now than three years ago. Putin wants Trump to intervene in causing Putin to gain more territory. Putin's goals are clear. He wants influence and power over Eastern Europe, regardless if those nations in Eastern Europe is a NATO country or not. At the end of the day, as Zelenskyy has said, Ukraine should never be dominated by occupiers.

Viola Davis reached into unparalleled heights of influence and popularity in the entertainment world by the 2010s. In February 2014, Viola Davis was cast in Peter Nowalk's pilot How to Get Away With Murder show. It was executive produced by Shonda Rhinda for her ShondaLand production company. Viola Davis was the lead character of the show. Like many shows of this latter day generation, it's provocative, controversial, and filled with intrigue. Her character is Annalise Keating, who is a strong-minded defense attorney and professor. She becomes entangled in a murder plot with her students. Her character is mixture of contradiction and talent. Her character is mixed of brilliance and imperfections. Her character has doubt and courage. She is desperate for love, approval, but she is willing to stand up for herself when necessary. The series started officially in September 2014. By September 2015, Viola Davis became the first African-American to win the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role on How to Get Away with Murder. She received a second Primetime Emmy Award nomination for the role in 2016. Davis also won two Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series in 2014 and 2015. She received nominations from the Golden Globe Awards for Best Actress – Television Series Drama and Critics' Choice Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series for her performance on the show.

By 2015, Davis was in the Michael Mann directed thriller film Blackhat that had Chris Hemsworth. Davis was the executive producer of the crime drama film Lila & Eve, starring herself and Jennifer Lopez in titular roles. In 2016, Davis starred in the courtroom drama Custody, on which she also served as an executive producer, and played Amanda Waller in the film Suicide Squad, an adaptation of a DC Comics series of the same name. In 2016, Davis reprised her role as Rose Maxson for the film adaptation of Fences directed by and starring Denzel Washington. Her performance garnered critical acclaim and she received her third Academy Award nomination, making her the first black actress in history to achieve this feat. She subsequently went on to win the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress, the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role, and the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. In 2017, Davis was presented with the 2,597th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame by her Doubt co-star and friend Meryl Streep. While accepting the honor, Davis said: "It's like my life flashing before my eyes, and all I can say is, God has blessed my life in abundance." Davis was also listed among and a featured cover star of Time magazine's "100 Most Influential People" List for the second time, her first being in 2012. Streep penned the article in the magazine, referring to Davis as having "carved a place for herself on the Mount Rushmore of the 21st century", commenting that "her gifts as an artist are unassailable, undeniable, deep and rich and true. But her importance in the culture – her ability to identify it, her willingness to speak about it and take on responsibility for it – is what marks her for greatness." In March 2017, Davis was awarded the Artist of the Year Award at Harvard University. Also in 2017, Davis announced that she would write the sequel to the classic picture book Corduroy, titled Corduroy Takes a Bow. In a press release, Davis stated that "Corduroy has always held a special place in my life, first as a child paging through it, and then again with my daughter, introducing her to the adventures of that adorable teddy bear." The book was published by Penguin Random House later in 2018.

In 2018, Viola Daivs debut Two-Sides. That was a documentary series exploring police brutality towards the African American community. It debuted on TV One, running through till mid-February. Davis also starred alongside fellow Shondaland costar Kerry Washington for a special two-hour crossover episode of How to Get Away with Murder and Scandal, aptly titled How to Get Away with Scandal. Davis's guest appearance garnered her a fourth Emmy Award nomination, and her first for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series. That same year, Davis starred in the Steve McQueen heist thriller Widows alongside Cynthia Erivo, Elizabeth Debicki, Michelle Rodriguez, and Liam Neeson. The film was an adaptation of the popular 1983 British miniseries. She received critical acclaim, with film critic Eric Kohn of IndieWire writing, that the film "largely belongs to Davis...the actress has never been more commanding." She received her second British Academy Film Award nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance. In 2020, Davis was the executive producer and was in the documentary Giving Voice. It was about following students who entered the August Wilson monologue competition for a chance to compete on Broadway. In 2020, she starred alongside Chadwick Boseman (in his final onscreen performance) as the titular character in the biographical drama Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, based on the 1982 play of the same name and directed by George C. Wolfe. She received critical acclaim and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for her performance, in addition to her sixth Golden Globe Award nomination and her second Academy Award nomination for Best Actress, her fourth nomination overall. With that nomination, she became the most-nominated black actress in the history of the Academy Awards, as well as the first black actress to have been nominated for Best Actress more than once. She also appeared on the cover of the July/August 2020 issue of Vanity Fair, photographed by Dario Calmese.

In 2021, Davis reprised her role as Amanda Waller in the superhero film The Suicide Squad. Also in 2021, she appeared alongside Sandra Bullock in the drama film The Unforgivable, directed by Nora Fingscheidt. Davis appeared uncredited as Amanda Waller in two episodes, "A Whole New Whirled" and "It's Cow or Never", in season 1 of the show Peacemaker, a spin-off of The Suicide Squad, and in the film, Black Adam. Davis executive produced and played former First Lady Michelle Obama in The First Lady, a Showtime drama series. It premiered in April 2022. After receiving criticism on social media for her portrayal, Davis responded by calling the disapproval "incredibly hurtful" and saying "it is my job as a leader to make bold choices." In 2022, Davis starred in The Woman King, inspired by true events that took place within The Kingdom of Dahomey. The film tells the story of Nanisca, the general of an all-female military unit, played by Davis, and her daughter Nawi, played by Thuso Mbedu. Davis was the narrator at Disney's Candlelight Processional at Disneyland in 2022. In August 2022, it was reported that Davis was cast as Head Gamemaker Dr. Volumnia Gaul in the prequel to The Hunger Games film series, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. In March 2024, to commemorate the 65th anniversary of International Women's Day, Davis was one of a number of the women celebrities that had their likeness turned into Barbie dolls. Also in March, Davis voiced the Chameleon, who was the main antagonist of Kung Fu Panda 4, the fourth installment in the eponymous franchise. In December 2024, Davis reprised her role as Amanda Waller in the animated Max TV series Creature Commandos. In 2025, Davis starred in G20, an action thriller in which she plays the U.S. President.

The history of Texas from 1876 to 1899 saw massive racism and oppression against black people. Still, the freedmen created educational systems, organized new churches and fraternal organizations, entered politics, and won local offices. By the 1890s, more than 100,000 blacks were voting in state elections. In 1896 and 1898, Republican Robert B. Hawley was elected to Congress from the state by a plurality, when most white voters split between the Democratic and Populist parties. Democrats were determined to end competition by Republicans and Populists, and reviewed what other Southern states were doing to disenfranchise blacks and poor whites. Mississippi's new constitution of 1890 had survived a Supreme Court case, although in practice it was highly discriminatory against freedmen. There were land politics during this time too. There was the federal Morill Act, and then Texas sold public lands to gain funds to invest in higher education. In 1876, the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas opened, and seven years later the University of Texas at Austin began conducting classes. There were more land policies that were drafted during the time of Governor John Ireland. Now, people in Texas could accumulate land like forming cattle ranches. Many ranchers ran barbed wire around public lands, to protect their access to water and free grazing. This caused many range wars. Governor Lawrence Sullivan Ross guided the Texas Legislature to reform the land use policies. The railroads grown in Texas by the 1880s. That ended the famous cattle drives and allowed ranchers to market their cattle after a short drive, and farmers move their cotton to market cheaply. They made Dallas and other cities the centers of commercial activity. Ft. Worth became the gateway to the west, via the Fort Worth and Denver Railway. However the passenger trains were often the targets of armed gangs.

Governor Lawrence Sullivan Ross had to personally intervene to resolve the Jaybird-Woodpecker War (1888–1889) among factions of Democrats in Fort Bend County; at bottom, it was a racial conflict. The majority population was black by a large margin, and had been electing county officers for 20 years. But, the white elite Democrats wanted their own people in power. Conflict became violent and the Jaybirds ordered several black people out of town. Tensions increased and a total of seven people were killed. In the fall of 1889, the Democratic Party created "white-only pre-primary elections," which in practice were the only competitive contests in the county, and thus disenfranchised the black human beings. This situation lasted until the U.S. Supreme Court ruling in Terry v. Adams (1953) declared it unconstitutional in the last of the white primary cases. Under Jim Hogg, the state turned its attention toward corporations violating the state monopoly laws. In 1894, Texas filed a lawsuit against John D. Rockefeller's Standard Oil Company and its Texas subsidiary, the Waters-Pierce Oil Company of Missouri. Hogg and his attorney-general argued that the companies were engaged in rebates, price fixing, consolidation, and other tactics prohibited by the state's 1889 antitrust act. The investigation resulted in a number of indictments, including one for Rockefeller. Hogg requested that Rockefeller be extradited from New York, but the New York governor refused, as Rockefeller had not fled from Texas. Rockefeller was never tried, but other employees of the company were found guilty.

By September 8, 1900, there was the Hurricane that destroyed Galveston or Texas's fourth largest city during that time. It had a 20 ft. storm surge. Water covered the whole island, killing between 6,000 and 8,000 people, destroying 3,500 homes as well as the railroad causeway and wagon bridge that connected the island to the mainland. To help rebuild their city, citizens implemented a reformed government featuring a five-man city commission. Galveston was the first city to implement a city commission government, and its plan was adopted by 500 other small cities across the United States. In the aftermath of the Galveston disaster, action proceeded on building the Houston Ship Channel to create a more protected inland port. Houston quickly grew once the Channel was completed, and rapidly became the primary port in Texas. Railroads were constructed in a radial pattern to link Houston with other major cities such as Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Austin.

By 1900, the Dallas population reached 38,000 as banking and insurance became major activities in the increasingly white-collar city, which was now the world's leading cotton center. It was also the world's center of harness making and leather goods. Businessmen took control of civic affairs; with little municipal patronage, there was only a small role for the Democratic Party to play. The predominantly black Republican Party was essentially closed out of politics by the disenfranchisement in 1901 of most blacks through imposition of a poll tax (see below). The Democrats in 1901 wanted to end the political power of Republicans, Populists, and black people. So, the Democratic dominated state legislature passed a poll tax as a requirement for voting.  Given the economic difficulties of the times, the poll tax caused participation by African Americans, poor whites, and Mexican Americans to drop sharply, effectively disenfranchising more than one-third of the population of the state. The Democrats used a white primary to harm the rights of minorities. . By 1906, the number of black voters had dropped from more than 100,000 in the 1890s to 5,000. The state also passed a law for white primaries. In 1896, 86.6% of all voters in Texas voted in the presidential election; following disenfranchisement, voter turnout in 1904 was 29.2% and in 1920 was 21.6%.

When the Supreme Court ruled in 1923 that white primaries established by political parties were unconstitutional, in 1927 the Texas state legislature passed a bill that authorized political parties to establish their internal practices. The Democratic Party reinstated the white primary. That law survived until 1944 before another Supreme Court case ruled that it was unconstitutional. After 1944, the NAACP and other organizations worked to register black voters and participation increased. But the major disenfranchisement continued until passage in the mid-1960s of civil rights legislation, including the Voting Rights Act of 1965, to provide for federal oversight in areas in which historically minorities did not vote in expected numbers based on population. Texas reached 4 million population in 1910, making it the fifth largest state, and continued to grow. It remained primarily rural, based on cotton farms and ranches, with 30% living in numerous villages and towns and a few cities. Later, the populations of Galveston, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, El Paso grew their populations, had cars, and increased their infrastructure. In 1911 an extremely bloody decade-long civil war broke out in Mexico. Hundreds of thousands of refugees fled to Texas, raising the Hispanic population from 72,000 in 1900 to 250,000 in 1920. The number reached 700,000 in 1930, 1,400,000 in 1960, and 4 million in 1990. The black population grew in numbers but declined as a proportion. There were massive lynchings in Texas too.  Of the 468 lynching victims in the state between 1885, the peak, and the last episode in 1942, 339 were black, 77 white, 53 Hispanic, and 1 Native American. There was improved law enforcement after 1920 meant the violence rapidly died out, but segregation only ended in 1964.

By the early to mid 1900s, there were oil industries growing, high skyscrapers, and then the Great Depression happened. The economy, which had experienced significant recovery since the Civil War, was dealt a double blow by the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl. After the Stock Market Crash of 1929, the economy suffered significant reversals. Thousands of city workers became unemployed, many of whom depended on federal relief programs such as FERA, WPA and CCC. Thousands of unemployed Mexican citizens received one-way bus tickets to their home villages in Mexico. The Dust Bowl happened form 1934 to 1939. Many people left Texas. Many of the New Deal helped some people, and some minorities didn't benefit from the New Deal because of discriminatory reasons. Federal money came into Texas during the World War II era. Texas saw the growth of military bases, factors, Army hospitals, and POW detention camps. There were tons of military bases in Texas from Fort Sam Houston to Camp Mabry.  People of many races participated in WWII form Texas to fight fascism overseas. Tens of thousands of new migrants streamed in from rural areas, straining the city's housing supply and the city's ability to provide local transit and schools. For the first time, high-paying jobs went to large numbers of women, black people and Hispanic people. The city's African-American community, emboldened by their newfound prosperity, increased its agitation for civil rights; they backed and funded the legal case of Smith v. Allwright (1944), in which the Supreme Court ruled against the latest version of the white primary in support of voting rights. Jim Crow still existed including the Texas drought from 1949 to 1957. Because of the drought, a system of water conservation existed via the Texas Water Development Board form 1957. There was more of an access to groundwater, lakes, and rivers. By the early 1960s, times would change. More black civil rights leaders fought for their human rights including other ethnic groups like Latino Americans.

There are many types of hockey in the world. Field hockey is played on natural grass, gravel, or sand based or water based artificial turf. It is played with a small hard ball that is about 2.9 inches in diameter. It is popular among men and women from the Americas, Europe, Asia New Zealand, South Africa, and Argentina. Games can be played between single sex sides or mixed sex sides. The governing body is the 126-member International Hockey Federation (FIH). Men's field hockey has been played at every Summer Olympic Games since 1908 except for 1912 and 1924, while women's field hockey has been played at the Summer Olympic Games since 1980. Modern field hockey sticks are constructed of a composite of wood, glass fiber or carbon fiber (sometimes both) and are J-shaped, with a curved hook at the playing end, a flat surface on the playing side and a curved surface on the rear side. All sticks are right-handed – left-handed sticks are not permitted. Indoor hockey is a type of indoor field hockey. Indoor hockey is played in a smaller area and between smaller teams than field hockey. The sidelines are replaced by solid barriers from which the ball rebounds and remains in play. Bandy is played with a ball on a football pitch-sized ice arena (bandy rink), typically outdoors, and with many rules similar to association football. It is played professionally in Russia and Sweden. The sport is recognized by the IOC, including the variety rink bandy. Its international governing body is the Federation of International Bandy. Bandy has its roots in England in the 19th century, was originally called "hockey on the ice." A similar Russian sport can also be seen as a predecessor and in Russia, bandy is sometimes called "Russian hockey." Bandy World Championships have been played since 1957 and Women's Bandy World Championships since 2004. There are national club championships in many countries and the top clubs in the world play in the Bandy World Cup every year. Sledge hockey, a variant of ice hockey designed for players with physical disabilities, was created in the 1960s and has since been renamed, "Para-ice hockey." There is roller hockey and inline hocky.  There is street hockey, air hockey, beach hockey found in Southern California beaches, ball hockey, box hockey, broomball, deck hockey, floor hockey, unicycle hockey, and other hockey related sports.

Many people still don't know that black people have been involved in the history of country since the genre's inception. Back in the day, many of us never heard of anyone black playing country music except for Charlie Pride and Darius Rucker (from the group Hootie and the Blowfish). Yet, there were tons of black artists playing country music for a long time. The vocalist and historian Queen Esther spoke her words in TED Talk to document this history. Country music has always been part of many cultures including black culture. We know that the blues and jazz are part of American culture. We know that West African music traditions influence the music today in our time. Our ancestors came from Western and Central Africa mostly. The African plants, fruits, vegetables, and music spread globally including the Americas. The banjo is a key part of the country music being a powerful instrument. The banjo came from Africa. The banjo has been called the banjar, bangie, banjer, and banza. It came to America by the 17th century. Many black musicians taught early country music artists too. Tee Tot Payne was a guitarist and street performer form Louisiana. He was a teacher to Hank Williams, teaching him passing chords and how to write sounds. Musician Lesley Riddle helped the Carter family. Fiddler and guitarist Arnold Shultz – the son of a former slave, from a family of musicians and performers – played a pivotal role in the life of Bill Monroe, the father of bluegrass. He gave him his first gig, introduced him to the blues and taught him a Kentucky “thumb style” guitar technique that would make musician Chet Atkins famous. Bill Monroe said that Arnold Shultz was his best friend, and always spoke of him fondly. DeFord Bailey was the first black artist to perform at the Grand Ole Opry back in 1927, making history. Tina Turner played a country song before too which was DeFord Bailey's Pan American Blues (from 1941). In our modern times, we have Mickey Guyton who loves country music and has toured the world to celebrate life and the black contributions in country music in full detail. Cowboy Troy came after Darius Rucker to have a country and even hip hop type of sound too. Linda Martell was a black woman who was an innovator of country music during the 1970s. There are artists like Stoney Edwards, Howdy Glenn, The Pointer Sisters (yes, they did country music along with R&B music), Frankie Staton, Aaron Neville, Cleve Francis, Jake Blount, Kane Brown, Rhiannon Giddens, Rissi Palmer, Shaboozey, Tanner Adell, Chapel Hart, Willie Jones, Miko Marks, Beyonce, Don Flemons, Adia Victoria, Valerie June, Julie Williams, Amythyst Kiah, Allison Russell, Breeland, Reyna Roberts, Alice Randall, Brittney Spencer, Blanco Brown, and other human beings who made country music then and now. Many younger people know about the country music duo War and Treaty.

The issues in Haiti are very real. Haiti was once unjustly conquered by France. Haiti was France's richest colony and tons of black Haitians were enslaved. Black people in Haiti fought back for their independence, and Haiti was a Republic in 1804. After 1804, the West, including France wanted revenge against Haiti. A French spy named Medina was arrested by Henri Christophe in 1817. On Madina were instructions from France trying to re-enslave Haiti. Later, France wanted 150 million gold francs and recue by 50 percent tariffs on all French imports.

This was 10 times the Haitian government. France wanted more like taking a loan from a French bank. Haitian President Boyer was there in that time. This tactic (of France using the lie that they are owe reparations to steal wealth from Haiti) from France harmed the Haitian economy. There were revolts in 1842. Boyer left office. Haiti was imposed unjust tax burdens by Western powers. There were many governments and resources went to debt service. The National Bank of Haiti was formed in 1880 being controlled by France. Wealth was stolen by France and sent to France from Haiti. America used the U.S. Marines to occupy Haiti in 1914. America left after 9 months.

Wealth in Haiti was stolen by the National City Bank of New York. America occupied Haiti until 1934. Papa Doc was a dictator in Haiti. Many people left Haiti to America and other places to escape the rule of Papa Doc. Later, President Aristide rose up. He promoted the end of the Duvalier dictatorship in 1986 as Aristide was more democratic. Then, Aristide was a victim of an army led coup d'etat, and Aristide was forced into exile. Aristide came back to form a truth and reconciliation commission, demobilized the Haitian army, and caused a democratic transition of power in Haiti. Haiti improved from 1994 to 2000. Many in the international community blocked a 54-million-dollar loan in 1998 to help Haiti's water system. Haiti deserves its reparations. After Aristide called for reparations, a coup d'etat happened by February 2004. Aristide came back to Haiti. The 2010 Earthquake changed everything with people desiring food prices stabilization by 2009. After Michel Martelly and Moise were in power, there was the Ariel Henry Presidency. There was a strong 2021 Earthquake. Since 2022 (On July 7, 2022 massive clashes between two rival gangs began in Cité Soleil, an impoverished and densely populated neighborhood of Port-au-Prince), multiple gangs have a civil war in Haiti that continues to this day. Prime Minister Ariel Henry resigned by March 2024. By 2024, Alix Didier Fils-Aime was the Prime Minister of Haiti. Now, we have Fritz Alphone Jean (from the Transistional Presidential Council or CPT) being the current President of Haiti's CPT. Issues in Haiti relate to the economy, gang violence, poverty, United Nations occupation's legacy, and other issues.
