There is debate on whether the attack on the Kremlin is done by Ukraine or Putin. One thing is clear that the attack on the Kremlin represents a new, dangerous phase of the war in Ukraine. On Wednesday, two drones exploded over the Kremlin in Moscow. This is an unprecedented act. That is the official residence of the President of the Russian Federation. I oppose the Russian unjust invasion of Ukraine. Yet, it is silly for anyone to attack the Kremlin building for many reasons. One is that it's an overt provocation, such an action only magnifies tensions, and has no long-term benefit in any military fashion. Russia claimed that this attack is an attempted assassination attempt on Putin. Ukraine's President deny that they were involved in the strike. Time will tell what the truth is as this is a recent event. Recently leaked Pentagon documents showed that Ukraine is in a far worse military position than the public has been led to believe. You have extremists on one side praising Putin as a superhero which is a lie. Putin is a terrorist and a war criminal involved in allowing the Russian military's killing of civilian men, women, and children in Ukraine. You have extremists on the other side who are hawkish to the extreme in desiring Russia to be some Western puppet state which I obviously disagree with. Blinken saying that they will leave up to Ukraine to decide how it's going to defend itself is telling as we want this war to end without unnecessary provocations in the Kremlin. We want freedom for Ukraine but not at the expense of unnecessary military actions that only seek to grow tensions. Ukraine must be free from Russian invasion as a prerequisite for a true peace settlement in that region.
I'm not shocked at Tucker Carlson's racist texts. The New York Times reported that the texts contributed to how he was fired. Carlson mentioned that "It's not how white men fight." He is saying overtly that non-white people fight in a dysfunctional, cowardly fashion which is a racist stereotype that Carlson disgracefully embraced. Tucker on FOX News denied that white racists were part of the January 6th insurrection, he promoted the replacement theory lie, and he went out of his way to disrespect progressive people and progressive views. So, we know who he is. He also called women misogynistic slurs. For a long time, FOX News has promoted and harbored racists, xenophobes, sexists, and far-right extremists from Bill O'Reilly to Glen Beck (who disrespected Hurricane Katrina victims). Propublica reported that Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas failed to report tuition payments to his grandnephew (who he raised). This was when Harlan took over the payment. This conflict of interest represents a huge scandal dealing with the Supreme Court's ethics. This is a serious ethical breach by Clarence Thomas. Thomas has experienced no subpoenas because the House is dominated by MAGA Republicans.
Some good news is that four Proud Boys terrorist members have been found guilty of seditious conspiracy. The jury convicted them in Washington, D.C. They wanted to try to forcibly prevent the peaceful transfer of power from Trump to Joe Biden after the 2020 election. This event of January 6th was the first time in American history when the peaceful transfer of power from President to President didn't haven't. There was a peaceful transfer of power even during the time prior to the Civil War. Enrique Tarrio (a self-hating person), Ethan Nordean, Joseph Biggs, and Zachary Rehl are the traitors convicted. Tarrio was the person who tore down a Black Lives Matter flag from a church in Washington, D.C. The Proud Boys are known for using violence against innocent people for years now. The Oath Keepers and the Proud Boys are terrorists who have a hatred of the diversity of a true democratic society.
The recent rant of Tekashi shows what a racist he is. In a way, self-hating members of the black community ought to realize that these racist non-black people don't like us black people. Tekashi is a person who exploited a minor in a sexual fashion, says he n word constantly, and was involved in many criminal actions. He said that like that the industry blackballs all rappers who are Latino. That isn't the case as tons of Latino DJs, rappers, etc. aren't blackballed from the Beatnuts, AZ (who is half Latino and half black), B-Real, etc. These musicians were not blackballed. They let their talent speak for themselves. What Tekashi's problem is that he is insecure about his own talent, so he wants to blame black people for issues. We, black people, are the mothers and fathers of the human race. We have gone out of our way to show compassion and empathy for other groups of people free of charge. We black human beings helped to establish a large part of the soul and the culture that many people benefit from. The irony is that Tekashi (who is a Latino) is not respected by many in the Latino community, and he disrespected Puerto Rican people too. Now, we live in a new generation and more black people are creating our own institutions in support of black people (and racists are mad). They can stay mad while we unapologetically support our Blackness 100 percent.
Some very sad news is that Tori Bowie passed away at the young age of 32 years old. I'm a fan of track and field, and I know who Tori Bowie is. Tori Bowie loved her family and was a champion in many events of track and field. In fact, she was one of the greatest track and field athletes of our generation. She won Olympic medals three times, and she was a 2-time world champion in track and field. Tori loved to present her light. She shined greatly in the 4 X 100m relay at the Rio Olympics in 2016. Her life started in the Deep South as black leaders are always found in the Deep South. She lived in Sandhill, Mississippi. Bowie was a three-time All-American at the University of Southern Mississippi. Bowie was a sprinter and long jumper. She represented Mississippi and America in general very well with her accomplishments. Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Mississippi native Brittney Reese gave their gracious condolences to her. Tori Bowie was a legend, and her life shows us the truth that making life count relates to the principles of honor, courage, family, growing culture, building institutions, and inspiring other human lives.
