The 2025 Government Shutdown.

One of the most racist and disgraceful actions of the Trump administration is how they are actually celebrating the perpetrators of the Wounded Knee Massacre. When people in my generation were up, we were always taught that the Wounded Knee Massacre was a war crime and a slaughter against Native American people in South Dakota. This was when 20 U.S. soldiers massacred hundreds of Lakota men, women, and children at Wounded Knee back in 1890. Now, War Secretary Pete Hegseth wants to give the criminals who killed men, women, and children Medals of Honor. This war crime was committed by the U.S. 7th Cavalry, killing up to 300 Lakota Sioux men, women, and children near Wounded Knee Creek. This has no justification at all period. Hegseth is celebrating war criminals, which is an affront to the heroic U.S. military leaders who defeated the Confederacy, defeated the Nazis, and did great work to build up society. This event came after many broken treaties with the Native Americans existed. This comes after Trump celebrated Andrew Jackson, who oppressed Native Americans, and the Trump team continues to aid the Israeli leader, Netanyahu, in his genocidal war against the Palestinians in Gaza.

Now, we have possibly more troop deployments to American cities, preparations for more mass layoffs of American federal workers, and more economic troubles in America. This is not only planned by the oligarchy. It’s supported by the MAGA cult which never criticizes Trump on any issue, except on Epstein, etc. Millions and billions of human lives hang in the balance when we must deal with a President who cares more for his ego than justice and equality for all people. Hegseth, as the Defense Secretary, wants combat troops to be the “highest male standard only,” which is sexist nonsense. Many qualified women in combat have saved lives for decades and centuries in American history. Sexist nonsense is not being against political correctness. It is about far-right rhetoric. Hegseth is the same person who wants to name military bases after Confederate traitors.

The government shutdown is here. Many people want to blame the Democrats alone, but that isn’t the case. The Republicans want to cut tax credits from the Affordable Care Act and passed a law that cut health care for millions of Americans. The goal of the Trump administration is clear. They desire to make the executive branch of government supreme over all the people, when the Constitution mentions that all three branches of government are coequal with checks and balances upon each other. For example, the legislative branch can veto a President’s law. The Court can nullify a law. The President can execute the laws, too. Trump believes in mass austerity in attacking regulations, legitimate jobs, and the social safety net to placate the oligarchy. That is why Trump told NBC News on Sunday that, “We are going to cut a lot of the people that…we’re able to cut on a permanent basis.” Rand Paul opposes the resolution in seeking greater cuts, and Murkowski opposes it for cutting too much. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania, as usual will vote for the austerity-based resolution.

Fear of legitimate dissent over Trump's policies has caused Trump to urge the DOJ to prosecute his political opponents. Some people believe that Comey may win his case. Also, we are aware that Trump once desired to abolish the Constitution if he didn't get his way. So, he is not representative of morality, ethics, or character. He wants to do as he pleases. Trump lied and said that Portland is a war zone and wants Antifa to be labeled a terrorist organization when Antifa is not an organized group. The City of Portland has filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration. Many people in Portland are peacefully disagreeing with ICE's mass detentions. These protesters are using their First Amendment rights. ICE has used tear gas at a nearby school to relocate after children fell ill. Trump wanting to use "full force" against civilians is a violation of Posse Comitatus, which bans the use of the military for domestic law enforcement. Stephen Miller, Trump's top aide, went too far by saying that the Democratic Party is not a political party but a domestic extremist organization. Miller hates passionate dissent against his xenophobic nonsense. Trump's cancellation of premium subsidies for middle-income families eligible to enroll in the Affordable Care Act shows his callous attitude. We disagree with fascism completely and endorse justice for all.

The Trump regime is trying to increase its military occupation of American cities. He desires to send 100 troops to Chicago. The Illinois Governor and the Chicago mayor have given speeches opposing this policy for various reasons. One is that they believe it is an unnecessary action by Trump to promote ICE using excessive conduct and racial profiling against the residents of Chicago. Recently, the Supreme Court was wrong for defending racial profiling being used by ICE in trying to detain people who "look a certain way." National Guard troops should not be in Chicago as Chicago is not experiencing a natural disaster or an emergency on a scale that merits the use of troops. We are aware of the corruption committed by many members of ICE. Trump wants to advance a military coup in Portland, and many political leaders in Portland have opposed the attempt to use the military to occupy Portland, Oregon. We know of the ICE agent pushing down a woman in New York City, causing her injuries. There is no excuse for any ICE agent to assault a woman at all. Trump hypocritically wants to stop $4 billion in foreign aid, but he wants to bail out the authoritarian leader and ally in Argentina with $20 billion. That is hypocrisy. Trump has made the Department of Labor to gut minimum wage law protections, propose drastic budget cuts to OSHA and workplace safety, etc.
