It's easy to prove that toxic dispersants in the Gulf region have harmed humans and animals (or wildlife). Many people living in the region have had their eyes burned and experienced dizziness. These are from airborn chemicals like methane. They come from the oil and the dispersants. Tracy Kuhns, the executive director of Louisiana Bayoukeeper, a group whose goal is "To engage and empower coastal communities for the purpose of promoting sustainable management of Coastal Louisiana's Bayou Country and its natural resources for the benefit of all citizens." Tracy, who is also a member of the Louisiana Shrimp Association. Tracy doesn't believe in using dispersants in fighting against the oil pollution in the region. Tracy exposes how Corexit 9500 and Corexit 9527. There has been BP using 1,400,000 to date and more in the oil. These chemicals want to dispere the crude oil. The poisons in the water can harm eye contact. It can cause headaches, throat irration, cardiovasculr damage, and other negative health impacts. The EPA's latest analysis of the dispersants released in the document "Comparative Toxicity of Eight Oil Dispersant Products on Two Gulf of Mexico Aquatic Test Species," Corexit 9500, at a concentration of 42 parts per million, killed 50 percent of mysid shrimp tested. Tracy said that 44 reports for exemption, BP has been issued to use dispersants. Many animals have been killed because of these toxic materials. Tracy said that Barataria Bay was full of oil and now it has bubbles. The fishing community is hurting over there as well. Tracy's passion for the Gulf and marine eco-systems it supports is always evident. "90 percent of the species in the Gulf of Mexico spend some part of their lives in the Louisiana estuaries," she adds, "BP is killing our hope of getting these restocked for the future." So, it's easy to see that any toxic material including Corexit should be banned form usage in the water supply of America, especially in the Gulf Coast.
On the economic front, some criticize the Obama, Dodd, and Frank bill for delays in curbing derivatives until 2022. Derivatives were the major factor in the economic crisis that we witness today. The Senate is about to above the bill. The President might sign it by next week. Some criticize it as not going far enough in trying to encorporate real Wall Street reform. The New England Republican clique of Olmpia Snow, Susan Collins, and Scott Brown support the bill. The more conservative Democrat Ben Nelson of Nebraska support the bill too. It issues some regulations and new bureaucracies. Some feel that the bill not ban the real causes of the crisis that came in 2008 in a high level. Many banks and hedge fund people speculated in the market with highly dangerous derivatives. The bill don't prvent car dealers from ripping off their customers in inflated financing costs. The bill doesn't stop foreclosures that have made nearly almost 4 million Americans into displaced people. there is no ban on the use of ARMs or the adjustable rate mortgages. ARMs are time bombs that are harming the lives of many millions of Americns. No caps are there on leverage banks that can be used in financial transactions. The bill impowers the FED with regulatory power instead of less. Wall Street is glad that this bill doesn't deal with derivatives. Senator Dorgan proposed an amendment to abolish the concept of banks that were too big to fail. His amendment was rejected. Senator Kaufman tried to limit the size of banks, but his amendment was deleted. Senator Whitehouse tried to limit interest rates on credit cards and predatory payday loans, or at least to allow states to regain their regulatory role in this area, but he was defeated. These measures are not extremist at all and they were still rejected. Senators McCain and Cantwell tried to restore the firewall found in the Glass Steagall Act of 1933-1999. This act separated commercial banks with FDIC insured desposits on the one hand from investment banking and stock jobbing on the other. The Act was passed by FDR. Nothing in the bill deals with CDOs or the collaterlized debt obligations. Senator Blanche Lincoln from Arkansas wanted to supporte the paragraph 716 of title VII of the bill. This was doen to attempt to ban trading in credit default swaps or derivatives by FDIC banks. CDOs harmed the banks of Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch, and Citibank. The credit defaul swaps caused AIG to be bankrupt and it costs the American people $182 billion and more. The bill has no Volcker rule either. The Volcker rule forbids banks from stepping in with capital infusions or other forms of support when their own funds fail. Even the principled Democrat Russ Feingold from Wisconsin voted against the bill. He believes that it doesn't go far enough in promote authentic financial reform. He says that the bill can't prevent another economic meltdown that even proponents of the bill admit. He voted against the Iraq war powers resolution in 2002, against the Patriot Act of 2001, and against the Wall Street bailout in October of 2008. He opposed Interstate Banking Act of 1994, which would have prevented the emergence of “too big to fail” by maintaining the sensible New Deal ban on commercial banks operating in more than one state. He also voted against the catastrophic Graham-Leach-Bliley Act of 1999, which opened the door to the derivatives bubble by completely deregulating these toxic instruments. He's a principled person. now, Wall Street is slick, but austerity programs might come into America. This can come if many Congressional seats are replaced in the Fall.
De-classified Vietnam era transcripts prove that many Senators knew that the 1964 Gulf of Tonkin incident was a staged false flag operation. These Senators feared that the truth behind the incidient being revealed to the public should cause reprisals from the "the big forces" that run the media and the Presidency. This is an interesting development. There are over 1,100 pages of previously classified Vietnam era transcripts being released this week. It was released by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee highlight. The releases are found in the year of 1968 and also document the skepticism over the pretext for entry into the Vietnam War. This is 4 years into the war. Lyndon B. Johnson had Foreign Relations Committee meetings held behind closed doors back then. The Gulf of Tonkin incident was about the claim the U.S. warships were attacked by North Vietnamese PT Boats. This caused the explicit military involvement by America into the Vietnam War. In real life, the event never occured. In a March 1968 closed session of the Foreign Relations Committee, Senator Albert Gore Sr. of Tennessee, the father of former vice president Al Gore, noted: “If this country has been misled, if this committee, this Congress, has been misled by pretext into a war in which thousands of young men have died, and many more thousands have been crippled for life, and out of which their country has lost prestige, moral position in the world, the consequences are very great." Senator Frank Church (or the Democrat from Idaho) said in an executive session in February 1968 that: "...“In a democracy you cannot expect the people, whose sons are being killed and who will be killed, to exercise their judgment if the truth is concealed from them." Other Senators wanted the truth about Tonkin to be not revealed in order to not inflame public opinion on the war. Senator Mike Mansfied (a Democrat from Montana) said that people might exploit the war if the truth came out. Mansfeld didn't want a proposed release of a committee staff investigation to be shown that riased doubts over if the Tonkin incident took place or not. The committee wanted to conceal the truth. Senator Church fear that the country could be destroy and the military would be discredited if proof were shown that the attack never transpired in the first palce. He also noted that if the senators were to follow up on their skepticism over Tonkin, “The big forces in this country that have most of the influence and run most of the newspapers and are oriented toward the presidency will lose no opportunity to thoroughly discredit this committee.” Even Presidential tapes shown in 2001 proved that LBJ knew that the Tonkin event never happened. He said that Defence Secretary Robert McNamara mislead him and he wanted to spin the event to use it as justification for air strikes. “You just came in a few weeks ago and said they’re launching an attack on us – they’re firing at us,” Johnson tells McNamara in one conversation, “and we got through with the firing and concluded maybe they hadn’t fired at all.” The NSA also deliberately faked intelligence data to make it appear as if two US ships had been lost in the “attack.” So, the Vietnam War accelerated into a huge scale via the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution. This study was released by the national Institute of Environmental Health Sciences has found that high omega 3 consumption helps to prevent colon cancer. Dr. Sangmi Kim and her team found out what many other studies discovered. That is that mainly Omega 3s are anti-inflammatory cancer fighers. the research team compared groups of people who consumed varying levels of omega 3s and found that the top fourth bracket of Omega 3 consumption had half the risk of developing colon cancer when compared to those in the bottom fourth. The team found out that high intake of Omega 6s compared to omega 3s indicates an increased risk of developing colon cancer. This is why many health experts recommend consuming a proper balance of omega 3s and Omegas 6s with an idea ratio of 1:1. According to the U.S. National Institutes of Health, the typical Western diet is composed of an omega-6/omega-3 ratio of more than 15:1. Excessive omega-6 consumption contributes to a host of today's modern diseases, including cardiovascular disease, cancer, autoimmune disorders and inflammation. Yet, too much omega 6s without enough Omega 3s can be harmful to human helath. That is why doctors want people to get a proper ratio (by eating the rights foods and supplementing if necessary). Fish, cod liver and salmon oils are all rich sources of omega-3s and are great for dietary supplementation. Vegetarian sources of omega-3s include hemp and linseed, also known as flax, oils.Good food sources that contain beneficial ratios of omega-6s/omega-3s include wild, cold water oily fish like salmon, hemp seeds, grass-fed, pastured meats, and walnuts. It's apart of commonsense to get a variety of different fruits, vegetables, nuts, and oil in a diet. Avoiding processed foods that have unhealthy oils, refined flours, and sugars, and too many simple carbohydrates is a way to go as well.
