On Our Democratic Rights.

Some breaking news is that the former NYPD has been sentenced for 10 years in prison for assaulting a police officer on January 6, 2021. We can't sugarcoat what happened back then. This person Thomas Webster was a terrorist who allied with other terrorists in trying to overthrow the American government. Webster assaulted a person unjustly. So far, this has been the longest sentence of any January 6 defendant so far. This 56-year-old Thomas Webster person was a former Marine. In the video, he was swinging a metal flagpole at the D.C. officer Noah Rathbun before crossing police barriers at the U.S. Capitol and he tackled Rathbun. He choked Rathbun with the officer's chinstrap. By May, Webster was found guilty of the six charges that he faced, five of which were felonies. Judge Amit Mehta said that Webster or the terrorist's testimony was contradicted by the video evidence. Webster's attorney said that Webster is a decent guy. This attorney knows full well that he wouldn't say those words if his client was a black man, a Muslim person, or a non-white person. Webster is not a decent man, but a hardcore terrorist who should have accountability for his actions. The New York Times says that Trump's lawyers may become witnesses or targets in the investigation of the classified documents. Donald Trump is so much a traitor to America that he said that he wants to pardon the January 6th terrorists if he wins the election in 2024. Ginni Thomas or Clarence Thomas' wife wanted to work to overthrow the legal election of Wisconsin (during the 2020 Presidential election).

The Democrat Mary Peltola won the Alaska special election. She is the first Native American to win in Alaska. She has defeated Sarah Palin. Mary Peltola won the special election on her own merit. The people of Alaska made their voices known that they want a new era for their great state. Sarah Palin is fully known for her extremism, pettiness, and Trump idol worship. Now, Mary Peltola had made history in many ways. She was born in Anchorage, Alaska, and she loves her seven children. Her husband is the rector of the Alaska Regional Office of the Bureau of Indian Affairs. She will be sworn in as Alaska's U.S. Representative on September 13, 2022.

Congress wants a "damage assessment" amid the DOJ filing on the top-secret documents at Mar-A-Lago. Now, we now that the affidavit proves that Trump had tons of secret documents being exposed to many nations. That is why some even in the New York Times want the criminal prosecution of Donald Trump. Anyone else having top secret folders in their home would be arrested and charged with many crimes. The Department of Justice gave Trump all of the chances in the world. The affidavit says that many FBI witnesses and informants helped the FBI to locate the documents. McConnell refuses to talk about Trump's documents bombshell. Donald Trump committed treasons\ by organizing an attempted coup d'état against American democracy on January 6, 2021, and by stealing over 100 classified documents in his Mar-a-Lago home. This is treason, and Trump should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. These events are unprecedented in American history.

The common myth is that no one rights are being violated in America today. This is refuted by showing facts. For multiple decades, there have been decades of permanent wars, attacks against democratic rights, and the transfer of trillions of dollars from the working class (and the poor) to the financial aristocracy. We have seen the existence of the Patriot Act that people from across the political spectrum have condemned as infringing on our civil liberties, especially on the Fourth Amendment. We have massive police brutality, racism, sexism, xenophobia, and other evils plaguing our lands. We have voter suppression laws not just in the South but in the Midwest including other parts of America. We certainly have a struggle for our democracy here and abroad. In Brazil, a far-right President has a reactionary state harming Afro-Brazilians and other people. We have the President of Hungary allying with Trump.

The threat of fascism is ever real in America and in the world. We know about how Trump's fascism movement has brainwashed at least 1/3 of all Americans to accept his tenets. After 19 months since the coup attempt, many people have downplayed the danger of the Republican Party and the establishment. We know that Trump may very well run for President again. Trump could be charged with obstructing justice and violating the Espionage Act after the FBI conducted a legal search of Trump's Mar-a-Lago home. Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines said that intelligence agencies were investigating the documents Trump took from the White House. This fascism is not new in America. The Alien and Sedition Acts, the Palmer Raids, the Japanese American internment, slavery against black people, and various war crimes are representative of overt fascism. We have to be careful to make sure that large corporations don't expand their power over the whole economy in a dictatorial fashion. That is why President Biden gave a speech last night to oppose the agenda of MAGA Republicans and Trump in general.
