Friday Information in Early October 2019.

Former U.S. Special Evnoy for Ukraine Kurt Volker testified to Congress in secret. Today, Trump wants Ukraine and China to investigate the Bidens, because Trump opposes the Joe Biden Presidential campaign. This is part of the long impeachment situation. Trump promotes threats and warnings all of the time. He yells at reporters. He curses in Tweets. He makes up outlandish lies and allegations against Congressional leaders. Therefore, this male is not ready for prime time. Being President means to have the sober reasoning mixed with great temperament in making decisions, analyzing data, and making cogent speeches about progressive values. Trump and Pompeo trying to strife witnesses is disgraceful. This comes after foreign policy debacles from Trump. There was a failed political coup in Venezuela. Trump has a worst relationship with Iran after he ended a nuclear deal from years ago. He has a trade war that is currently harming the manufacturing sector of the American economy. That is why we must reject the fascist agenda of Trump and the imperialistic agenda of the other faction of the ruling class (made up of intelligence leaders, the military industrial complex, etc.). Trump must be impeached on the basis of his violations to the U.S. Constitution and his anti-democratic actions against the American people.

There are text messages that link the Ukraine investigation and the Trump meeting. The texts show that U.S. diplomats with Giuliani were setting up the meeting. The messages from then U.S. Special Envoy for Ukraine Kurt Volker made it clear the importance of an Ukrainian investigation into the 2016 election. The Washington Post said that the IRS whistleblower report involves that the Treasury political appointee tried to interfere with the Presidential tax audit. For Trump to publicly call for China and Ukraine to investigate Biden represents a cold admission of another form of his unethical corruption. It is illegal for a President to solicit another nation to investigate another American citizen (or interfere with an election). While Trump must be impeached, we are clear to oppose Trump's new goal of trying to privatize Medicare. He wants to cut $800 billion from Medicare over the course of 10 years. He slams socialism, but Medicare is a government run program. It has saved lives for decades. He promoted Medicare Advantage that helps more affluent seniors while sicker and poorer seniors suffer. His executive order is a big give away to corporations.

The Amber Guyger sentencing was a total injustice. Being sentenced for only 10 years while those with mere possession receive longer sentences represents the double standard of the criminal justice system. When some people coddle a murderer and not the victims of injustice, then we have a serious problem of misplaced priorities. It is true that mainstream society always tries to guilt trip black people to forgive anybody, even the most heinous murderers and torturers. Some people just want black people to act submissive to evil, but we reject that premise. We believe in showing our Blackness and not tolerating any disrespect or injustice. I don't begrudge the family for their actions, since they face total hurt and pain. I won't disrespect a grieving family. Yet, a judge and a cop stroking that murderer's hair and hugging that murderer represents to me a total slavery mentality. The mother of the victim have shown courage in saying that laws must be changed to eliminate the blood-lust of crooked officers who hide behind their badge to commit acts of brutality. Forgiveness is up to the individual. It should never to be used as an excuse to minimize the oppression against black lives.

A legend recently passed away. Her name is Jessye Norman. She was 74 years old and an excellent opera soprano. She possessed a great, distinctive voice that inspired the generations of human beings. She was from Augusta, Georgia and sang regularly in her church, in school, and in other locations. Singing was her life. Yet, her life wasn't just about singing. She regularly gave back to her community and to people worldwide via generosity and altruistic humbleness. She never wavered in her consistent advocacy of music and the rest of the glorious arts. Her inspiration musically was the excellent contralto Marian Anderson (who was a legendary singer and civil rights activist). Back in 1969, she performed opera in Berlin, Germany.

She sang spirituals, French songs, and German songs. Jessye Norman saw Jim Crow first hand as being from Augusta, but her legacy is much more superior than the evil of American apartheid. She created her own Jessye Norman School for the Arts in her own hometown in order for people to join up in the great course of musical expression. She received many awards during her life on Earth (like the National Society of Arts and Letters, the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, the National Medal of Arts presented by President Barack Obama, etc.). Now, it is time to for her to receive her many crowns in Heaven given to her by the Most High. An impactful voice, a compassionate spirit, and a glorious life represent the essence of her longevity.

Rest in Power Sister Jessye Norman.
