Facts about the Political World.

What is worst than Mitch McConnell opposing the infrastructure bill is how Joe Manchin of West Virginia opposes the bill too. No one is shocked by McConnell's terrible actions, but Manchin promoting moderate nonsense is just typical of a centrist like him. History teaches us that centrism doesn't work. Dr. King wasn't a centrist, and Malcolm X including Ella Baker definitely weren't centrists either. In our society, a radical redistribution of political and economic power is necessary in causing justice for all people. The Biden/Harris' infrastructure bill will cost $2.2 trillion for many years. GOP member Roy Blunt is on the McConnell bandwagon. Blunt wants a token $600 billion plan when people are starving and many bridges are crumbling. Taxes should be increased on predatory, multinational corporations. Roads, that are our taxpayer dollars built, should be invested massively. Blunt wants regressive taxes that makes no sense. Investments should be made in roads, bridges, subways, buses, elder care, child care, and other facets of our society. Christie of NJ lies on the Georgia voting suppression law when he supported the habitual liar Donald Trump for years. The Senate Parliamentarian Rules that Democrats Can Pass Two More Funding Bills, Opening Door to Passing $2.2 Trillion Recovery Bill by a Simple Majority.

Today, we are in a new era of the vaccinations of Americans. Right now, over 168 million shots have occurred so far in America. That is about 1/3 of all Americans having at least one shot. Also, the majority of elderly Americans have at least one vaccine shot. We still have a long way to go, because variants are spreading fast in many places of America. Hospitalizations are up in various states like Michigan especially. President Biden wants all adults eligible to get vaccinated by April 19, 2021. Many states have already made anyone 16 or older vaccinated. 75 percent of all seniors in America have received at least one vaccine. Still, there is a lot to be done too. Biden wants 200 million shots to exist in 100 days after his inauguration. Community health centers, religious locations, and other places are certainly giving human beings vaccines as well. America has vaccinated more people than any other nation on Earth. Vaccines should be used to help people of the world as this pandemic is a global threat.

The Michael Rappaport and Kevin Durant situation is not new. For years, I rejected Michael Rappaport culture vulture, fake, and wannabe down nonsense. This is the same guy who cursed at Spike Lee over gentrification. This is the same person who disrespected Janet Jackson and Kenya Moore. This is the same guy who made vulgar remarks about black women journalists. Just because his wife is a black woman, doesn't mean that he has a pass to disrespect black women journalists or black people in general. So, he is another Eminem. He is the type of white person that says slick stuff, and then throws his hands up when he gets caught. Kevin Durant should have played chess and not entertain that person, because people like Rappaport will play it up to make himself look "good." Durant should realize that many in society don't care about people who look like us. We shouldn't be concerned with seeking validation from society. We should seek our own validation by promoting justice and truth among black people.

The voter suppression law in Georgia shows the GOP's hypocrisy. The GOP claims that they are against cancel culture, but they want to punish corporations who oppose the voter suppression law. They claim to support the free market, but they advocate massive tax breaks for the super wealthy and desire to end certainly tax breaks for corporations that reject the Georgia voting suppression law. Mitch McConnell publicly wanted corporations to be protected from pandemic related lawsuits. Mitch promoted Citizens United which was a Supreme Court decision that considered corporations "people." So, Mitch is a hypocrite for saying that corporations should stay out of politics, when he promoted wealthy corporate interests in politics for years. I'm consistent, because I don't believe in laissez faire capitalism. I don't believe in a total free market system that has no regulation in it. The irony is that the Republicans have promoted lowering the corporate tax rate, protecting Big Pharma, and advance anti-democratic policies in Georgia including Texas. Using policies that make it harder for human beings to participate in the voting process is by definition anathema to true voting rights. HR-1 must be passed by Congress.

The New York Times reported on how Trump's money scam has tricked his fans out of millions of dollars. The situation was that the Trump 2020 team turned to fundraising acts to dupe donors into giving far more money than they intended. Trump has more than $400 million in personally guaranteed loans that are due in the next 4 years. His brand has a financial hit. The Trump organization made 40 percent less in revenue in 2020 than in 2019. The irony is that Trump lied and claimed to advance blue collar interests, but his actions are exploiting many blue collar workers for profit. The trial continues today. The Minneapolis police chief said that Chauvin violated policy. It is obvious that Chauvin acted aggressively and unjustly to place his neck on George Floyd's neck for over 9 minutes. Chauvin violated the law. The police chief said that Chauvin should have stopped once Floyd stopped resisting. The truth is that if the officers left Floyd alone, then none of this would have happened in the first place.  It is disgraceful for the defense to call the bystanders as "threatening" which is about the racist stereotype of black people in a crowd being automatically threatening to people. There is a time and place for things. Harming an innocent, black human being causing his death is completely unjustified.
