More Information on the Conflict.

There have been many people in Harvard and in other places who support the Palestinian people who have been criticized. Many Democratic Congresspeople have been criticized for supporting Palestine. What is the truth? I don't believe people should be criticized for supporting the humanity of the Palestinian people. Yet, I do believe that folks should be criticized if they justify the attacks of Hamas on civilians in Israel. It's legitimate to criticize Israeli policy as no nation is immune from critique. That is fair game. Yet, it is wrong to blame Israel alone for the attack from Hamas on civilians. Hamas cutting the heads of babies has nothing to do with Israel or Israeli policy. That has everything to do with the barbarism of Hamas. We live in a crossroads in our history. People who support Hamas's murder, rape, and terrorism against innocent human beings have no respect for me. It's fine to oppose the occupation of Palestine and the oppression of the Palestinian people. That is righteous, but it's wrong to minimize the terrorism of Hamas. The silence of many in refusing to condemn Hamas's actions is telling. I'm consistent because I don't agree with far-right Israelis oppressing Palestinians, and I oppose Hamas killing innocent men, women, and children in Israel too.

The Hamas attacks have questions about Israeli intelligence. Today, we have seen debates on the Internet on this issue. There are 2 liars in this debate. The first group of liars defends Hamas's actions as a righteous act or an act of legitimate resistance. They are liars as Hamas kidnapped innocent men, women, and children. Hamas has raped people, mutilated human bodies, murdered innocent human beings, and committed war crimes in Israel. The other groups of liars want to use the unjust attacks by Hamas as an excuse to minimize or ignore the suffering of the Palestinian people. For decades, the Palestinian people have suffered checkpoints, occupation, mass murder, and other evils by far-right extremists in Israel. This has no justification just like Hamas's actions have no justification at all. Hamas is a terrorist organization that is amoral, and Benjamin Netanyahu is right to condemn Hamas. Yet, Netanyahu is wrong to be far-right extremist, and some of his provocative statements in desiring to level Gaza (which is basically a living prison with lax water, lax electricity, and other terrible conditions that represent a humanitarian crisis). Therefore, a real solution is to make sure that Jewish and Arabic people have equal rights and justice in Israel and Palestine.

Netanyahu is wrong to warn Palestinians to leave Gaza when Palestinians are trapped in Gaza. Gaza is a location filled with densely populated structures filled with trapped human beings with nowhere to go. Palestinians aren't allowed to go to Egypt, and they experience a blockade. Hamas did massive evil in Israel. Also, provocations by far-right factions in Israel (from Christians in Israel being spit at and harassed to the judiciary system in Israel being changed) also has caused problems. Netanyahu's government is the most right-wing government in Israel's history. Now, Israel has its counterattack against Hamas. We all condemn the evil attacks against Israeli civilians by Hamas. We condemn Hamas harming innocent men, women, and children. Also, we realize that Palestinians deserve equality, justice, and liberation in the region too. Gaza has most people living in poverty, Gaza lacks electricity and water, and Gaza has been under siege are tragedies that must change. The death toll of this crisis is over 1,400 people. The lie is that everyone in Gaza is a Hamas accomplice. That isn't the case. Gaza is a victim of massive oppression, and many Palestinians have protested against Hamas in Gaza too.

The Hamas attacks in Israel came when Israel and Saudi Arabia were about to sign a historic deal. Iran is mostly Shia and Saudi Arabia is mostly Sunni, so Iran wants to use Hamas to promote its hegemony in the Middle East. The attacks came after the far-right Netanyahu was hugely opposed by the Israeli public over his judiciary policies. Today, many people want to promote simplistic interpretations of the conflict. This conflict is complex with no easy answers. When people say that Gaza is filled with oppressed Palestinians with human rights violations, they are right. When people say that Hamas has committed war crimes against innocent Israeli people, they are right too. Therefore, the truth is more complex than what some of the bigots say. In the final analysis, the Hamas acts against innocent civilians are evil and unjust, and the present occupation of Palestine has no justification. Two things can be true. This situation is a human tragedy. The only solution to this problem is a long-term political solution where both Jewish and Arabic people can have true freedom, justice, and equality.

Robert Kennedy Jr. has shown himself unfortunately to be a far-right extremist. His father promoted racial justice. In 2023, RFK Jr. is running for President as an independent candidate who pushed the myth that COVID-19 could be an ethnic bioweapon used to target white people and black people but spared Ashkenazi Jewish people and Chinese human beings. He claims that the CIA might be looking to assassinate him, and he blames vaccines for autism and AIDS. Ironically, his uncle, President John F. Kennedy signed the Vaccination Assistance Act in 1962, which helped lower child mortality for years and decades. In a 2021 book, RFK Jr. promoted the view (without conclusive evidence) that Dr. Fauci performed genocidal experiments, sabotaged treatments for AIDS, and conspired with Bill Gates to suppress information about COVID-19. RFK Jr.'s campaign is backed by a PAC that funds Majorie Taylor Greene and George Santos (who is a habitual liar). Democracy won by a small amount in 2020 in Georgia, Arizona, and Wisconsin. It only takes RFK Jr. and Cornel West (West agrees with the xenophobic ADOS movement) to take a few votes to cause a Republican to win the 2024 election. RFK Jr. told the truth that his goal was to spoil the election for Democrats and Republicans. RFK Jr. disappoints many. Therefore, we have to be wise to see the signs of the times.
