Ukraine said that a Russian strike killed 51 people in one of the deadliest attacks on the war. There is no excuse for Russian war crimes in Ukraine, but fake leftists are silent on these war crimes and many far-right people support Putin. The strike killed a child in a village. Its location is near the eastern Ukrainian city of Kupiansk on Thursday. Russian forces targeted a cafe and a shop in Hroza in the Kharkiv region. This came after midday local time according to the Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko. Many emergency workers are in the dense rubble during the aftermath of the attack. Doctors are treating the six people who were injured by the strike. There was a strike inside a store that a missile targeted too. The attack wiped out about one-fifth of the village which had a population of about 330 people. Ukraine wants more investments in defense system to end the Russian invasion. Even the UN humanitarian coordinator in Ukraine said that Russian forces committed war crimes in the strike.
Republican Scalise announced his bid for the House speaker as other potential contenders emerge. John Kelly confirmed that Trump privately disparaged U.S. service members and veterans. Trump is lower than low to disrespect military service people and veterans. Many of our ancestors in real life served in the Union during the American Civil War, during Normandy during WWII, and in modern times saving lives from natural disasters and doing charity helping people globally. FOX News's Sean Hannity wants Trump to be the House Speaker which is a ludicrous, extreme idea.
The Trump civil fraud trial on Wednesday had many events. New York Attorney General Letitia James said that she will not be bullied by Trump. There is the $250 million civil fraud trial against Trump, his eldest songs, and his company. The case is civil, not criminal, so Trump and others are expected to pay fines if they are convicted (not serve prison sentences). On Tuesday, Judge Arthur Engoron rebuked Trump after Trump attacked his clerk in a social media post, banning the parties from making any future comments about his staff. Letitia James said that Trump is being at the trial for the purpose of making a political stunt and a fundraising stop. Trump attacked the judge overseeing the civil fraud case as he left the courtroom. Trump was not required to attend the civil trial, but he was in court for the first three days. Trump has filed a notice of appeal to a New York appellate court after Trump and his co-defendants were found liable for persistent and repeated fraud.
California Governor Newsom picked Laphonza Butler to replace Senator Feinstein. She is an ally of Vice President Kamala Harris. Butler is 44 years old. Butler works with a union and works with Uber and Airbnb. Newsom wanted to pick a black woman to replace Feinstein, and Laphonza Butler is a black woman with a lot of experience in politics. Later, there will be an election in 2024 for the same seat, so Butler is technically a temporary replacement. Now, Adam Schiff, Katie Porter, and Barbara Lee are running for Feinstein's seat. The deadline to declare candidacy is December 8, 203. Butler lives in Maryland. Butler owns a home in California and will re-registering to vote in California. Butler was born in the Deep South in Magnolia, Mississippi. She graduated from Jackson State University with a bachelor's degree in political science and government.
Now, Kevin McCarthy has been voted to be ousted as House Speaker. Tensions in the GOP caused McCarthy to lose his seat. Matt Gaetz had a personal vendetta against McCarthy because McCarthy worked with Democrats on the shutdown issue. Also, Kevin McCarthy should share the blame too. McCarthy knew full well that the MAGA extremists hated truth and wisdom. This is the first House Speaker to be ousted in American history. The future of the Republican Party is uncertain. Now, the Republicans must vote for a new House Speaker. The GOP must pick a new House Speaker. McCarthy supported Trump on many issues too. The MAGA extremists won't stop here. They advocate a change in society where rights are gone, books are banned, and an authoritarian government exists. William McHenry of North Carolina is the temporary House Speaker. McCarthy will not run for House Speaker again. Gaetz is so extreme that McCarthy was not good enough when the shutdown existed. Therefore, the Republican Party is in a state of crisis and hubris. The Republican leaders have no basic philosophy except extremism. Kevin McCarthy lost the speakership by his own hand including MAGA leaders, not by Democrats or anyone else.
