July 4, 2025 News.

On this July 4th, 2025, we acknowledge the 249th year anniversary of America. We are living history every day. Those of us who are 40 years old or older have seen monumental changes in just a short span of time. In the past 30 years alone, we have lived through the OKC Bombing, the end of the Clinton Presidency, 9/11, the Iraq War, Hurricane Katrina, the invention of the iPhone, the rise of the first African American President in American history, the events in Ferguson, the pandemic, historic Supreme Court decisions (both good and bad), Trump's 2 terms, and the increase of A.I. technology. Fundamentally, this day is a day of reflection. Almost a quarter of a millennium ago, many people stood up against the oppressive British Monarchy. These people were diverse among men and women, young and old, black people, white people, and people of every colors. The Framers wrote the Declaration of Independence in the midst of their paradoxes. The paradox is that while many Framers claimed to advocate for equality with those aspirational, eloquent words of all men are created equal, many of them contradict that precept by owning black human beings in a racist fashion. You can't be for liberty and enslave another human being. The Revolutionary War lasted for many years and developed over the tensions between the colonists and the British Crown (the passage of the Intolerable Acts upset many colonists who viewed such laws as oppressive). King George III wanted monarchy to reign over this empire, but the colonists increasingly wanted independence. The Patriots wanted independence (being influenced by Enlightenment ideals and other philosophers), the Loyalists were colonists who wanted political submission to King George III, and the Redcoats wanted domination of the American colonies. Our people (black people) were in both sides of this war seeking the same goal of freedom and justice. The American Patriots used the assistance of the French, the Dutch, the Spanish, and other people to defeat the Redcoats. The war ended by 1783 via the Treaty of Paris. America grown with 2 factions of people who wanted equality and those who didn't (Frederick Douglass, Malcolm X, Fannie Lou Hamer, and even Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at times expressed legitimate anger and disappointment at how some Americans are hypocritically supporting injustice while claiming to be for democracy and freedom). We have told America the truth for these years, and the best way to love America is to stand up for justice for all. It is to love your neighbor, be involved in your community, oppose imperialism and unjust wars, advocate for economic solutions that benefit all of the people (beyond the one percent), and stand up to the American government if necessary is that government is executing unjust policies (as we have the First Amendment right to protest and express our grievances). True patriotism is not unconditionally having allegiance to evil, but it is standing up against evil and supporting the goodness of the principles of liberty, justice, equality, and democracy. Like always, I believe in the government to progressively promote the general welfare to make a strong social safety net and to promote economic justice in the world. Today, many Americans are standing up against the policies of an authoritarian, a convicted felon, and a habitual liar (he is Trump) who doesn't respect dissent against his reign. Therefore, we will use this day to reflect, share the bonds of love among family and friends, and to promote righteousness over tyranny, monarchy, and oligarchy. That is absolutely and unequivocally real talk

After Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries gave the longest speech in the history of the House of Representatives, the GOP House members voted for Trump's budget bill. The Republicans can use all of the lies and distractions that they want, but this bill is one of the most destructive, evil pieces of legislation in American history. Some Republicans who said that they didn't like the bill for fiscal reasons still voted for it in a hypocritical fashion. This bill has nothing to do with helping most Americans or even with financial stability (I am not a fiscal conservative for the record). It is about the funding of the super wealthy, militarizing our lands, destroying legitimate social programs, and cause tons of Americans to suffer a lack of food and other resources that they need from urban to rural locations. Mainstream CBO research and other sources mentioned that this bill will increase the national debt. It gives massive tax cuts to the super rich. Trump forced cowardly Republicans in the House and the Senate to vote for the bill. The bill can send 17 million people kicked off of health care including Medicaid, cuts $186 billion from SNAP and food assistance, it gives $1 trillion in tax cuts for billionaires and the super wealthy, it gives $18 billion in tax handouts for the fossil fuel industry (it cuts tons of money from solar and other clean energy services that has helped so many Americans), and funds $150 billion for more horrific detention centers and ICE agents (who have been caught detaining U.S. citizens without due process of law). Families will suffer, and Jeffries is right to say that people will die from this bill. Hospitals will suffer from the bill that harming health care services, drive up health care costs, and cause other complications. With growing economic inequality, this bill shows how some in America care more for an archaic, retrograde ideology than justice and compassion for all people.

The Trump's DHS council is targeting Democratic New York City mayoral primary winner Zohran Mamdani, because of his political views. Guiliani lied and called Zohran a communist when he identified himself as a democratic socialist. Trump threatened to arrest and deport Zohran Mamdani (which is illegal as no U.S. citizen can be deported for peacefully expressing political dissent) because of Mamdani's political views. Even in 2025, many Americans unfortunately accept McCarthyism or the view that anyone who is not a far-right extremist is equivalent to Stalin or communism. The Homeland Security Advisory Council now is headed by South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster. It has many fascists, Republican operatives, Trump loyalists, and billionaires like Marc Andreessen, co-founder of the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, Florida State Senator Joseph Gruters, Christopher Cox, founder of the far-right group Bikers for Trump, etc. Another council member is the convicted felon, Rudolph Giuliani. The attorney and liar David Chesnoff compared Mamdani to the terrorists who did the September 11, 2001, terror attacks which is an evil slander. Noem said that she has the ability to do things that have never been done before which means she wants to use agencies to promote repression of dissent. The fascist Trump continues to lie and called Mamdani a communist. Mamdani said that he and his family have experienced death threats. This is evil and shows how demonic far right people are. You can agree or disagree with Mamdani all day long, but he doesn't deserve this mistreatment. The mass deportation program of Trump desires to deport some U.S. citizens. This is beyond just immigrants. It's about a tyrant who is so insecure that he desires all people to bow before his views unconditionally. I won't bow before this tyrant.

On July 2, 2025, we have the verdict of the Sean Combs's trial. This trial was unique in American history showing some of the most graphic and sexual testimony in American history. Sean Combs is a very lucky man, even with the conviction of two counts. Many people thought he would be convicted on all counts. Yet, the story about one juror desiring more information from the judge days ago was a clear sign that he wouldn't be convicted on all counts in New York City. Combs was found not guilty on the two counts of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion. Combs has been found guilty of the two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution and transportation to engage in prostitution. The judge has denied bail for Sean Combs, because the judge believed that his actions didn't merit the threshold for him to leave the court via bail. So, Combs will stay in jail until his sentencing. The prosecution was confident in their case, and the defense was confident too. Cassie and other victims of abuse shouldn't be unfairly shamed. Their experiences of violent mistreatment have no justification, and Diddy is not a role model for us to emulate as Diddy has been involved in executing physical abuse, emotional abuse, and other evils spanning years and decades (confirmed by his romantic partners, bodyguards, business associates, and other witnesses). The jurors felt that they couldn't convict him on sex trafficking. People can agree or disagree with their decision. What is true also is that morality and integrity is always better than hedonism. All human beings must treat other people with dignity and with respect period. The Golden Rule is paramount. Sentencing will come later possibly by October 3, 2025 (he may face 2.5-5 years in prison).

Another January 6th terrorist has been now being given a job in the Department of Justice. This convicted terrorist threatened the police. He is now a counselor to Ed Martin, the director of the so-called weaponization committee. A traitor being part of the DOJ makes a mockery of truth and justice. This terrorist's name is Jared L. Wise. During the January 6th terrorist insurrectionist against America, this traitor Wise has been accused of telling the crowd of rioters to attack law enforcement officers. Wise was once an FBI agent. Wise was part of the conservative far right group called Project Veritas under the supervision of the British spy Richard Seddon. Trump and the MAGA movement have whitewashed the terrorists on January 6th, and Trump has pardoned many of the January 6th insurrectionists. Wise is part of a department who desires revenge against people who used their legal power to allow January 6th domestic terrorists to be held responsible for their crimes. Wise is not a man, but he is a coward who doesn't deserve the privilege to work at the Justice Department. This is shocking news but not surprising news. These are some of the people lecturing us black people of respecting law enforcement, but this person encouraged violence against police officers who were protecting the U.S. Capitol building.
