The far-right extremists are so extremist that some of them even consider Social Security as equivalent to the views of Lenin and Stalin. They label anything socialist if that program uses the power of the federal government to help the people in genuinely positive ways. Since January 2025, Trump slashed billions of dollars from Medicaid, SNAP, and public broadcasting, cut taxes for the super rich, gutted worker and consumer protections, used his office to make himself richer, and turned America into a police state (by allowing ICE to violate people's due process rights with no true accountability). Now, United HealthCare is increasing premiums for policyholders in New York and Washington after spending $9 billion on stock buybacks last year. There is an early recess in the House and Senate, because some GOP members refuse to vote on revealing information about the Epstein files.
The White House removed the Wall Street Journal from the press pool on Trump's Scotland trip. This is a retaliation against the Wall Street for its coverage of the birthday card Epstein story. From Trump's hostility towards the press if they disagree with him to his" promoting the lie that Obama committed treason, we know about the Trump White House agenda being filled with distractions, bigotry, and hatred of truth.We also know that Russian intelligence tried to interfere with the 2016 election proven by tons of sources. Another tactic of members of the MAGA movement is trying to troll and harass people in the Internet like social media who disagree with their false "Messiah" Donald Trump. Trump is a human being who shouldn't be deified. People have the free speech and moral right to express powerful legitimate dissent against his authoritarian policies. Trump will not defeat democracy. There is no excuse for Trump to use ICE to detain American citizens unjustly, there is no excuse for innocent federal workers to be fired without cause, there is no excuse with the Trump goal of banning birthright citizenship and there is no excuse for his Muslim ban (that harms innocent people in various countries worldwide). People with goodwill and honor will be victorious in the end.
My paternal 5th late cousin was Francine Georgette Ames Wescott. She was born on August 17, 1964 at Northampton County, Virginia. That is in the Virginia Eastern Shore. Her first child with James L. Johnson Sr. is Jasmine Cherie Ames (b. 1988). Later, Francine Georgette Ames married Theodore Abron Wescott (b. 1965) on June 15, 1996 at Northampton County, Virginia. The couple had the child of Deion Wescott. Francine's parents are George Francis Ames (b. 1940) and Annie Treheme (1939-1994). Francine's siblings are Baby Ames (1958-1958), Regina Laverne Ames Darby (b. 1966), Carla Irene Ames (b. 1969), and Stephanie Latoya Ames (b. 1977). Carla Irene Ames married James William Owens on December 26, 2008, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The parents of Annie Treherne were Amos Treherne (b. 1918) and Marie Satchel (1923-1979). The Trump administration terminated the Department of Labor's only job training program for low-income seniors, called Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP), which helped low-income Americans aged 55 or older to find part-time employment or job training at nonprofits and government agencies. It has helped thousands of people in America. This is sick as the Trump administration is known for its cruelty, racism (using anti-DEI as code for anti-black policies), and is very much in league with the interests of super wealthy corporate interests. We know that cuts to USAID can cost 14.5 million lives, and 5 million of them are children. Many will die due to starvation. This is what Trump voters have voted for. Trump officials have been accused of defying 1 in 3 judges who ruled against them, according to The Washington Post. That is lawlessness, and Trump supporters should be ashamed of themselves. In essence, Trump and his allies are anti-American and anti-humanity as they promote policies that explicitly harm Americans and human beings worldwide.
Medicaid work requirements don't work for a variety of reasons. The Republicans lie and say that these requirements are necessary because they have implied that Medicaid recipients include a high percentage of people who are lazy and refuse to work in jobs. The truth is that 64 percent of all Medicaid requirements (who are adults) already work. Not to mention that morally, a social safety net given to suffering people ought not to have such requirements, as many human beings can't work because of health and disability issues. There is nuance on this issue that many far-right extremists refuse to decipher as they believe in the myth that everything must be placed in rigid terminology. Many workers on Medicaid don't have health benefits on their jobs, so people on Medicaid who aren't working are on disability or have a serious illness (in 10 percent), are in school (in 7 percent), or are primary caregivers (in 12 percent) meaning that is virtually impossible for them to be forced to work to have Medicaid benefits. Republicans want to try to promote a federal work requirement, but states that have implemented a work requirement have not worked comprehensively. In Arkansas, thousands of people lost jobs when Medicaid requirements existed. Ohio had Medicaid expansion that helped tons of people in Ohio. Medicaid expansion helps people to keep jobs. The GOP wants cuts to Medicaid to pay for the tax cuts for the super wealthy. We know what the corporate establishment and the super wealthy oligarchy are up to. They want society to revert back to the old school medieval days or the Gilded Age on steroids (wherefore wealth is mostly centralized to the one percent and everyone else just struggles to survive in a cruel system that doesn't have empathy or compassion for the majority of the human race).
