America and Friday News.

Yesterday, Trump led a rally with his July speech. It wasn't about an unifying themes of togetherness and standing up against injustice. It was about a glorification of militarization and further political polarization. The rally took place at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. There were bulletproof glass, tanks, planes, and a crowd. All of the rally was presented by pro-Trump FOX News. CNN showed some of it, and MSNBC refused to show any of it. There is no question that the base of Trump's support is found on a small number of far right wing people and others who have more of a commitment to the status quo than freedom. He omitted the real problem of some Border Patrol agents assaulting migrants and issuing racist plus sexist comments in secretive Facebook accounts. He omits the terrorism enacted by crooked cops. He even said that the Revolutionary War had airports, and that is completely inaccurate historically. The event was a waste of taxpayers' money which could have been used to rebuild infrastructure, help the sick, improve the lives of those living in poverty, and other legitimate purposes. Trump's speech basically advanced American exceptionalism in viewing America as superior to any nation on Earth culturally and socially. Today, we see the truth. We have crisis, a hostility by the Trump team to the rule of law, and unending war. We have seen the war on terror lasting for almost 20 years without an end in sight. Trump was about 10 minutes away from launching a war against Iran, which could escalate into possibly World War III. Trump praised the American Revolutions. He said that Civil War freed the slaves. Yet, he advanced policies that enrich primarily Wall Street oligarchs and other financial elites.

While Trump hypocritically praised Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and other civil rights leaders, he denies the civil rights of Americans by supporting the Real ID voter suppression laws (and treats undocumented immigrants as enemies instead of human beings). Protesters of the this venue were assaulted by the bigoted "Proud Boys" group according to CNN. Modern day neo-colonialism is evil. This evil wasn't in existence by the acts of one man. Neither did these problems originated back in 2017. These are centuries old problems in America. Both major parties have a long history of being involved in the complicity of the political establishment in permitting lax infrastructure, the prison industrial complex, health care disparities, income inequality, racism, discrimination, xenophobia, and other evils that plague America plus the world. Therefore, we have to vote. We have to not only vote, but organize grassroots political plus economic organizing (among the poor, the working class, and the others of conscience) to establish a society where justice is made for all for real.

With the news today, we see that there is a war on refugees. There are more than 70 million refugees in the world today. This situation didn't exist because of refugees. This existed by capitalist exploitation and wars displacing millions of people. These refugees now are slandered by many quarters, but this humanitarian crisis is about the largest number of refugees on Earth since World War II. Back during World War 2, many Jewish refugees were turned back from many nations, even in America because of anti-Semitism. That was wrong and unjust. Today, many in Europe, Australia, and America have turned back many refugees because of their race or background. There is no other way to put it. For example, many refugees are escaping Libya, but evil people have placed them in slavery. Some European nations reject tons of them. Even when some heroes rescue refugees, some are imprisoned for being active in rescuing them. Therefore, we can't close our eyes to this. Trump's draconian policies have no place in the world. We have to respect international law that states that asylum seekers are entitled to basic human rights.

It is no secret that big, giant corporations financially benefit from private prisons. These fortunes are built on the backs of heavily black and brown plus poor Americans. The Center for Popular Democracy reported that JPMorgan Chase and Company, Wells Fargo, and BlackRock have increased their shares in prison companies CoreCivic and GEO Group. The industry is worth $5 billion. During one year, CoreCivic and GEO Group made $3.2 billion from government contracts. Also, according to SEC filings, $985 million came from ICE contracts alone. PFIR and FAIR are heavily involving in promoting Trump's evil immigration policies. One ADOS founder sits on the board of the PFIR as a Secretary when PFIR is tied to the eugenicist and white nationalist John Tanton. The xenophobe and ADOS founder Antonio Moore said that Barack Obama was Kenyan and white when Barack Obama was born in America. ADOS Pastor Kevin W. Cosby is a xenophobe and a liar by saying that Yvette Cornell is like a spiritual leader comparable to the leaders like Deborah of the OT. He believes in respectability politics by saying that black people are doing the shooting when most black people aren't murderers. Yvete wants Africans to show their lineages, which shows her to be a total traitor to black people. The ADOS website once praised Ronald Reagan when Reagan cut services, promoted trickled down economics, and used War on Drugs policies that harmed the black community. The ADOS website deleted that praise of Reagan later on. The ADOS's anti-immigrant rhetoric is similar to the far right's rhetoric.

She is one of the most underrated singers of this generation. She has excellent talent, and one of those singers that just have that soul of expression. I always honored her songs. Her songs are real, and they delve into the everyday lives of people. Yesterday was the Birthday of Sister Melanie Fiona, and she is 36 years old. She was born and raised in the city of Toronto, Canada. Her parents were Guyanese immigrants. Canada is home to a great amount of Caribbean people. Her family loved music, and her father was a guitarist. She was in a all-girl group called X-Quisite. They received praised. Later, she established her own soloist career. She wrote songs for other artists. Her first album as a single artist was the Bridge which came out in 2009. Her song "It Kills Me" was a bonafide classic. It was a display of great artistry. The song Monday Morning was popular too. She helped the Haitian earthquake victims, and she toured with Alicia Keys. She has been inspired by Brandy. She is also influenced from artists diverse from Whitney Houston to Sade plus India Arie. Melanie Fiona continues to tour and create her own music. She loves soul music, Caribbean music, and other great forms of music. Melanie Fiona can sing for real. She has a child that she adores. Her songwriting deals with universal issues and her personal experiences. I wish Sister Melanie Fiona more blessings.
