Vital Updates on Life in early July of 2019.
It is tragedy in seeing what is going on near the border. One former Border Patrol agent said that she saw massive, heinous misconduct by some Border Patrol agents. We have recent testimony from migrants and the reveal of documents showing how unsanitary conditions consume many detention camps (as documented by an internal report). This is unjust. Many activists have legitimately spoke out in public to condemn the draconian immigration policies from the Trump administration. Congresspeople have called out this abuse as evil and cruel. Protests to call for an end to detention camps have existed all over America from Houston to NYC. The DHS has recently open an investigation of the social media posts from some Border Patrol agents expressing sexist, rapist, and xenophobic messages (on Facebook). One report says that the Trump administration has threatened fines of up to $500,000 fine undocumented immigrants. Trump is just an extremist. This situation existed long before Trump. For a longtime, U.S. foreign policy in Central America caused puppet regimes to exist in various locations. These puppet leaders did very little to end various crises of poverty and violence which have caused many people to go into America. Trump wants to use the July 4th celebration to promote tanks in the area of Washington, D.C. The tanks are in Washington, D.C. right now. This is not an ode to America. It is an ode to Trump's ego. Each tank weights 60 tons, so they won't be readily shown in the streets in a long duration. Trump certainly doesn't respect the principles of the rule of law, respect given to asylum seekers (that is part of legal American policy), and common honor for the institutions of government. It is certainly wrong to have a partisan rally on the date on July 4th, because no one has a monopoly on America. Tons of soldiers don't like being used as props for a political agenda. The rally is unnecessary since people already know that American military strength is strong.
People are concerned about the bigotry, the narcissism, the anti-democratic policies, and the extremism of the Trump administration. Putin is certainly wrong to condemn multiculturalism and liberal democracy. Therefore, Putin is not some progressive person. He is a right wing autocrat that oppresses people's human rights in Russia. We see Trump has threatened to attack Iran before until he backed off. He still wants a more militarist response against Iran. We see him planning to use ICE in executing raids in many cities of America. Our ancestors (i.e. black Americans) fought in every U.S. war, and still we are fighting for freedom and justice in 2019.
Some history making news is that a young teenager named named Cori "Coco" Gauff defeated Venus Williams at Wimbledon (in London). She is 15 years old. She is a humble human being who praised Venus Williams as her hero growing up. Venus Williams, Serena Williams, Zina Harrison, Althea Gibson, and so many tennis players broke down barriers. Venus Williams gave Cori motivation and inspiration after the match. Her parents honor her a great deal too.
One important point must be said. It is about Chris Brown and his disturbing actions. For years, people already know that Chris Brown is a colorist and has self-hatred. When he criticizes a dark skinned person, he uses anti-black rhetoric. He disrespects black women both physically and verbally back then and today. Then, he talks about some stuff about "nice hair" and refers to black women in a profane way (by using the B word) in a song. First, there is no such thing as good hair or "nice hair." Hair is hair. Anybody has the right to wear their hair as he or she wants to in a free society. Many, especially black women, on Twitter did the right thing to criticize Chris Brown over his lyrics from his new song. I don't get down with his music because I'm not supporting some colorist who makes a living degrading black women. He was born in Virginia (I'm from Virginia too), but he is intimidated by peer pressure by surrounding himself with Blood street gang members in California. I have been to California in real life. I have seen the rich areas and the poor areas. I have seen the rich folks and the homeless. I have seen Downtown LA and the USC campus in real life. I have been on West Olympic Blvd and Figueroa.
It's disgraceful for a grown man to seek validation from gangs when especially he was born in a rural area of Virginia. No one should disrespect any woman, especially black women. We have to take stands and not support any musician that disrespects our people. Chris is the type that may sing with dark skinned black women in concerts, but he mocks them in the Internet and verbally outside of the Internet. There is a lot of tea about him (It is what it is from his drug addiction issues to his sensitive temper). It isn't just him doing these sick actions. Many artists from across genres disrespect women and black people. He showed this attitude for years. We should never tolerate it. We should not financially fund those artists who make a living to glamorize stereotypes or mocks black people.
