Friday News about the World.

Some breaking news is that the January 6 committee issued subpoenas to 5 Republicans including Kevin McCarthy. McCarthy is the Minority Leader of the House. McCarthy and the four other Republican lawmakers have rejected the panel's requests to voluntarily cooperate. If they have nothing to hide, they would have easily cooperated in a voluntary fashion. The other Republicans with the subpoenas are Reps. Jim Jordan of Ohio, Mo Brooks of Alabama, Andy Biggs of Arizona, and Scott Perry of Pennsylvania. Many people on the committee debated for months on whether to subpoena them or not. The committee desired as many facts as possible on how the January 6th event took place and if the Congressional people had involvement. We already know that Trump agitated the terrorists to committee the insurrection against American democracy on January 6, 2021. The GOP members have a legal obligation now to tell the committee about what they know. The House select committee continues to work, and prosecutors are pursuing information on Trump's Mar-a-Lago dealings.

Some sad news is that the Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh was shot dead while covering the Israeli military operation in West Bank. Shireen is an American citizen. Immediately, the U.S. government wanted Israeli authorities to have an investigation into her death. The Israeli government originally said that Palestinian forces killed her. When human beings exposed that as false, then Israeli authorities have called for an investigation. She was investigating and covering an Israeli military operation in the West Bank city of Jenin on Wednesday. Abu Akleh's producer, Ali Al-Samudi, was also shot and is in stable condition. Al Jazeera has accused Israeli security forces of deliberating targeting and killing Abu Akleh, who was just only 54 years old. Israel has said that it will complete an investigation. People are skeptical about it. The person responsible for her death should definitely be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.

Days ago was the Birthday of Sister Dr. Holly Hatcher-Frazier, and she is 52 years old. She loves her husband and 2 sons. She earned her Doctorate in Education from the University of Pennsylvania. She is an expert of dance who has helped enrich the culture of human dancing for years. She earned her master's degree at Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Frazier is from the Bronx, New York City. Not to mention that Dr. Frazier is the author of many books. Many human beings know her from being on the show Dance Moms. For years, she has been on the board of educational institutions and is an active member of many charity organizations. That certainly means that she is active in participating in social work. Her love of African dancing is well known, and she is known worldwide advocate for the spread of education. I wish Sister Dr. Holly Frazier more Blessings.

The war in Ukraine continues. Ukraine continues to have its counterattacks near the Russian border in Kharkiv. Moscow is scared, but they want to continue in the battles. Missiles hit two areas of Sloviansk in eastern Ukraine, according to the city's mayor. The city is a main goal of Russian forces trying to push south into Donetsk region. Ukraine. The U.S. House of Representatives approved an additional $40 billion in supplemental funding for Ukraine, as the U.S. intelligence community said that it believes that Putin's war is likely to be "more unpredictable and escalatory." The first Russian soldier will stand trial in the death of a Ukrainian man, according to a prosecutor. The innocent man killed was a 62-year-old man. The indictment is against Vadim Shishimrin, the commander of the military unit 32010 of the 4th Tank Kantemirov Division of Moscow region. Shishimarin is in custody now. The nation of Finland wants to join NATO now. Putin has threatened Finland if Finland actually becomes a member of the NATO alliance.

Some breaking, sad news is that Judge Hatchett (we know her as a qualified judge who has been on TV and worked in philanthropy for years) was a victim of a sexual assault by a racist Sheriff Coddy in Georgia. Judge Hatchett is a well respect elder in our community. One black man intervened to stop Coddy from going further and told him to get out of the place. Now, Coddy is being charged. We reject any harassment and assault period. No human being should be mistreated verbally or physically. We all wish Judge Hatchett the best, and we want that Sheriff to have a trial and have justice. We desire justice, as none of our people or any human being should experience such an injustice. This story refutes respectability politics. Racists view black people as objects, not as equal human beings. This low-life Coddy deserves no respect. I'm glad that the Brother stopped Coddy's sick actions. Judge Hatchett supported us via heroism and greatness in her life. We must support her with our solidarity during this time.
