Protests in France, Italy, etc.

There are massive protests in Europe from France to Italy. Masses of people demonstrated across France. They are protesting against the repression of the high school movement and the rising prices of energy and the cost of living. There were mass arrests of high school students and the injuries inflicted on them by the police. There have been clashes between demonstrators and the police. Some people talked about the destruction of property in France and Italy. I don't agree with the destruction of innocent property, but people have every God given right to peacefully protest for legitimate causes. These protests have erupted in Marseille, France too. There have been up to 550,000 people in France resisting oppression. There have been as high as 110,000 demonstrators in Paris, 35,000 in Montpellier, 32,000 in Toulouse, and 20,000 each in Nantes and Lyon. There are similar strikes in Spain, Belgium, Ireland, and Portugal being against austerity and economic oppression in general. Demonstrators burned down Limoges city Hall, burst into the city halls of Marseille and Lille, and ransacked the residence of the police prefect in Bordeaux. Many of these protesters are called the Yellow Vests who oppose economic inequality. Therefore, you can jail people, but no one can jail truth. The demonstrators seek a real change wherefore their economic rights and human rights are respected without imperialism and without bigotry.

There have been protests against Modi's government's purge of voter rolls ,and Modi's government is using mass repression. India's Narendra is headed by a far right BJP government. It has failed to completely stop a wave of youth led protests against its purge of millions of rural poor and working-class voters form the electoral rolls. Thousands of people defied the authorities' security crackdown and demonstrated in the heart of New Delhi, India's capital. There is a Generation Z youth protest movement to seek to force the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Dipke and Bora were denied any contact with lawyers, organizations, or families, with the police refusing to confirm where they were being held. Modi and his Hindu supremacist BJP party is against the protest movement's call for ending poverty, fighting for the rights of workers, and ending social inequality.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Elon Musk was ordered to prevent Ukraine from getting satellite information to defend themselves from Russian invasion. Musk is a bizarre person who is completely allied with the MAGA movement. He is a descendant of many South African oligarchs who desires power and an oligarchy. Musk supported the DOGE movement that crippled millions of jobs and harmed the lives of tons of Americans, especially black women. Black women lost at least 600,000 jobs during the Trump second term alone. That fact alone makes me totally against the agenda of Trump as we are duty bound from God to defend the humanity and dignity of black women as a black human being myself. Musk is a deficit hawk who has harmed the regulatory state and this result we see the wild wild West terms of economic power in America. Trump has given Elon Musk federal contractions and other decision-making powers being impossible just decades ago. Musk and Trump have no shame in their extremism at all. Cuts to USAID has resulted in the deaths of innocent human life too.

Trump has come out to be even more pro-Putin. He has struck a diesel deal lifting some sanctions against Russia. He has restricted Starshield for Ukraine. He has cut intel warnings of Russian missile launches against Ukraine for several days. He demanded Ukraine to vote out Zelensky. He absolved Russia for helping Iranian attack U.S. soldiers. He has pushed Europe to resume buying Russian gas. More people know about Storm 1516 which is a tentacle of the Russian military intelligence agency GRU, which is active in France and Western Europe. Storm 1516 uses fabricated videos, phony websites, and anonymous influences to so doubt and bend reality. Trump overtly aiding the Kremlin in Russia's illegal war against Ukraine is complete treason in my mind as Putin continues to jail Russian dissidents plus promoted fascist policies.  Ironically, Burnham of the UK has stood up for Ukraine's President Zelensky. This battle between democracy and authoritarians is real. So, we want justice without tyranny.

I don't agree with a gender war propaganda that view all women are evil or all men are irredeemable. Anyone that subscribes to the notion that the opposite sex must always be dehumanized and disrespected forever is an agent. I don't care who does it. Agents are people that I don't support. So, that is why you won't have me using rhetoric in trying to divide men and women. Likewise, there are certain truths that must be acknowledged. One truth is that there is a global epidemic of rape, assault, and abuse of women worldwide. I have looked at the statistics, and the stats show that women suffer abuse, assault, rape, etc. a lot more than men (though many men are victims of these evils too). Some people use the phrase "not all men" as an excuse to minimize the suffering of women, and we can't do that. We have to listen to women, men, and all people who are victims of evils and do something about it. Anyone who hates all black women or all black men is a total agent as the black community is made of black people of many backgrounds. Another truth is that the mansophere (which promotes the lie that men by default must have a superior position in society because we are men) does a disservice to men as it promotes a disgusting version of manhood instead of healthy manhood in our society. Another truth is that boys and girls need encouragement to be their best selves without unfair demonization. It is the truth that many men and women plus all in the human race experience mental health issues and other struggles that merit therapy plus other solutions not shame. At the end of the day, we can give advice, but we can't force people to change. Healing and real change is up for the individual person who wants to heal. Healing doesn't require perfection. It requires a daily process of treating people right, rejecting false stereotypes, and defending the oppressed constantly. We have to acknowledge the humanity of men and women along with other truths in order to change society for the better.

Late October 2026 Updates.

There are a lot of discussion about Philip Anthony Mitchell. I heard of him for months before, but one YouTube video from the Atlanta Journal Constitution with a commentary from a black woman journalist inspired me to discuss about him. He is part of the new generation of megachurch pastors who want to deemphasize race, because he wants to preach the Gospel to all people (unlike many pastors from back in the day who wanted to use overt political and social activism in getting change done in American society). What is the truth about Pastor Mitchell? The truth is more nuisance. First, I will mention what I agree with Pastor Mitchell on, and later I will mention what I disagree with him on. Pastor Philip Anthony Mitchell is right that the Gospel should be presented by Christians, because the Lord Jesus Christ explicitly said to his followers to spread the Gospel to all creation before his ascension into Heaven. That is non-negotiable. That command from Jesus Christ is an edict for all believers. Therefore, Mitchell is correct on that point. He is right that human beings should repent and be better human beings. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. He is right that we shouldn't be ashamed of being Christians and inspire hope for the human race. What he is in error is to place one standard on Democrats and another standard on Republicans including Donald Trump (in him saying that Republican coordinated states are strongholds of godliness and those states governed by Democrats are filled with ungodliness when many GOP dominated states are using voter suppression policies and doing nothing to handle environmental racism) when both major parties have imperfections. No one political party on Earth has a monopoly on morality historically. Therefore, we should never worship Trump as Trump anti-DEI policies, anti-environmental policies, his tax breaks for the super-rich, and him trying to promote racist Confederate memorial (funded by our taxpayer dollars) are acts that are anti-Christ. Pastor Mitchell refuses to condemn the bad policies of Trump which a lot of megachurch pastors do. They believe in a colorblind ethic, but we have every God given right to both preach the Gospel and confront systematic racism, ecological oppression, and all injustices in the world without shying away from political controversies. The NT says to show the truth in season and out of season, not to be politically neutral when MAGA has fired over 600,000 black women (when Pastor Mitchell refuses to talk about). Therefore, Pastor Mitchell is not wrong in all things that he is talking about. He is right on a list of issues, but he fails to see that God is not colorblind as God created all colors.

Seeing and acknowledging color is not evil. Confronting racism in the church is not evil, because doing that will only strengthen the church to allow it to grow. Celebrating black culture is not evil. What is evil is to discriminate or hate a person based upon color or background. What is evil is ICE in many cases going too far in oppressing many immigrants including American citizens. What is evil is about Trump calling black people low IQ if we disagree with his views. Therefore, consistency matters. Democrats and Republicans should be held to the same standard without MAGA worship (as some Christian nationalists believe in). That is why we have a separation of church and state. God is color respectful as we should be in fighting the evils of racism, imperialism, sexism, and economic exploitation that plagues this planet of Earth. So, Pastor Philip Anthony Mitchell isn't wrong on everything that he has to so say (and I think he sincerely believes in God), but I don't agree with him on other issues which promotes a form of Christian Nationalism, even if Pastor Mitchell doesn't agree with that view.

I found out that Delois Yvonne Satchell Reid is my 4th cousin. She was born on April 18,1947 at Northampton County, Virginia. She married Frank Charles Reid (b. 1945) on December 6, 1963, at Eastville, Virginia. Her sister is my late 4th cousin Mary Ellen Harmon (1941-2026). She was called "Marelln." She lived to be 84 years old and passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at her residence. She was surrounded by family. She was born on August 13, 1941, and she graduated from Northampton Public High School in Machipongo. She moved to Westbury, Long Island, New York during the early 1970s. She was about worshiping God, teaching her children to be kind, respect others, and work hard. She was the secretary at the department of Social Services. She took Certified Nursing Aide courses and worked at Broadlawn Nursing Home in Amityville, Long Island until she moved back to Virginia. She worked at Heritage Hall and then Shore Memorial Hospital in Virginia. She was the president of the Missionary Board at African Baptist Church in Cheriton, Virginia under the leadership of the late Charles F. Mapp. She worked as a missionary and was a Deaconess in the early 2000s. She has the children of Sandra Harmon Williams (her husband is Robert) of Nassawadox, Virginia, Sylvia Harmon of Nassawadox, Virginia, and Timothy Reese Harmon of Brooklyn, New York City. Her grandchildren are Ashley Portier, Justin Elting, Johnny, Devion, Nasir and Ivyonna Bundick. Jordan and Carmelo Harmon. Her Great grandchildren are Carter, Zayne and Kade Elting. Kali Michelle, Jamari, Kaylie and Royalty Bundick. Her sisters are Evelyn Weeks (Thomas) Delois Reid (Frank) and Robin Baker (Calvin); Nieces; Cynthia Davis (Kevin), Karen Reid; Nephews Anthony Reid (Elsie), Gary Reid(deceased), Donald Baker (Shannon), Darrell Baker (Tonya). Bonus Babies Desireé and De’Asia Kellam, Chimaya Parker. She has a host of cousins.

One of them most racist actions of the Trump administration is its plan to return a Confederate memorial to Arlington National Cemetery. The Confederacy was made up of a group of traitors who wanted to maintain slavery forever as cited in their own constitutions and their leaders. No taxpayer money should fund sending a Confederate memorial on federal grounds at Arlington National Cemetery. The statue was unveiled in 1914. It is a racist statue too. It shows a bronze woman with olive leaves standing on a 32-foot pedestal and was designed to represent the American South. Some of the figures also on the statue include a black woman depicted in a racist, sexist fashion as "Mammy" holding what is said to be the child of a white officer and an enslaved man following his owner to war. Such a statue has no place on hallowed grounds like the Arlington National Cemetery. Anyone defending this policy is a racist or a traitor. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth supports this plan proving that he is a racist again. Opposing the Confederacy has nothing to do with erasing American history. Ironically, Trump and Hegseth want to erase American history that deals with America's true history of slavery, black activism against white racism, and the heroic Americans who stood up against slavery, racism, fascism, and other evils in our society. The statue was named after Confederate traitor and solider Moses Ezekiel. This act from Trump is similar to allowing Nazi soldier statues on Jewish cemeteries.

Golf grew by 1900 in the world society. Golf became an international sport as it appeared at the Paris Olympic Games in 1904. Later, it disappeared from the Olympic program for more than a century. Golf spread in America and Scotland plus England. There was the Professional Golfers' Association of Great Britain and Ireland being created in 1901. It helped organize professional golf. By 1913, 20 year old American amateur Francis Ouimet defeated British stars Harry Vardon and Ted Ray in the U.S. Open. His victory helped to popularize golf in America. By 1916, the Professional Golfers' Association of America (PGA of America) was formed. The first GPA Championship was held in 1916 too. The U.S. Open resumed after interruptions caused by World War I in 1919. By the 1920s and 1930s, golf grown its major championships and international stars. There were new courses, clubs, equipment improvements, and increased newspaper coverage. The first Ryder Cub was created among teams in America and Great Britain in 1927. The competition later expanded to Ireland and all of continental Europe. In the 1920s and 1930s, Bobby Jones became one of golf's most celebrated amateurs, winning many major championships. By 1930, Jones achieved the historic single calendar-year Grand Slam of his era by winning the U.S. Open, U.S. Amateur, The Open Championship, and the Amateur Championship. In 1934, there was the inaugural Masters Torunament being help at Augusta National Golf Club. Early golf legends were Harry Vardon, James Braid, and J. H. Taylor—the celebrated British “Great Triumvirate”—dominated major championships. American stars such as Walter Travis also emerged.

Bobby Jones became one of golf's greatest amateur champions, winning major titles while maintaining an amateur status. Walter Hagen helped establish the professional golfer as a major sporting personality. His success and charisma elevated the standing of professionals. Gene Sarazen emerged as another leading American champion. The defining achievement of the decade came in 1930, when Bobby Jones won the U.S. Open, The Open Championship, the U.S. Amateur, and the British Amateur in the same calendar year. This extraordinary feat became known as the Grand Slam of his era.

Other important developments included: The Masters Tournament was established at Augusta National Golf Club, which Jones helped create. The inaugural Masters took place in 1934. The Great Depression reduced spending on leisure and affected golf clubs and tournament finances. Professional golfers gained visibility, but the sport remained expensive and inaccessible to much of the population. Equipment and course design continued to evolve, laying the foundations for modern competitive golf. The decade established the Masters as a major annual event and cemented Jones's place among the sport's defining figures. World War II interrupted golf's international schedule. The Masters and U.S. Open were suspended during parts of the war, and the Ryder Cup was not held from 1939 until 1947. After the war: Golf tournaments gradually resumed, and clubs rebuilt their activities. Ben Hogan emerged as a technically exceptional player whose disciplined swing influenced generations. Sam Snead became one of the era's most successful and enduring champions. The professional game benefited from growing postwar prosperity, particularly in the United States. The 1940s were a bridge between golf's prewar traditions and the more commercial, media-driven sport that followed. The 1950s brought a major change: golf began reaching audiences far beyond the people who played it. Arnold Palmer became a charismatic star, attracting fans with his aggressive style and approachable personality. His supporters became known as “Arnie's Army.” Ben Hogan won major championships after surviving a near-fatal car accident in 1949, becoming a symbol of determination and technical excellence. Babe Didrikson Zaharias helped popularize women's professional golf and was a dominant figure in the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), founded in 1950. Television broadcasts made major tournaments more accessible, turning leading golfers into household names. Golf participation grew alongside the expansion of suburban communities and public recreational facilities. Golf was increasingly becoming a spectator sport as well as a leisure activity. Television also set the stage for the enormous commercial growth of later decades.

By the 1960s, Jack Nicklaus emerged as Palmer's great rival. His power, strategic thinking, and consistency made him one of the most successful golfers in history. Gary Player of South Africa became a major international champion, helping demonstrate that elite golf was no longer confined to Britain and the United States. Arnold Palmer continued to draw huge audiences, creating a celebrated rivalry among Palmer, Nicklaus, and Player. Professional golf benefited from greater television coverage, sponsorships, and prize money. Women's professional golf continued to develop, although women received far less coverage and financial support than men. The decade helped establish golf's modern celebrity culture, with rivalries and personalities becoming as important to the public as tournament results.

During the 1970s, Golf expanded internationally and underwent significant changes in equipment and professional organization. Jack Nicklaus continued to dominate, winning major championships and extending his record-setting career. Tom Watson became one of the leading players of the decade. Seve Ballesteros rose from Spain, bringing creativity, imagination, and a distinctive short game to international competition. In 1979, the Ryder Cup began including players from continental Europe, rather than limiting the British and Irish side to players from those nations. This helped make the competition far more balanced and globally compelling. The PGA Perimeter-weighted irons, improved club designs, and emerging graphite shafts began changing how equipment was made and used. The professional game was becoming more international, while equipment innovation gradually altered the skills and strategies required to compete.

The 1980s saw golf become a more prominent global entertainment business. Seve Ballesteros inspired a new generation of European golfers and helped establish Europe's Ryder Cup identity. Greg Norman of Australia became one of the sport's most recognizable international stars. Nancy Lopez remained an influential figure in women's golf, helping attract attention to the LPGA. Satellite television and improved broadcasting technology brought tournaments to audiences across continents. Golf equipment manufacturers invested heavily in marketing, and sponsorships became central to professional tournaments. The Ryder Cup became particularly compelling as Europe developed into a formidable rival to the United States. Golf was no longer primarily a contest between two national traditions; it was increasingly a global sport.

The 1990s were one of the most influential decades in modern golf. Tiger Woods won the 1997 Masters by 12 strokes at age 21, setting a tournament record for the winning margin and becoming the youngest champion in Masters history. Woods brought unprecedented attention to golf, attracting younger and more diverse audiences. Annika Sörenstam emerged as one of the defining players in women's golf, beginning a career that would help raise the LPGA's international profile. Ernie Els, Vijay Singh, and other international players strengthened golf's increasingly global character. Metal woods, especially titanium drivers, and multilayer golf balls helped improve distance and performance. The Ryder Cup became a major international sporting spectacle, with European victories demonstrating the strength of the expanded team. Tiger Woods's arrival was especially significant: he combined exceptional athleticism, technical precision, mental discipline, and global marketing appeal. His influence extended well beyond tournament results, affecting participation, sponsorships, and golf's public image.

Tiger Woods dominated much of the early 2000s, creating one of the most celebrated periods in golf history. In 2000, Woods won the U.S. Open by 15 strokes, one of the most extraordinary performances in major-championship history. In 2000–2001, he held all four men's professional major titles simultaneously across consecutive seasons, an achievement commonly called the Tiger Slam. It was not a calendar-year Grand Slam. He ultimately won 15 men's major championships, second only to Jack Nicklaus's 18. Women's golf gained new audiences through players such as Annika Sörenstam, while Michelle Wie became a prominent young star. Golf expanded across Asia, particularly South Korea, Japan, and China, with growing participation and professional success. High-definition television, advanced course maintenance, GPS technology, and improved club fitting changed both the spectator experience and everyday play. The decade demonstrated how a single superstar could elevate an entire sport while international competition increasingly challenged the traditional dominance of American and British golfers.

The 2010s brought a new generation of stars and a major milestone for golf's international status. Rory McIlroy became one of the leading players of his generation, winning four men's majors by 2014. Jordan Spieth won the Masters and U.S. Open in 2015, joining an elite group of young champions. Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, and other powerful, athletic players helped make distance and physical preparation increasingly important. In 2016, golf returned to the Olympics at Rio de Janeiro after a 112-year absence. Justin Rose won the men's gold medal, while Inbee Park won the women's gold. Women's golf continued to grow internationally, with South Korean players achieving exceptional success on the LPGA Tour. Data analytics, launch monitors, GPS devices, advanced club fitting, and social media changed how players trained and fans followed tournaments. The decade showed that elite golf had become genuinely international, with champions emerging from Europe, Asia, Australia, and the Americas. Golf entered the 2020s amid major disruption and structural change. The COVID-19 pandemic (2020): Many tournaments were postponed or played without spectators. Golf also experienced increased recreational interest as people sought outdoor activities. A new generation of champions: Scottie Scheffler, Jon Rahm, Collin Morikawa, and other stars established themselves among the world's best players. LIV Golf launches (2022): Backed by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, LIV introduced a rival professional circuit featuring substantial prize money, team competitions, and a different tournament format. A divided professional game: Players' moves between LIV Golf and established tours triggered disputes over eligibility, ranking points, contracts, and the future organization of men's professional golf. The PGA Tour and LIV subsequently explored a potential framework for cooperation, but a full unification remained unresolved. The Ryder Cup: Europe defeated the United States in Rome in 2023, reinforcing the competition's importance as one of golf's biggest international sporting events. Olympic success: At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Scottie Scheffler won men's gold, Tommy Fleetwood silver, and Hideki Matsuyama bronze.  This period made professional golf more financially competitive than ever, but also raised questions about tradition, player loyalty, commercial interests, and the need for a more unified sport.

Several major events made 2025 an especially memorable year. Rory McIlroy won the Masters, completing the career Grand Slam by winning all four men's professional majors at least once. He became the sixth man to accomplish the feat in the modern era of the four-major Grand Slam. Scottie Scheffler won the PGA Championship and The Open Championship, reinforcing his position among the era's dominant players. J.J. Spaun won the U.S. Open, securing his first major championship. Europe won the Ryder Cup 15–13 at Bethpage Black in New York, becoming the first visiting team to win the competition since 2012. TGL, an indoor, technology-driven team golf league co-founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, completed its inaugural season, offering a different way to watch and experience professional golf. McIlroy's Masters victory was particularly significant because the Grand Slam had eluded him for 11 years after his fourth major title in 2014. It was a landmark moment in the history of modern golf.

As of October 2026, golf combines more than a century of competitive tradition with a rapidly changing commercial and technological environment. Professional competition: The PGA Tour, DP World Tour, LIV Golf, and major championships remain central to the professional landscape, although the relationships between tours continue to evolve. LIV Golf's financial uncertainty: In September 2026, LIV Golf filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the United States, creating further uncertainty about the future of the rival league. The major championships: The Masters, PGA Championship, U.S. Open, and The Open Championship remain the four men's majors. In 2026, Aronimink Golf Club in Pennsylvania hosted the PGA Championship. Technology and performance: Launch-monitor data, artificial intelligence-assisted analysis, advanced golf balls, and custom-fitted clubs are increasingly important to elite players and recreational golfers. Women's golf: The LPGA and other women's professional circuits continue to develop international audiences and produce elite champions. Access and sustainability: Golf organizations and course operators face continuing challenges involving affordability, water use, environmental management, and attracting younger players. The sport is still negotiating the balance between preserving its traditions and adapting to new business models, technology, and audience expectations. The future of professional golf will depend in part on whether competing tours can establish a more coherent structure for players and fans.

Changing Times.

We do know what we are up against. We have Super PACs and other corporate groups spending about 2 billion dollars on this year's midterm elections. That is the most ever for a midterm cycle. This money comes from misleading ads from crypto, AI, Elon Musk's poltical machine, and even from AIPAC (when some of their members falsely view dissent with the Netanyahu regime as equivalent to anti-Semitism). Organized money in campaign can be a threat to our democracy. We can defeat Trumpism. Decades ago, Reaganism was popular. I was alive when Reagan was President when I was in elementary school. We knew of his sophisticated, far right rhetoric, his extremism, and his abysmal civil rights record. Yet, Trumpism is much worse than Reaganism, because the MAGA movement acts more cultic to bash anyone who dissent with Trump on any issue. Trump mocking a man killed by a tiger, refusing to condemn his followers assaulting a woman in an Ohio campaign rally, and allying with sellouts to promote his agenda represent the hypocrisy, the bigotry, and the corruption found in the Trump regime. At the end of the day, it is about the people having a better life, having an economy that benefits for all people, having racial justice, protecting the rights of women and immigrants, and believing that health care is a universal human right that ought to be accessible to all people. Never giving up is part of our philosophy, and we shall be victorious in the end.

There is a recent school shooting in and Oregon Elementary School. The suspect has been killed, and multiple people are injured including children. Unfortunately, in America, we have an epidemic of mass shooting shootings in schools, theaters, churches, and other places nationwide. The location of the shooting took place in Bend, Oregon. The investigation is very early. The Silver Rail Elementary school is experiencing massive sadness and a disturbing reality that we Americans have to be on guard for such evil shootings. Mass shootings don't discriminate. They have happened in urban locations, rural places, and suburban areas. These shootings target people of every color, sex, and background. The preparators of such actions are cowards, murderers, and reprehensible people who have taken innocent human lives. The FBI and ATF will investigate the shooter, to figure out if the shooter has a digital footprint in a phone, social media accounts, etc., and other aspects of that person's life.

Trump stumps for election deniers in Arizona. Some good news is that Judge Kelly (a U.S. District Judge) issued a preliminary injunction blocking the Trump administration's ban and allowing reporters from CNN, Politico, and MS Now to keep their White House access while their lawsuit moves forward. The judged ruled that the revocation of nearly 80 reporters' hard passes likely violated the First Amendment (retaliation and viewpoint discrimination) and the Fifth Amendment or due process. The injunction keeps press credentials active during ongoing litigation, through the Department of Justice filed a notice of appeal. The order doesn't force the White House to provide access to restrict areas like the Oval Office or the Air Force. So, the judge extends the block on the Trump White House ban of MS Now, CNN, and Politico.

Pete Hegseth has perverted religion as an excuse to support Trump and Christian nationalism. Christian nationalism has nothing to do with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It has to do with an agenda to force religion onto people in an inappropriate way, it is about promoting the ideals of Trumpism, it is about a disregard of the separation of church and state, and it is about hypocrisy (in claiming to be the moral police, but excuses Trump's immorality as supporting Trump as a President not a pastor). Pete Hegseth cheered about the Iran War, wanted to live stream an execution (which is grotesque sadomasochism), and desires hatred of diversity (when diversity is one touchstone of the strength of America). Not a single word of Jesus Christ or any words from the Gospel condone migrants being in chains, families being separated, black people being victims of police killings unjustly, etc. At the end of the day, human beings want freedom, liberty, legitimate boundaries, a sense of purpose, integrity, and going about to have a better society than the past and the present.

Early voting has started in Georgia now. J.D. Vance supports Mike Collins, and Jon Ossoff is opposed to the agenda of Collins. The rising inflation is not enough for many people to support the GOP.  A large majority of Americans don't agree with Iranian war, the corruption, the high inflation, and the affordability crisis (involving housing, health care, education, etc.). Real wages are in decline for months and gas prices have grown. Many polls show Ossoff leading against Collins. This is a major Senate race. Ossoff said that he is committed to serve a full six-year Senate term if he is re-elected. He doesn't want to run for President. Collins is a bizarre person, because refused to say that Trump lost the 2020 election. Ossoff said that he is open to pack the Supreme Court if necessary. Both Ossoff and Collins experienced a contentious debate about many political issues from racism, the Iranian war, the Epstein files, and other matters.

Life in our Times.

The 2026 midterms elections have seen a record-low approval rating among the American populace. We have seen races in Kansas, Nebraska, Texas, and even in South Carolina being in play. That is unprecedented in political history for decades. While this is going on, the authoritarian Trump wants Zelensky to be replaced in a middle of a war, because he wants to cozy up with the dictator Putin. The MAGA movement, over the years, has been divided and fractured. Some people who have voted for Trump three times have decided to either vote blue or vote locally. One Pew Research Center poll found that only 30% of American adults approve of Trump, with 68% disapproving. We have Harvard economics professor Jason Furman saying that the investments into AI data centers are crowding out other forms of vital investment. Furman wrote that real construction spending is growing or declining in many parts of the U.S. economy (like health care construction, educational construction, residential construction, etc., going down). Without diversification of the economy, there is a risk of financial downturn. Some predict an AI bubble if AI technology is not regulated. The Trump Justice Department openly is flouting judicial review. That means that the DOJ wants to defy legal rulings and testing the constitutional policies that maintain our government. At the end of the day, people desire thorough change that will benefit the people without solely benefiting the oligarchy. There is a massive voter turnout in Texas too.

Trump wants to promote the diesel oil deal with Putin. The reason is that the diesel prices are high over tariffs and the continuation of the unjust Iranian war. Also, people are fighting back against Putin's aggression. NATO's top military commander General Alexus Grynkewich warns Putin that NATO will destroy anything and everything if Russia attacks a NATO country overtly. He said this especially in light of the events happening in Poland, like Russian drones going into Polish airspace illegally. Now, Poland is preparing for the possibility of war. Poland is trying to use legislation to strengthen military readiness, accelerate troop movements, and improve coordination between the armed forces and domestic security agencies. In our time, we have seen the growth of a new generation of directed energy weapons to try to stop drone attacks. Trump using appeasement with Putin is very telling, as Trump respects authoritarians like Xi, Kim Jong Il, and Vladimir Putin. Also, Putin's war machine funds its oil industry that helps to aid Iranian forces killing American soldiers. Zelensky is not perfect, but he has shown more than enough courage and grit to defend Ukraine against an illegal Russian invasion.

Trump via the DOJ has issued an antitrust threat to NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, and Fox News, because these networks opposed Trump's White House ban on media organizations that disagree with him on political issues. He wants to stop the media from disagreeing with him on the basis of antitrust grounds over a boycott that they carried out last month in response to his ban of three news outlets from the White House. This agenda of Trump is against free speech. The DOJ accused the networks of violating the Sherman Act, which was a law passed more than 100 years ago to stop monopolies in major American business and protect competition. The DOJ has no case, because the Trump administration is using retaliation against media companies.  The media boycott has nothing to do with influencing the market. The White House claims that the press bans by citing standards and national security. There will be a decision by one court, and there will be appeals by both sides. If the President can who is invited to various rules, then he will determine which coverage gets played (causing state-run propaganda television). We don't need state run TV but a vigorous independent press that speaks truth to power, irrespective of who is in office.

It has been 30 years in the making. 30 years ago, Tupac Shakur was viciously murdered by cowardly people. Now, Keefe D has been convicted, and he has been sentenced to 40 years to life for involvement in the death of Tupac Shakur. Tupac's family has been emotional about the trial and conviction, because it was their blood family member who was taken from them unjustly. Tupac Shakur was the most influential hip hop artist of all time who showed music, worked in community projects, and was very passionate about what he believed. He made great contributions and mistakes, and he admitted to these mistakes. His lineage came from the Black Panthers as both of his parents were members of the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense. He was born in New York City and learned more about life in Baltimore (where he promoted HIV/AIDS activism, fighting crime, and standing up against oppression), and California. California became home to him culturally, especially. I've been to California before in real life back in 2019, and California has gorgeous scenery without question. Keefe D's niece was Orlando "Baby Lane" Anderson, a member of the South Side Compton Crips gang, who was also suspected in the murder of Tupac Shakur. Now, Keefe D will be placed into prison for a long time. Justice wasn't denied. Also, we are clear that the FBI illegally monitored Tupac, his family, and other progressive activists for decades. Like Tupac said, he may not change the world, but he will spark the brain that will change the world.

Rest in Power Brother Tupac Shakur.

There is breaking news about Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. Her home has searched her home in Washington, D.C. on Monday. The search was part of a criminal investigation on allegations of fraud, according to a law enforcement source with direct knowledge of the matter, who told MS Now. Omar said that she is fine after agents wearing Homeland Security Investigations jackets. There is no question about what this search is. Trump has a hatred of progressive black women who are intelligent and outspoken to oppose the agenda of Trumpism. Omar has been a victim of lies and smears by the far right, and the Trump administration wants to use political intimidation under the guise of a "search warrant" to try to curtail dissent against the Trump administration. Also, Trump's overtly racist remarks about Somalis again show his motivation for using the DOJ as his acolytes in trying to gain more power in his unitary executive agenda. The agents want to do a criminal fraud investigation into Omar's immigration paperwork. Jackie Rogers, a spokesperson for Omar's office, said the search was an outrageous abuse of power and an escalation of the weaponization of federal law enforcement to target political enemies. Ilhan Omar is the first Somali American elected to Congress, and she has never been convicted of any federal crime. Trump's personal attacks against Omar, black women journalists, and black progressives show his insecurity and misogynoir. We stand with black women.

Seeing the Bigger Picture.

As we enter Thanksgiving in this year, we witness its legacy as complicated. Thanksgiving ceremonies has existed among the human family for millennia, found in a multiplicity of cultural and religious traditions. That is why many of us give praise and thanks to God before eating food or drinking water. In our generation, Thanksgiving is celebrated in America, Canada, Saint Lucia, Libera, Australia, and worldwide. It's a holiday with a long history and whose popularity in America is paramount. On that time, there are parades, football games, family reunions, visits to restaurants, vacations, and other events transpire during that time of the year. Long before the Pilgrims landed in America, special thanksgiving ceremonies have existed during the English Reformation in the reign of Henry VIII. The Reformation started, because the leadership of the Roman Catholic Church promoted indulgences and other false doctrines that Martin Luther and other religious leaders left the Catholic Church to establish their own Protestant movement. To this very day, the Roman Catholic Church wants all Protestants and Baptists to accept the leadership of the Vatican, but there is only head of the church, who is the Lord Jesus Christ. The Puritans celebrated the Days of Fasting and the Days of Thanksgiving. After the failure of the Jesuit-inspired Gunpowder Plot of 1605, many people had an annual Day of Thanksgiving in 1606. The English settlers at Berkeley Hundred in Charles City County, Virginia, celebrated Thanksgiving as early as 1619. The Thanksgiving that we know about relates to the multiday festival in 1621 in Plymouth Colony. It was promoted by a good harvest. At that time, the Wampanoag Native Americans had a mutual defense treaty with the colonists. Along with the last Patuxent, the Wampanoag had helped the English colonists to get through the winter by giving them food in exchange for an alliance and protection against the rival Narragansett tribe. In the near future, I will describe the long, real history of the 1621 Thanksgiving.

Our political reality has been caused by tons of factors. When America was officially made in 1776, it had the contradiction of claiming to promote equality and justice while legally having slavery and promoting oppressing against Native Americans, black people, Latino people, Asian people, and other minorities. So, two groups of Americans existed filled with those who wanted justice and those who didn't. The political debates among Federalists and Anti-Federalists led to the creation of the Bill of Rights and the rest of the United States Constitution. Later, early parties were formed (like the Whigs, etc.) being evolved into Republicans and Democrats. George Washington ironically didn't want to be part of any political party. Back then in the 19th century, Democrats would be more conservative and the Republicans would be more liberal. Andrew Jackson was a Democrat, but he was a slave owners, a racist, had hatred of Native Americans, and a pro-austerity extremist. Abraham Lincoln was a Republican and changed to be more progressive as time went on. There were soldiers who were black, white, and people of every color in the Union Army who defeated the Confederacy during the American Civil War. By the 20th century, people fought for justice. Republicans had many people who fought corporate corruption, and both parties were in support of WWI. There were conservative Republicans too like Taft and Hebert Hoover. Hoover tried to stop the Great Depression, but he was very unpopular.

FDR was President for four terms and transformed the Democratic Party to embrace more progressive views. FDR formed a coalition of black people, Latinos, some elderly, labor leaders, Roman Catholics, and other minorities to grow the Democratic Party. This era lasted from 1932 to 1968. By the 1960s, the Civil Rights Movement had caused Congress to pass new laws in favor of civil rights and voting rights. The conservative movement grew too and had people like Ronald Reagan and the libertarian Barry Goldwater to promote small government and even oppose Medicare. 1968 changed the Democratic Party forever causing many of the white New Deal Democrats to vote for Nixon out of abhorrence of the anti-war protesters, the civil rights policies, and the rebellions of 1968. Also, Lyndon Baines Johnson deserves much of the blame for Nixon being President too, because he was so stubborn to refuse to oppose the unjust Vietnam War. LBJ, Bundy, Harriman, McNamara, and other oligarchs allowed America to be in the Vietnam War for years causing economic and psychological havoc for the American people and the Vietnamese people respectively. The Republicans used the Southern Strategy (promoted by Strom Thurmond and Lee Atwater) by the late 1960s to get more votes among many people in the South or conservative by exploiting social issues in causing division among the American populace. Nixon was an Eisenhower Republican, but his involvement in Watergate and other issues caused him to resign from office. Gerald Ford was a President, and Jimmy Carter was President. Ironically, Jimmy Carter was one of the first major Presidents who called himself a born again Christian. Carter was a Democrat. By the 1980s, the Conservative Revolution grew with Reagan being its new leader. Reagan was President for 2 terms. More polarization happened in the 1980s and 1990s by Newt Gingrich, Rush Limbaugh, and other far right activists. Bush Sr. was President and Bill Clinton won. Bill Clinton was President for 2 terms. Many things that Clinton did was right (like investments in health care, education, and using policies to cause massive economic growth) and he made mistakes (like his policies on welfare, the Rwanda genocide situation, committing adultery, etc.). Clinton was a center-left President who was the bridge between the 20th and 21st centuries. Bush Jr. was like Reagan, but his foreign policy disasters and domestic disasters with the Great Recession caused his 2nd term to end in ruination. Barack Obama was President for 2 terms and was a progressive except on foreign policy. Obama was ironic, because he said some of the most conciliatory speeches on race as President, but the Tea Party and MAGA extremists still viewed him as promoting racial strife (which is a lie). Trump won and caused horrendous mayhem in America, Biden won in 2020 causing decreases in poverty and massive investments in America. The MAGA's movement growth and hatred of a woman in power were some of the reasons why Trump has his 2nd term. There is massive political polarization now because some people are more concerned with the status quo than equality and justice for all people.

Chadwick Boseman was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016. It progressed to stage IV before 2020. Back then, many people didn't know that he had it except a small number of non-family members. During treatment, he had multiple surgeries and chemotherapy. He continued to work and completed production of many films like Marshall, Da 5 Bloods, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, and others. Chadwick Boseman passed away at his Los Angeles home as a result related to colon cancer on August 28, 2020, with his wife and his family by his side. He was just 43 years old when he passed away. He died intestate, and his estate was governed by California law with the representation of Ledward, his widow. A public memorial service was held on September 4, 2020, in Anderson, South Carolina. Speakers included Boseman's childhood pastor as well as Deanna Brown-Thomas, daughter of James Brown, whom Boseman portrayed in Get on Up. The city announced plans for the creation of a permanent art memorial at the service. Many fellow actors, fellow actresses, and other celebrities paid tribute to Chadwick Boseman on social media following the announcement of his death. They included his Marvel Cinematic Universe co-stars. His alma mater, Howard University, celebrated his life as him experiencing a personal journey from student to superhero. His death was in the same year as other celebrities' passings like Kobe Bryant and Naya Rivera. Major League Baseball and the Los Angeles Dodgers, the franchise for which Jackie Robinson played when the team was its former home of Brooklyn, New York, issued statements honoring Boseman (in light of his acclaimed portrayal of the iconic baseball and civil rights activist Jackie Robinson). When Lewis Hamilton claimed pole position in qualifying at the 2020 Belgian Grand Prix, he dedicated his lap to Boseman, as well as his race win the following day. Henry McMaster, the Governor of South Carolina, ordered the Statehouse flags to be lowered to half-staff on August 30, 2020 in honor of Boseman. Ryan Coogler, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, and Michael B. Jordan all played tribute to Boseman (including in the film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever which was released in 2022. Chadwick Boseman at a young age was an icon of acting being one of the greatest actors of the 21st century.

Chadwick Boseman's life document the necessity for all of us to take care of our health, especially black men. Black men in America disproportionately are harmed by colon cancer and prostate cancer. Symptoms of colon cancer (as explained by Dr. Frita McRae Fisher. She is a medical doctor who is quadruple board certified. She has board certifications in nephrology, internal medicine, and obesity medicine) include fever, fatigue, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, unexplained weight loss, blood in stool, diarrhea, constipation, no symptoms at all early on, etc. Many men are afraid of going to the doctor because of fear, stigma, and ego. Yet, going to the doctor is a necessity among us all of any age. All people among all backgrounds have to know their biometrics in order to find out if they have illnesses or not. Early detection has saved lives for generations. According to a report from the American Cancer Society, black people have the highest rates of colorectal cancer of any racial or ethnic group in America. Incidence rates for black men are 24 percent higher than white men, while death rates for black men are 47 percent higher than white men. The reason for these risk factors are diet, environment, stress, genetics, not enough people getting regular colon cancer screening.  That is why many men, especially black men, are tested for colon cancer and prostate cancer as early as their early to mid 40s. In our generation, all people are encouraged to get screened for colon cancer and prostate cancer at the age of 45. Black people, regardless of sex, are more likely to have colon cancer at the age of 50.

We have a great future in track and field. The torch has been passed to many track and field athletes like Melissa Jefferson-Wooden. At the age of 25 years old. She has won gold in many World Championships and one Olympic gold medal in the 4 x 100m women's relay race. In 2026, Jefferson-Wooden created for her one of the greatest years of her career. Jefferson-Wooden opened her season on June 4, when she was second to Julien Alfred in 22.17 seconds in the women's 200 meters at the 2026 Diamond League event in Rome. On June 7, in the Diamond League, Jefferson-Wooden won over 100 meters in 10.84 seconds (+0.8), at the Bauhausgalan in Stockholm, her fastest season opener over the distance. On July 4, she won the 100 meters at the Prefontaine Classic, winning in a photo finish ahead of Sha'Carri Richardson and Adaejah Hodge in 10.78 seconds (+0.0). Choosing to only compete in the 200 meters at the U.S. Outdoor Championships in a season without USA team trials, she won the title in 21.69 seconds ahead of Cambrea Sturgis and Camryn Dickson. On August 23, she won over 100 meters equaling her season’s best time of 10.78 seconds (0.6m/s) to win ahead of Alfred and Richardson in the Diamond League at the 2026 Kamila Skolimowska Memorial in Silesia, Poland. On August 27, she ran 10.70 seconds but was edged out in a photo-finish by Alfred in the 100 meters at the Weltklasse Zürich, her first defeat over 100 meters since the 2024 Olympic final after a run of 11 consecutive victories at the distance. On September 12, Jefferson-Wooden won the 100 meters ahead of Alfred at the inaugural World Ultimate Championship in Budapest, running a season's best 10.62 seconds. The following day, she returned to complete the sprint double by winning the 200 meters final, with her time of 21.47 seconds making her the third-fastest woman on the all-time list. Following the race, Jefferson-Wooden expressed shock at her time, stating, "I was thinking 21.6 low, 21.5. I skipped all over 21.5 and went 21.4. I mean I'll take it!" Other track and field did great in 2026 like Julien Aflred, Noah Lyles, Keely Hogkinson, Josh Kerr, Kenneth Bednarek, Busang Collen Kebinatshipi, and Masai Russell (who won many races in the 100m hurdles throughout 2026). Mondo Duplantis, Carmryn Roger, Valarie Sion, Chase Jackson ,Kristjan Ceh, Andy Diaz Hernandez, Rumesh Tharanga Pathirage, Gabby Thomas, Audrey Werro, Alison Dos Santos, Shericka Jackson, and others of other track and field athletes prove once again that the younger generation is growing track and field into another level as we near the half century mark of the 21st century.

MS Now was once MSNBC until 2026. It is a cable news channel owned by Versant. It has documentaries, new coverage, and opinion journalism. It has a youthful spirit. Its studios are in Versant's world headquarters at 229 West 43rd Street, New York City. It has a bureau in Washington, D.C., co-located with that of former parent division NBC News. Technical operations are handled from CNBC's studios in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. As a cable news channel, it is ranked second in ratings, well behind FOX News and ahead of CNN. As of July 2026, The Rachel Maddow Show on MS Now was the 7th-ranked news program by number of viewers; the top 6 were all on FOX News. It was created in 1996 as a joint venture between NBC News and Microsoft. MS Now has given voice to many perspectives, especially black, brown, and other people of color. You noticed that their shows mention things on race, class, and other social issues that are rarely shown in the corporate media, except sometimes on CNN. By the late 2000s, the network had commentators like Keith Olbermann, Chris Matthews, David Gregory, Ed Schultz, Tamron Hall, and Rachel Maddow. By 2010, MSNBC surpassed CNN in primetime and overall viewership for the first time since 20001. By the 2020s, it expanded its news coverage with a newer generation of hosts like Antonia Hylton, Ari Melber, Alicia Menendez, Ayman Mohyeldin, Luke Russert, Symone Sanders-Townsend, and other human beings. MS NOW has been through issues. The recent 2026 Together in Texas event exempflied their advocacy for voting rights, equality, and social justice causes in general.

Early October 2026 News.

We should always condemn the October 7th attacks in Israel as terrorism, anti-Semitism, and expose the nature of the wickedness of Hamas. These attacks were more than painful, as Mayor Zohran Mamdani has said. These attacks were barbaric war crimes when men, women, and children were burned and murdered; many women were raped, and human beings were kidnapped as hostages. Also, it is important to note that Netanyahu has been complicit in war crimes against Palestinian people in Gaza, as documented by independent researchers, not just by the United Nations. Now, many West Bank Israeli settlers have vandalized lands and harassed Christians plus other people in the West Bank for the sake of power and control in the West Bank. Do I think what took place in Gaza was genocide? The answer is yes, because the Netanyahu regime used a policy of using overt aggressive war crimes to try to displace Palestinians from the Gaza resulting in the deaths of thousands of people in a systematic fashion. Therefore, both the Netanyahu regime and Hamas have committed war crimes in the Middle East. The innocent Palestinians and the innocent Israelis deserve much better than this. They deserve total equality and liberty wherefore both groups of people can live in true peace.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Guilfoyle pushed a Trump donor to wire $100,000 to an AMEX account. Kimberly Guilfoyle worked in the FOX News Network for years. She is now the U.S. ambassador to Greece and Donald Trump Jr.'s ex-fiancée. She has disputed the authenticity of the text messages published by the Wall Street Journal. The Trump donor has come forward to tell his side of the story. The Trump donor accused Guilfoyle of planning a quid pro quo plan. The donor is a Kentucky Republican radio host. The Wall Street Journal reported that Guilfloyle was owed tons of money to American Express just days before her Senate confirmation hearing. Kimberly Guilfoyle and her attorney have denied all allegations. The allegation is that she texted Eric Deters on July 3, 2025, six days before her hearing. Deters accused Guilfoyle as a grifter and accused the Trump family, including the President, of using their political power to enrich themselves. Deters has released many text messages to the public. With all of the Trump scandals going on now, it is the signs of the times.

Involving health, Dr. Rhonda Patrick is great anti-aging expert. She said that 70 percent of how you are is lifestyle, not genes. Most people are cutting years off their lives by doing many mistakes. They are drinking hot drinks in plastic. Sitting most of the day or being sedentary predicts early death more than diabetes, heart disease, and smoking. People with high cardio fitness live 5 years longer and are 80 percent less likely to die from major diseases. Going hard on cardio can improve the human heart like doing the Norwegian 4x4 4 minutes hard and 4 minutes easy (repeated 4 times). Hard exercise makes lactate being fertilizer for the brain. It can switch on BDNF, which helps the human brain to grow new cells. There is a year long study of adults over 60 showing the hippocampus, your memory center, shrank 1 to 2 percent if that group skipped cardio. The group doing cardio three times a week grew it by 1 to 2 percent. They reversed brain aging. People need to get adequate magnesium needed for DNA repair. Getting omega 3, adequate Vitamin D, getting 7-9 hours of sleep, recover, and other actions improve the cells too in improving human health.

ICE is investigating major voter registration groups. This is part of a campaign trying to discourage non-MAGA people from not voting. The DOJ is recruiting prosecutions to monitor polling places by November. This is wicked, and it is a voting suppression tactic. Today, the Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department now are filled with extremists and election deniers. The DOJ have fired innocent people and replaced them with compromised people including a person who was convicted of hacking voting data information in Florida. Trump's DOJ has been overtly compromised.  The GOP is filled with extremists. Ken Paxton is allied with Brandon Herrea, who is a Republican nominee in the Texas' 23rd Congressional District. Herrera said the COVID-19 wasn't bad enough, criticized women having the right to vote, and criticized mothers who speak out on politics in 2022. The Republicans are standing by Herrera. That shows me that the choice is clear during this 2026 election. Either we have justice or authoritarianism.

The New York Times reported that Trump advisers are helping a pro-Russia Party in Europe. The White House advisers Chris LaCivita and James Blair advised the Pro-Russian Alliance of the Independent Social Democrats in Republika Srpska. They came to Bosnia and Herzegovina to provide strategic election advice. Trump said that he didn't know about their outside consulting work and threatened to terminate them immediately if a conflict of interest is found. This comes after people have criticized Trump associates working with pro-Russian political factions like former campaign chair Paul Manafort's past disclosures regarding the Ukraine's Party of Regions. This comes as we near the 2026 midterm elections. Now, the Trump polls have been in freefall for many days. The new UK Prime Minister Burnham attacks neoliberal economics that was promoted by Thatcher and Reagan. Burnham wants unions, industrialization, no hedge funds running amok, and strengthening the social safety net.

Early October 2026 News.

There is the rise of the far-right person Flavio Bolsonaro in Brazil. Flavio is the son of the convicted criminal former President Jair Bolsonaro (who is serving a 27-year prison sentence for lading the 2022-2023 coup conspiracy). Flavio finished first with 47.0 percent of the valid votes against 45.2 percent for the incumbent President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva of the Workers Party (PT). Flavio received 56.1 million votes which was 2.25 million more than incumbent. This comes before the October 25 runoff election. This result was not confined to the presidential race. Bolsonaro's Liberal Party (PL) elected 121 federal deputies, up from 99 in 2022, the largest delegation won by any single party since the 1988 Constitution. In the Senate, it won 19 of the 54 seats in contention and will hold 28 of the 81 seats. That is more than a third of the chamber. The far right has won the first round of the governorships of most of the South and Southeast, the country's economic path.

Trump made the bizarre, evil comment that Iran could take out Los Angeles and San Diego. He does this because he is trying to justify the evil Iranian war that he started. Also, he wants to dehumanize the people of both cities when both cities are filled with human beings of cultural excellence, of grit, of resiliency, of spiritual strength, and of progressive values. It is plainly obviously that the MAGA movement is not a legitimate political movement sent to help humanity. It is a grotesque, obscene political cult that desires bigotry, racism, sexism, xenophobia, and voter suppression to be the order of the day. Trump is disgraceful and out of line to say such rhetoric. His rhetoric should be condemned by people from across the political spectrum. It is flabbergasting to witness how Trump can have any supporters of his policies, but we live in this reality. No American city is expendable and no American city should be destroyed. Los Angeles and San Diego represent a large portion of American culture, and we must always be aware to condemn Trump's views. Trump is the enemy of our democracy by promoting inflating growing tariffs, creating the illegal Iranian war, going about to promote suppression of mail-in voting, and he used slurs against COVID-19 including Mitch McConnell's wife. Trump represents the larger far right global movement which seeks to end democracy and promote the agenda of oligarchy and a new school technocratic monarchical system that suppresses the rights of the people, especially those who are progressives.

We should never support the ignorant, bigoted, and self-hating comments form Abraham Juste that are xenophobic against our black Diasporic brothers and sisters. We black Americans are a compassionate people, and many of us were legitimately outraged at Juste's nonsense. He should be boycotted. Yet, we should never go into the other extreme and show hatred of Africans and Afro-Caribbeans. They are part of our black family, and we African Americans will use Juste's nonsense as motivation to fight the good fight for justice. Two things can be true. Juste is wrong in his views, and the FBA movement has been filled with so much xenophobia, contradiction, and hypocrisy that I will never support the FBA or the ADOS movements at all. I am an African American who can trace my ancestry in America long before 1800. Therefore, we will make an example out of Juste by boycotting him. He should apologize to us black Americans, but I'm not expecting it. His friend, Brandon Brown, came forward to accuse Juste of more anti-black actions and anti-black attitudes. Anti-black sellouts like Juste make us aware that being pro-black is about what you do in favor of black liberation without apology.

Many faith leaders have marched against ICE detention. There has been a 96 mile interfaith pilgrimage against the Trump's immigration crackdown. The immigration policies of Trump are beyond mainstream discourse. It deals with cruelty, bigotry, xenophobia, and basically killings. We have ICE found on videotape killing human beings, both citizens and undocumented immigrants. We know that many ICE members have lax qualifications, and some refuse to turn on their body cameras. This march is taking place in California. The protesters want to close all detention centers and end cruel immigration policies. They have started at the immigration detention facility in the Mojave Desert called Adelanto ICE Processing Center. The facility is run by the Geo Group, a controversial private prison company. A large percentage of people at these detention centers don't have a criminal record. Tons of sources document the deplorable conditions, from sanitation conditions to lax medical service to people. Last September, Ismael Ayala-Uribe died being only 39, as he was denied medical care. It was ignored. Therefore, we need a comprehensive immigration solution that focuses on an orderly process, compassion, and a ban of ICE permanently.

Some sad and breaking news is that the iconic singer Frederick Anthony Jackson passed away on October 5, 2026. He set a large standard for R&B music and soul music. We know of his hit songs of the 1980s like You Are My Lady in 1985 and his song Love Survives with Irene Cara in 1989, which was part of the soundtrack of the 1989 film All Dogs Go to Heaven. He was born up North in Harlem, New York City, on October 2, 1956. He was trained as a gospel singer from an early age as many icons of music were trained in the church. He sang at White Rock Baptist Church of Harlem. He met Paul Lawrence at this church to be his record producer and songwriting partner. He sang in many groups in the 1970s like Laurence Jones Ensemble, the band Mystic Merlin, etc. before he had his solo career by 1981. He made music well into the 21st century like his single A Million Ways in 2019. He lived to be 70 years old. People of a certain age knew of his music during their adulthood. People like us younger folks like who are Older Millennials or younger knew of him from records, TV shows like Unsung, and hearing stories about his music from our parents and grandparents. Freddie Jackson was a private man, and his transcendent legacy is open to the world on how musical excellence will always stand the test of time.

Rest in Power Brother Freddie Jackson.

Shalamar...This Is For The Lover In You...Extended Mix...

October Updates.

In 2008, Chadwick Boseman moved to Los Angeles to pursue his film and acting career. He had a recurring role on the television role of Lincoln Heights as Nathaniel Ray Taylor, an army veteran with PTSD who was later revealed to be the son of the main character before re-enlisting. He also appeared in his first feature film in 2008, The Express: The Ernie Davis Story, as running back Floyd Little. He landed his first regular role in the 2010 television series Persons Unknown as the Marine Graham McNauire. In July 2013, Boseman's 2nd short film as director was Heaven. It premiered at the HollyShorts Film Festival. Boseman's breakthrough role existed in 2013, which he portrayed the lead role of the baseball icon Jackie Robinton. The film is called 42. Boseman had been directing an off-Broadway play in the East Village when he auditioned for the role and was considering giving up acting to pursue directing full-time. About twenty-five other actors had been seriously considered for the role, but director Brian Helgeland liked Boseman's bravery in choosing to read the most difficult scene, in which Robinson goes down a stadium tunnel and breaks a bat in anger, and cast him after he had auditioned twice. Part of the audition process involved playing baseball; Boseman had been involved with Little League as a child but was primarily a basketball player growing up, saying that in this part the casting directors likely noticed his athleticism rather than specifically baseball skills. Robinson's widow, Rachel Robinson, commented that Boseman's performance was like seeing her husband again. To replicate Robinson's mannerisms, Boseman trained for five months with professional baseball coaches who "would tape [his] practices every few weeks, and they would basically split-screen [his technique] with [Robinson's]" to allow him to compare. After having portrayed football player Little in The Express, Boseman was encouraged by stunt coordinator Allan Graf to approach running bases in the same way, as Robinson had also been a college football player. Upon taking the role, Boseman first spoke with Rachel Robinson, which he said was of great help in discovering the character. The same year, Boseman also starred in the independent film The Kill Hole, which was released in theaters a few weeks before 42.

Critics, even those who viewed the film negatively, felt that Boseman's being a relatively unknown actor was a benefit when playing an icon and an athlete; Mick LaSalle of San Francisco Chronicle wrote that "as [...] played by Chadwick Boseman, Robinson is a hero we can recognize", and Mary Pols for Time said that "Boseman is not a hugely close physical match to Robinson, except for perhaps in the power he conveys, but he's a great choice to play the ball player." The Guardian's Mike McCahill noted that "Boseman hits his key scenes out of the park", but felt the film would not interest people who are not baseball fans, with Dana Stevens of Slate suggesting that the film made black history "squeaky-clean" and did both Robinson and Boseman's performance as him a disservice. I completely disagree with these critics as the film 42 was outstanding and didn't sugarcoat the racism back then.

In 2014, Boseman starred in another sporting film, Draft Day, as fictional football player Vontae Mack. He had workshopped the Tupac Shakur jukebox musical Holler If Ya Hear Me in 2013, but did not continue to Broadway with it in order to take the role of James Brown in 2014's Get on Up. As Brown, Boseman did some singing and all of his own dancing, working with choreographer Aakomon Jones for five to eight hours a day over two months in preparation. Producer Mick Jagger also directed him on interacting with audiences when performing live music. He had not wanted to take a role in another biopic so soon after playing an icon in Robinson, saying he "wasn't looking to do it again for another 15, 20 years", but was sought out as director Tate Taylor's only choice. Co-star Dan Aykroyd, who had known Brown, praised Boseman's performance, saying that it was neither replication nor impression and that he "did not have to squint sitting across from [Boseman] to imagine that [he] was talking to [Brown]." Boseman also stayed in character between filming on set; Taylor said this was not a method acting approach, and more a necessity due to Boseman's holding his vocal cords unnaturally to imitate Brown's southern drawl.

His performance was praised as the highlight of a generally well received movie, with the Rotten Tomatoes critical consensus reading: "With an unforgettable Chadwick Boseman in the starring role, Get On Up offers the Godfather of Soul a fittingly dynamic homage." Among the critics was Time's Richard Corliss (hyperbolically) saying that Boseman "deserves a Pulitzer, a Nobel and instant election to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame." Eulogizing Boseman, Donald Clarke of The Irish Times said that "Get on Up tested every weapon in the actor's arsenal [and his] performance confirmed that, like a star from Hollywood's golden age, Chadwick Boseman could do it all and do it all with style."

Boseman had sold a thriller screenplay to Universal Pictures in 2014, which he continued to collaborate on with creative partner Logan Coles and planned to star in, and told The Guardian that he still wanted to be a director but would explore his acting career first, adding that "maybe it'll be easier if you're a successful actor." In 2016, he starred as Thoth, a deity from Egyptian mythology, in Gods of Egypt. Boseman was one of the few actors of color featured in the film, which had drawn criticism for using a predominantly white cast to portray Egyptian characters. Agreeing with the criticism, Boseman said this had motivated him to accept the role, to ensure one of the film's African characters would be played by someone of African descent. Boseman's own casting was criticized for falling under the "Magical Negro" stereotype. The Independent reported that Boseman shook his head while telling GQ in an interview that "people don't make $140 million movies starring black and brown people." It was his first largely CGI film, and he expressed that he preferred acting alongside people than with blue screens and prop stand-ins. The film was heavily criticized; Jordan Hoffman for The Guardian said that it lacks story or interesting characters, but "Boseman makes for nice comic relief as the witty Thoth", with Will Leitch of The New Republic saying that his then-upcoming Marvel Studios role may have to work "to make you forget he was ever in this movie." Perri Nemiroff for Collider said that Boseman shines as "the only cast member who really seems to understand the movie he's in."

In 2016, Boseman began portraying the Marvel Comics character T'Challa / Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Captain America: Civil War was his first film in a five-picture deal with Marvel Entertainment. He did not audition for the role, instead having a "discussion about what [Marvel] wanted to do and how [he] saw it and what [he] wanted to do." While working on Civil War, Boseman learned some Xhosa from John Kani, who played his father, and insisted on using the language for the character. Boseman also developed a Wakandan accent himself, and used it during the entire production "whether he was on camera or not." When asked by journalist Ryan Gilbey if he felt pressure not to "screw up" the beloved comics character, Boseman responded by saying: "It's more positive than that. It's more like: 'Seize it. Enjoy it.'" He told the Associated Press, though, that he more identified with the Black Panther's nemesis, Killmonger, knowing that his roots to his African past had been severed. Producer Kevin Feige explained that the Black Panther was included in Civil War "because [they] needed a third party. [It] needed fresh eyes [of a character] who wasn't embedded with the Avengers and who has a very different point of view than either Tony or Steve." Boseman's performance in Civil War was highly praised, though critics acknowledged the character's inclusion was largely to set up his upcoming headlining movie.

Boseman returned as the Black Panther in Black Panther (2018), directed by Ryan Coogler, which focused on the character and his home country of Wakanda in Africa. The film opened to great anticipation, becoming one of the highest-grossing films. The role earned Boseman a spot on the 2018 Time 100 as one of the world's most influential people, with Sean Combs writing his entry. It is seen as a landmark in being the first mega-budget movie to have a predominantly black cast and director, as well as the first superhero film to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture. The film received universal acclaim and Boseman was praised; Matthew Norman for the Evening Standard said that he "brings a measure of sub-Shakespearean gravitas to T'Challa's struggle to bear the weight of his crown"; Richard Lawson and Sight & Sound's Kelli Weston also noted the strength of gravitas Boseman gave to the performance. Weston added that he, "despite having the more thankless role [out of T'Challa and Killmonger], carries the film with a quiet dignity one might rightfully expect of a man raised to be king." Todd McCarthy and The Village Voice's Kristen Yoonsoo Kim saw that while Boseman played his serious character well, the cast was full of charismatic scene stealers. Peter Travers gave much praise to Boseman as the lead and said that he "digs so deep into T'Challa that you can feel his nerve endings"; LaSalle wrote that "Boseman commands every moment of this film, radiating probity and purpose, and it's only later on that you realize that, with another actor, this wouldn't have been a sure thing."

He reprised the role in both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, which were released in 2018 and 2019, respectively. Both films were the highest grossing of the year they were released, with Endgame going on to become the highest-grossing film of all time. Infinity War was filmed at the same time as Black Panther, and Boseman and other actors playing Wakandan characters improvised chanting scenes in the former that originated in the latter. Boseman's last physical appearance as Black Panther was in Endgame, at Tony Stark's funeral; he voiced alternate versions of T'Challa in the 2021 Disney+ animated series What If...?.

Boseman portrayed Thurgood Marshall in the biographical film Marshall in 2017. Set years before he became the first African American Supreme Court Justice, the movie focuses on one of Marshall's early cases, the trial of Joseph Spell. It was premiered at Howard University, which both Boseman and Marshall had attended. Boseman was still worried about being put into a "biopic box", and felt that he didn't look enough like the real Marshall, but took the role because he enjoyed the script "separate from the historical relevance"; he had expected big courtroom speeches but found that in the case Marshall was silenced by the judge and had to mentor white co-counsel Sam Friedman (Josh Gad) to take on his first criminal case. He told The New York Times that he liked this element of the story because "it doesn't allow you as an audience member, no matter what color you are, to hide from the issues". Boseman researched Marshall extensively before portraying him, as well as studying videos of him speaking and losing muscle to reflect the younger Marshall's wiry frame. The film opened to an average critical reception, though Boseman's performance was praised. However, Vulture criticized his casting, noting that, unlike Boseman, "the real-life Marshall was a light-skinned man, and his place on the color spectrum undoubtedly influenced how he became such a legend." Boseman had been concerned about their differences before taking the role, but was convinced by the director and producer that as the film was telling an insular story it did not matter as much.

In 2019, he starred in 21 Bridges, an American action thriller film directed by Brian Kirk, as an NYPD detective who shuts down the eponymous twenty-one bridges of Manhattan to find two suspected cop killers. He was approached to work on the film by two of its producers, Avengers directors the Russo brothers, at the Infinity War premiere. While 21 Bridges was filming, the Russos and Boseman were working on Endgame. Boseman was also a producer on 21 Bridges, something he said was made clear to him in his early conversations with the production team; the three producers are given a nod in one of the film's opening lines, when a character is described as an "avenger." All of the film's characters were originally conceived as male and white, with Boseman encouraging amendments to this and other parts of the story. In his capacity as a producer, Boseman sought out Sienna Miller to be his co-star; Miller, who was intending to take a break from acting while her daughter was young, asked for a salary that the studio would not meet, and so Boseman donated the rest from his own pay. He also personally called Stephan James to ask him to play one of the criminals Boseman's detective is hunting; the two actors had been planning to work more together after the film. Boseman said that he and Coles "fought for casting and for actors that brought particular sensibilities and feelings."

As an actor, Boseman developed his character by going on calls with the NYPD and LAPD, which he said influenced the writing after he fed back his experiences, and learning how to fire blanks and handle a gun with a police weapons specialist. While the film received mixed reviews, the cast was praised; Clarisse Loughrey of The Independent wrote that the film was indelicate in its storytelling, but that Boseman "finds a surprising amount to work with in such a basic, stock character", while the Los Angeles Times said that "Chadwick Boseman and thin characters cannot keep 21 Bridges from collapsing." Glenn Kenny of RogerEbert.com was more positive towards the film, writing that "it's no small feat to tie up an intelligent action thriller with such assuredness" and that "Boseman [...] does a lot of running and driving and gun-pointing and car-hood slamming here, but his character also does a lot of thinking – and a lot of maneuvering."

In 2019, Boseman was announced as part of the cast for the Netflix films Da 5 Bloods, directed by Spike Lee, and Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, directed by George C. Wolfe. He took these "bucket-list roles" for opportunities to work with Lee and with Ma Rainey producer Denzel Washington, as well as the opportunity to perform in an August Wilson play, telling Entertainment Weekly that he wanted to make these non-superhero films because "if you don't do the films that you plan to do, I think you wouldn't feel fulfilled as an artist." He was also cast in a film telling the story of Yasuke, the only non-Asian samurai and the first black man in Japan, which he was set to co-produce; Boseman said: "[the story is] not just an action movie, [it is] a cultural event, an exchange, and I am excited to be part of it." Time included Boseman on their list of the 10 Best Movie Performances of 2020, for both Da 5 Bloods and Ma Rainey; for Ma Rainey, Boseman received posthumous nominations in the Best Actor category at the Academy Awards, Actor Awards, British Academy Film Awards, and Golden Globe Awards , becoming the eighth person (and seventh man) to receive a posthumous Academy Award acting nomination.

Da 5 Bloods was released on June 12, 2020. Lee, in choosing Boseman for the divine-like character of Stormin' Norman, said: "This character is heroic; he's a superhero. Who do we cast? We cast Jackie Robinson, James Brown, Thurgood Marshall, and we cast T'Challa." Reception of his character was mostly positive; for the Associated Press, Jocelyn Noveck wrote that Boseman played Norman "with movie-star charisma and classic war-movie grit", and Empire's Kambole Campbell said his performance had "regal charisma", while Chuck Bowen of Slant said that he "has a hauntingly gaunt presence, but he's already played too many saints." The A.V. Club's Ashley Ray-Harris felt the lack of digital de-aging for the other characters was unsuccessful in its aims and that "Lee's script doesn't give Boseman much to do outside of this confused, Christ-like characterization and never exposes Norman's own naïveté." Conversely, Peter Bradshaw of The Guardian saw it as a reflection that "[he] has grown not old as those that are left grew old", and a way to show how Norman has been romanticized in his comrades' memories; Odie Henderson of RogerEbert.com had a similar view and said that Boseman was "a perfect casting move", with the actor already carrying such a mythical status in black culture that he does not need to do much to be a believable mythical black icon as Norman.

The film Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, in which Boseman co-stars as trumpeter Levee, was released after the actor's death in 2020. Director Wolfe said that Boseman was excited by the role for the challenge it posed, saying that "it's a monster role and it's a thrilling role, it's a difficult role. All of those things are exhilarating for an actor. And [Boseman] rose to the occasion and more than delivered." The film is based on the August Wilson play of the same name; Boseman was a fan of Wilson and wrote about him and his inspiration on Boseman's own work in a 2013 essay for the Los Angeles Times. According to Chris Jones, Boseman's Levee is "an astonishing, revelatory performance and formidably distinct from the numerous interpretations seen on the stage"; A. O. Scott of The New York Times similarly opined that "it will be hard, from now on, to imagine [...] a Levee to compare with Boseman." Angelica Jade Bastién for Vulture wrote at length on Boseman's performance, saying that "many of the important turns in the film hinge on Boseman's presence at the center. [...] In the first of his lachrymose monologues, Boseman is called to embody [anger and] gives the scene his all." Charlotte O'Sullivan of the Evening Standard said Boseman was brave to take on a "more curdled" role than the heroic leaders he is best known for, and that "as skillful as he was talented, [he] hits the right notes, all the time." Clarisse Loughrey wrote that it was the actor's finest performance and is "delivered with such grace that there's a sense he had another hundred performances like it still in him."

In 2022, Boseman posthumously won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance for the What If...? episode "What If... T'Challa Became a Star-Lord?" at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards.

There are many golf equipment in golf. Golf clubs are used to hit a golf ball. Each club is composed of a shaft with a lance (or "grip") on the top end and a club head on the bottom. Long clubs, which have a lower degree of loft, are those meant to propel the ball a comparatively longer distance, and short clubs a higher degree of loft and a comparatively shorter distance. The actual physical length of each club is longer or shorter, depending on the distance the club is intended to propel the ball.

Golf clubs have traditionally been arranged into three basic types. Woods are large-headed, long-shafted clubs meant to propel the ball a long distance from relatively "open" lies, such as the teeing ground and fairway. Of particular importance is the driver or "1-wood", which is the lowest lofted wood club, and in modern times has become highly specialized for making extremely long-distance tee shots, up to 300 yards (270 m), or more, in a professional golfer's hands. Traditionally these clubs had heads made of a hardwood, hence the name, but virtually all modern woods are now made of metal such as titanium, or of composite materials. Irons are shorter-shafted clubs with a metal head primarily consisting of a flat, angled striking face. Traditionally the clubhead was forged from iron; modern iron clubheads are investment-cast from a steel alloy. Irons of varying loft are used for a variety of shots from virtually anywhere on the course, but most often for shorter-distance shots approaching the green, or to get the ball out of tricky lies such as sand traps. The third class is the putter, which evolved from the irons to create a low-lofted, balanced club designed to roll the ball along the green and into the hole. Putters are virtually always used on the green or in the surrounding rough/fringe. A fourth class, called hybrids, evolved as a cross between woods and irons, and are typically seen replacing the low-lofted irons with a club that provides similar distance, but a higher launch angle and a more forgiving nature.

A maximum of 14 clubs is allowed in a player's bag at one time during a stipulated round. The choice of clubs is at the golfer's discretion, although every club must be constructed in accordance with parameters outlined in the rules. (Clubs that meet these parameters are usually called "conforming".) Violation of these rules can result in disqualification.

The exact shot hit at any given time on a golf course, and which club is used to accomplish the shot, are always completely at the discretion of the golfer; in other words, there is no restriction whatsoever on which club a golfer may or may not use at any time for any shot.

Golf balls are spherical, usually white (although other colours are allowed), and minutely pock-marked by dimples that decrease aerodynamic drag by increasing air turbulence around the ball in motion, which delays "boundary layer" separation and reduces the drag-inducing "wake" behind the ball, thereby allowing the ball to fly farther. The combination of a soft "boundary layer" and a hard "core" enables both distance and spin.

A tee is allowed only for the first stroke on each hole, unless the player must hit a provisional tee shot or replay their first shot from the tee.

Many golfers wear golf shoes with metal or plastic spikes designed to increase traction, thus allowing for longer and more accurate shots.

A golf bag is used to transport golf clubs and the player's other or personal equipment. Golf bags have several pockets designed for carrying equipment and supplies such as tees, balls, and gloves. Golf bags can be carried, pulled on a trolley or harnessed to a motorized golf cart during play. Golf bags usually have both a hand strap and shoulder strap for carrying, others may be carried over both shoulders like a backpack, and often bags have retractable legs that allow the bag to stand upright when at rest.

Every round of golf is based on playing a number of holes in a given order. A "round" typically consists of 18 holes that are played in the order determined by the course layout. Each hole is played once in the round on a standard course of 18 holes. The game can be played by any number of people, although a typical group will have 1–4 people playing the round. The typical amount of time required for pace of play is about two hours for a 9-hole round and four hours for an 18-hole round.

Playing a hole on a golf course is initiated by putting a ball into play by striking it with a club on the teeing ground (also called the tee box, or simply the tee). For this first shot on each hole, it is allowed but not required for the golfer to place the ball on a tee prior to striking it. A tee is a small peg that can be used to elevate the ball slightly above the ground up to a few centimetres high. Tees are commonly made of wood but may be constructed of any material, including plastic. Traditionally, golfers used mounds of sand to elevate the ball, and containers of sand were provided for the purpose. A few courses still require sand to be used instead of peg tees, to reduce litter and reduce damage to the teeing ground. Tees help reduce the interference of the ground or grass on the movement of the club making the ball easier to hit by elevating the ball from the playing surface.

When the initial shot on a hole is intended to move the ball a long distance, typically more than 225 yards (210 m), the shot is commonly called a "drive" and is generally made with a long-shafted, large-headed wood club called a "driver." Shorter holes may be initiated with other clubs, such as higher-numbered woods or irons. Once the ball comes to rest, the golfer strikes it again as many times as necessary using shots that are variously known as a "lay-up", an "approach", a "pitch", or a "chip", until the ball reaches the green, where the golfer then "putts" the ball into the hole (commonly called "sinking the putt" or "holing out"). The goal of getting the ball into the hole ("holing" the ball) in as few strokes as possible may be impeded by obstacles such as areas of longer grass called "rough" (usually found alongside fairways), which both slows any ball that contacts it and makes it harder to advance a ball that has stopped on it; "doglegs", which are changes in the direction of the fairway that often require shorter shots to play around them; bunkers (or sand traps); and water hazards such as ponds or streams.

In stroke play competitions, each player must play their ball until it is holed, recording the number of strokes made. Conversely in match play, once a player has equaled the number of strokes their opponents took to complete the hole, it is acceptable for them to concede the hole and pick up their ball It is also acceptable in informal stroke play to surrender the hole after hitting three strokes more than the "par" rating of the hole (a "triple bogey" – see below); while technically a violation of Rule 3–2, this practice speeds play as a courtesy to others, and avoids "runaway scores" and excessive frustration. Alternatively, in competition, the committee may designate a maximum score possible for a hole for the same reasons, while formalizing the surrender or "pick-up" rule.

The total distance from the first teeing ground to the 18th green can be quite long; total yardages "through the green" can be in excess of 7,000 yards (6,400 m), and when adding in the travel distance between the green of one hole and the tee of the next, even skilled players may easily travel 5 miles (8.0 km) or more during a round. At some courses, gas or electric golf carts are used to travel between shots, which can speed-up play and allows participation by individuals unable to walk a whole round. On other courses players generally walk the course, either carrying their bag using a shoulder strap or using a "golf trolley" for their bag. These trolleys may or may not be battery assisted. At many amateur tournaments including U.S. high school and college play, players are required to walk and to carry their own bags, but at the professional and top amateur level, as well as at high-level private clubs, players may be accompanied by caddies, who carry and manage the players' equipment and who are allowed by the rules to give advice on the play of the course.

The rules of golf are internationally standardized and are jointly governed by The R&A, spun off in 2004 from The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews (founded 1754), and the United States Golf Association (USGA). With the aim of simplifying the rules, in 2017 the USGA and R&A undertook a complete rewrite. The new rule book came into effect in January 2019.

The underlying principle of the rules is fairness. As stated on the back cover of the official rule book:

Play the ball as it lies, play the course as you find it, and if you cannot do either, do what is fair.

There are strict regulations regarding the amateur status of golfers. Essentially, anybody who has ever received payment or compensation for giving instruction, or played golf for money, is not considered an amateur and may not participate in competitions limited solely to amateurs. However, amateur golfers may receive expenses that comply with strict guidelines and they may accept non-cash prizes within the limits established by the Rules of Amateur Status.

In addition to the officially printed rules, golfers also abide by a set of guidelines called golf etiquette. Etiquette guidelines cover matters such as safety, fairness, pace of play, and a player's obligation to contribute to the care of the course. Though there are no penalties for breach of etiquette rules, players generally follow the rules of golf etiquette in an effort to improve everyone's playing experience.

Penalty strokes are incurred in certain situations and are counted towards a player's score as if there were extra swing(s) at the ball. Either one or two strokes are added for most rule infractions or for taking relief from various situations, with the "general penalty" defined as two-strokes, and disqualification for severe or repeated rule breaches. Examples include:

A lost ball or a ball hit out of bounds (OB) results in a penalty of one stroke and distance (Rule 18.2).

With the exception of certain circumstances, a one-stroke penalty is assessed if a player causes their ball to move (Rule 9.4).

A one-stroke penalty is assessed if a player elects to take relief when their ball comes to rest within a red or yellow penalty area (Rule 17), or from an unplayable lie (Rule 19).

A two-stroke penalty is incurred for making a stroke at the wrong ball (Rule 6.3c).

A two-stroke penalty is incurred for hitting a fellow player's ball if both balls lay on the green prior to the stroke (Rule 11.1a).

Disqualification can result from cheating, signing for a lower score, or failing to adhere to one or more rules that lead to improper play.

I think that Jasmine Guy's response to the ageists and haters was very classy, eloquent, and to the point. The situation is that many disrespectful people made offensive comments about Jasmine Guy's physical appearance. Today, Jasmine Guy is in her 60s. First, those comments from these haters have nothing to do with anything but a shallow interpretation of true beauty, ageism, and these extremists embracing self-hatred. Second, Jasmine Guy's appearance has nothing to do with her character. She is a mother, and her life is her own business. Also, third, people should be treated with dignity and with respect, irrespective of someone's image. I do feel that many people believe that beauty must be completely monolithic, Eurocentric, and completely in a certain fashion. That is a lie, because true beauty is very diverse in the Universe. Human diversity is greatness. Getting older is no curse. Getting older is a blessing, as it allows us to grow economically, spiritually, physically, and emotionally to follow the Golden Rule, which is a timeless concept. It is ironic that back in the day, many of the same ones who nearly worshiped Jasmine Guy's appearance decades ago because they embraced the evil of colorism are many of the same ones who want to degrade Jasmine Guy's physical appearance because they have an ageist, featurist, and  bigoted mindset on beauty. The fundamental point is that Jasmine Guy is not up for fetishizing or disrespect. She has never owed us to make her image to exactly be like when she was in her 20s or 30s. She created a platform and legacy filled with literature, dance, acting, and expressing a pro-black consciousness. She is entitled to her own dignity and respect, just like the rest of us.
