One Year after the January 6th Insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

One year ago was one of the worst terrorist attacks on American soil. It was the 2021 U.S. Capitol seditious, treasonous insurrection. It was a date that will live in infamy. There were many warnings sent by the government about the violence and terror from such an event. Before that time, Trump wanted D.C. to be wild. Also, terrorists torn down and burn a BLM flag from a church in Washington, D.C. These terrorists involved in the U.S. Capitol attack were racists, anti-Semites, Neo-Nazis, far right extremists, militia terrorists, and Donald Trump himself. Donald Trump was the one who still believes in the big lie that the 2020 election is stolen, and now many embracers of that lie are running for office nationwide from gubernatorial, Congressional, and other races. Trump has a stronger control over the GOP now than a year ago.

The terrorists and Trump lied and said that Biden stole the election. One year later, the Republicans has been worse (by advocating suppressing anti-racism books from public school libraries and hating diversity), and these same terrorists are trying to subvert democracy forever. Trump told his followers in D.C., one year ago, to stop the legal certification of the 2020 election. He wanted his supporters to fight without restraint in the U.S. Capitol. Also, the Trump followers, during the insurrection, broke down barriers, called officers racist slurs, threaten to harm and kill elected officials, torn down property, did vile acts on the Capitol floor, waved Confederate including Neo-Nazi flags, and assaulted tons of people. We should never minimize what took place on that date. What took place was an attempted reactionary coup d'état against the American government. That is treason. Donald Trump did nothing to stop this mayhem for hours. Arizona GOP officials say that there was no massive voting fraud in Arizona. I'm glad Trump lost the 2020 election. Later, then Vice President Mike Pence certified the 2020 election. Now, we have a new President Joe Biden.

Trump supporter Navarro is desperate for attention. Navarro promoted the lie that George Soros inspired people to steal the 2020 election. We have court rulings, multiple investigations, and other research proving that the election was never stolen in 2020. We know that the Supreme Court ended Trump's goal to try to overthrow the legal election. Navarro admitted that Trump and others were part of a conspiracy to make a coup d'état against democracy. This Trump aide admitted that he and Trump plus other attempted to overthrow the government on his MSNBC interview with Ari Melber. Ironically, an audit found that Biden won Arizona with more votes than previously expected. The Trump worshiping cultists are very much brainwashed.

This time showed the testimony of Congressional leaders who escaped with their lives from the terrorists involved in the insurrection. The big lie has been promoted by GOP folks, FOX News, Alex Jones, and other liars. Many Republicans legislators have changed the results of the election rules. Democracy now is in peril. This is the worst democracy has been in peril since the American Civil War. We have thousands of people in militias who want to overthrow the government, and we have Qanon people spewing slander and lies. President Biden said that the web of lies about the 2020 election led to the insurrection last year in 2021. He wants to fight the enemies of democracy. The enemies of democracy in many cases are found in America. We know that Trump was gleefully watching the U.S. Capitol insurrection for hours before doing anything.

Yesterday was the Birthday of Sister Michaela DePrince, and she is now 27 years old. She is one of the most well-known, talented ballet dancers in the world. She was born in Kenema, Sierra Leone. She was born into a Muslim family, and she grew up as an orphan in Sierra Leone. This was after her uncle brought her to an orphanage during the civil war. She was adopted by a family from Cherry Hill, New Jersey. She lived in the United States. She studied ballet dancing in America. She performed at the Youth America Grand Prix including other competitions. Also, she was trained in classical ballet at The Rock School for Dance Education in Philadelphia. She took online classes at Keystone National High School where she earned her high school diploma. She experienced racial discrimination, but she still persisted in her gift of dancing. In 2012, she graduated from the American Ballet Theater's Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School in New York. She joined the Dance Theater of Harlem, where she was the youngest member of the company. She has joined other dance companies too. Her role model is the black American principal ballerinas, Lauren Anderson. By 2021, DePrince joined the Boston Ballet as second soloist. I wish Sister Michaela DePrince more Blessings.
