The End of the Week News.

Vice President Kamala Harris gave a speech in Savannah, Georgia to promote her views and vision for American society. There was a large crowd in Savannah, and Harris wanted to move forward. Meanwhile, Vance was booed by a veteran and union group for saying that his ticket was the most pro-military ticket in American history. J.D. Vance disrespected a pageant woman, and he told Harris to go to H__. Vance also shames single people, so he has no respect for people.  Kamala Harris spoke passionately about making sure that people realize that the national sales tax will cause more items to be expensive, we must promote freedom, and that we shall never go back to the status quo.

Donald Trump has crossed the line in disrespecting the military for years now. Recently, a Trump aide has been accused of pushing a military aide at Arlington National Cemetery and filming a gravestone of a veteran without the veteran's permission. Trump has called many military people suckers and losers, mocked John McCain's military service, and desires to not allow disabled veterans to be near him. So, Trump's actions and the actions of his allies have been totally disgraceful. That is one reason out of many reasons on why I will never vote for Donald Trump at all.

Today is the anniversary of the March on Washington. It happened 61 years ago. It was a product of a dream from activists who wanted to address the evils of racism, economic oppression, and other forms of injustice plaguing American society. It existed after the Civil War when Jim Crow apartheid was very prominent not only in the South but parts of the North, Midwest, and West Coast. William Randolph took a lead role in making that march happen along with famous plus unsung legends of the Civil Rights Movement. Men, women, and children came to the Lincoln Memorial via plane, cars, buses, and feet to see multiple speakers talk about the necessity for social justice, the cause of living wages, the end of police brutality, investments in education, and labor rights strengthened. The cause of justice has peaks and valleys as this encompasses life itself. Yet, we have faith and an august determination to carry forth the torch of freedom to succinctly advocate for our goal of liberty and justice for all. In our time in 2024, we are still fighting the same fight as our generations previously have fought for. Even in 2024, there is massive racism, book bans (even in public libraries), voter suppression policies, sexism, xenophobia, violations of the rights of women, poverty (and other forms of economic inequality), and other evils. Still, we must grow, develop our minds and spirits, and focus on doing the right thing to see a better future.

One disgraceful judge in Louisiana ruled that the EPA can't use the Civil Rights Act to fight against environmental issues in majority black communities (as written about by author Madiba K. Dennie). This means that a Trump-promoted Judge said that the EPA is powerless to stop companies from poisoning black neighborhoods. This decision is reaction, racist, and evil. This fact alone should make any wise person not vote for Trump. We need our environment protected from pollution. There have been studies that the region in Louisiana has been called Cancer Alley, because tons of innocent people have developed cancer over the dangerous chemicals found in the region.

Kamala Harris and Tim Walz visited a high school in southeast Georgia at Hinesville. They wanted to promote the power of the country to do great things. They are talking to band players in the high school too. They want to appeal to rural voters and many voters who would otherwise wouldn't vote for Democrats. Georgia and even North Carolina are in play now in 2024. In our time, Trump is a notorious deception. He is one of the greatest deceptions in human history. People, who claim to be rational, hold on to his every word omitting how Trump wanted the death of innocent men, who are part of the Central Park Five. Trump believes in the lie that the 2020 election was stolen, but Robert Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard hypocritically support him.

Nearing the end of the 2024 Election.

Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz will sit with CNN for their first joint interview on Thursday. Democrats work to try to win the 2024 Presidential election. The finish line is almost here after a long journey. The excitement from the Democratic National Convention of last week has galvanized the nation. More than 200 Republicans have now supported Kamala Harris for the Presidency of the United States of America. What is coming next will be fast. By September 6, North Carolina will be the first state to start mailing ballots. On September 18, 2024, there is a possible Donald Trump hush money trial sentencing. There will be the ABC News Presidential debate on September 10, 2024. By September 20, widespread early voting will start in many states. The CBS Vice Presidential debate is planned for October 1, 2024. Election Day comes about on November 5, 2024. The Electoral College votes are cast in December. The new Congress takes the oath of office on January 3, 2025. Lawmakers meet on January 6, 2025, to count the electoral votes officially. By January 20, 2025, the next President will take the oath of office.

The Special Counsel Jack Smith files a superseding indictment in the federal January 6th case. Jack Smith also filed his brief with the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday after U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon dismissed the classified documents case. The Justice Department wants to prevail. The issue is that Smith's challenge has to deal with Cannon herself. Cannon is a biased judge who is pro-Trump as she has been promoted by Trump for years. Judge Cannon said that she threw the federal case out last month because Smith was unlawfully appointed and funded. The appellate brief from Jack Smith mentioned that the ruling from Cannon was an outlier. Smith believes that Judge Cannon's decision is at odds with many choices from the previous Supreme Court and appointment practices in the Department of Justice and across the government. Smith's brief didn't desire his intention to seek a new judge, so Cannon still presides over the case.

One judge halted the Biden program offering legal status to undocumented spouses. The judge did an act representing cruelty. The Biden program is about keeping families together to prevent a family from being split up. Stephen Miller loves this policy as he believes in hatred and bigotry. Miller knows full well that the vast majority of people in the program are not terrorists seeking to harm America. These about 500,000 families are all about love, togetherness, and embrace concepts that make up the true America. This is why lawyers are appealing the decision to make sure that families aren't split up. The banning of this policy will cause misery and suffering to children and spouses in tons of ways. Foday Turay is a DACA recipient (who has one wife and one child) who is at risk of being deported by one judge's actions.

The speech of Kamala Harris at the DNC drew 28 million TV viewers. There are more than 21 million viewers online digitally on online streaming services. Many younger people get their information on digital services. We know what works to defeat Donald Trump in November 2024. People need to focus on living wages, on better public education, on expanding the Child Tax Credit, and doing the right thing to improve our environment. People should honor voting rights and civil rights too. We are for work, especially hard work. We are against a system that permits starvation wages that no human being in modern-day society can survive on. We desire jobs with benefits like paid family leave, health care, and paid overtime. There is a purpose in life. Purpose relates to freedom without bigotry, justice without oppression, and living in joy without suppression of fundamental human rights.

No one should be shocked that Tulsi Gabbard supports Donald Trump. Gabbard ignores Trump's bigotry, sexism, and anti-democratic views because she embraces many of Trump's views. Gabbard is a hypocrite to cite abuse of power and an anti-freedom culture of political retaliation for her justifications for supporting Trump. The reason is that Trump has threatened political retaliation against his political opponents, he has called for the abolishment of the U.S. Constitution, he said that he wants to be a dictator on Day one, and he believes that he is immune from any prosecution of any sort. Gabbard claims that black progressives and progressives in general promote anti-white racism which is a lie. We want racism to end. Also, many scholars believe that Tulsi has links to far-right Hindu organizations. To be clear, not all Hindus are far-right extremists. Tulsi has praised the authoritarian Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India. Tulsi Gabbard is a liar who said the lie that Kamala Harris is unfit to be President of the United States of America. Kamala Harris was the California Attorney General, a U.S. Senator, and is now the Vice President of the United States. Kamala Harris has tons of qualifications to be President of America. Gabbard claims to be against warmongering but minimizes the terrorism done by Assad and Putin. Trump has disrespected military people for years, but Tulsi Gabbard (a military veteran) still allies with him. Trump made perverted comments about his own daughter, but Tulsi omits that because she has a double standard and is an extremist. TV host of Russian state TV Vladimir Soloviev called Tulsi "our girlfriend Tulsi." The hypocrite Tulsi claims to be for peace but supports Trump who is a warmonger and a person who hates democratic rights.

News about Late August in 2024.

The Pointer Sisters made country music during the 1970's and beyond. They loved to express music in multiple genres, including R&B, soul, pop, dance, and country music. Their members back then were Ruth, June, Bonnie, and Anita Pointer. The Pointer Sister started in the Bay Area in Oakland, California, a city filled with a history of social consciousness (as it was the origin of the Black Panther Party of Self-Defense). The Pointer Sisters had massive successful career in the 1970's and the 1980's with songs like Automatic, Jump (for My Love), Slow Hand, So Excited, etc. In the 1970's, the Pointer Sisters had a country music song called Fairytale. That song was from their February 1974 album of That's a Plenty. Anita Pointer said that she wrote the breakup song of Fairytale from her personal experiences. Anita heard music from James Taylor (who is a great singer and songwriter), and she felt inspired to write the song Fairytale. The Pointer Sisters had a series of promotional appearances in Nashville with an August 16, 1974, performance at Fairgrounds Speedway. On October 25, 1974, The Pointer Sisters performed Fairytale at the Grand Ole Opry, making the inaugural Opry appearance by an African American vocal group. The group sang the song first at their April 21, 1974, concert at the San Francisco Opera House. Fairytale would later result in something. Later, The Pointer Sisters won the Best Country Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group for the year. This was the first awarding of a Grammy to an all-women vocal group, making The Pointer Sisters the only black women to date who have won a Grammy in a country music category.

By the early 1970's, country music icon Dolly Parton was already a legend. She was born in the South at Pittman Center, Tennessee. For generations, Dolly Parton has been a singer, songwriter, actress, and philanthropist. She has participated in country music for more than five decades now. Her first album was called Hello, I'm Dolly in 1967. Dolly Parton was raised very poor. She performed on the radio as a child. She moved to Nashville after she graduated from Sevier County High School in 1964. By 1968, she released the song of Just Because I'm a Woman. Dolly Parton by the 1970's, increased the number of hits like Joshua, Coat of Many Colors, etc. She loved to do duets with fellow country artists too. Tons of people know Dolly Parton's signature song Jolene, which was released in in late 1973. The song topped the country charts in February of 1974. Beyonce and Dolly Parton did an ode to the song called Jole from Beyonce's Cowboy Carter album. Dolly Parton released the song I Will Always Love You in 1974 which was about her professional break from Wagoner. It went to number one on the country chart. Parton wanted to own her own royalties and publishing rights which caused her to earn millions of royalties from the single. Whitney Houston made an iconic cover of I Will Always Love You too from the Bodyguard soundtrack back in 1992. Dolly Parton did pop music too along with Olivia Newton-John, Emmylou Harris, and Linda Ronstadt. Parton's album of Here You Come Again in 1977 sold over one million copies. In 1978, Dolly Parton won a Grammy Award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance. Dolly Parton continues to make music to this very day, help the sick, promote tolerance for fellow human beings, and lives a very quiet life in the South.

The Man in Black Johnny Cash remains one of the many icons of country music. When he was on the stage, he brought massive excitement, skills, and intensity. He was born in Kingsland, Arkansas and lived in Nashville, Tennessee for many years. People know her for his deep, calm, and bass-baritone voice. Johnny Cash was also a military veteran. He worked with the Tennessee Three and had established his own solo career. Johnny Cash had music that dealt with sorrow, moral tribulation, and redemption. His music became more introspective as time came about during his life. He lived to be 71 years old. He loved his five children, and he married Vivian Liberto and June Carter. A lot of people don't know that Vivian D. Liberto's father Thomas Liberto was of Sicilian descent. Her mother Irene was of German, Irish, and African American descent (who was in Texas since the 19th century). One of Vivian Liberto's great-great-great grandmothers was Sally Shields, a woman of biracial heritage. Sally Shields' mother was an enslaved African American. Saly's white father and slave owner was William Bryant Shields. Johnny Cash had imperfections from drug abuse, violence, and adultery. Vivian Liberto's children supported a documentary that outlined a fair picture of how Vivian Liberto was a kindhearted woman who cared deeply for her children (back in the 1960's, the Klan wanted to kill Johnny Cash and Vivian Liberto, because many of Vivian Liberto's relatives and ancestors were black people). Johnny Cash's first single was I Walk the Line being inspired by Vivian Liberto. Cash had many signature songs like Ring of Fire, Get Rhythm, Man in Black, One Piece at a Time, and Jackson. He sold over 90 million records worldwide. He worked in country, rock and roll, rockabilly, blues, folk, and gospel music.  He was inducted into the Country Music, Rock and Roll, and Gospel Halls of Fame. By the 1960's, he had an outlaw image. Cash made songs to defend the human rights of Native Americans. He worked with Pete Seeger's TV show Rainbow Quest. He had his own television show called The Johnny Cash Show on ABC lasting from June 7, 1969 to March 31, 1971. It was taped at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. He was the grand marshal of the United States Bicentennial parade too. Johnny Cash converted to Christianity early in his life and attended First Baptist Church in Hendersonville, Tennessee before his passing with his wife.

Country music in the 1960's and the 1970's dealt with a transition in culture. These two decades saw a massive shift in culture in general. This shift is called the Cultural Revolution. The Cultural Revolution saw no fault divorce being legalized in America, the growth of civil rights and voting rights laws, and the anti-Vietnam War movement reaching its zenith. Before the 1960's, many women couldn't sign a loan without a husband or male relative's permission, black people suffered Jim Crow apartheid, the Cold War was heating up, and massive conformity was commonplace. Anyone desiring to revert back to the early to mid-20th century is just plain mistaken and wrong. Then, society was massively changing by many activists who desired the expansion of human rights. Also, many people were sincere to desire for freedom for the human race. Other people were overtly funded by the CIA, foundations, and corporate interests to distract people from opposing imperialism and other evils via the usage of recreational drugs and divide-and-conquer strategies too. John Potash wrote literature proving that too. Country music in the 1960's had artists like Glen Campbell, Merle Haggard, Patsy Cline, George Jones, The Statler Brothers, Jeannie C. Riley (with the famous song of Harper Valley P.T.A.), Roger Miller, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Tammy Wynette, Dottie West, Johnny Cash, and other human beings who sang powerfully about their lives and the issues of the world.

One important point is that we must talk about poverty and the poor, not just about the middle class. There is nothing wrong with helping the middle class, but comprehensive economic justice must relate to helping the poor and working-class human beings too. In America alone, there are about 140 million poor and low-income people. If people want to bring more of the electorate to vote, then politicians have to promote succinct policies that address poverty. Poor and low-wage human beings make up 30% of the American electorate in every state of the Union. If just a small percentage of time votes at a higher level, the election can be determined in every battleground state alone. We know what works too. There should be more investments in the green economy to increase family-sustaining jobs. There must be a living wage nationally from the urban to rural locations. The oppressed are tired of being talked to instead of talked at. If someone is just talking about law and order (instead of law and justice), that is certainly not good enough. You have to talk about ending voter suppression laws, having resources to build up our health care systems in establishing universal health care, taking care of our environment, having a strong investment in public education, growing affordable housing, rejecting the agenda of the military-industrial complex, preserving our civil liberties and civil rights, having our democracy strengthened, and making sure that the super wealthy pay their fair share of taxation.

Kamala Harris' Historic Acceptance of the Democratic Nomination at the DNC.

Vice President Kamala Harris gave her anticipated speech and accepted her Democratic Party's historic nomination at the DNC. She is the first black woman and South Asian woman Democratic Presidential nominee in American history. That is a very important time in our human history representing our new generation. Her speech wanted to combine progressive views with a stricter foreign policy. We don't desire the extreme foreign policy views of either imperialism or isolationism. We need a pro-peace, pro-democracy, and pro-international collaboration foreign policy. The Democrats wanted to reclaim the ethos of patriotism from Republicans, who historically claim to have a monopoly on it (which isn't true). Kamala Harris' speech wanted to show nuisance to many issues, especially immigration (like wanting strong border security and a pathway to citizenship simultaneously). The DNC has been like a party with a DJ, people dancing, and other youthful vibes.  The 2024 DNC is unlike any other convention that I have ever seen being filled with celebrities, music, dancing, and pure diversity of background and thought presented. Kamala Harris desires to be the President of all Americans. Her speech set her agenda in contrast to Trump's extreme agenda which is about bigotry, hatred, and division. She believes in a tax cut for the middle class, border security, and women's rights. After the speech, 100,000 balloons were dropped at the DNC. The families of Harris and Walz came on stage to celebrate the official nomination together. Vice President Kamala Harris said that we have more in common than what separates us. Harris wants to define her identity, not let others define her. Kamala Harris spoke with authority and a professional quality. She said that Donald Trump and J.D. Vance denigrate America which is true.

Trump calls America a total disaster and Vance has shamed single people in America. Harris wants Israel to defend itself but recognizes the massive deaths of Palestinians in Gaza. She wants Palestine to be a self-determined nation Kamala Harris wants the end to the war, a ceasefire, and return all hostages back to Israel. Over 20,000 people were in the United Arena in Chicago to witness her historic speech. Her intro and outro music was Beyonce's song of Freedom. Kamala Harris gave an eloquent, nuisance speech. Her speech views America as a place of opportunity and gives a responsibility to help others in America and throughout the world. Kamala Harris thanked President Joe Biden in her opening remarks at the DNC. Day 4 also has North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper saying that Harris is ready to fight for you. Maya Harris, Kamala Harris's sister, praised Kamala Harris's leadership skills as Kamala Harris has already made executive-level accomplishments now. Their mother Dr. Shyamala Gopalan Harris was a scientist and civil rights activist in California. Former Rep. Kinzinger said that Democracy knows no Party. He is one of the many Republicans who is voting for Kamala Harris. Governor Whitmer said that Harris is tough and tested. Actress Eva Longoria praised the Harris candidacy. Arizona Rep. Gallego celebrated the veterans as lawmakers who served in the military joined him on stage. Senator Mark Kelly wanted to promote national security, and he said that Trump is a danger to national security. Leon Panetta supported Kamala Harris and Pink performed What About Us with her daughter. Gabby Giffords gave an emotional speech to fight gun violence. Michigan sheriff Chris Swanson, comedian D. L. Hughley, and other people gave words to support Kamala Harris too. Kerry Washington wants us to do something. Senator Bob Casey of Pennsylvania gave his words to promote the Harris candidacy. The Chicks perform the National Anthem. Many women wore white on stage to honor the 60th anniversary of Fannie Lou Hamer's speech at the DNC to condemn injustice in America. Craig Sicknick condemned January 6th and how Trump provoked the mob of terrorists to harm innocent human life. Basketball star Steph Curry endorsed Kamala Harris in a video at DNC. John Russell advocates for working-class Americans, especially in Appalachia in West Virginia. Climate change was talked about by Interior Secretary Deb Haaland. Al Sharpton spoke in opposition to Trump, and members of the Central Park Five spoke in favor of justice too. Senator Elizabeth Warren said that Kamala Harris can't be bought and can't be bossed around. There were many speakers at the DNC on its last day. The Democratic National Convention of 2024 was a celebration, a call to work, a reclamation of what America is (filled with complexity, diversity, imperfections that must be eliminated, and being in love with human equality), and the necessity to defend our democracy.

Day 3 of the Democratic National Convention has been filled with powerful guests and a total contrast to the RNC. The themes of passionate speeches, emotional words, and inspiration are part of the convention too. The speeches by a diverse amount of people focused on promoting hope and joy along with not dismissing people that you disagree with. Many people who disagree with you can change down the road. Former President Bill Clinton gave his speech promoting the agenda of joy. Oprah Winfrey addressed the audience to discuss the urgency of Americans to choose joy. Oprah Winfrey said that Kamala Harris is emblematic of the best of America. She told the story of the late civil rights hero Tessie Prevost (who started to desegregate the New Orleans elementary schools in 1960 along with three other black girls decades ago). Oprah said that the New Orleans Four paved the way for Kamala Harris to integrate the public schools in Berkley, California. Oprah Winfrey said that Kamala Harris is the daughter of immigrants from Jamaica and India being what America truly is. Oprah said that people help each other regardless of background and can save a cat in a fire too (about J. D. Vance's sexist remark that America is run by single women with cats). Nancy Pelosi spoke. Relatives of the Israeli hostages Jon Polin and Rachel Goldberg-Polin gave an emotional speech about the need to free hostages and peace. The Uncommitted group wants a speaker from a Palestinian American. They were denied, so they staged a sit-in outside the United Center with Minnesota Rep. Ihan Omar briefly joining the group. The convention on Day 3 showed footage of the January 6th insurrection along with Trump provoking the insurrections to fight at the U.S. Capitol.

Trump watched television in the White House doing nothing for hours while terrorists assaulted the police, destroyed property, and harmed innocent human life at the U.S. Capitol. Trump was impeached twice. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg contrasted Trump's nefarious agenda with the politics of Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. Singer John Legend and drummer Sheila E. played Prince's song Let's Go Crazy. Stevie Wonder gave a speech to promote peace and justice. He performed his iconic song of Higher Ground. Tim Walz gave his nomination speech as the Vice-Presidential candidate. He has introduced himself to the American public. Walz described himself as a high school teacher, football coach, hunter, and neighbor. Walz said that in Minnesota that we respect our neighbors regardless of the chooses they make, etc. He supported gun control, stopping book bans, and fighting for fertility treatments. He said that his family of Hope, Gus, and Gwen are his world. Gus Walz (his son) stood up and applauded his father with tears in his eyes. The Neil Young song of Rockin' in the Free World blared in the United Center stage.

There are 56 protesters arrested on Tuesday after clashes with the police outside the Israeli Consulate in Chicago during the DNC. This comes after violent clashes with the police in Chicago. The Israeli Consulate is about 2 miles from the United Center where the Democrats are having their ceremony. The police claimed that they tried to do de-escalation tactics. Many of them are accused of damaging property, resisting arrest, and battery plus assault. Sneiling said that the protesters showed up to fight the police. Others disagree like Hatem Abudayyeh, co-founder of the U.S. Palestinian Community Network. He said that the police must keep the peace. He said that the police have the responsibility to not infringe on the First Amendment right to protest. Sneiling said that many people called women police officers vulgar, sexist, and explicit names, but they stood their ground. The vast majority of the protesters in Chicago since Monday have been peaceful.

The Start of 2024's Chicago Democratic National Convention.

On Monday, the Democratic National Convention has started. It has been a historic convention filled with emotion and inspiration. Democratic people have been energized and unified. This is not 1968 filled with division and chaos. President Joe Biden wants to pass the torch to Vice President Kamala Harris. After one million deaths from COVID-19 in America alone, the inauguration of Biden, the Inflation Reduction Act helping Americans, the COVID Relief law saving lives, and the infrastructure law, we have seen massive improvements in America now. We still have a long way to go with the war in Gaza, high prices, and other issues. Yet, we are much better now than four years ago during the Trump regime. Country singer Mickey Guyton will perform on Monday. Guyton was the first black woman to receive a Grammy nomination for Best Country Solo Performance in 2021. Her song Black Live Me in 2020 has inspired the world. Mikcey Guyton performed the song All American at the DNC. Four people were arrested after a fence breach near the DNC, according to Chicago police. More than 200 content creators have been credentialed for the event in Chicago from Tiktok influencers to authors. Democrats honor Rev. Jesse Jackson in an emotional tribute to the civil rights leaders. Jackson has Parkinson's disease and moves on a wheelchair on stage. Rev. Al Sharpton and NAACP President Derrick Johnson are with him. Chair of the Democratic Party, Jamie Harrison credited Jesse Jackson's 1984 campaign to give people hope. The convention is being held in the United Center. Lauren Underwood, who is a House member, gave a speech at the DNC to defend Kamala Harris too. Union leader Lee Saunders gave a speech to defend the labor record of the Biden and Harris team. Union speaker from CARE has given a defense of Kamala Harris on economic and labor rights in America.

Day One of the DNC ended with a lot of speakers and excitement. President Joe Biden said that choosing Kamala Harris as his running mate in 2020 was the best decision that he made in his whole career. Biden praised Kamala Harris as a leader children can look up to, respected by world leaders, and a President that we can be proud of. Biden's speech is about Trump passing the torch to the next generation of Kamala Harris. Georgia Senator Raphael Warnock said that a vote is a kind of prayer for the world we desire for ourselves and our children. Hillary Clinton spoke at the convention to say that she wanted her grandchildren and their grandchildren to know that she had been there when the glass ceiling finally shattered as she hoped for Kamala Harris to be the first woman to win the Presidency of the United States of America. The audience in Chicago cheered Biden with a four-minute ovation for his accomplishments as President. Biden praised the four years of extraordinary progress in American society, from lower crime rates to low unemployment, the cut in childhood poverty to half, and the value of good government. Biden said that the pro-Palestinian protesters in Chicago have a point that massive civilian deaths in Gaza are abhorrent. Innocent Israelis and innocent Palestinians being dead have no justification. New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez spoke to cheer Harris' work to end the fighting in Gaza promoting a ceasefire and bringing the hostages home. Michigan State Senator Mallory McMorrow exposed Project 2025. Kamala Harris made an appearance in the DNC rally to widespread cheers. Rep. Jasmine Crockett gave an emotional speech about how Kamala Harris supported her when she was stressed out when she first came into Congress. Rep. Jasmine Crockett criticized Trump as being the wrong person to lead America and supported the policies of Kamala Harris.

Day 2 of the 2024 Democratic National Convention was filled with excitement, hip-hop music, and realism. Barack and Michelle Obama energized the audience at the DNC with their speeches. Their back-to-back speeches criticized Donald Trump's agenda. The former First Lady Michelle Obama wants people to reject the Goldilocks complex (of believing that everything is fine by doing nothing) and work hard to elect Vice President Kamala Harris as the new President of the United States of America. Former President Obama wanted to promote reconciliation by saying that most Americans want to live in a country that is not bitter and divided. Brack Obama chanted Yes we can and the new phrase of Yes she can in reference to Kamala Harris. Brack Obama and Michelle Obama are very popular among the American people. Barack Obama said that Trump is obsessed with crowd sizes and whiner of his problems. This comes 20 years after he gave his historic convention speech when John Kerry ran for President. I was 19 back in 2004. Barack Obama wants to reject chaos, false conspiracy theories, and an algorithm obsession. He wants to promote high virtues like justice and equality (and talked about the links between his late mother-in-law and his late mother). Second gentleman Doug Emhoff gave his story of his relationship with his wife, Vice President Kamala Harris. Their family is a blended family which is heavily common in the modern world. Day 2 also saw Republicans who will support Trump like Mayor John Giles of Mesa, Arizona, Kyle Sweetser, former Trump White House press secretary and chief of staff Stephanie Grisham, and other people. Vermont Independent Senator Bernie Sanders praised Joe Biden and endorsed Kamala Harris for President in a speech. Sanders said that Project 2025 is part of a radical agenda. There was the roll call to officially nominate Kamala Harris as the Democratic Presidential candidate for President as she is the first black American and Asian American woman officially established as the Democratic Presidential nominee in American history. DJ Cassidy used music to promote each state and territory to announce the delegate vote. Some songs were from Bruce Springsteen for New Jersey, Jay Z ft. Alicia Keys for New York, and Petey Pablo for North Carolina. California had songs too. Navarro criticized Trump's behavior as similar to communist dictators. Kamala Harris and Tim Walz had a rally in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to celebrate their candidacy and promote their campaign. So, Day 2 saw Kamala Harris with the torch, and now we see the official end of the 2024 campaign in the near future.

There is a recent study about aging. One study found that human beings age more rapidly at the age of 44 years old and at 60 years old. Scientists found out that human beings age at a molecular level in those two ages. This study is published in the Journal of Nature Aging. Scientists at Stanford University and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore followed 108 people over many years to observe aging changes in molecules like RNA, proteins, and the participants' microbiomes. The first author of the study is Xiaotao Shen, an assistant professor in microbiome medicine at Nanyang Technological University. People get more muscle injuries and see their fat accumulation hit in their 40s via lipid metabolism. People have more muscle loss or sarcopenia when people hit their 60s. There are tissues, skin, muscle, and cardiovascular changes that happen to us as we age. The lesson of the study is that folks should exercise more, use more strength-building exercises, drink little to no alcohol, and do other actions in their 40s and 60s. Synder advised people approaching their 60s to watch their carb intake and drink plenty of water to help aid kidney function.

Wally Amos of Famous Amos Cookie fame passed away recently at 88 years old. Famous Amos chocolate cookies were one of the greatest cookies that I ever tasted in my life. Wallace Amos was a great advocate for children's literacy in real life. Amos was born and raised in the South in Tallahassee, Florida. He lived in New York City when he was 12 years old to live with his aunt, Della Bryant. He loved to promote cooking as he was an expert chef. That is why he was enrolled at the Food Trades Vocational High School in New York City. His aunt Della would bake cookies and send them to him when he was in the military. Amos worked hard as a talent agent and signed artists like The Supremes and Marvin Gaye.

Rest in Power Brother Willy Amos.

How Times are Changing Rapidly.

The 2024 Paris Olympics has been historic in many ways. Excellence was shown in many arenas from both USA basketball teams winning gold against France to the 200m victory made by Gabby Thomas showing power and determination. It had the debut of breaking (or breakdancing) as a sport. There has been a massive amount of athletic competition, and many records were broken in various sports too. It was a time when the opening ceremony was held outside of a stadium for the first time in modern Olympic history. It is important to note that the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics is the first time in history to reach full gender parity on the field of play. America topped the medal table for the fourth consecutive time with 40 gold medals and 126 medals in total. China tied with America with gold medals with 40 and second with 91 medals in total. Japan finished third, Australia had fourth, France was fifth, etc. Dominica, Saint Lucia, Cape Verde, and Albania won their first-ever Olympic medals. Botswana and Guatemala won their first-ever gold medals. The Refugee Olympic Team won their first-ever medal, being a gold in boxing. The Paris Olympics had many logistical issues, some water issues, and controversies. Yet, the 2024 Paris Olympics was hugely a success. The United States of America team won greatly in track and field, swimming, basketball, and other sports. Sha'Charri Richardson achieved her first gold medal which was very inspiring. There has been massive popularity of the Olympics. The ratings of the recent 2024 Paris Olympics soared 82 percent over the Tokyo Games. That is why the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris drew a combined average of 30.6 million viewers. The Paris Olympics Games is the most streamed Olympics of all time. The media giant Comcast on Monday said that its coverage saw a large 23.5 billion minutes of stream time, a 40 percent increase compared to all prior summer and winter Games combined. The network's Spanish language broadcast on Telemundo also saw a 26 percent jump over the same period during the Tokyo Games three years ago. Days ago, the men's basketball gold medal game (when the U.S. defeated France in a 98-87 victory), averaged 20.3 million viewers on NBC and Peacock, making it the most watched gold medal game since the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, the company of Comcast said. The 2024 Paris Olympics stand as very historic to inspire the world to attempt to see a more peaceful future. The 2024 Paris Summer Paralympics deserves respect and its due too as promoting human diversity and human dignity strongly. Now, we await the Winter Olympics in 2026 in Salt Late City, Utah and the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California. .

Shirley Williams married Harvey Hinton Jr. (b. 1950) on May 13, 1978, in Durham, North Carolina. One of their children is Harvey Hinton III (b. 1978), and he married Jametra Lynn Dickey (b. 1976) on September 3, 2006, in Fort Wayne, Allen, Indiana. Their 2 children are my 5th cousins Maia Hinton and Sanura Hinton.

By the 1960's, the New Nashville Sound existed. The music merged blending rockabilly and more traditional styles. Ray Price, Jim Reeves, Ferlin Husky, Eddy Arnold, Patsy Cline, and George Jones embody this sound in their recordings. Women singers come into their own as star performers. Kitty Wells and Patsy Cline lead the way for Jean Shepard, Skeeter Davis, Dottie West, Connie Smith, Loretta Lynn, Barbara Mandrell, Tammy Wynette, and Dolly Parton to rise to the top of the charts. The Country Music Hall of Fame inducted its first members in 1961: Jimmie Rodgers, Fred Rose, and Hank Williams. Willie Nelson wrote "Crazy" for Patsy Cline and "Hello Walls" for Faron Young, planting himself squarely at the heart of the country music tradition. Roy Acuff was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1962. Vocal groups rise to prominence. The Statler Brothers, the Oak Ridge Boys, Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers, the Forrester Sisters, and the Bellamy Brothers all gain popularity by the late 1960's. By 1964, Charley Pride begins to rise to the top of the charts. He was the first black performer to become a star in the country music field. Pride successfully switches back and forth between the country, pop, and gospel charts.  Charley Pride lived from March 18, 1934, to December 12, 2020. He could sing, play guitar, and was a professional baseball player (playing in the Negro League's Memphis Red Sox and other teams like Bosie Yankees, Fond du Lac Panthers, etc.). He was born in the Deep South in Sledge, Mississippi. Charley Pride had tons of hits from 1969 to 1975. Pride is one of the three African American members of the Grand Ole Opry (including DeFord Bailey and Darius Rucker). He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2000. Starting in the 1950s to the mid-1960s, western singer-songwriters such as Michael Martin Murphey and Marty Robbins rose in prominence as did others, throughout Western music traditions, like New Mexico music's Al Hurricane. The late 1960s in American music produced a unique blend as a result of traditionalist backlash within separate genres. In the aftermath of the British Invasion, many desired a return to the "old values" of rock n' roll. At the same time, there was a lack of enthusiasm in the country sector for Nashville-produced music. What resulted was a crossbred genre known as country rock. Many of his hit songs are All I Have to Offer You (Is Me), Is Anybody Goin' to San Antone, and A Shoulder to Cry On. In 1967, Dolly Parton joined Porter Wagoner's TV show. In 1968, Bob Willis was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, and in 1969, Gene Autry was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. By 1970, Bill Monroe and the Original Carter Family were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. During the 1970's, Bakersfield, California, becomes a center for a west-coast country music style. Ferlin Husky and Buck Owens are early examples of the style. A more contemporary artist is Dwight Yoakum. Precious Lord: New Recordings of the Great Gospel Songs of Thomas A. Dorsey is recorded by Thomas Dorsey, Marion Williams, and others. Thomas A. Dorsey is considered the Father of Gospel Music. Thomas Dorsey is the father of modern Gospel music songwriting.

One of the greatest country music artists is Linda Martell, and she was born on June 4, 1941. She was the first commercially successful black women artist in the country music field. She was the first artist to play in the Grand Ole Opry. As one of the first modern-day African American country artists, she has inspired future Nashville artists of color (including black people). She was born in Leesville, South Carolina, with her name of Thelma Bynum. She grew up listening to country, gospel, and R&B music. She formed a singing trio with her family called Linda Martell and the Anglos. By the 1960's, she made R&B singles with many black performers. She had the cover of Color Him Father. Her debut album was in 1970. Martell gave interviews, gave appearances on many country music television programs and released more music. She performed at Grand Ole Opry 12 times. She loves her three children. Martell has inspired future black artists like Kane Brown and Mickey Guyton (whose stories will be shown in the near future in a future work about country music). Martell was honored with the Equal Play Award at the 2021 CMT Music Awards. It was given to her to honor her work as a black woman performer in country music. A tribute during the broadcast was given by Darius Rucker, Carrie Underwood, Rissi Palmer, Rhiannon Giddens, Jennifer Nettles, and Mickey Guyton. Linda Martell made a full recovery from breast cancer.

Patsy Cline is inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1973. Minnie Pearl is inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1975. In 1976, Willie Nelson creates the Outlaw movement (or Austin sound), exemplified in his album Wanted: The Outlaws, with vocals by Willie, Waylon Jennings, Jessi Colter, and Tompall Glaser. Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Cash, and Hank Williams, Jr., also fit the Outlaw category in their 1970s recordings in 1976. Fourth generation (1970s–1980s) music included outlaw country with roots in the Bakersfield sound, and country pop with roots in the countrypolitan, folk music, and soft rock. Between 1972 and 1975 singer/guitarist John Denver released a series of hugely successful songs blending country and folk-rock musical styles. John Dever was one of the most popular artists of the 1970's. He lived from December 31, 1943 to October 12, 1997. He was born in Roswell, New Mexico. He performed folk, folk rock, pop, Western, country, and soft rock music. He was not only a  singer, composer, actor, and guitarist. John Dever was a record producer, actor, and humanitarian. He loved his three children. John Denver released about 300 songs, with 200 of them being written by himself. He had 33 albums and many singles. Many of his signature songs are Take Me Home, Country Roads, Poems, Prayers, and Promises, Rocky Mountain High, Annie's song, Thank God I'm a Country Boy, Sunshine on My Shoulders, and Calypso. John Denver promotes nature conservation projects. In 1997, Denver filmed an episode for the television series of Nature. His last song was Yellowstone, Coming Home. By the mid-1970s, Texas country and Tejano music gained popularity with performers like Freddie Fender. Kitty Wells is inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1976.

We live in a time nearing Fall of 2024. There is a massive popularity in support Vice President Kamala Harris from across America from North Carolina to Nevada. Now, we live in a new generation. We are near the year 2030. Time is going forward very rapidly as I remember 1996 and the year 2000 just like yesterday. We have seen huge victories and challenges in our time too. The Biden and Harris Presidency recently managed to negotiate an 11 percent price reduction of many medicines for Americans. Medicare can negotiate prescription drug prices for the first time ever due to the Inflation Reduction Act. About two-thirds of the clean energy projects from the Inflation Reduction Act have gone to GOP congressional districts. Every Republican in Congress opposed the legislation, but many of them hypocritically celebrated its impact in their districts. Donald Trump has now proposed a 20 percent tariff on all imports and a 60 percent tariff on Chinese imports. This is a dangerous proposal, because tariffs aren't paid by other countries, but they are paid by people in America. Recent analysis predicted that his plan would cost the average family in America about $3,900 extra per year. Also, J. D. Vance is not using coded language, but he is using overtly sexist and racist language during his campaign. He recently said that the fictional movie Gangs of New York proves that ethnic enclaves in America can lead to higher crime rates. Even the movie Gangs in New York is about a young man avenging the death of his father, and his father was murdered by an anti-immigrant bigot. Vance also forgets that communities in New York City and in other cities like Baldwin Hills (filled with African Americans), Chinatown, Little Italy, Little Havana, etc. contribute heavy positive contributions to American society.

The End of the Week News.

The Project 2025 architect secretly recorded to admit his role in the Trump agenda. We know that Project 2025 is extremist, evil, and fascist. Trump has lied to say that he takes credit for the $35 insulin prices. The reality is that the Inflation Reduction Act (which Trump wants to repeal) capped insulin at $35 a month for all seniors on Medicare. Now, we have some good news. The good news is that the Biden/Harris administration had caused Medicare to reach agreements to lower the price for 10 of the highest-cost drugs (this came after months of negotiations). U.S. inflation has fallen to 2.9 percent, lower than expectations. We have more housing units being under construction than at any time in over 50 years, with new housing up 17 percent compared to the previous Trump administration. Kamala Harris will give her major economic speech about her proposals for the economy in Friday.

Always remember that Project 2025 was created by at least 140 people who worked for Trump in the past. AppHarvest, a startup JD Vance has helped to fund allegedly has been accused of denying workers water breaks, failing to provide workers with adequate safety gear, and forcing workers to do labor in 100-degree heat. This is not a working-class agenda. That is why the Republicans for Harris Zoom meeting has reached over 70,000 people. While J.D. Vance wants to shame women, single people, and other progressive human beings, we believe in fighting for justice for all. Trump's agenda seek to end affirmative action, to curtail voting rights, and to end our democracy as we know it. Our fundamental rights are being threatened by people who don't care about us or our people. We have to stand up for our existence literally.

The 2024 Paris Olympics stand as very historic.

Georgia Governor Kemp is sick of trying to block federal aid for summer meal programs for kids in 2025. Many Democratic legislative leaders want Kemp to change his mind. Georgia is one of the 12 states that didn't participate in the U.S. Department of Agriculture summer EBT Program during this summer. It isn't planning to participate next summer. U.S. House Representative Lucy McBath of Marietta, Georgia is outraged that Governor Kemp will do such an act. This act of Kemp could make many young people in Georgia to be vulnerable to lack adequate food services for them to receive. The EBT services give parents $120 for the months school is not in session to help kids get food. A spokesman for Georgia's Governor said that there are fiscal and nutrition issues with the program which is a lie in my view. This is a federal program helping millions of kids every single year.

Hundreds of veterans sign an open letter to condemn Trump and Vance's attacks on Tim Walz's military service. Ironically, Donald Trump has a known history in disrespecting military service people. Trump has called many military people suckers and losers. He disrespected a military Gold star veteran. John Kerry has been questioned of his military service back in 2004 when Kerry was running for President by a far-right group. Tim Walz said that he is proud of his military service to the country of the United States of America. A lot of military people helped people from natural disasters, freed millions of innocent human beings from Nazis, worked hard to gain an education to live a more successful life, and sacrificed their lives to help their fellow soldiers, even paying the ultimate sacrifice. Therefore, anyone slandering innocent soldiers and military leaders has no respect for me.

News in early August of 2024.

Biden announced a $150 million investment in the cancer moonshot in trying to end cancer as we know it. Recently, over 1.3 million Americans are now being infected with COVID-19 each day. This comes during the summer surge of COVID-19 in 2024. This means that 1 in 38 Americans are infected with the virus according to a new report from Pandemic Mitigation Collaborative (PMC). The lesson here is that we can't be naive about this illness. We don't want unending mass infection, death, and debilitation with Long COVID. Long COVID-19 can possibly last for years and decades if no solution is enacted to help human beings with it. The PLMC model has estimated that Americans have now had COVID-19 on average 3.3 times. According to one study, people who self-report having had 3 infections have a 40 percent chance of developing Long COVID-19. This estimate comes on the heels of the latest groundbreaking study led by Dr. Ziyad Al-Aly, which estimated that by the end of last year over 400 million people were suffering from Long COVID-19 globally.

The popularity of Kamala Harris's Presidential campaign continues. This comes 250 years after the first organized resistance to British rule in North America took place in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. The King George III rule ended by 1783. Recently, a NY State judge just ruled RFK Jr. falsely declared his residence in New York and kicked him off the ballot there. He might appeal. Ukraine is fighting in the Kursk region. Also, a swarm of Ukrainian drones is striking Moscow and an airfield near it. I don't agree with Ukraine attacking Russian territories, but I agree with the Ukrainians in trying to resist the Russian invasion of Ukrainian lands. I understand where they are coming from. Democracy Now said that a secretive Christian nationalist network is trying to purge voters in battleground states. More Republicans are endorsing Kamala Harris for President.

The Las Vegas event reached capacity with Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. Donald Trump seemed to be so jealous that Trump believed in the myth that the crowds were made by A.I. Vance suggests that Kamala Harris and Democrats are anti-family which is silly. What is truly anti-family are those who want to cut welfare, seek to cut Social Security, eliminate free school lunch, and advocate for laws that violate fundamental human rights. New polls show Harris winning against Trump in national polling, including in battleground states. While this is going on, Elon Musk still supports Trump with disinformation. President Joe Biden has cracked down on junk fees, banned non-competes, eliminated student loan debts from millions of Americans, negotiated drug prices, expanded overtime pay, and made it easier to speak to customer service, cancel subscriptions, and get refunds. Tim Waltz has a strong record as governor of Minnesota with 2.9 percent unemployment, 68.3 percent labor force participation rate, and the 3rd best life expectancy. Prices now are even falling in airfares.

Kamala Harris had a rally about immigration in Arizona. Arizona is a border state. The myth is that Democrats are collectively for open borders. The truth is that Democrats have diverse views on immigration from those who are more strict on the border to those who are more compassionate on refugees and asylum seekers. Immigration is a complex issue. We need comprehensive solutions, and some forget that undocumented border crossings have recently gone down too. Vice President Kamala Harris wants to make a balance between border security and the humane treatment of immigrants. Harris and Walz had been to massively energetic crowds in many battleground states like Michigan, Arizona, Nevada, etc. Trump wants to give speeches to give the most negative connotations to modern-day America, and most Americans reject that interpretation of America. In fact, there are good and evil people in America. Yet, tons of Americans are fighting hard to make real change so all people in the world can have justice.

Yesterday was the Birthday of Sister Dawnn Lewis, and she is 63 years old. She is a famous and very talented actress. She was born in Brooklyn, New York City to Carl and Joyce Lewis, who are of African American and Guyanese descent. She sang music at the age of four and acted at the age of 11. At 16, she graduated from the High School of Music & Art in New York City (now called Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School). In college, she majored in musical theater with a minor in journalism, graduating with a Bachelor of Music degree cum laude, from the University of Miami in Carol Gables, Florida, in 1982. Lewis was part of the Broadway musical of The Tap Dance Kid under the name of Dawnn J. Lewis. This was done from August 1, 1985, to July 6, 1986. We know Dawnn Lewis for playing the role of Jalessa Vinson on A Different World show from 1987 to 1992. She worked with diverse people including Jasmine Guy, Kadeem Hardison, Sinbad, Darryl M. Bell, Lisa Bonet, Glynn Thurman, Charnele Brown, etc. In 1992, she was on the CBS film Stompin' at the Savoy with Vanessa Williams under the direction of Debbie Allen. She was on shows like Touched by An Anel, The Parkers, Queen, K.C. Undercover, History of the Sitcom, Harlem, etc. Dawnn Lewis is known for being part of Hanging' with Mr. Cooper from 1992 to 1994. She, Holly Robinson, and the R&B quartet performed the soundtrack of the show. By 2021, Lewis was among the first honorees to be inducted into the Women Songwriters Hall of Fame. I wish Sister Dawnn Lewis more Blessings.

Black women had a moment at the Paris Olympics (msn.com)

The End of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

On August 10, 2024, the Paris Olympics had tons of gold medal victories for the United States of America. The men's USA basketball team won gold against France with the score of 98 to 87. This game was close at times with Victor Wembanyama having 26 points. Yet, the American team with Lebron James, Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, Embiid, and other players worked together to make a victory. France has silver for the fourth time. America has won five consecutive gold medals in men's basketball since 2008. Steph Curry made multiple threes at the end of the fourth quarter to have a victory. Famous people at the game are Jimmy Fallon, Carmelo Anthony, Scottie Pippen, Sue Bird, Megan Rapinoe, Pau Gasol, and Sa'Charri Richardson. So, America had gold, France had silver, and Serbia won bronze. Lin Yu-ting won gold in featherweight boxing. He defeated Poland's Julia Szeremeta. This is Team USA's first goal in soccer since the 2012 Olympics. The team had Trinity Rodman (the daughter of Dennis Rodman), Mallory Swanson, Sophia Smith, Crystal Dunn, and other women representing a new generation of soccer legends. Imane Khelif won gold in the women's welterweight match. For women's gold, Lydia Ko won gold for New Zealand, Germany's Esther Henseleit won silver, and China's Xiyu Lin won bronze. China won women's table tennis match in gold.

The end of the 2024 Paris Olympics has been exciting. Thousands of people are at the closing ceremony celebrating in Paris. The women winners of the marathon were Sifan Hassan of the Netherlands who won gold, Ethiopia's Tigst Assefa who won silver, and Kenya's Hellen Obiri who won the bronze. The USA women's basketball team won gold in their historic eighth-straight gold medal. A'ja Wilson and other teammates worked hard to defeat France with a score of 67-66. Kahleah Cooper and Jackie Young were key in the victory by making crucial shots including playing great defense. A'ja Wilson scored 21 points, 13 boards, and 4 blocks in the game. Jennifer Valente won gold for Team USA in the women's cycling omnium. She defended the Olympic title that she won in Tokyo. Italy won gold in women's volleyball, USA won silver, and USA's Kennedy Blades won silver in the women's freestyle 76 kg wrestling event (Japan's Yuka Kagami won gold).

The closing ceremony has been filled with music. The Paris Games had world record-breaking track races, a historic first for the American women's rugby team, and other events. The closing ceremony started with a performance by Zaho de Sagazan, accompanied by a choir. The song is Sous le ciel de Paris or Under the Prais Skies, Paris's unofficial anthem. French swimmer Leon Marchand ended the Paris Olympic flames. French President Marcon and IOC President Bach started the ceremony in Stade de France. Then, countries enter the stadium by waving their own flags. Katie Ledecky and Nick Mead enter the arena as the Team USA flag bearers. Team USA athletes came into the stadium being cheered by the crowd. The team wore blue Ralph Lauren clothing from head to toe. The winners of the women's marathon earned their medals. The 45,000 Olympic volunteers were recognized. The track and field icon Allyson Felix has been introduced as the new member of the IOC Athletes' Commission. A golden voyager descended into the arena. The figure is masked in head-to-toe gold. The masked torch bearer came back.

The golden voyager raised the Greek flag to commemorate the birthplace of the Olympic Games. Dancers presented the Olympic rings. Then, a watch party existed. Benjamin Bernheim sang Hymn to Apollo with pianist Alain Roche to exhume the Olympic rings. The rings are raised up. Then, the indie rock band Phoenix perform music in celebration of French artists and their influence in music. Tony Estanguet, the President of the Paris 2024 Olympics congratulates the athletes. He said that most marriage proposals ever took place at an Olympic Games. IOC President Thomas Bach thanked the athletes and called for the world to live in a culture of peace. Then, the Olympic flag was lowered in Paris after the performance of the Olympic anthem. The flag was given to Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo, then the IOC President Thomas Bach, and Bach gave it to Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass. This is to represent the transition of host cities. Mayor Bass was accompanied by gymnast Simone Biles. Simone Biles held the Olympic flag, and the R&B singer H.E.R. sang The Star-Spangled Banner. Then, Tom Cruise used a stunt by being lowered by cables from the top to the bottom of the Stade de France via harnesses. Then, Tom Cruise took the flag from Simone Biles and LA Mayor Karen Bass. Tom Cruise (who cheered for gymnastics, swimming, and track and field. He was filming the next chapter of Mission: Impossible in Europe) attached the flag to the back of his motorcycle to drive away. Later, there was a pre-recorded video of Cruise carrying the flag on a motorcycle to a large plane. He drops down at Los Angeles to place the flag on top of the Hollywood sign. Then, the Hollywood sign was shown and LA artists Red Hot Chili Peppers performed. Dr. Dre, Snoop and Billie Eilish performed music in Los Angeles too. Venus Williams gave an introduction to the future Los Angeles Olympic Games in 2028. The Paralympics was promoted. Leon Marchand extinguished the flame. The final song of the Paris Olympics was a rendition of Frank Sinatra's My Way, which was done by Paris singer Yseult. The song was composed by French composer Jacques Revaux and French lyricists Gillies Thibaut and Claude Francois. After the song was shown, fireworks erupted around the Stade de France. The 2024 Paris Olympics is officially over. The Paralympic Games will be next in September 2024, the Winter Olympics will take place in 2026 in Salt Lake City, and the Los Angeles Summer Olympics will happen in 2028.

The 1700's saw massive changes in fashion. By that century, many women wore Baroque and Rococo-influenced dresses. There was the brocaded silk mantua dress filled with fabric and images on it. Many women started to wear healed shows with designs on them made up of fabric. Complex gowns and petticoats were commonplace during that period too. Some of the gowns were white, pink, yellow, and other colors. It included a stomacher, box pleats, lace sleeve ruffles, cartridge plaeatings, and polonaise mechanism. Women hair was designed with feathers and braids, and other forms of clothing. Men, during the 1700's wore boats, petticoats with buttons on them, and linen filled vests. Many in Europe, American colonists, Africans, Asians, Native Americans, etc. wore diverse clothing from neoclassical fashion to fashion common to working-class people. Men wore shoes, boots, and specialized hats back in the 1800's too. Coats back then had cuffs, collars, and designs on them. People wore masks for parties including wearing canes as a fashion statement.

During the 19th century, the world has changed. The early 19th century saw global Revolutions being against monarchs and imperialism like the Haitian Revolution, the American Revolution, the French Revolution, the Latin American Revolution, etc. The result of these events caused democracies to grow and Monarchs to reach the start of the beginning of the end of their empires. Also, imperialism was constantly in growth from Africa to Asia by the 1800's. Human beings by this century saw more population growth, human lifespans increasing, and the Industrial Revolution. The Industrial Revolution was a paradox when it did grow railroads, steamships, roads, and bridges, but it also had its imperfections like workers' exploitation, pollution, the growth of imperialism, and other evils too. The early 1800s saw neoclassicism rise up in fashion. Women wore headdresses, gowns, and sandal shoes. Feathered bonnets and other designs like umbrellas were expressed by women in the 1800's too. Urban culture growing via the Industrial Revolution influenced fashion too. Jewelry filled with pearls and many people wore ncklaces and umbrellas as fashion styles. Many women wore evening hourglass dresses. Many men back in the 1800's wore top hats, canes, and dress shoes. Many men wore wool cloth and tailoring to make their clothes fit. There was sportswear too. As the 1800's continued, there was more dresses with more elaborate designs and bonnets with feathers on them. Dresses began to have silk, there were tassels and specialized sheeves. Charles Worth was a famous designer of the 1800's. The bustle skirt was common too. The bustle was popular during the late 1800's. By the mid to late 1800's, men wore modern-day three-piece suits, dress shows, top hats, and quilted capes. The wardrobe became more business-like. Women wore sportswear with bustle dresses, collar dresses, nautical images, umbrellas, and a walking suit. Many people wore turbans and costumes.

From the late Middle Ages to the early Modern Ages, fashion evolved massively. We saw tons of changes. From the early period, fashion was less detailed and filled with items similar to the days of the ancient Roman Empire. As time moved forward, we saw fabrics being more complex, the growth of elaborate dresses, and new styles of top hats too. During the centuries from 1500 to 1900, massive world changes existed. The monarchies of the world were challenged by revolutions from Haiti to France. People wanted real human rights beyond the centralization of power being contained by a select few Royal interests.

COVID-19 is one of the most mysterious illnesses in human history. It is a very dangerous virus that has harmed and killed millions of people in the human family. The COVID-19 pandemic was the first pandemic of this magnitude since over a century ago with Spanish influenza. The virus started back in late 2019. It spread globally rapidly by early 2020. 2020 was one of the most important years in human history. It was a time of a recession worldwide (including in America), the lockdown of whole countries, and people wearing masks everywhere in the street. There have been massive debates about masks and the vaccine, but people have to experience legitimate health care regardless of background. We ought to act like we live in the 21st century filled with progressive thinking, not ignorance. COVID-19 polarized the nation in many ways, because some people believed in fanatical, false views like COVID-19 is a hoax or that the virus is just like a common cold. Scientific studies document that COVID-19 is much more powerful and dangerous than the common cold. COVID-19 is not as prevalent as it was in 2020, but it is still around globally. People have to take their health seriously, especially knowing about racial and class health disparities. We have to use real understanding in trying to save as many lives as possible. I will always remember COVID-19 and be further inspired to move forward in life.

A lot of historical events have taken place recently. Recently, there has been a major prison swap involving America and Russia. There are many people sent back to America, including four U.S. residents. It took a long time for this event to happen, but the families of the innocent people jailed in Russia are celebrating massively. Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich, and former U.S. Marine Paul Whelan were among two dozen detainees that were released on Thursday. This switch was the biggest prisoner exchange between Russia and the West since the Cold War. President Joe Biden gave a speech to praise the release while realizing many more innocent Americans still must be released from Russian jails. The released Americans include the Russian American journalist Alsu Kurmasheva. These human beings came to Turkey. Later, they came to the United States to meet with their families and friends. There were massive negotiations to make sure that this happened. Nations from Turkey, Germany, and other countries. Once again, diplomacy works to create more solutions in global negotiations. Marc Fogel, an American, must be released still. Vice President Kamala Harris has been very active in helping secure the prisoner deal, involving two high-level meetings in Germany with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golab, according to a Biden senior administration official. Russian-born dissident Vladimir Kara-Murza was released too. Putin hugged the killer who was released. We all believe in democracy and freedom throughout the world. Vice President Kamala Harris said that she will fight to always allow all Americans to be released from Russian prisons.

President Biden was in Austin, Texas to go to the LBJ Presidential library. He made a speech about his proposed reforms to the Supreme Court. As we know, the Supreme Court has gone too far with ethics scandals, establishing reactionary decisions, and being low on popularity among the American populace. President Biden has criticized the Supreme Court's recent decision to give near immunity to the President. Biden is right to say that no one is above the law. Biden also said that one Justice has conflicts of interest with advocates of the January 6th insurrection in 2021. What is happening now is a contradiction of the legal precept of the separation of powers. President Joe Biden wants three bold reforms involving the Supreme Court. Biden wants a Constitutional Amendment called No One is Above the Law Amendment to give every President no unlimited immunity. Biden wants term limits for Supreme Court Justices as there are term limits for Senators and House members. Now, the Supreme Court has lifetime appointments. Biden wants an 18-year term limit for Supreme Court Justice to eliminate bias and to stop conflicts of interests. Biden condemned Project 2025. President Biden wants a bidding code of conduct for the Supreme Court as the current code of conduct is too weak. Biden wants the code of conduct (like the recusal of Justices on certain cases of a conflict of interests, releasing money records, etc.) to be enforceable.

Many MAGA extremists are trying to disenfranchise voters who are in Texas, Pennsylvania, California, and other places in America. Many thousands of voters have their right to cast a vote challenged by activists nearing the November 2024 election. Daniel Moss, a university administrator from Denton County Texas, has his voter registration challenged by one activist. Moss had been in the country and voted for two decades. Election officials have been harassed by evil people who made inaccurate complaints about voter rolls and tried to deny people the right to vote. One group doing this is the conservative Texas-based nonprofit group called True the Vote. It has promoted false theories about voter fraud. The group's founder, Catherine Engelbrecht, has called on followers to research voter data and try to challenge the eligibility of voters. This is Jim Crow 2.0. True the Vote claims to just want to stop fraud, but their challenges have been filled with errors and targeting vulnerable people like elderly human beings, homeless people, etc. This is why we say that voter suppression efforts are real.

One of the most important events now is the far-right extremists using riots all over the United Kingdom. These people are not freedom fighters. They are not for the interests of the people of the United Kingdom. They don't represent the vast majority of the people in the UK. They are of the same ilk as the Nazis decades ago who can't stand diversity, immigrants, and refugees. The Golden Rule dictates that you treat your neighbor as yourself. These far-right terrorists have burned buildings, beat black people in England, assaulted Muslims, abused people of Pakistani descent, and lied about their own history. Many of these far-right people are descendants of the Jutes, Angles, Saxons, and Normans in England. These people were not indigenous to the United Kingdom originally. They came from Germany and Scandinavia. The Norman invasion of England took place in 1066 A.D. Recently, we have DNA evidence of black sub-Saharan African people who lived in the UK long before 1066. These riots represent the growth of the fascist movements. Many of my relatives were WWII veterans who fought in Normandy in real life and in other places to defeat fascism. In our generation in 2024, we have to defeat fascism again. Now, these far-right terrorists have been egged on by people like Tommy Robinson who falsely claimed that the perpetrator of the knife attack killing three innocent children (in Southport, England) was done by a Muslim asylum seeker. Now, these criminals have attacked immigrants' homes and shops They destroyed property. Richard Rice and Nigel Farage defend these terrorists as "concerned British citizens." They are not concerned citizens but thugs and far-right racist savages. These far-right terrorists don't care about children or morality. They only desire the power to oppress vulnerable human beings. Anti-fascist protesters have protected many immigrants in England too. Extreme nationalism and xenophobia merge readily into violence as history teaches us. This fascist movement is embraced by Donald Trump, Marine Le Pen in France, it's found in Hungary (with Orban), etc. It is important to confront poverty, end economic inequality, and reject austerity.

Cori Bush lost her primary to Bush in Missouri. This comes after AIPAC funded millions of dollars to defeat her. AIPAC believes in the old lie that any form of dissent with Israeli policy is equivalent to anti-Semitism. To AIPAC, if you stand for the human rights of Palestinians and progressive-minded Israelis, then you're anti-Semitic. AIPAC hypocritically claims to be for freedom, but financially funds pro-insurrectionist Republicans and far-right extremists. AIPAC claims to oppose Hamas killing Jewish people, and Hamas is a terrorist organization. Hamas is completely wrong to kill, rape, and kidnap Israeli people. Yet, AIPAC is morally bankrupt to back insurrectionist Republicans. This is documented by The Guardian and other mainstream media outlets too. AIPAC funded Jim Jordan and Scott Perry, who plotted with Trump to try to illegally overthrow the 2020 election results. This is why the moderate group J Street has condemned this action by AIPAC. A far-right Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been documented by Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, and the United Nations as committing war crimes, and AIPAC sugarcoats that truth. We can both promote a 2-state solution and advocate a ceasefire to end that war at the same time. Both things aren't mutually exclusive. Palestinians don't need to be in occupation and treated like 2nd class citizens. They desire their own liberation and real human rights. That is not anti-Semitism but reality.

Now, the Presidential race in 2024 is starting to increase in intensity. Donald Trump and Kamala Harris will debate each other on September 10, 2024, on ABC. At first, Trump did not want to have a debate at ABC. The two other proposed Presidential debates are up in the air. Kamala Harris and her running mate Tim Walz are trying to court Auto workers in Michigan. Trump has criticized Harris and Walz in Florida by issuing falsehoods about Harris and Walz. Trump has praised his own running mate J.D. Vance. Harris and Walz are touring the nation to promote their views on the economy and what they desire to be in the future. The bipartisan American Bar Association has publicly called upon lawyers to defend democracy. This is part of our civic and moral duty to defend and strengthen our natural human rights from voting to living where we want without oppression.

There are many Paris Summer Olympic developments in the date of August 7, 2024.. For the first time, Team USA will wear no medals involving beach volleyball. The U.S. women's basketball team beats Nigeria 88-74 to reach the women's semifinal. Every member of the American women's basketball team scored. As for the women's pole vault, Katie Moon won silver, Australia's Nina Kennedy won gold, and Canada's Alysha Newman won bronze. Taiwan's Lin Yu-ting will fight in the finals of the featherweight boxing match.

America's Quincy Hall won gold in the 400m men's race. Quincy Hall was trailing at first, and he had to dig deep to win the race stunningly. Great Britain's Matthew Hudson-Smith won silver and Zambia's Muzala Samukonga won bronze. Hall rang the bell and made a snow angel on the track to celebrate. The women's USA team won silver for artistic swimming for their first medal in 20 years. The song was Smooth Criminal by Michael Jackson for one of their routines. China won gold. The 200m finals will include 3 Americans who are Erriyon Knighton, Noah Lyles, and Kenneth Bednarek. Rai Benjamin of America also advanced to the 400m hurdles final. The U.S. men water polo team goes into the semifinals for the first time since 2008 after defeating Australia. The U.S. team will face Serbia in the semifinals. America's Kristen Faulkner won gold in the team pursuit race of cycling. The team is made up of Faulkner, Jennifer Valente, Lily Williams, and Chloe Dygert. New Zealand won silver, and Great Britain won bronze. America's men's volleyball team will compete for bronze after losing to Poland. Australia's Keegan Palmer being 21 defended his gold medal in the park finals, Tom Schaar won silver, and Brazil's Augusto Ako won bronze. Snoop Dogg was there to cheer. Hampton Morris won bronze in the 61kg division weightlifting for men, China's Li Fabin won gold, and Thailand's Theerapong Silachi won silver. Kevin Durant broke Lisa Leslie's Olympic record for the most points scored by an American Olympian basketball player, and Durant praised Lisa Leslie afterward. Kevin Durant wrote the following words, "Lisa Leslie you are the gold standard in basketball."

Cori Bush lost her primary to Bush in Missouri. This comes after AIPAC funded millions of dollars to defeat her. AIPAC believes in the old lie that any form of dissent with Israeli policy is equivalent to anti-Semitism.
