Late November 2023 Updates on Wednesday.

Donald Trump saying that he wants to terminate the Constitution, if necessary, merits anyone to not vote for him in 2024. Anyone voting for Trump is a disgrace. There are many shills and agents who claim to be "politically independent" but agree with Trump who is a far-right extremist. Trump isn't being funded by far-right interests alone. He is also being funded by many corporate interests. Recently, Nazis were marching in the streets of Madison, Wisconsin. This didn't happen in 1933 but in 2023 in November of this year. This threat of far-right fascism is not a game. That is why we oppose hate, fascism, and political violence against innocent human life. There ought to be no minimization of what is taking place here in the world. The Washington Post reported that airlines, banks, credit card companies, and ticket sellers have lobbied aggressively against the Biden Administration's crackdown on junk fees. There is some breaking news that Prosecutor Fani Willis requests an August 6, 2024, start date for the Georgia RICO election interference trial. Trump faces multiple trials facing fines and serious prison time.

There are details about the hostage deal. The deal would release 50 women and children and lead to a 4 to 5-day pause in fighting. Three Palestinian prisoners in Israel would be freed for every civilian hostage that is released. There are almost 1.7 million people being displaced in Gaza since October 7, 2023, according to a U.N. agency. Up to 50 percent of the buildings in northern Gaza and Gaza governorates have been damaged since October 7 during the Israel-Hamas war. U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin spoke with his Israeli counterpart Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on Tuesday according to the Pentagon. The two leaders talked about Israel's operations against Hamas as well as trying to send humanitarian aid to Gaza along with protecting civilians in Gaza. This war has been terrible for innocent Israeli and Palestinian civilians who deserve to live not to die. There are evil people who praise Hamas for murdering men, women, children, and babies. There are other evil people who seek to dehumanize Palestinian people. Both groups of people should be disagreed with.

The far-right libertarian Javier Milei won the Argentina Presidential election. He has been praised by Trump and other far-right leaders. Milei wants to exterminate inflation. He has been a TV personality for years. He had more votes than his center-left finance minister Sergio Massa. Milei wants to abolish the central bank and dollarize the economy. 40 percent of Argentina's 45 million citizens live in poverty. Far-right extremist Brazil's former president Jair Bolsonaro has promoted his campaign. Elon Musk praised him too. Mile questioned the crimes of the dictatorship from 1976 to 198 when 30,000 people were killed by the military regime. Many Argentinians voted against their self-interests by allying with Javier Milei. Argentina has a long history of racism against black people and Native Americans. After World War II, many Nazis took refuge in Argentina. There are still progressive voices in Buenos Aires and in other places of Argentina who will resist the far-right movement from Milei indeed.

Some terrible news is that the 8th Circuit Court upheld a lower court ruling that private individuals can't bring lawsuits under Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act. This ruling means that the Voting Rights Act can be null and void, because it will prevent anyone (except the Justice Department) from suing criminals who violate the law of the Voting Rights Act. The court wants groups and citizens to not sue people who violate federal voting rights laws except the federal government. This ruling is unjust and evil. This ruling is much more than the banning of Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act (which was terrible too). The Moore v. U.S. is an important case. If the Supreme Court strikes down the repatriation tax, massive corporations will get billions of dollars in tax giveaways.  Justices John Roberts and Samuel Alito together have stock in companies that get over $30 billion in tax breaks.

The Colorado court didn't ban Trump from running for President in Colorado, but the judge admitted that Trump engaged in insurrection on January 6, 2021. We have seen Hitler-like rhetoric shown by the MAGA cult. Trump wants to suspend the Constitution in his own words, deploy the Department of Justice to indict dissidents, impose citizens' arrest of prosecutors, and have "retribution." Many think tanks, law firms, and others want to replace the constitutional government with an authoritarian pro-Trump system. Trump and his cultists believe in massive austerity, massive deregulation, no birthright citizenship, and massive anti-immigrant raids under a unitary executive. Biden and Xi agreed to fight the fentanyl crisis which is very historic. Ukraine continues to liberate more hands on the east bank of the Dnieper River. Tons of Russians want to end the war too. For the Middle Eastern crisis, there should be a ceasefire, the freeing of Israeli hostages, the usage of humanitarian aid, postwar reconstruction of Gaza and development, a two-state solution, and other actions that promote real justice in that region.
