Late November 2023 News.

President Biden signed the stopgap spending bill which averts a government shutdown in November of 2023. He did it early Thursday morning. This delays a new spending debate until next year in 2024. The Senate passed the measure Wednesday by a vote of 87 to 11. There are new shutdown deadlines in January and February of 2024. The deal is that funding will extend for priorities including military construction, veterans' affairs, transportation, housing, and the Energy Department until January 19. The proposal doesn't include more aid for Israel and Ukraine. Many House conservatives wanted deep spending cuts that Democrats opposed. The House Democrats voted more for the measure than House Republicans. Right now, Nikki Haley is gaining more support as Tim Scott has left the race. Tim Scott donors have supported Haley today. Polls have shown that Haley is now in 2nd place in the Republican race.

The Ethics Committee report was so thorough in exposing George Santos's corruption that he won't seek reelection. He may be voted out of Congress which should happen. The Ethics Committee report found that there is substantial evidence that New York Congressman Santos used campaign funds for personal purposes. The committee found uncharged and unlawful conduct done by Santos that went beyond the criminal allegations already pending against him. The committee wants to refer the allegations to the Justice Department for further investigation. Elon Musk supporting an anti-Semitic post on X is not shocking to me. The post mentioned the anti-Semitic lie that Jewish people want to show hatred of white people. This lie is promoted in the Great Replacement lie shown in Charlottesville by racists marching with torches. In October 2023 alone, anti-Semitic attacks in NYC increased by over 200 percent. In places nationwide anti-Semitic attacks have gone up by racist graffiti shown in Jewish locations, Jewish students being assaulted and harmed in colleges, Jewish cemeteries being desecrated, and posters of Jewish hostages in Gaza being torn down. All of these actions are evil and have no justification.

President Biden met with Chairman Xi of China recently. They met in the south of San Francisco on Wednesday. Before the meeting, China and American relations had been at their lowest in over 50 years. Both sides disagree on Taiwan, various ocean borders, and balloons. Expectations were low. Both Biden and Xi shook hands and participated in many important political discussions from trade to Taiwan. Biden wants to ease tensions involving the Asia-Pacific where both sides dispute where planes and ships can travel into. Xi wants a long-term de-escalation of tensions among both nations. Yet, that will take time, and both countries have to set up the rules of the road so to speak in dealing with trade, economic competition, and other matters. Both Biden and Xi face challenges in their own nations. Biden faces the Mideast crisis, economic growth but uncertainty, and a growing base being skeptical of his Presidency (after years of progressive legislation passed in a manner similar to the Great Society). Xi has a society where the economic crisis is real with high youth unemployment, a collapsing housing market, and a problem with democratic rights (as the Internet is censored heavily, religious freedom is heavily regulated, and dissidents are oppressed in China). So, the communication in dialogue continues between America and China to witness a path forward in this changing 21st century.

Some breaking news is that Diddy or Brother Love has been accused of abuse and rape of his former girlfriend Cassie. Cassie is suing Diddy for $30 million. Cassie accused Diddy of creating abuse and rape for many years. Cassie said that Diddy made her have sex with male escorts, promoted drugs, and physically harmed her on multiple occasions. Cassie said that Diddy was involved in Kid Cudi's car being blown up after Cassie talked with Kid Cudi. Diddy's lawyer has denied all allegations against Diddy. If the allegations are true, Diddy should not only pay a fine, but he should be in prison too.  Regardless if these allegations are true or not, people should be reminded that abuse and rape are wrong period. People should use common sense and show dignity and respect to human beings. Diddy's corrupt actions are no secret from beating Steve Stoute with a bottle to other things like trying to strike a coach with a kettlebell years ago. Therefore, we know that we can't deify celebrities.

Israeli forces conducted a targeted raid of Gaza's Main Hospital. The Al-Shifa Hospital was targeted. Israel said that the hospital is used by Hamas in its basement. Pro-Palestinian activists say that this act is a clear aggressive action in violation of international law. There is no question that Hamas stole food in Gaza, blocked Palestinians from traveling, and terrorized Palestinian people for years. Yet, the excessive bombing campaigns have caused a massive death toll against Palestinian people. This death toll is not some conspiracy by Hamas. It's real. The lives lost shouldn't be minimized. Netanyahu has been upfront to seek a security stronghold in Gaza in violation of the aspirations of the Palestinian people. Washington supports these actions by Israel. Over 10,000 Palestinian people dead to me doesn't feel right. Doctors getting hit and ventilators being destroyed in a hospital (which the mainstream media heavily isn't reporting) is not right. Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich wants Arabic people to "voluntarily" to leave Gaza. Exposing Israeli war crimes in Gaza is not anti-Semitism and condemning Hamas's massive terrorism is not Islamophobia either. Raids are in the West Bank where Palestinian homes and businesses are being destroyed. Christians are spit at in Israel, one body of a hostage was found in a Gazan hospital, racism against Afro-Palestinians exists in Palestine, black people are discriminated against by racist Arabic people in the Middle East, and Hamas is a terrorist organization. All of these things are facts. Therefore, we have to expose all evil in order for good to flourish.
