The Minnepolis Mayor and the Minnesota Attorney General have a press conference. It has a lawsuit against the DHS, ICE, and the Border Patrol. They condemn ICE targeting churches and other locations that they feel causes harm to the people of Minnesota. The Attorney General said that schools have gone into lockdown and online education has existed after ICE raids. The Minnesota Attorney General said that the actions of ICE have made people afraid to go into stores to buy items. Many ICE agents wear masks on their faces and lack camera phones. Some don't even identify their names. Many ICE has lax qualifications. The DHS, according to the Attorney General, has refused to accept warrants when going into restaurants. It has been documented on how ICE has detained American citizens being held in hours, how they have racially profiled people (which is immoral), and done many unconstitutional actions. This comes after the killing of Renee Nicole Good. The mayor of Minneapolis said that Trump is targeting Minnesota, because the state is run by Democrats. He said that ICE is increasing the financial burdens in the area and small businesses are losing revenue. Mayor Kaholy Her of St. Paul has condemned the federal occupation of St. Paul and the racial profiling done by ICE against human beings. She said that they are straining resources and promoting distrust. She wants to legally fight against this injustice. She said that her state is a state that welcomes refugees, immigrants, and other human beings.
The protests in Iran has increased. The people in Iran has every God given right to protest the Iranian regime. The Iranian regime has killed at least 2,000 people in Iran which is wrong and obviously an injustice. Since 1979, Iran went from the fascistic Shah to a theocratic, authoritarian regime. Both types of regimes have done harm to the individual liberties of the Iranian people. Now, we have a new generation of fearless Iranian protesters who want to make a great change. This is the most massive protests in Iran since the 1979 Iranian Revolution. Trump has threatened military action against Iranian governmental targets after the protest deaths. The Iranian government has executed an Internet blackout. Trump said that Iranian authorities will pay a big price for the killings and wanted people to keep protesting. The paradox is that Trump ran on isolationism and in 2006, Trump's foreign policy is more neo-conservative. Many of the younger Iranians are saying no more and they are desiring democracy. The protests have spread to 180 cities and towns in all 21 provinces. They are protesting about authoritarianism (being controlled by the Ayatollah), the collapse of the Iranian currency, and the high cost of living. At the end of the day, the Iranian protesters are entitled to have their nation of Iran to experience freedom and democracy. That time is precisely now.
Trump wants to fire Lisa Cook of the Federal Reserve, because Trump wants the FED to give him a rubber stamp to do what he wants with the economic markets. He wants to the control the central bank which is illegal as that can harm free markets. Liberals and conservatives even agree that politicians should never have inordinate control over the FED. Many voters have voted over poor economic policies. Because of COVID-19 induced recession, that was one reason out of many on why Biden won the 2020 election. The economy can shape elections in a massively important way. Incumbents readily lose during eras of recessions. Our economy now in 2026 has been massive economic growth for the super-rich while some in the poor, working class, and middle-class struggle to survive.
Once again, Donald Trump made another racist remark. This person said that landmark 1960s civil rights protections resulted in white people being treated very badly. He is a lying piece of work. The truth is that landmark 1960s civil rights protections was about fighting discrimination, fighting racism, and giving equal rights to all people regardless of color. Trump's remarks have been condemned by Derrick Johnson, the president of the NAACP. Far too often, far right MAGA extremists believe in the lie that promoting civil rights and voting rights is anti-white. That is why Trump is a racist. He denies the necessary to end systems of white racism, because is a supporter of that system. Trump is a notorious racist for saying that Jewish people who didn't vote for him aren't "loyal," calling black people who disagree with him low IQ, calling Mitch McConnell's wife an anti-Asian racist slur, calling Somalians "garbage," saying that an Mexican American judge can't judge an immigration case fairly because of his Mexican heritage, and supporting statues of racist Confederates on public (being taxpayer funded) grounds. Anyone supporting Donald Trump is a someone who is deluded to put it lightly.
Claudette Colvin passed away yesterday on January 13, 2026 at the age of 86 years old. She promoted civil rights in her life. She refused to give up her seat to a white woman on a crowded, segregated bus on March 2, 1955, when she was 15 years old. She, Rosa Parks, and others helped to start the 1955 Montgomery bus boycott. She was born in Montgomery; Alabama and she passed away in Texas. The Browder v. Gayle case challenged bus segregation in the city of Montgomery. It would take until 2021 for Colvin's unjust arrest and adjudication of delinquency was expunged by the district court in the county where the charges against her were brought more than 66 years earlier. He went to New York City in 1958 to find work. She became a nurse's aide in a nursing home in Manhattan. She retired in 2004. She had 2 songs. She has four grandchildren from her son Randy, who is an accountant in Atlanta.
Rest in Power Sister Claudette Colvin.
