My Debate with Someone on Abortion

There are more of this debate, but this is the most recent discussion.

From http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VDuiLu6Sdg

Me: Let be real, abortion is immoral. Abortion destroys unborn human beings from the Earth. It intentionally shed innocent blood therefore it is murder. It has dangerous side effects and abortion contradicts the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. It actually eliminates the unborn babies' right of choice to live on this Earth. Abortion ends all choices of the child to possess.

Boobalopbop: You're a man aren't you?

Me: Many non-slaves opposed slavery then and now. Many non-Jewish people then and now opposed the Holocaust. I'm a man. Yet,your gender shouldn't factor in the argument on whether abortion is justified or not.

Me: I don't mean folks getting paid a salary for having children. I mean that more babies potentially can grow up and create more jobs. That can result in bringing more investments and money to help how solve structural problems in this nation. We do have healthcare. With abortion, potential leaders, heroes, and experts that can solve the welfare, underaged pregnancies, and healthcare crisis are exterminated from the Earth. Somebody omitted that information. Not to mention that Planned Parenthood was created by many eugenicists. Sanger called humans weeds and unfit.

Boobalopbop: I've never had an abortion and I can honestly say I will never have 1. The idea of killing something that could have been a life, that could have been my child is something I personally couldn't live with... But I have no right to decide what anyone else does with their body and their life. Many people are in positions where having a child could really destroy them, and that child will be born into a miserable situation. Nobody has the right to make that choice for another person. End point.

Me: That's probably one main argument for abortion. The problem with that is it disrespects our moral responsibility. For example, using your justification I can say I disagree with slavery, but others can have slaves since it's not my body. Laws exist restrictingpersonalbehavior of our bodies and deciding what we can or can't do with our bodies. That's why it's illegal to ingest certain poisons or to have rape plus murder. It is immoral to play God and say since you're unfit this unborn baby dies.

Boobalopbop: Look... I'm done. We obvoiusly arent getting anywhere when you're comparing a woman aborting a pregnancy to the rape and enslavement of other human beings. Lets not forget rape often leads to an unwanted pregnancy...which should result in an abortion. Or when slave masters would force slaves to breed with strangers...leading to another unwanted pregnancy.... You know, lets just not go there. We'll agree to disagree, because I don't think you're making any sense.

Me: Please name me what reason you punish an unborn for the actions of a rapist. I didn't compare, I use examples. Also, killing is killing. Killing an unborn baby is the same as killing a human being. I don't think you're making any sense. I told you that abortion kills the unborn, it has dangerous side effects, it contradicts the right to life, and early founders of PP were eugenicists. You can't refute that. We can agree to disagree though.
