Excellent Gary Null interview with Kurt Cobb and Dr Nate Hagens (former editor of Oil Drum) about Peak Oil and the socio-economic impact of depleting fossil fuel resources; the ecological foundation of the economy. Includes comments on why political leaders who are very aware of Peak Oil, Peak Energy, Peak Resources, Peak Population, etc. don't speak about these issues; because quite simply to put it bluntly: they would not be elected for telling the truth about ecological reality foundation of the economy.
Obstacles to democratically mitigate Ecological, Economic and Climate Collapse; and possible or definite Near Term Extinction (How and Why citizens don't elect ego and ecologically literate politicians):
